Amos 4

1Dinggin ninyo ang salitang ito, Oh mga baka ng Basan, na nangasa bundok ng Samaria, na nagsisipighati sa mga dukha, na nagsisigipit sa mga mapagkailangan, na nangagsasabi sa kanilang mga panginoon, Dalhin ninyo rito, at ating inumin. 2Ang Panginoong Dios ay sumumpa sa pamamagitan ng kaniyang kabanalan, na, narito, ang mga kaarawan ay darating sa inyo, na kanilang huhulihin kayo ng mga taga ng bingwit, at ang nalabi sa inyo ay ng mga pamingwit. 3At kayo'y magsisilabas sa mga sira, na bawa't isa'y tuloytuloy; at kayo'y mangagpapakatapon sa Harmon, sabi ng Panginoon. 4Magsiparoon kayo sa Beth-el, at magsisalangsang kayo; sa Gilgal, at paramihin ninyo ang pagsalangsang; at inyong dalhin ang inyong mga hain tuwing umaga, at ang inyong mga ikasangpung bahagi tuwing tatlong araw; 5At kayo'y mangaghandog ng hain ng pasasalamat na may lebadura, at kayo'y mangaghayag ng kusang mga handog at inyong itanyag; sapagka't ito'y nakalulugod sa inyo, Oh ninyong mga anak ni Israel, sabi ng Panginoong Dios. 6At binigyan ko naman kayo ng kalinisan ng mga ngipin sa lahat ninyong mga bayan, at kakulangan ng tinapay sa lahat ninyong mga dako; gayon ma'y hindi kayo nanganumbalik sa akin, sabi ng Panginoon. 7At akin namang pinigil ang ulan sa inyo, nang tatlong buwan na lamang at pagaani na; at aking pinaulan sa isang bayan, at hindi ko pinaulan sa kabilang bayan: isang bahagi ay inulanan, at ang bahagi na hindi inulanan ay natuyo. 8Sa gayo'y dalawa o tatlong bayan ay nagsigala sa isang bayan upang magsiinom ng tubig, at hindi nangapawi ang uhaw: gayon ma'y hindi kayo nanganumbalik sa akin, sabi ng Panginoon. 9Aking sinalot kayo ng pagkalanta at ng amag: ang karamihan ng inyong mga halaman, at ng inyong mga ubasan, at ng inyong mga igusan, at ng inyong mga olibohan ay nilipol ng tipaklong: gayon ma'y hindi kayo nanganumbalik sa akin, sabi ng Panginoon. 10Aking pinarating sa gitna ninyo ang salot na gaya ng sa Egipto: ang inyong mga binata ay pinatay ko ng tabak, at dinala ko ang inyong mga kabayo; at aking pinaalingasaw ang baho ng inyong kampamento hanggang sa inyong mga butas ng ilong; gayon ma'y hindi kayo nanganumbalik sa akin, sabi ng Panginoon. 11Aking ibinuwal ang iba sa inyo, gaya nang ibuwal ng Dios ang Sodoma at Gomorra, at kayo'y naging gaya ng dupong na naagaw sa apoy: gayon ma'y hindi kayo nanganumbalik sa akin, sabi ng Panginoon. 12Kaya't ganito ang gagawin ko sa iyo, Oh Israel; at yamang aking gagawin ito sa iyo, humanda kang salubungin mo ang iyong Dios, Oh Israel. 13Sapagka't, narito, siyang nagaanyo ng mga bundok, at lumilikha ng hangin, at nagpapahayag sa tao kung ano ang kaniyang pagiisip; na nagpapadilim ng umaga, at yumayapak sa mga mataas na dako ng lupa, ang Panginoon, ang Dios ng mga hukbo ay siya niyang pangalan.

1Listen to this word, you cows of Bashan, who are on the mountain of Samaria, who oppress the poor, who crush the needy, who tell their husbands, “Bring us drinks!” 2The Lord Yahweh has sworn by his holiness that behold, “The days shall come on you that they will take you away with hooks, and the last of you with fish hooks. 3You will go out at the breaks in the wall, everyone straight before her; and you will cast yourselves into Harmon,” says Yahweh. 4“Go to Bethel, and sin; to Gilgal, and sin more. Bring your sacrifices every morning, your tithes every three days, 5offer a sacrifice of thanksgiving of that which is leavened, and proclaim free will offerings and brag about them: for this pleases you, you children of Israel,” says the Lord Yahweh. 6“I also have given you cleanness of teeth in all your cities, and lack of bread in every town; yet you haven’t returned to me,” says Yahweh. 7“I also have withheld the rain from you, when there were yet three months to the harvest; and I caused it to rain on one city, and caused it not to rain on another city. One place was rained on, and the piece where it didn’t rain withered. 8So two or three cities staggered to one city to drink water, and were not satisfied: yet you haven’t returned to me,” says Yahweh. 9“I struck you with blight and mildew many times in your gardens and your vineyards; and your fig trees and your olive trees have the swarming locust devoured: yet you haven’t returned to me,” says Yahweh. 10“I sent plagues among you like I did Egypt. I have slain your young men with the sword, and have carried away your horses; and I filled your nostrils with the stench of your camp, yet you haven’t returned to me,” says Yahweh. 11“I have overthrown some of you, as when God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah, and you were like a burning stick plucked out of the fire; yet you haven’t returned to me,” says Yahweh. 12“Therefore thus will I do to you, Israel; because I will do this to you, prepare to meet your God, Israel. 13For, behold, he who forms the mountains, and creates the wind, and declares to man what is his thought; who makes the morning darkness, and treads on the high places of the earth: Yahweh, the God of Armies, is his name.”

1Hoort dit woord, gij koeien van Basan! gij, die op den berg van Samaria zijt, die de armen verdrukt, die de nooddruftigen verplettert; gij, die tot hunlieder heren zegt: Brengt aan, opdat wij drinken. 2De Heere HEERE heeft gezworen bij Zijn heiligheid, dat er, ziet, dagen over ulieden zullen komen, dat men u zal optrekken met haken, en uw nakomelingen met visangelen. 3En gij zult door de bressen uitgaan, een ieder voor zich henen; en gij zult, hetgeen in het paleis gebracht is, wegwerpen, spreekt de HEERE. 4Komt te Beth-El, en overtreedt te Gilgal; maakt des overtredens veel, en brengt uw offers des morgens, uw tienden om de drie dagen! 5En rookt van het gedesemde een lofoffer, en roept vrijwillige offers uit, doet het horen; want alzo hebt gij het gaarne, gij kinderen Israels! spreekt de Heere HEERE. 6Daarom heb Ik ulieden ook reinheid der tanden gegeven in al uw steden, en gebrek van brood in al uw plaatsen; nochtans hebt gij u niet bekeerd tot Mij, spreekt de HEERE. 7Daartoe heb Ik ook den regen van ulieden geweerd, als er nog drie maanden waren tot den oogst, en heb doen regenen over de ene stad, maar over de andere stad niet doen regenen; het ene stuk lands werd beregend, maar het andere stuk lands, waar het niet op regende, verdorde. 8En twee, drie steden togen om tot een stad, opdat zij water mochten drinken, maar werden niet verzadigd; nochtans hebt gij u niet bekeerd tot Mij, spreekt de HEERE. 9Ik heb ulieden geslagen met brandkoren en met honigdauw; de veelheid uwer hoven, en uwer wijngaarden, en uwer vijgebomen, en uwer olijfbomen at de rups op; nochtans hebt gij u niet bekeerd tot Mij, spreekt de HEERE. 10Ik heb de pestilentie onder ulieden gezonden, naar de wijze van Egypte; Ik heb uw jongelingen door het zwaard gedood, en uw paarden gevankelijk laten wegvoeren; en Ik heb den stank uwer heirlegeren zelfs in uw neus doen opgaan; nochtans hebt gij u niet bekeerd tot Mij, spreekt de HEERE. 11Ik heb sommigen onder ulieden omgekeerd, gelijk God Sodom en Gomorra omkeerde, u, die waart als een vuurbrand, dat uit den brand gered is; nochtans hebt gij u niet bekeerd tot Mij, spreekt de HEERE. 12Daarom zal Ik u alzo doen, o Israel! omdat Ik u dan dit doen zal, zo schik u, o Israel! om uw God te ontmoeten. 13Want zie, Die de bergen formeert, en den wind schept, en den mens bekend maakt, wat zijn gedachte zij, Die den dageraad duisternis maakt, en op de hoogten der aarde treedt, HEERE, God der heirscharen, is Zijn Naam.
