Amos 2

1Ganito ang sabi ng Panginoon: Dahil sa tatlong pagsalangsang ng Moab, oo, dahil sa apat, hindi ko ihihiwalay ang kaparusahan sa kaniya; sapagka't kaniyang sinunog ang mga buto ng hari sa Edom na pinapaging apog. 2Nguni't ako'y magsusugo ng isang apoy sa Moab, at susupukin niyaon ang mga palacio ng Cherioth; at ang Moab ay mamamatay na may kaingay, may hiyawan, at may tunog ng pakakak. 3At aking ihihiwalay ang hukom sa gitna niyaon, at papatayin ko ang lahat na prinsipe niyaon na kasama niya, sabi ng Panginoon. 4Ganito ang sabi ng Panginoon: Dahil sa tatlong pagsalangsang ng Juda, oo, dahil sa apat, hindi ko ihihiwalay ang kaparusahan sa kaniya; sapagka't kanilang itinakuwil ang kautusan ng Panginoon, at hindi iningatan ang kaniyang mga palatuntunan, at iniligaw sila ng kanilang mga pagbubulaan, ayon sa inilakad ng kanilang mga magulang. 5Nguni't magsusugo ako ng isang apoy sa Juda; at susupukin niyaon ang mga palacio ng Jerusalem. 6Ganito ang sabi ng Panginoon, Dahil sa tatlong pagsalangsang ng Israel, oo, dahil sa apat, hindi ko ihihiwalay ang kaparusahan sa kaniya; sapagka't kanilang ipinagbili ang matuwid dahil sa pilak, at ang mapagkailangan sa dalawang paang panyapak; 7Na iniimbot ang alabok sa lupa na nasa ulo ng dukha, at inililiko ang lakad ng maamo: at ang magama ay sumisiping sa isang dalaga, upang lapastanganin ang aking banal na pangalan: 8At sila'y nangahihiga sa tabi ng lahat na dambana, sa ibabaw ng mga kasuutang sangla; at sa bahay ng kanilang Dios ay nagsisiinom ng alak ng mga multa. 9Gayon ma'y nililipol ko ang Amorrheo sa harap nila, na ang taas ay gaya ng taas ng mga cedro, at siya'y malakas na gaya ng mga encina; gayon ma'y nilipol ko ang kaniyang bunga sa itaas, at ang kaniyang mga ugat sa ilalim. 10Iniahon ko rin kayo sa lupain ng Egipto, at pinatnubayan ko kayong apat na pung taon sa ilang, upang ariin ninyo ang lupain ng Amorrheo. 11At nagbangon ako sa inyong mga anak ng mga propeta, at sa inyong mga binata ng mga Nazareo. Di baga gayon, Oh kayong mga anak ng Israel? sabi ng Panginoon. 12Nguni't binigyan ninyo ang mga Nazareo ng alak na maiinom, at inutusan ninyo ang mga propeta, na sinasabi, Huwag kayong manganghuhula. 13Narito, aking huhutukin kayo sa inyong dako, na gaya ng isang karong nahuhutok na puno ng mga bigkis. 14At ang pagtakas ay mapapawi sa matulin; at ang malakas ay hindi makaaasa sa kaniyang kalakasan; ni ang makapangyarihan man ay makapagliligtas sa sarili; 15Ni makatitindig man siyang humahawak ng busog; at siyang matulin sa paa ay hindi makaliligtas; ni siya mang nakasakay sa kabayo ay makaliligtas: 16At siya na matapang sa mga makapangyarihan ay tatakas na hubad sa araw na yaon, sabi ng Panginoon.

1Thus says Yahweh: “For three transgressions of Moab, yes, for four, I will not turn away its punishment; because he burned the bones of the king of Edom into lime; 2but I will send a fire on Moab, and it will devour the palaces of Kerioth; and Moab will die with tumult, with shouting, and with the sound of the trumpet; 3and I will cut off the judge from their midst, and will kill all its princes with him,” says Yahweh. 4Thus says Yahweh: “For three transgressions of Judah, yes, for four, I will not turn away its punishment; because they have rejected Yahweh’s law, and have not kept his statutes, and their lies have led them astray, after which their fathers walked; 5But I will send a fire on Judah, and it will devour the palaces of Jerusalem.” 6Thus says Yahweh: “For three transgressions of Israel, yes, for four, I will not turn away its punishment; because they have sold the righteous for silver, and the needy for a pair of shoes; 7They trample on the dust of the earth on the head of the poor, and deny justice to the oppressed; and a man and his father use the same maiden, to profane my holy name; 8and they lay themselves down beside every altar on clothes taken in pledge; and in the house of their God they drink the wine of those who have been fined. 9Yet I destroyed the Amorite before them, whose height was like the height of the cedars, and he was strong as the oaks; yet I destroyed his fruit from above, and his roots from beneath. 10Also I brought you up out of the land of Egypt, and led you forty years in the wilderness, to possess the land of the Amorite. 11I raised up some of your sons for prophets, and some of your young men for Nazirites. Isn’t this true, you children of Israel?” says Yahweh. 12“But you gave the Nazirites wine to drink, and commanded the prophets, saying, ‘Don’t prophesy!’ 13Behold, I will crush you in your place, as a cart crushes that is full of grain. 14Flight will perish from the swift; and the strong won’t strengthen his force; neither shall the mighty deliver himself; 15neither shall he stand who handles the bow; and he who is swift of foot won’t escape; neither shall he who rides the horse deliver himself; 16and he who is courageous among the mighty will flee away naked on that day,” says Yahweh.

1Alzo zegt de HEERE: Om drie overtredingen van Moab, en om vier zal Ik dat niet afwenden; omdat hij de beenderen des konings van Edom tot kalk verbrand heeft. 2Daarom zal Ik een vuur in Moab zenden, dat zal de paleizen van Kerioth verteren; en Moab zal sterven met groot gedruis, met gejuich, met geluid der bazuin. 3En Ik zal den rechter uit het midden van haar uitroeien; en al haar vorsten zal Ik met hem doden, zegt de HEERE. 4Alzo zegt de HEERE: Om drie overtredingen van Juda, en om vier zal Ik dat niet afwenden; omdat zij de wet des HEEREN verworpen, en Zijn inzettingen niet bewaard hebben; en hun leugenen hen verleid hebben, die hun vaders hebben nagewandeld. 5Daarom zal Ik een vuur in Juda zenden, dat zal Jeruzalems paleizen verteren. 6Alzo zegt de HEERE: Om drie overtredingen van Israel, en om vier zal Ik dat niet afwenden; omdat zij den rechtvaardige voor geld verkopen, en den nooddruftige om een paar schoenen. 7Die er naar hijgen, dat het stof der aarde op het hoofd der armen zij, en den weg der zachtmoedigen verkeren; en de man en zijn vader gaan tot een jonge dochter om Mijn heiligen Naam te ontheiligen. 8En zij leggen zich neder bij elk altaar op de verpande klederen, en drinken den wijn der geboeten in het huis van hun goden. 9Ik daarentegen heb den Amoriet voor hunlieder aangezicht verdelgd, wiens hoogte was als de hoogte der cederen, en hij was sterk als de eiken; maar Ik heb zijn vrucht van boven, en zijn wortelen van onderen verdelgd. 10Ook heb Ik ulieden uit Egypteland opgevoerd; en Ik heb u veertig jaren in de woestijn geleid, opdat gij het land van den Amoriet erfelijk bezat. 11En Ik heb sommigen uit uw zonen tot profeten verwekt, en uit uw jongelingen tot Nazireen; is dit niet alzo, gij kinderen Israels? spreekt de HEERE. 12Maar gijlieden hebt aan de Nazireen wijn te drinken gegeven, en gij hebt den profeten geboden zeggende: Gij zult niet profeteren. 13Ziet, Ik zal uw plaatsen drukken, gelijk als een wagen drukt, die vol garven is. 14Zodat de snelle niet zal ontvlieden, en de sterke zijn kracht niet verkloeken, en een held zal zijn ziel niet bevrijden. 15En die den boog handelt, zal niet bestaan, en die licht is op zijn voeten, zal zich niet bevrijden; ook zal, die te paard rijdt, zijn ziel niet bevrijden. 16En de kloekhartigste onder de helden zal te dien dage naakt heenvlieden, spreekt de HEERE.
