Zacharie 10

1Demandez à l’Éternel la pluie, la pluie du printemps ! L’Éternel produira des éclairs, Et il vous enverra une abondante pluie, Il donnera à chacun de l’herbe dans son champ. 2Car les théraphim ont des paroles de néant, Les devins prophétisent des faussetés, Les songes mentent et consolent par la vanité. C’est pourquoi ils sont errants comme un troupeau, Ils sont malheureux parce qu’il n’y a point de pasteur. 3Ma colère s’est enflammée contre les pasteurs, Et je châtierai les boucs ; Car l’Éternel des armées visite son troupeau, la maison de Juda, Et il en fera comme son cheval de gloire dans la bataille ; 4De lui sortira l’angle, de lui le clou, de lui l’arc de guerre ; De lui sortiront tous les chefs ensemble. 5Ils seront comme des héros foulant dans la bataille la boue des rues ; Ils combattront, parce que l’Éternel sera avec eux ; Et ceux qui seront montés sur des chevaux seront couverts de honte. 6Je fortifierai la maison de Juda, Et je délivrerai la maison de Joseph ; Je les ramènerai, car j’ai compassion d’eux, Et ils seront comme si je ne les avais pas rejetés ; Car je suis l’Éternel, leur Dieu, et je les exaucerai. 7Éphraïm sera comme un héros ; Leur cœur aura la joie que donne le vin ; Leurs fils le verront et seront dans l’allégresse, Leur cœur se réjouira en l’Éternel. 8Je les sifflerai et les rassemblerai, car je les rachète, Et ils multiplieront comme ils multipliaient. 9Je les disperserai parmi les peuples, Et au loin ils se souviendront de moi ; Ils vivront avec leurs enfants, et ils reviendront. 10Je les ramènerai du pays d’Égypte, Et je les rassemblerai de l’Assyrie ; Je les ferai venir au pays de Galaad et au Liban, Et l’espace ne leur suffira pas. 11Il passera la mer de détresse, il frappera les flots de la mer, Et toutes les profondeurs du fleuve seront desséchées ; L’orgueil de l’Assyrie sera abattu, Et le sceptre de l’Égypte disparaîtra. 12Je les fortifierai par l’Éternel, Et ils marcheront en son nom, Dit l’Éternel.

They comfort in vain. Therefore they go their way like sheep. They are oppressed, because there is no shepherd. 3My anger is kindled against the shepherds, and I will punish the male goats; For Yahweh of Armies has visited his flock, the house of Judah, and will make them as his majestic horse in the battle. 4From him will come the cornerstone, from him the nail, from him the battle bow, from him every ruler together. 5They shall be as mighty men, treading down muddy streets in the battle; and they shall fight, because Yahweh is with them; and the riders on horses will be confounded. 6“I will strengthen the house of Judah, and I will save the house of Joseph, and I will bring them back; for I have mercy on them; and they will be as though I had not cast them off: for I am Yahweh their God, and I will hear them. 7Ephraim will be like a mighty man, and their heart will rejoice as through wine; yes, their children will see it, and rejoice. Their heart will be glad in Yahweh. 8I will signal for them, and gather them; for I have redeemed them; and they will increase as they have increased. 9I will sow them among the peoples; and they will remember me in far countries; and they will live with their children, and will return. 10I will bring them again also out of the land of Egypt, and gather them out of Assyria; and I will bring them into the land of Gilead and Lebanon; and there won’t be room enough for them. 11He will pass through the sea of affliction, and will strike the waves in the sea, and all the depths of the Nile will dry up; and the pride of Assyria will be brought down, and the scepter of Egypt will depart. 12I will strengthen them in Yahweh; and they will walk up and down in his name,” says Yahweh.

1Begeert van den HEERE regen, ten tijde des spaden regens; de HEERE maakt de weerlichten; en Hij zal hun regen genoeg geven voor ieder kruid op het veld. 2Want de terafim spreken ijdelheid, en de waarzeggers zien valsheid, en zij spreken ijdele dromen, zij troosten met ijdelheid; daarom zijn zij henengetogen als schapen, zij zijn onderdrukt geworden; want er was geen herder. 3Tegen de herders was Mijn toorn ontstoken, en over de bokken heb Ik bezoeking gedaan; maar de HEERE der heirscharen zal Zijn kudde bezoeken, het huis van Juda, en Hij zal hen stellen, gelijk het paard Zijner majesteit in den strijd. 4Van hetzelve zal de hoeksteen, van hetzelve zal de nagel, van hetzelve zal de strijdboog, te zamen zullen van hetzelve alle drijvers voortkomen. 5En zij zullen zijn als de helden, die in het slijk der straten treden in den strijd, en zij zullen strijden; want de HEERE zal met hen wezen; en zij zullen die beschamen, die op paarden rijden. 6En Ik zal het huis van Juda versterken, en het huis van Jozef zal Ik behouden, en Ik zal hen weder inzetten; want Ik heb Mij hunner ontfermd, en zij zullen wezen, alsof Ik hen niet verstoten had; want Ik ben de HEERE, hun God, en Ik zal ze verhoren. 7En zij zullen zijn als een held van Efraim, en hun hart zal zich verblijden, als van den wijn; en hun kinderen zullen het zien, en zich verblijden, hun hart zal zich verheugen in den HEERE. 8Ik zal hen toesissen, en zal ze vergaderen, want Ik zal ze verlossen; en zij zullen vermenigvuldigd worden, gelijk zij te voren vermenigvuldigd waren. 9En Ik zal hen onder de volken zaaien, en zij zullen Mijner gedenken in verre plaatsen; en zij zullen leven met hun kinderen, en wederkeren. 10Want Ik zal ze wederbrengen uit Egypteland, en Ik zal ze vergaderen uit Assyrie; en Ik zal ze in het land van Gilead en Libanon brengen, maar het zal hun niet genoeg wezen. 11En Hij zal door de zee gaan, die benauwende, en Hij zal de golven in de zee slaan, en al de diepten der rivieren zullen verdrogen; dan zal de hoogmoed van Assur nedergeworpen worden, en de schepter van Egypte zal wegwijken. 12En Ik zal hen sterken in den HEERE, en in Zijn Naam zullen zij wandelen, spreekt de HEERE.
