Deuteronomio 11

1Kaya't iyong iibigin ang Panginoon mong Dios, at iyong susundin ang kaniyang bilin, at ang kaniyang mga palatuntunan, at ang kaniyang mga kahatulan, at ang kaniyang mga utos kailan man. 2At talastasin ninyo sa araw na ito: sapagka't hindi ko sinasalita sa inyong mga anak na hindi nangakakilala, at hindi nangakakita ng parusa ng Panginoon ninyong Dios ng kaniyang kadakilaan, ng kaniyang makapangyarihang kamay at ng kaniyang unat na bisig, 3At ng kaniyang mga tanda, at ng kaniyang mga gawa, na kaniyang ginawa sa gitna ng Egipto kay Faraon na hari sa Egipto, at sa kaniyang buong lupain; 4At ang kaniyang ginawa sa hukbo ng Egipto, sa kanilang mga kabayo, at sa kanilang mga karo; kung paanong tinakpan niya sila ng tubig ng Dagat na Mapula nang kanilang habulin kayo, at kung paanong nilipol sila ng Panginoon sa araw na ito; 5At kung ano ang kaniyang ginawa sa inyo sa ilang hanggang sa dumating kayo sa dakong ito; 6At kung ano ang kaniyang ginawa kay Dathan at kay Abiram, na mga anak ni Eliab, na anak ni Ruben; kung paanong ibinuka ng lupa ang kaniyang bibig, at nilamon sila, at ang kanilang mga sangbahayan, at ang kanilang mga tolda, at bawa't bagay na may buhay na sa kanila'y sumusunod sa gitna ng buong Israel: 7Nguni't nakita ng inyong mga mata ang lahat ng dakilang gawa ng Panginoon na kaniyang ginawa. 8Kaya't inyong susundin ang buong utos na aking iniuutos sa inyo sa araw na ito, upang kayo'y lumakas at kayo'y pumasok at ariin ninyo ang lupain, na inyong tatawirin upang ariin; 9At upang inyong maparami ang inyong mga araw sa ibabaw ng lupain na isinumpa ng Panginoon sa inyong mga magulang na ibibigay sa kanila at sa kanilang binhi na lupaing binubukalan ng gatas at pulot. 10Sapagka't ang lupain na iyong pinaroroonan upang ariin, ay hindi gaya ng lupain ng Egipto, na inyong pinanggalingan, na doo'y nagtatanim ka ng iyong binhi, at iyong dinidilig ng iyong paa, na parang taniman ng mga gulay; 11Kundi ang lupain, na inyong tatawirin upang ariin, ay lupaing maburol at malibis, at dinidilig ng tubig ng ulan sa langit: 12Lupaing inaalagaan ng Panginoon mong Dios, at ang mga mata ng Panginoon mong Dios ay nandoong lagi, mula sa pasimula ng taon hanggang sa katapusan ng taon. 13At mangyayari, na kung inyong didingging maigi ang aking mga utos na aking iniuutos sa inyo sa araw na ito, na ibigin ang Panginoon ninyong Dios at siya'y paglingkuran ng buo ninyong puso, at ang buo ninyong kaluluwa, 14Ay ibibigay ko ang ulan ng inyong lupain sa kaniyang kapanahunan, ang una at huling ulan upang iyong makamalig ang iyong trigo, at ang iyong alak, at ang iyong langis. 15At aking bibigyan ng damo ang iyong mga hayop sa iyong mga bukid, at ikaw ay kakain at mabubusog. 16Mangagingat kayo, baka ang inyong puso ay madaya, at kayo'y maligaw, at maglingkod sa ibang mga dios, at sumamba sa kanila; 17At ang galit ng Panginoon ay magalab laban sa inyo, at kaniyang sarhan ang langit, upang huwag magkaroon ng ulan, at ang lupa'y huwag magbigay ng kaniyang bunga; at kayo'y malipol na madali sa mabuting lupain na ibinibigay sa inyo ng Panginoon. 18Kaya't inyong ilalagak itong aking mga salita sa inyong puso, at sa inyong kaluluwa; at inyong itatali na pinakatanda sa inyong kamay at magiging pinakatali sa inyong noo. 19At inyong ituturo sa inyong mga anak, na inyong sasalitain sa kanila, pagka ikaw ay nauupo sa iyong bahay, at pagka ikaw ay lumalakad sa daan, at pagka ikaw ay nahihiga, at pagka ikaw ay bumabangon. 20At iyong isusulat sa itaas ng pintuan ng iyong bahay, at sa iyong mga pintuang-daan: 21Upang ang inyong mga araw ay dumami at ang mga araw ng inyong mga anak, sa lupain na isinumpa ng Panginoon sa inyong mga magulang na ibibigay sa kanila, gaya ng mga araw ng langit sa ibabaw ng lupa. 22Sapagka't kung inyong susunding masikap ang buong utos na ito na aking iniuutos sa inyo upang gawin, na ibigin ang Panginoon ninyong Dios, lumakad sa lahat ng kaniyang daan, at makilakip sa kaniya: 23Ay palalayasin nga ng Panginoon ang lahat ng mga bansang ito sa harap ninyo, at kayo'y magaari ng mga bansang lalong malaki at lalong makapangyarihan kay sa inyo. 24Bawa't dakong tutuntungan ng talampakan ng inyong paa ay magiging inyo: mula sa ilang, at sa Libano, mula sa ilog, sa ilog Eufrates, hanggang sa dagat kalunuran ay magiging inyong hangganan. 25Walang lalaking makatatayo sa harap ninyo: sisidlan ng Panginoon ninyong Dios ng takot sa inyo at ng sindak sa inyo sa ibabaw ng buong lupain na inyong tutuntungan, gaya ng kaniyang sinalita sa inyo. 26Narito, inilalagay ko sa harap ninyo sa araw na ito ang pagpapala at ang sumpa; 27Ang pagpapala, kung inyong didinggin ang mga utos ng Panginoon ninyong Dios, na aking iniutos sa inyo sa araw na ito; 28At ang sumpa, kung hindi ninyo didinggin ang mga utos ng Panginoon ninyong Dios, kundi kayo lilihis sa daan na aking iniuutos sa inyo sa araw na ito, upang sumunod sa ibang mga dios, na hindi ninyo nangakilala. 29At mangyayari, na pagka ikaw ay ipapasok ng Panginoon mong Dios sa lupain na iyong pinaroroonan upang ariin, na iyong ilalagay ang pagpapala sa bundok ng Gerizim, at ang sumpa sa bundok ng Ebal. 30Di ba sila'y nasa dako pa roon ng Jordan, sa dakong nilulubugan ng araw, sa lupain ng mga Cananeo na tumatahan sa Araba, sa tapat ng Gilgal na kasiping ng mga encina sa More? 31Sapagka't kayo'y tatawid sa Jordan upang inyong pasukin na ariin ang lupain na ibinibigay sa inyo ng Panginoon ninyong Dios, at inyong aariin, at tatahan kayo roon. 32At inyong isasagawa ang lahat ng mga palatuntunan at mga kahatulan na aking iginagawad sa inyo sa araw na ito.

1Therefore you shall love Yahweh your God, and keep his instructions, his statutes, his ordinances, and his commandments, always. 2Know this day: for I don’t speak with your children who have not known, and who have not seen the chastisement of Yahweh your God, his greatness, his mighty hand, his outstretched arm, 3his signs, and his works, which he did in the midst of Egypt to Pharaoh the king of Egypt, and to all his land; 4and what he did to the army of Egypt, to their horses, and to their chariots; how he made the water of the Red Sea to overflow them as they pursued after you, and how Yahweh has destroyed them to this day; 5and what he did to you in the wilderness, until you came to this place; 6and what he did to Dathan and Abiram, the sons of Eliab, the son of Reuben; how the earth opened its mouth, and swallowed them up, and their households, and their tents, and every living thing that followed them, in the midst of all Israel; 7but your eyes have seen all of Yahweh’s great work which he did. 8Therefore you shall keep all the commandment which I command you this day, that you may be strong, and go in and possess the land, where you go over to possess it; 9and that you may prolong your days in the land, which Yahweh swore to your fathers to give to them and to their seed, a land flowing with milk and honey. 10For the land, where you go in to possess it, isn’t as the land of Egypt, that you came out of, where you sowed your seed, and watered it with your foot, as a garden of herbs; 11but the land, where you go over to possess it, is a land of hills and valleys which drinks water from the rain of the sky, 12a land which Yahweh your God cares for. Yahweh your God’s eyes are always on it, from the beginning of the year even to the end of the year. 13It shall happen, if you shall listen diligently to my commandments which I command you this day, to love Yahweh your God, and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul, 14that I will give the rain of your land in its season, the former rain and the latter rain, that you may gather in your grain, your new wine, and your oil. 15I will give grass in your fields for your livestock, and you shall eat and be full. 16Be careful, lest your heart be deceived, and you turn aside, and serve other gods, and worship them; 17and Yahweh’s anger be kindled against you, and he shut up the sky, so that there is no rain, and the land doesn’t yield its fruit; and you perish quickly from off the good land which Yahweh gives you. 18Therefore you shall lay up these my words in your heart and in your soul. You shall bind them for a sign on your hand, and they shall be for frontlets between your eyes. 19You shall teach them your children, talking of them, when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise up. 20You shall write them on the door posts of your house, and on your gates; 21that your days may be multiplied, and the days of your children, in the land which Yahweh swore to your fathers to give them, as the days of the heavens above the earth. 22For if you shall diligently keep all these commandments which I command you, to do them, to love Yahweh your God, to walk in all his ways, and to cling to him; 23then will Yahweh drive out all these nations from before you, and you shall dispossess nations greater and mightier than yourselves. 24Every place whereon the sole of your foot treads shall be yours: from the wilderness, and Lebanon, from the river, the river Euphrates, even to the western sea shall be your border. 25No man will be able to stand before you. Yahweh your God will lay the fear of you and the dread of you on all the land that you tread on, as he has spoken to you. 26Behold, I set before you this day a blessing and a curse: 27the blessing, if you listen to the commandments of Yahweh your God, which I command you this day; 28and the curse, if you do not listen to the commandments of Yahweh your God, but turn aside out of the way which I command you this day, to go after other gods, which you have not known. 29It shall happen, when Yahweh your God brings you into the land where you go to possess it, that you shall set the blessing on Mount Gerizim, and the curse on Mount Ebal. 30Aren’t they beyond the Jordan, behind the way of the going down of the sun, in the land of the Canaanites who dwell in the Arabah, near Gilgal, beside the oaks of Moreh? 31For you are to pass over the Jordan to go in to possess the land which Yahweh your God gives you, and you shall possess it, and dwell therein. 32You shall observe to do all the statutes and the ordinances which I set before you this day.

1Daarom zult gij den HEERE, uw God, liefhebben, en gij zult te allen dage onderhouden Zijn bevel, en Zijn inzettingen, en Zijn rechten, en Zijn geboden. 2En gijlieden zult heden weten, dat ik niet spreek met uw kinderen, die het niet weten, en de onderwijzing des HEEREN, uws Gods, niet gezien hebben. Zijn grootheid, Zijn sterke hand en Zijn uitgestrekten arm; 3Daartoe Zijn tekenen en Zijn daden, die Hij in het midden van Egypte gedaan heeft, aan Farao, den koning van Egypte, en aan zijn ganse land; 4En wat Hij gedaan heeft aan het heir der Egyptenaren, aan deszelfs paarden en aan deszelfs wagenen; dat Hij de wateren van de Schelfzee boven hun aangezicht deed overzwemmen, als zij ulieden van achteren vervolgden; en de HEERE verdeed hen, tot op dezen dag. 5En wat Hij ulieden gedaan heeft in de woestijn, totdat gij gekomen zijt aan deze plaats. 6Daarboven, wat Hij gedaan heeft aan Dathan, en aan Abiram, zonen van Eliab, den zoon van Ruben; hoe de aarde haar mond opendeed, en hen verslond met hun huisgezinnen, en hun tenten, ja, al wat bestond, dat hun aanging, in het midden van gans Israel. 7Want het zijn uw ogen, die gezien hebben al dit grote werk des HEEREN, dat Hij gedaan heeft. 8Houdt dan alle geboden, die ik u heden gebiede; opdat gij gesterkt wordt en inkomt, en erft het land, waarheen gij overtrekt, om dat te erven; 9En opdat gij de dagen verlengt in het land, dat de HEERE uw vaderen gezworen heeft, aan hen en aan hun zaad te geven; een land, vloeiende van melk en honig. 10Want het land, waar gij naar toe gaat, om dat te erven, is niet als Egypteland, van waar gij uitgegaan zijt, hetwelk gij bezaaidet met uw zaad, en bewaterdet met uw gang, als een kruidhof. 11Maar het land, waarheen gij overtrekt, om dat te erven, is een land van bergen en van dalen; het drinkt water bij den regen des hemels; 12Een land, dat de HEERE, uw God, bezorgt; de ogen des HEEREN, uws Gods, zijn gedurig daarop, van het begin des jaars tot het einde des jaars. 13En het zal geschieden, zo gij naarstiglijk zult horen naar Mijn geboden, die Ik u heden gebiede, om den HEERE, uw God, lief te hebben, en Hem te dienen, met uw ganse hart en met uw ganse ziel; 14Zo zal Ik den regen uws lands geven te Zijner tijd, vroegen regen en spaden regen, opdat gij uw koren, en uw most, en uw olie inzamelt. 15En Ik zal kruid geven op uw veld voor uw beesten; en gij zult eten en verzadigd worden. 16Wacht uzelven, dat ulieder hart niet verleid worde, dat gij afwijkt, en andere goden dient, en u voor die buigt; 17Dat de toorn des HEEREN tegen ulieden ontsteke, en Hij den hemel toesluite, dat er geen regen zij, en het aardrijk zijn gewas niet geve; en gij haastelijk omkomt van het goede land, dat u de HEERE geeft. 18Legt dan deze mijn woorden in uw hart, en in uw ziel, en bindt ze tot een teken op uw hand, dat zij tot voorhoofdspanselen zijn tussen uw ogen; 19En leert die uw kinderen, sprekende daarvan, als gij in uw huis zit, en als gij op den weg gaat, en als gij nederligt, en als gij opstaat; 20En schrijft ze op de posten van uw huis, en aan uw poorten; 21Opdat uw dagen, en de dagen uwer kinderen, in het land, dat de HEERE uw vaderen gezworen heeft hun te geven, vermenigvuldigen, gelijk de dagen des hemels op de aarde. 22Want zo gij naarstiglijk houdt al deze geboden, die ik u gebiede om die te doen, den HEERE, uw God, liefhebbende, wandelende in al Zijn wegen, en Hem aanhangende; 23Zo zal de HEERE al deze volken voor uw aangezicht uit de bezitting verdrijven, en gij zult erfelijk bezitten groter en machtiger volken, dan gij zijt. 24Alle plaats, waar uw voetzool op treedt, zal de uwe zijn; van de woestijn en den Libanon, van de rivier, de rivier Frath, tot aan de achterste zee, zal uw landpale zijn. 25Niemand zal voor uw aangezicht bestaan; de HEERE, uw God, zal uw schrik en uw vreze geven over al het land, waarop gij treden zult, gelijk als Hij tot u gesproken heeft. 26Ziet, ik stel ulieden heden voor, zegen en vloek: 27Den zegen, wanneer gij horen zult naar de geboden des HEEREN, uws Gods, die ik u heden gebiede; 28Maar den vloek, zo gij niet horen zult naar de geboden des HEEREN, uws Gods, en afwijkt van den weg, dien ik u heden gebiede, om andere goden na te wandelen, die gij niet gekend hebt. 29En het zal geschieden, als u de HEERE, uw God, zal hebben ingebracht in het land, waar gij naar toe gaat, om dat te erven; dan zult gij den zegen uitspreken op den berg Gerizim, en den vloek op den berg Ebal. 30Zijn zij niet aan gene zijde van de Jordaan, achter den weg van den ondergang der zon, in het land der Kanaanieten, die in het vlakke veld wonen, tegenover Gilgal, bij de eikenbossen van More? 31Want gijlieden zult over de Jordaan gaan, dat gij inkomet om te erven dat land, dat de HEERE, uw God, u geven zal; en gij zult het erfelijk bezitten, en daarin wonen. 32Neemt dan waar te doen al de inzettingen en de rechten, die ik u heden voorstel.
