1Εν τω δεκάτω έτει τω δεκάτω μηνί, τη δωδεκάτη του μηνός, έγεινε λόγος Κυρίου προς εμέ, λέγων, 2Υιέ ανθρώπου, στήριξον το πρόσωπόν σου επί Φαραώ τον βασιλέα της Αιγύπτου και προφήτευσον κατ' αυτού και καθ' όλης της Αιγύπτου· 3λάλησον και ειπέ, Ούτω λέγει Κύριος ο Θεός· Ιδού, εγώ είμαι εναντίον σου, Φαραώ βασιλεύ Αιγύπτου, μεγάλε δράκων, κοιτόμενε εν μέσω των ποταμών αυτού· όστις είπας, Ο ποταμός μου είναι εμού και εγώ έκαμον αυτόν δι' εμαυτόν. 4Και θέλω βάλει άγκιστρα εις τας σιαγόνας σου, και θέλω προσκολλήσει τους ιχθύας του ποταμού σου εις τα λέπη σου, και θέλω σε ανασύρει εκ μέσου των ποταμών σου· και πάντες οι ιχθύες των ποταμών σου θέλουσι προσκολληθή εις τα λέπη σου. 5Και θέλω σε εκρίψει εν τη ερήμω, σε και πάντας τους ιχθύας των ποταμών σου· θέλεις πέσει επί πρόσωπον της πεδιάδος· δεν θέλεις συναχθή ουδέ περισταλθή· εις τα θηρία της γης και εις τα πετεινά του ουρανού σε παρέδωκα εις βρώσιν· 6και πάντες οι κατοικούντες την Αίγυπτον θέλουσι γνωρίσει ότι εγώ είμαι ο Κύριος· διότι εστάθησαν ράβδος καλαμίνη εις τον οίκον Ισραήλ. 7Ότε σε επίασαν με την χείρα, συνετρίβης και ετρύπησας όλον τον ώμον αυτών· και ότε εστηρίχθησαν επί σε, συνεθλάσθης και συνέκαμψας πάσας τας οσφύας αυτών. 8Διά τούτο ούτω λέγει Κύριος ο Θεός· Ιδού, θέλω φέρει ρομφαίαν επί σε και θέλω εκκόψει από σου άνθρωπον και κτήνος. 9Και η γη της Αιγύπτου θέλει είσθαι θάμβος και ερημία· και θέλουσι γνωρίσει ότι εγώ είμαι ο Κύριος· διότι είπεν, Ο ποταμός είναι εμού και εγώ έκαμον αυτόν. 10Διά τούτο ιδού, εγώ είμαι εναντίον σου και εναντίον των ποταμών σου· και θέλω κάμει την γην της Αιγύπτου όλως έρημον και θάμβος, από Μιγδώλ μέχρι Συήνης και μέχρι των ορίων της Αιθιοπίας. 11Πούς ανθρώπου δεν θέλει διέλθει δι' αυτής ουδέ πους κτήνους θέλει διέλθει δι' αυτής ουδέ θέλει κατοικηθή τεσσαράκοντα έτη. 12Και θέλω κάμει την γην της Αιγύπτου θάμβος, εν μέσω των ηρημωμένων τόπων, και αι πόλεις αυτής εν μέσω των πόλεων των ηρημωμένων θέλουσιν είσθαι θάμβος τεσσαράκοντα έτη· και θέλω διασπείρει τους Αιγυπτίους μεταξύ των εθνών και διασκορπίσει αυτούς εις τους τόπους. 13Πλην ούτω λέγει Κύριος ο Θεός· Εν τω τέλει των τεσσαράκοντα ετών θέλω συνάξει τους Αιγυπτίους εκ των λαών, εις τους οποίους ήσαν διεσκορπισμένοι· 14και θέλω επαναγάγει τους αιχμαλώτους της Αιγύπτου και επιστρέψει αυτούς εις την γην Παθρώς, εις την γην της καταγωγής αυτών· και θέλουσιν είσθαι εκεί βασίλειον ποταπόν. 15Θέλει είσθαι το ποταπώτερον των βασιλείων· και δεν θέλει υψωθή πλέον επί τα έθνη· διότι θέλω ελαττώσει αυτούς, διά να μη δεσπόζωσιν επί τα έθνη. 16Και δεν θέλει είσθαι πλέον το θάρρος του οίκου Ισραήλ, αναμιμνήσκον την ανομίαν αυτών, αποβλεπόντων οπίσω αυτών· και θέλουσι γνωρίσει ότι εγώ είμαι Κύριος ο Θεός. 17Και εν τω εικοστώ εβδόμω έτει, τω πρώτω μηνί, τη πρώτη του μηνός, έγεινε λόγος Κυρίου προς εμέ, λέγων, 18Υιέ ανθρώπου, Ναβουχοδονόσορ ο βασιλεύς της Βαβυλώνος εδούλευσε το στράτευμα αυτού δουλείαν μεγάλην κατά της Τύρου· πάσα κεφαλή εφαλακρώθη και πας ώμος εξεδάρθη· μισθόν όμως διά την Τύρον δεν έλαβεν ούτε αυτός ούτε το στράτευμα αυτού διά την δουλείαν, την οποίαν εδούλευσε κατ' αυτής· 19διά τούτο ούτω λέγει Κύριος ο Θεός· Ιδού, εγώ δίδω την γην της Αιγύπτου εις τον Ναβουχοδονόσορ βασιλέα της Βαβυλώνος· και θέλει σηκώσει το πλήθος αυτής και θέλει λεηλατήσει την λεηλασίαν αυτής και λαφυραγωγήσει τα λάφυρα αυτής· και τούτο θέλει είσθαι ο μισθός εις το στράτευμα αυτού. 20Έδωκα εις αυτόν την γην της Αιγύπτου διά τον κόπον αυτού, με τον οποίον εδούλευσε κατ' αυτής, επειδή ηγωνίσθησαν δι' εμέ, λέγει Κύριος ο Θεός. 21Εν εκείνη τη ημέρα θέλω κάμει να βλαστήση το κέρας του οίκου Ισραήλ, και θέλω σε κάμει να ανοίξης στόμα εν μέσω αυτών· και θέλουσι γνωρίσει ότι εγώ είμαι ο Κύριος.

1In the tenth year, in the tenth month, on the twelfth day of the month, Yahweh’s word came to me, saying, 2“Son of man, set your face against Pharaoh king of Egypt, and prophesy against him and against all Egypt. 3Speak and say, ‘Thus says the Lord Yahweh: “Behold, I am against you, Pharaoh king of Egypt, the great monster that lies in the midst of his rivers, that has said, ‘My river is my own, and I have made it for myself.’ 4I will put hooks in your jaws, and I will make the fish of your rivers stick to your scales; and I will bring you up out of the midst of your rivers, with all the fish of your rivers which stick to your scales. 5I’ll cast you out into the wilderness, you and all the fish of your rivers. You’ll fall on the open field. You won’t be brought together, nor gathered. I have given you for food to the animals of the earth and to the birds of the sky. 6All the inhabitants of Egypt will know that I am Yahweh, because they have been a staff of reed to the house of Israel. 7When they took hold of you by your hand, you broke, and tore all their shoulders; and when they leaned on you, you broke, and paralyzed all of their thighs.” 8Therefore thus says the Lord Yahweh: “Behold, I will bring a sword on you, and will cut off man and animal from you. 9The land of Egypt shall be a desolation and a waste; and they shall know that I am Yahweh. Because he has said, ‘The river is mine, and I have made it;’ 10therefore, behold, I am against you, and against your rivers, and I will make the land of Egypt an utter waste and desolation, from the tower of Seveneh even to the border of Ethiopia. 11No foot of man shall pass through it, nor foot of animal shall pass through it, neither shall it be inhabited forty years. 12I will make the land of Egypt a desolation in the midst of the countries that are desolate; and her cities among the cities that are laid waste shall be a desolation forty years; and I will scatter the Egyptians among the nations, and will disperse them through the countries.” 13For thus says the Lord Yahweh: “At the end of forty years will I gather the Egyptians from the peoples where they were scattered; 14and I will bring back the captivity of Egypt, and will cause them to return into the land of Pathros, into the land of their birth; and they shall be there a base kingdom. 15It shall be the base of the kingdoms; neither shall it any more lift itself up above the nations: and I will diminish them, that they shall no more rule over the nations. 16It shall be no more the confidence of the house of Israel, bringing iniquity to memory, when they turn to look after them: and they shall know that I am the Lord Yahweh.”’” 17It came to pass in the seven and twentieth year, in the first month, in the first day of the month, Yahweh’s word came to me, saying, 18Son of man, Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon caused his army to serve a great service against Tyre: every head was made bald, and every shoulder was worn; yet had he no wages, nor his army, from Tyre, for the service that he had served against it. 19Therefore thus says the Lord Yahweh: Behold, I will give the land of Egypt to Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon; and he shall carry off her multitude, and take her plunder, and take her prey; and it shall be the wages for his army. 20I have given him the land of Egypt as his recompense for which he served, because they worked for me, says the Lord Yahweh. 21In that day will I cause a horn to sprout for the house of Israel, and I will give you the opening of the mouth in their midst; and they shall know that I am Yahweh.

1In het tiende jaar, in de tiende maand, op den twaalfden der maand, geschiedde des HEEREN woord tot mij, zeggende: 2Mensenkind! zet uw aangezicht tegen Farao, den koning van Egypte, en profeteer tegen hem, en tegen het ganse Egypte. 3Spreek en zeg: Zo zegt de Heere HEERE: Zie, Ik wil aan u, o Farao, koning van Egypte! dien groten zeedraak, die in het midden zijner rivieren ligt; die daar zegt: Mijn rivier is de mijne, en ik heb die voor mij gemaakt. 4Maar Ik zal haken in uw kaken doen, en den vis uwer rivieren aan uw schubben doen kleven; en Ik zal u uit het midden uwer rivieren optrekken, en al de vis uwer rivieren zal aan uw schubben kleven. 5En Ik zal u verlaten in de woestijn, u en al den vis uwer rivieren; op het open veld zult gij vallen; gij zult niet verzameld noch vergaderd worden; aan het gedierte der aarde en aan het gevogelte des hemels heb Ik u ter spijze gegeven. 6En al de inwoners van Egypte zullen weten, dat Ik de HEERE ben, omdat zij den huize Israels een rietstaf geweest zijn. 7Als zij u bij uw hand grepen, zo werdt gij gebroken, en spleet hun alle zijden; en als zij op u leunden, zo werdt gij verbroken, en liet alle lenden op zichzelven staan. 8Daarom zo zegt de Heere HEERE: Zie, Ik zal het zwaard over u brengen, en Ik zal uit u mens en beest uitroeien. 9En Egypteland zal worden tot een wildernis en woestheid, en zij zullen weten, dat Ik de HEERE ben; omdat hij zegt: De rivier is mijn, en ik heb die gemaakt. 10Daarom, zie, Ik wil aan u en aan uw rivier; en Ik zal Egypteland stellen tot woeste wilde eenzaamheden, van den toren van Syrene af, tot aan de landpale van Morenland. 11Geen mensenvoet zal door hetzelve doorgaan, en geen beestenvoet zal door hetzelve doorgaan, en het zal veertig jaren onbewoond zijn. 12Want Ik zal Egypteland stellen tot een verwoesting in het midden der verwoeste landen, en zijn steden zullen een woestheid zijn in het midden der verwoeste steden, veertig jaren; en Ik zal de Egyptenaars verstrooien onder de heidenen, en zal hen verspreiden in de landen. 13Maar zo zegt de Heere HEERE: Ten einde van veertig jaren zal Ik de Egyptenaars vergaderen uit de volken, waarhenen zij verstrooid zijn geworden. 14En Ik zal de gevangenis der Egyptenaren wenden, en hen wederbrengen in het land van Pathros, in het land huns koophandels; en aldaar zullen zij een nederig koninkrijk zijn. 15En het zal nederiger zijn dan de andere koninkrijken, en zich niet meer verheffen boven de heidenen; want Ik zal hen verminderen, dat zij niet zullen heersen over de heidenen. 16En het zal den huize Israels niet meer zijn tot een vertrouwen, dat der ongerechtigheid doet gedenken, wanneer zij naar henlieden omzien; maar zij zullen weten, dat Ik de Heere HEERE ben. 17Voorts gebeurde het in het zeven en twintigste jaar, in de eerste maand, op den eersten der maand, dat het woord des HEEREN tot mij geschiedde, zeggende: 18Mensenkind! Nebukadrezar, de koning van Babel, heeft zijn heir een groten dienst doen dienen tegen Tyrus; alle hoofden zijn kaal geworden, en alle zijden zijn uitgeplukt; en noch hij, noch zijn heir heeft loon gehad vanwege Tyrus, voor den dienst, dien hij tegen haar gediend heeft. 19Daarom, zo zegt de Heere HEERE: Zie, Ik zal Nebukadrezar, den koning van Babel, Egypteland geven; en hij zal deszelfs buit buiten, en deszelfs roof roven, en het zal het loon zijn voor zijn heir. 20Tot zijn arbeidsloon, omdat hij tegen haar gediend heeft, heb Ik hem Egypteland gegeven, omdat zij voor Mij gewrocht hebben, spreekt de Heere HEERE. 21Te dien dage zal Ik den hoorn van het huis Israels doen uitspruiten, en u opening des monds geven in het midden van hen; en zij zullen weten, dat Ik de HEERE ben.
