1At si Moises ay yumaon at sinalita ang mga salitang ito sa buong Israel. 2At kaniyang sinabi sa kanila, Ako'y may isang daan at dalawang pung taon sa araw na ito; hindi na ako makapaglalabas at pumasok; at sinabi ng Panginoon sa akin, Huwag kang tatawid sa Jordang ito. 3Magpapauna ang Panginoon mong Dios at kaniyang lilipulin ang mga bansang ito sa harap mo, at iyong aariin: si Josue ay magpapauna sa iyo, gaya ng sinalita ng Panginoon. 4At gagawin sa kanila ng Panginoon ang gaya ng ginawa kay Sehon, at kay Og, na mga hari ng mga Amorrheo, at sa kanilang lupain na kaniyang nilipol. 5At ibibigay sila ng Panginoon sa harap mo, at iyong gagawin sa kanila ang ayon sa buong utos na aking iniutos sa iyo. 6Kayo'y magpakalakas at magpakatapang, huwag kayong matakot, ni mangilabot sa kanila; sapagka't ang Panginoon mong Dios ay siyang yumayaong kasama mo; hindi ka niya iiwan ni pababayaan ka niya. 7At tinawag ni Moises si Josue at sinabi sa kaniya sa paningin ng buong Israel, Ikaw ay magpakalakas at magpakatapang: sapagka't ikaw ay yayaong kasama ng bayang ito sa lupain na isinumpa ng Panginoon sa kanilang mga magulang na ibibigay sa kanila; at iyong ipamamana sa kanila. 8At ang Panginoon, ay siyang nagpapauna sa iyo; siya'y sasa iyo, hindi ka niya iiwan, ni pababayaan ka: ikaw ay huwag matatakot ni manglulupaypay. 9At isinulat ni Moises ang kautusang ito, at ibinigay sa mga saserdote na mga anak ni Levi, na silang nagdadala ng kaban ng tipan ng Panginoon, at sa lahat ng matanda sa Israel. 10At iniutos sa kanila ni Moises, na sinabi, Sa katapusan ng bawa't pitong taon, sa takdang panahon ng taon ng pagtubos, sa kapistahan ng mga balag, 11Pagdating ng buong Israel upang pakita sa harap ng Panginoon mong Dios sa dakong kaniyang pipiliin ay iyong babasahin ang kautusang ito sa harap ng buong Israel sa kanilang pakinig. 12Pisanin mo ang bayan, ang mga lalake at mga babae at mga bata, at ang iyong taga ibang lupa na nasa loob ng iyong mga pintuang-daan, upang kanilang marinig, at upang kanilang pagaralan, at matakot sa Panginoon mong Dios, at isagawa ang lahat ng mga salita ng kautusang ito; 13At upang ang kanilang mga anak, na hindi nakakilala, ay makarinig at magaral na matakot sa Panginoon ninyong Dios, habang kayo'y nabubuhay sa lupain na inyong pinaroroonan, na inyong itinatawid ng Jordan upang ariin. 14At sinabi ng Panginoon kay Moises, Narito, ang iyong mga araw na ikamamatay ay nalalapit: tawagin mo si Josue, at magsiharap kayo sa tabernakulo ng kapisanan upang siya'y aking mapagbilinan. At si Moises at si Josue ay yumaon at humarap sa tabernakulo ng kapisanan. 15At ang Panginoon ay napakita sa Tolda, sa isang tila haliging ulap; at ang tila haliging ulap ay tumayo sa pintuan ng tabernakulo. 16At sinabi ng Panginoon kay Moises, Narito, ikaw ay matutulog na kasama ng iyong mga magulang; at ang bayang ito'y babangon, at sasamba sa kakaibang mga dios sa lupain, na kanilang pinaroroonan upang sumagitna nila, at ako'y pababayaan, at sisirain ang aking tipan na aking ipinakipagtipan sa kanila. 17Kung magkagayo'y ang aking galit ay magaalab laban sa kanila sa araw na yaon, at aking pababayaan sila, at aking ikukubli ang aking mukha sa kanila, at sila'y sasakmalin, at maraming kasamaan at kabagabagan ang darating sa kanila; na anopa't kanilang sasabihin sa araw na yaon, Hindi ba ang mga kasamaang ito ay dumating sa atin dahil sa ang ating Dios ay wala sa gitna natin? 18At ikukubli ko nga ang aking mukha sa araw na yaon dahil sa buong kasamaang kanilang ginawa, sa paraang sila'y pumihit sa ibang mga dios. 19Ngayon nga'y sulatin ninyo sa ganang inyo ang awit na ito, at ituro mo sa mga anak ni Israel: ilagay mo sa kanilang mga bibig, upang ang awit na ito'y maging saksi sa akin laban sa mga anak ni Israel. 20Sapagka't pagka sila'y naipasok ko na sa lupain na aking isinumpa sa kanilang mga magulang, na binubukalan ng gatas at pulot, at sila'y nakakain at nabusog at tumaba; ay pipihit nga sila sa ibang mga dios, at paglilingkuran nila, at ako'y lalabagin nila, at sisirain ang aking tipan. 21At mangyayari na pagka ang maraming kasamaan at kabagabagan ay dumating sa kanila, ay magpapatotoo ang awit na ito sa harap nila na pinakasaksi; sapagka't hindi malilimutan ng mga bibig ng kanilang binhi; sapagka't talastas ko ang kanilang iniisip na kanilang inaakala ngayon pa, bago ko sila ipasok sa lupain na isinumpa ko. 22Kaya't isinulat ni Moises ang awit na ito nang araw ding yaon, at itinuro sa mga anak ni Israel. 23At kaniyang pinagbilinan si Josue na anak ni Nun, at sinabi, Ikaw ay magpakalakas at magpakatapang: sapagka't iyong ipapasok ang mga anak ni Israel sa lupain na isinumpa ko sa kanila; at ako'y sasa iyo. 24At nangyari, nang matapos ni Moises na masulat ang mga salita ng kautusang ito sa isang aklat, hanggang sa natapos, 25Na nagutos si Moises sa mga Levita, na may dala ng kaban ng tipan ng Panginoon, na sinasabi, 26Kunin ninyo ang aklat na ito ng kautusan at ilagay ninyo sa siping ng kaban ng tipan ng Panginoon ninyong Dios, upang doo'y maging pinakasaksi laban sa iyo. 27Sapagka't talastas ko ang iyong panghihimagsik, at ang iyong matigas na ulo: narito, nabubuhay pa akong kasama ninyo, sa araw na ito, kayo'y naging mapanghimagsik laban sa Panginoon: at gaano pa kaya pagkamatay ko? 28Pulungin mo ang mga matanda sa iyong mga lipi at ang inyong mga pinuno upang masalita ko ang mga salitang ito sa kanilang pakinig, at matawag ang langit at ang lupa na pinakasaksi laban sa kanila. 29Sapagka't talastas ko na pagkamatay ko, kayo'y mangagsisisama at mangaliligaw sa daan na aking itinuro sa inyo; at ang kasamaan ay sasapit sa inyo sa mga huling araw; sapagka't inyong gagawin yaong masama sa paningin ng Panginoon, upang ipamungkahi niya kayo sa kagalitan sa pamamagitan ng mga gawa ng inyong mga kamay. 30At sinalita ni Moises sa pakinig ng buong kapisanan ng Israel ang mga salita ng awit na ito, hanggang sa natapos.
1Moses went and spoke these words to all Israel. 2He said to them, “I am one hundred twenty years old this day. I can no more go out and come in. Yahweh has said to me, ‘You shall not go over this Jordan.’ 3Yahweh your God himself will go over before you. He will destroy these nations from before you, and you shall dispossess them. Joshua will go over before you, as Yahweh has spoken. 4Yahweh will do to them as he did to Sihon and to Og, the kings of the Amorites, and to their land; whom he destroyed. 5Yahweh will deliver them up before you, and you shall do to them according to all the commandment which I have commanded you. 6Be strong and courageous. Don’t be afraid or scared of them; for Yahweh your God himself is who goes with you. He will not fail you nor forsake you.” 7Moses called to Joshua, and said to him in the sight of all Israel, “Be strong and courageous, for you shall go with this people into the land which Yahweh has sworn to their fathers to give them; and you shall cause them to inherit it. 8Yahweh himself is who goes before you. He will be with you. He will not fail you nor forsake you. Don’t be afraid. Don’t be discouraged.” 9Moses wrote this law, and delivered it to the priests the sons of Levi, who bore the ark of the covenant of Yahweh, and to all the elders of Israel. 10Moses commanded them, saying, “At the end of every seven years, in the set time of the year of release, in the feast of tents, 11when all Israel has come to appear before Yahweh your God in the place which he will choose, you shall read this law before all Israel in their hearing. 12Assemble the people, the men and the women and the little ones, and the foreigners who are within your gates, that they may hear, and that they may learn, and fear Yahweh your God, and observe to do all the words of this law; 13and that their children, who have not known, may hear, and learn to fear Yahweh your God, as long as you live in the land where you go over the Jordan to possess it.” 14Yahweh said to Moses, “Behold, your days approach that you must die. Call Joshua, and present yourselves in the Tent of Meeting, that I may commission him.” Moses and Joshua went, and presented themselves in the Tent of Meeting. 15Yahweh appeared in the Tent in a pillar of cloud, and the pillar of cloud stood over the Tent’s door. 16Yahweh said to Moses, “Behold, you shall sleep with your fathers. This people will rise up, and play the prostitute after the strange gods of the land, where they go to be among them, and will forsake me, and break my covenant which I have made with them. 17Then my anger shall be kindled against them in that day, and I will forsake them, and I will hide my face from them, and they shall be devoured, and many evils and troubles shall come on them; so that they will say in that day, ‘Haven’t these evils come on us because our God is not among us?’ 18I will surely hide my face in that day for all the evil which they have done, in that they have turned to other gods. 19“Now therefore write this song for yourselves, and teach it to the children of Israel. Put it in their mouths, that this song may be a witness for me against the children of Israel. 20For when I have brought them into the land which I swore to their fathers, flowing with milk and honey, and they have eaten and filled themselves, and grown fat; then they will turn to other gods, and serve them, and despise me, and break my covenant. 21It will happen, when many evils and troubles have come on them, that this song will testify before them as a witness; for it will not be forgotten out of the mouths of their descendants; for I know their ways and what they are doing this day, before I have brought them into the land which I swore.” 22So Moses wrote this song the same day, and taught it the children of Israel. 23He commissioned Joshua the son of Nun, and said, “Be strong and courageous; for you shall bring the children of Israel into the land which I swore to them. I will be with you.” 24When Moses had made an end of writing the words of this law in a book, until they were finished, 25Moses commanded the Levites, who bore the ark of the covenant of Yahweh, saying, 26“Take this book of the law, and put it by the side of the ark of the covenant of Yahweh your God, that it may be there for a witness against you. 27For I know your rebellion, and your stiff neck. Behold, while I am yet alive with you this day, you have been rebellious against Yahweh. How much more after my death? 28Assemble to me all the elders of your tribes, and your officers, that I may speak these words in their ears, and call heaven and earth to witness against them. 29For I know that after my death you will utterly corrupt yourselves, and turn aside from the way which I have commanded you; and evil will happen to you in the latter days; because you will do that which is evil in the sight of Yahweh, to provoke him to anger through the work of your hands.” 30Moses spoke in the ears of all the assembly of Israel the words of this song, until they were finished.

Jozua zal voor uw aangezicht overgaan, gelijk als de HEERE gesproken heeft. 4En de HEERE zal hun doen, gelijk als Hij aan Sihon en Og, koningen der Amorieten, en aan hun land, gedaan heeft, die Hij verdelgd heeft. 5Wanneer hen nu de HEERE voor uw aangezicht zal gegeven hebben, dan zult gij hun doen naar alle gebod, dat ik ulieden geboden heb. 6Weest sterk en hebt goeden moed, en vreest niet, en verschrikt niet voor hun aangezicht; want het is de HEERE, uw God, Die met u gaat; Hij zal u niet begeven, noch u verlaten. 7En Mozes riep Jozua, en zeide tot hem voor de ogen van gans Israel: Wees sterk en heb goeden moed, want gij zult met dit volk ingaan in het land dat de HEERE hun vaderen gezworen heeft, hun te zullen geven; en gij zult het hun doen erven. 8De HEERE nu is Degene, Die voor uw aangezicht gaat; Die zal met u zijn; Hij zal u niet begeven, noch u verlaten; vrees niet, en ontzet u niet. 9En Mozes schreef deze wet, en gaf ze aan de priesteren, de zonen van Levi, die de ark des verbonds des HEEREN droegen, en aan alle oudsten van Israel. 10En Mozes gebood hun, zeggende: Ten einde van zeven jaren, op den gezetten tijd van het jaar der vrijlating, op het feest der loofhutten. 11Als gans Israel zal komen, om te verschijnen voor het aangezicht des HEEREN, uws Gods, in de plaats, die Hij zal verkoren hebben, zult gij deze wet voor gans Israel uitroepen, voor hun oren; 12Vergadert het volk, de mannen, en de vrouwen, en de kinderen, en uw vreemdelingen, die in uw poorten zijn; opdat zij horen, en opdat zij leren, en vrezen den HEERE, uw God, en waarnemen te doen alle woorden dezer wet. 13En dat hun kinderen, die het niet geweten hebben, horen en leren, om te vrezen den HEERE, uw God, al de dagen, die gij leeft op het land, naar hetwelk gij over de Jordaan zijt heengaande, om dat te erven. 14En de HEERE zeide tot Mozes: Zie, uw dagen zijn genaderd, om te sterven; roep Jozua, en stelt ulieden in de tent der samenkomst, dat Ik hem bevel geve. Zo ging Mozes, en Jozua, en zij stelden zich in de tent der samenkomst. 15Toen verscheen de HEERE in de tent, in de wolkkolom; en de wolkkolom stond boven de deur der tent. 16En de HEERE zeide tot Mozes: Zie, gij zult slapen met uw vaderen; en dit volk zal opstaan, en nahoereren de goden der vreemden van dat land, waar het naar toe gaat, in het midden van hetzelve; en het zal Mij verlaten en vernietigen Mijn verbond, dat Ik met hetzelve gemaakt heb. 17Zo zal Mijn toorn te dien dage tegen hetzelve ontsteken, en Ik zal hen verlaten, en Mijn aangezicht van hen verbergen, dat zij ter spijze zijn, en vele kwaden en benauwdheden zullen het treffen; dat het te dien dage zal zeggen: Hebben mij deze kwaden niet getroffen, omdat mijn God in het midden van mij niet is? 18Ik dan zal Mijn aangezicht te dien dage ganselijk verbergen, om al het kwaad, dat het gedaan heeft; want het heeft zich gewend tot andere goden. 19En nu, schrijft ulieden dit lied, en leert het den kinderen Israels; legt het in hun mond; opdat dit lied Mij ten getuige zij tegen de kinderen Israels. 20Want Ik zal dit volk inbrengen in het land, dat Ik zijn vaderen gezworen heb, vloeiende van melk en honig, en het zal eten, en verzadigd, en vet worden; dan zal het zich wenden tot andere goden, en hen dienen, en zij zullen Mij tergen, en Mijn verbond vernietigen. 21En het zal geschieden, wanneer vele kwaden en benauwdheden hetzelve zullen treffen, dan zal dit lied voor zijn aangezicht antwoorden tot getuige; want het zal uit den mond zijns zaads niet vergeten worden; dewijl Ik weet zijn gedichtsel dat het heden maakt, aleer Ik het inbreng in het land, dat Ik gezworen heb. 22Zo schreef Mozes dit lied te dien dage, en hij leerde het den kinderen Israels. 23En Hij gebood Jozua, den zoon van Nun, en zeide: Zijt sterk en heb goeden moed, want gij zult de kinderen Israels inbrengen in het land, dat Ik hun gezworen heb; en Ik zal met u zijn. 24En het geschiedde, als Mozes voleind had de woorden dezer wet te schrijven in een boek, totdat zij voltrokken waren; 25Zo gebood Mozes den Levieten, die de ark des verbonds des HEEREN droegen, zeggende: 26Neemt dit wetboek, en legt het aan de zijde van de ark des verbonds des HEEREN, uws Gods, dat het aldaar zij ten getuige tegen u. 27Want ik ken uw wederspannigheid, en uw harden nek. Ziet, terwijl ik nog heden met ulieden leve, zijt gij wederspannig geweest tegen den HEERE; hoe veel te meer na mijn dood! 28Vergadert tot mij al de oudsten uwer stammen, en uw ambtlieden; dat ik voor hun oren deze woorden spreke, en tegen hen den hemel en de aarde tot getuigen neme. 29Want ik weet, dat gij het na mijn dood zekerlijk zult verderven, en afwijken van den weg, dien ik u geboden heb; dan zal u dit kwaad in het laatste der dagen ontmoeten, wanneer gij zult gedaan hebben, dat kwaad is in de ogen des HEEREN, om Hem door het werk uwer handen tot toorn te verwekken. 30Toen sprak Mozes, voor de oren der ganse gemeente van Israel, de woorden dezes lieds, totdat zij voltrokken waren.
