1Ma avverrà, negli ultimi tempi, che il monte della casa dell’Eterno si ergerà sopra la sommità de’ monti, e s’innalzerà al disopra delle colline, e i popoli affluiranno ad esso. 2Verranno delle nazioni in gran numero e diranno: "Venite, saliamo al monte dell’Eterno e alla casa dell’Iddio di Giacobbe; egli c’insegnerà le sue vie, e noi cammineremo nei suoi sentieri!" Poiché da Sion uscirà la legge, e da Gerusalemme la parola dell’Eterno. 3Egli sarà giudice fra molti popoli, e sederà come arbitro fra nazioni potenti e lontane. Delle loro spade fabbricheranno vomeri, delle loro lance, roncole; una nazione non leverà più la spada contro l’altra, e non impareranno più la guerra. 4Sederanno ciascuno sotto la sua vigna e sotto il suo fico senza che alcuno li spaventi; poiché la bocca dell’Eterno degli eserciti ha parlato. 5Mentre tutti i popoli camminano ciascuno nel nome del suo dio, noi cammineremo nel nome dell’Eterno, del nostro Dio, in perpetuo. 6In quel giorno, dice l’Eterno, io raccoglierò le pecore zoppe, radunerò quelle ch’erano state scacciate, e quelle ch’io avevo trattato duramente. 7Di quelle che zoppicano farò un resto, che sussisterà; di quelle scacciate lontano una nazione potente; e l’Eterno regnerà su loro sul monte Sion, da allora in perpetuo. 8E tu, torre del gregge, colle della figliuola di Sion, a te verrà, a te verrà l’antico dominio, il regno che spetta alla figliuola di Gerusalemme. 9Ora, perché gridi tu così forte? Non v’è egli alcun re dentro di te? Il tuo consigliere è egli perito che l’angoscia ti colga come di donna che partorisce? 10Soffri e gemi, o figliuola di Sion, come donna che partorisce! Poiché ora uscirai dalla città, dimorerai per i campi, e andrai fino a Babilonia. Là tu sarai liberata, là l’Eterno ti riscatterà dalla mano dei tuoi nemici. 11Ora molte nazioni si son radunate contro di te, le quali dicono: "Sia profanata! e i nostri si pascan della vista di Sion!" 12Ma esse non conoscono i pensieri dell’Eterno, non intendono i suoi disegni: poich’egli le raduna come mannelle sull’aia. 13Figliuola di Sion, lèvati, trebbia! perché io farò che sia di ferro il tuo corno, che le tue unghie sian di rame; e tu triterai molti popoli; e consacrerò come interdetto i loro guadagni all’Eterno, e le loro ricchezze al Signore di tutta la terra.
1But in the latter days, it will happen that the mountain of Yahweh’s temple will be established on the top of the mountains, and it will be exalted above the hills; and peoples will stream to it. 2Many nations will go and say, “Come, and let us go up to the mountain of Yahweh, and to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths.” For the law will go out of Zion, and Yahweh’s word from Jerusalem; 3and he will judge between many peoples, and will decide concerning strong nations afar off. They will beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks. Nation will not lift up sword against nation, neither will they learn war any more. 4But they will sit every man under his vine and under his fig tree; and no one will make them afraid: For the mouth of Yahweh of Armies has spoken. 5Indeed all the nations may walk in the name of their gods; but we will walk in the name of Yahweh our God forever and ever. 6“In that day,” says Yahweh, “I will assemble that which is lame, and I will gather that which is driven away, and that which I have afflicted; 7and I will make that which was lame a remnant, and that which was cast far off a strong nation: and Yahweh will reign over them on Mount Zion from then on, even forever.” 8You, tower of the flock, the hill of the daughter of Zion, to you it will come, yes, the former dominion will come, the kingdom of the daughter of Jerusalem. 9Now why do you cry out aloud? Is there no king in you? Has your counselor perished, that pains have taken hold of you as of a woman in travail? 10Be in pain, and labor to give birth, daughter of Zion, like a woman in travail; for now you will go out of the city, and will dwell in the field, and will come even to Babylon. There you will be rescued. There Yahweh will redeem you from the hand of your enemies. 11Now many nations have assembled against you, that say, “Let her be defiled, and let our eye gloat over Zion.” 12But they don’t know the thoughts of Yahweh, neither do they understand his counsel; for he has gathered them like the sheaves to the threshing floor. 13Arise and thresh, daughter of Zion; for I will make your horn iron, and I will make your hoofs brass; and you will beat in pieces many peoples: and I will devote their gain to Yahweh, and their substance to the Lord of the whole earth.
1Maar in het laatste der dagen zal het geschieden, dat de berg van het huis des HEEREN zal vastgesteld zijn op den top der bergen; en hij zal verheven zijn boven de heuvelen, en de volken zullen tot hem toevloeien. 2En vele heidenen zullen henengaan, en zeggen: Komt en laat ons opgaan tot den berg des HEEREN, en ten huize van den God Jakobs, opdat Hij ons lere van Zijn wegen, en wij in Zijn paden wandelen; want uit Sion zal de wet uitgaan, en des HEEREN woord uit Jeruzalem. 3En Hij zal onder grote volken richten, en machtige heidenen straffen, tot verre toe; en zij zullen hun zwaarden slaan tot spaden, en hun spiesen tot sikkelen; het ene volk zal tegen het andere volk geen zwaard opheffen, en zij zullen den krijg niet meer leren. 4Maar zij zullen zitten, een ieder onder zijn wijnstok, en onder zijn vijgeboom, en er zal niemand zijn, die ze verschrikke; want de mond des HEEREN der heirscharen heeft het gesproken. 5Want alle volken zullen wandelen, elk in den naam zijns gods; maar wij zullen wandelen in den Naam des HEEREN, onzes Gods, eeuwiglijk en altoos. 6Te dien dage, spreekt de HEERE, zal Ik haar, die hinkende was, verzamelen, en haar, die verdreven was, vergaderen, en die Ik geplaagd had. 7En Ik zal haar, die hinkende was, maken tot een overblijfsel, en haar die verre henen verstoten was, tot een machtig volk; en de HEERE zal Koning over hen zijn op den berg Sions, van nu aan tot in eeuwigheid. 8En gij Schaapstoren, gij Ofel der dochter Sions! tot u zal komen, ja, daar zal komen de vorige heerschappij, het koninkrijk der dochteren van Jeruzalem. 9Nu, waarom zoudt gij zo groot geschrei maken? Is er geen Koning onder u? Is uw Raadgever vergaan, dat u smart, als van een barende vrouw, heeft aangegrepen? 10Lijd smart en arbeid om voort te brengen, o dochter Sions! als een barende vrouw; want nu zult gij wel uit de stad henen uitgaan, en op het veld wonen, en tot in Babel komen, maar aldaar zult gij gered worden; aldaar zal u de HEERE verlossen uit de hand uwer vijanden. 11Nu zijn wel vele heidenen tegen u verzameld, die daar zeggen: Laat ze ontheiligd worden, en laat ons oog schouwen aan Sion. 12Maar zij weten de gedachten des HEEREN niet, en verstaan Zijn raadslag niet; dat Hij hen vergaderd heeft als garven tot den dorsvloer. 13Maak u op en dors, o dochter Sions! Want Ik zal uw hoorn ijzer maken, en uw klauwen koper maken, en gij zult vele volken verpletteren; en Ik zal hunlieder gewin den HEERE verbannen, en hun vermogen den Heere der ganse aarde.
