Nehemias 3

1Nang magkagayo'y si Eliasib na pangulong saserdote ay tumayo na kasama ng kaniyang mga kapatid na mga saserdote, at kanilang itinayo ang pintuang-bayan ng mga tupa; kanilang itinalaga, at inilagay ang mga pinto niyaon; hanggang sa moog ng Meah ay kanilang itinalaga, hanggang sa moog ng Hananeel. 2At sumunod sa kaniya ay nagsipagtayo ang mga lalake ng Jerico. At sumunod sa kanila ay nagtayo si Zachur na anak ni Imri. 3At ang pintuang-bayan ng mga isda ay itinayo ng mga anak ni Senaa; kanilang inilapat ang mga tahilan niyaon, at inilagay ang mga pinto niyaon, ang mga trangka niyaon, at ang mga halang niyaon. 4At sumunod sa kanila ay hinusay ni Meremoth na anak ni Urias, na anak ni Cos. At sumunod sa kanila ay hinusay ni Mesullam, na anak ni Berechias, na anak ni Mesezabeel. At sumunod sa kanila ay hinusay ni Sadoc na anak ni Baana. 5At sumunod sa kanila ay hinusay ng mga Tecoita; nguni't hindi inilagay ng kanilang mga mahal na tao ang kanilang mga leeg sa gawain ng kanilang Panginoon. 6At ang dating pintuang-bayan ay hinusay ni Joiada na anak ni Pasea at ni Mesullam na anak ni Besodias; kanilang inilapat ang mga tahilan niyaon, at inilagay ang mga pinto niyaon, at ang mga trangka niyaon, at ang mga halang niyaon. 7At sumunod sa kanila ay hinusay ni Melatias na Gabaonita, at ni Jadon na Meronothita, ng mga lalaking taga Gabaon, at taga Mizpa, na ukol sa luklukan ng tagapamahala sa dako roon ng Ilog. 8Sumunod sa kanila ay hinusay ni Uzziel na anak ni Harhaia, na platero. At sumunod sa kaniya ay hinusay ni Hananias na isa sa mga manggagawa ng pabango, at kanilang pinagtibay ang Jerusalem, hanggang sa maluwang na kuta. 9At sumunod sa kanila ay hinusay ni Repaias na anak ni Hur, na pinuno ng kalahating distrito ng Jerusalem. 10At sumunod sa kanila ay hinusay ni Jedaias na anak ni Harumaph, sa tapat ng kaniyang bahay. At sumunod sa kaniya ay hinusay ni Hattus na anak ni Hasbanias. 11Ang ibang bahagi at ang moog ng mga hurno ay hinusay ni Malchias na anak ni Harim, at ni Hasub na anak ni Pahatmoab. 12At sumunod sa kaniya ay hinusay ni Sallum na anak ni Lohes, na pinuno ng kalahating distrito ng Jerusalem, niya at ng kaniyang mga anak na babae. 13Ang pintuang-bayan ng libis ay hinusay ni Hanun, at ng mga taga Zanoa; kanilang itinayo, at inilagay ang mga pinto niyaon, ang mga trangka niyaon, at ang mga halang niyaon, at isang libong siko sa kuta hanggang sa pintuang-bayan ng tapunan ng dumi. 14At ang pintuang-bayan ng tapunan ng dumi ay hinusay ni Malchias na anak ni Rechab, na pinuno ng distrito ng Beth-haccerem; kaniyang itinayo, at inilagay ang mga pinto niyaon, ang mga trangka niyaon, at ang mga halang niyaon. 15At ang pintuang-bayan ng bukal ay hinusay ni Sallum na anak ni Cholhoce, na pinuno ng distrito ng Mizpa, kaniyang itinayo, at tinakpan, at inilagay ang mga pinto niyaon, ang trangka niyaon, at ang mga halang niyaon, at ang pader ng tangke ng Selah sa tabi ng halamanan ng hari, hanggang sa mga baytang na paibaba mula sa bayan ni David. 16Sumunod sa kaniya ay hinusay ni Nehemias na anak ni Azbuc, na pinuno ng kalahating distrito ng Beth-sur, hanggang sa dako ng tapat ng mga libingan ni David, at hanggang sa tangke na ginawa, at hanggang sa bahay ng mga makapangyarihang lalake. 17Sumunod sa kaniya ay hinusay ng mga Levita, ni Rehum na anak ni Bani. Sumunod sa kaniya, ay hinusay ni Asabias, na pinuno ng kalahating distrito ng Ceila, na pinaka distrito niya. 18Sumunod sa kaniya ay hinusay ng kanilang mga kapatid, ni Bavvai na anak ni Henadad, na pinuno ng kalahating distrito ng Ceila. 19At sumunod sa kaniya ay hinusay ni Ezer na anak ni Jesua, na pinuno ng Mizpa, na ibang bahagi, sa tapat ng sampahan sa lagayan ng mga sandata sa pagliko ng kuta. 20Sumunod sa kaniya ay hinusay na masikap ni Baruch na anak ni Zachai ang ibang bahagi, mula sa may pagliko ng kuta hanggang sa pintuan ng bahay ni Eliasib na pangulong saserdote. 21Sumunod sa kaniya ay hinusay ni Meremoth, na anak ni Urias na anak ni Cos ang ibang bahagi mula sa pintuan ng bahay ni Eliasib hanggang sa hangganan ng bahay ni Eliasib. 22At sumunod sa kaniya, ay hinusay ng mga saserdote, na mga lalake sa Kapatagan. 23Sumunod sa kanila, ay hinusay ni Benjamin at ni Hasub sa tapat ng kanilang bahay. Sumunod sa kanila ay hinusay ni Azarias na anak ni Maasias na anak ni Ananias, sa siping ng kaniyang sariling bahay. 24Sumunod sa kaniya ay hinusay ni Binnui na anak ni Henadad ang ibang bahagi, mula sa bahay ni Azarias hanggang sa pagliko ng kuta, at hanggang sa sulok. 25Si Paal na anak ni Uzai ay naghusay ng tapat ng may pagliko ng kuta, at ng moog na lumalabas mula sa lalong mataas na bahay ng hari, na nasa tabi ng looban ng bantay. Sumunod sa kaniya'y si Pedaia na anak ni Pharos ang naghusay. 26(Ang mga Nethineo nga ay nagsitahan sa Ophel, hanggang sa dako na nasa tapat ng pintuang-bayan ng tubig sa dakong silanganan, at ng moog na nakalabas.) 27Sumunod sa kaniya ay hinusay ng mga Tecoita ang ibang bahagi, sa tapat ng malaking moog na nakalabas, at hanggang sa pader ng Ophel. 28Sa itaas ng pintuang-bayan ng mga kabayo, mga saserdote ang naghusay na bawa't isa'y sa tapat ng kaniyang sariling bahay. 29Sumunod sa kanila ay hinusay ni Sadoc na anak ni Immer sa tapat ng kaniyang sariling bahay. At sumunod sa kaniya ay hinusay ni Semaias na anak ni Sechanias na tagatanod ng pintuang silanganan. 30Sumunod sa kaniya ay hinusay ni Hananias na anak ni Selemias, at ni Anun na ikaanim na anak ni Salaph ang ibang bahagi. Sumunod sa kaniya ay hinusay ni Mesullam na anak ni Berechias sa tapat ng kaniyang silid. 31Sumunod sa kaniya, ay hinusay ni Malchias na isa sa mga platero sa bahay ng mga Nethineo, at sa mga mangangalakal, sa tapat ng pintuang-bayan ng Hammiphcad, at sa sampahan sa sulok. 32At sa pagitan ng sampahan sa sulok at ng pintuang-bayan ng mga tupa, ang naghusay ay ang mga platero at ang mga mangangalakal.

1Then Eliashib the high priest rose up with his brothers the priests, and they built the sheep gate; they sanctified it, and set up its doors; even to the tower of Hammeah they sanctified it, to the tower of Hananel. 2Next to him built the men of Jericho. Next to them built Zaccur the son of Imri. 3The sons of Hassenaah built the fish gate. They laid its beams, and set up its doors, its bolts, and its bars. 4Next to them, Meremoth the son of Uriah, the son of Hakkoz made repairs. Next to them, Meshullam the son of Berechiah, the son of Meshezabel made repairs. Next to them, Zadok the son of Baana made repairs. 5Next to them, the Tekoites made repairs; but their nobles didn’t put their necks to the work of their lord. 6Joiada the son of Paseah and Meshullam the son of Besodeiah repaired the old gate. They laid its beams, and set up its doors, and its bolts, and its bars. 7Next to them, Melatiah the Gibeonite, and Jadon the Meronothite, the men of Gibeon, and of Mizpah, repaired the residence of the governor beyond the River. 8Next to him, Uzziel the son of Harhaiah, goldsmiths, made repairs. Next to him, Hananiah one of the perfumers made repairs, and they fortified Jerusalem even to the broad wall. 9Next to them, Rephaiah the son of Hur, the ruler of half the district of Jerusalem, made repairs. 10Next to them, Jedaiah the son of Harumaph made repairs across from his house. Next to him, Hattush the son of Hashabneiah made repairs. 11Malchijah the son of Harim, and Hasshub the son of Pahathmoab, repaired another portion, and the tower of the furnaces. 12Next to him, Shallum the son of Hallohesh, the ruler of half the district of Jerusalem, he and his daughters, made repairs. 13Hanun and the inhabitants of Zanoah repaired the valley gate. They built it, and set up its doors, its bolts, and its bars, and one thousand cubits of the wall to the dung gate. 14Malchijah the son of Rechab, the ruler of the district of Beth Haccherem repaired the dung gate. He built it, and set up its doors, its bolts, and its bars. 15Shallun the son of Colhozeh, the ruler of the district of Mizpah repaired the spring gate. He built it, and covered it, and set up its doors, its bolts, and its bars, and the wall of the pool of Shelah by the king’s garden, even to the stairs that go down from the city of David. 16After him, Nehemiah the son of Azbuk, the ruler of half the district of Beth Zur, made repairs to the place opposite the tombs of David, and to the pool that was made, and to the house of the mighty men. 17After him, the Levites, Rehum the son of Bani made repairs. Next to him, Hashabiah, the ruler of half the district of Keilah, made repairs for his district. 18After him, their brothers, Bavvai the son of Henadad, the ruler of half the district of Keilah made repairs. 19Next to him, Ezer the son of Jeshua, the ruler of Mizpah, repaired another portion, across from the ascent to the armory at the turning of the wall. 20After him, Baruch the son of Zabbai earnestly repaired another portion, from the turning of the wall to the door of the house of Eliashib the high priest. 21After him, Meremoth the son of Uriah the son of Hakkoz repaired another portion, from the door of the house of Eliashib even to the end of the house of Eliashib. 22After him, the priests, the men of the Plain made repairs. 23After them, Benjamin and Hasshub made repairs across from their house. After them, Azariah the son of Maaseiah the son of Ananiah made repairs beside his own house. 24After him, Binnui the son of Henadad repaired another portion, from the house of Azariah to the turning of the wall, and to the corner. 25Palal the son of Uzai made repairs opposite the turning of the wall, and the tower that stands out from the upper house of the king, which is by the court of the guard. After him Pedaiah the son of Parosh made repairs. 26(Now the Nethinim lived in Ophel, to the place over against the water gate toward the east, and the tower that stands out.) 27After him the Tekoites repaired another portion, over against the great tower that stands out, and to the wall of Ophel. 28Above the horse gate, the priests made repairs, everyone across from his own house. 29After them, Zadok the son of Immer made repairs across from his own house. After him, Shemaiah the son of Shecaniah, the keeper of the east gate made repairs. 30After him, Hananiah the son of Shelemiah, and Hanun the sixth son of Zalaph, repaired another portion. After him, Meshullam the son of Berechiah made repairs across from his room. 31After him, Malchijah one of the goldsmiths to the house of the Nethinim, and of the merchants, made repairs over against the gate of Hammiphkad, and to the ascent of the corner. 32Between the ascent of the corner and the sheep gate, the goldsmiths and the merchants made repairs.

1En Eljasib, de hogepriester, maakte zich op met zijn broederen, de priesteren, en zij bouwden de Schaapspoort; zij heiligden ze, en richtten haar deuren op; ja, zij heiligden ze tot aan den toren Mea, tot aan den toren Hananeel. 2En aan zijn hand bouwden de mannen van Jericho; ook bouwde aan zijn hand Zacchur, de zoon van Imri. 3De Vispoort nu bouwden de kinderen van Senaa; zij zolderden die, en richtten haar deuren op, met haar sloten en haar grendelen. 4En aan hun hand verbeterde Meremoth, de zoon van Uria, den zoon van Koz; en aan hun hand verbeterde Mesullam, de zoon van Berechja, den zoon van Mesezabeel; en aan hun hand verbeterde Zadok, zoon van Baena. 5Voorts aan hun hand verbeterden de Thekoieten; maar hun voortreffelijken brachten hun hals niet tot den dienst huns Heeren. 6En de Oude poort verbeterden Jojada, de zoon van Paseah, en Mesullam, de zoon van Besodja; deze zolderden zij, en richtten haar deuren op, met haar sloten en haar grendelen. 7En aan hun hand verbeterden Melatja, de Gibeoniet, en Jadon, de Meronothiet, de mannen van Gibeon en van Mizpa; tot aan den stoel des landvoogds aan deze zijde der rivier. 8Aan zijn hand verbeterde Uzziel, de zoon van Harhoja, een der goudsmeden, en aan zijn hand verbeterde Hananja, de zoon van een der apothekers; en zij lieten Jeruzalem tot aan den breden muur. 9En aan hun hand verbeterde Refaja, de zoon van Hur, overste des halven deels van Jeruzalem. 10Voorts aan hun hand verbeterde Jedaja, de zoon van Herumaf, en tegenover zijn huis; en aan zijn hand verbeterde Hattus, de zoon van Hasabneja. 11De andere mate verbeterden Malchia, de zoon van Harim, en Hassub, de zoon van Pahath-Moab; daartoe den Bakoventoren. 12En aan zijn hand verbeterde Sallum, de zoon van Lohes, overste van het andere halve deel van Jeruzalem, hij en zijn dochteren. 13De Dalpoort verbeterden Hanun, en de inwoners van Zanoah; zij bouwden die, en richtten haar deuren op, met haar sloten en haar grendelen; daartoe duizend ellen aan den muur, tot aan de Mistpoort. 14De Mistpoort nu verbeterde Malchia, de zoon van Rechab, overste van het deel Beth-Cherem; hij bouwde ze, en richtte haar deuren op, met haar sloten en haar grendelen. 15En de Fonteinpoort verbeterde Sallum, de zoon van Kol-Hoze, overste van het deel van Mizpa; hij bouwde ze, en overdekte ze, en richtte haar deuren op, met haar sloten en haar grendelen; daartoe den muur des vijvers Schelah bij des konings hof, en tot aan de trappen, die afgaan van Davids stad. 16Na hem verbeterde Nehemia, de zoon van Azbuk, overste van het halve deel van Beth-Zur, tot tegenover Davids graven, en tot aan den gemaakten vijver, en tot aan het huis der helden. 17Na hem verbeterden de Levieten, Rehum, de zoon van Bani; aan zijn hand verbeterde Hasabja, de overste van het halve deel van Kehila, in zijn deel. 18Na hem verbeterden hun broederen, Bavai, de zoon van Henadad, de overste van het andere halve deel van Kehila. 19Aan zijn hand verbeterde Ezer, de zoon van Jesua, de overste van Mizpa, een ander maat; tegenover den opgang naar het wapenhuis, aan den hoek. 20Na hem verbeterde zeer vuriglijk Baruch, de zoon van Zabbai, een andere maat; van den hoek tot aan de deur van het huis van Eljasib, den hogepriester. 21Na hem verbeterde Meremoth, de zoon van Uria, den zoon van Koz, een ander maat; van de huisdeur van Eljasib af, tot aan het einde van Eljasibs huis. 22En na hem verbeterden de priesteren, wonende in de vlakke velden. 23Daarna verbeterden Benjamin, en Hassub, tegenover hun huis; na hem verbeterde Azaria, de zoon van Maaseja, den zoon van Hananja, bij zijn huis. 24Na hem verbeterde Binnui, de zoon van Henadad, een ander maat; van het huis van Azarja tot aan den hoek en tot aan het punt; 25Palal, de zoon van Uzai, tegen den hoek, en den hogen toren over, die van des konings huis uitsteekt, die bij den voorhof der gevangenis is; na hem Pedaja, de zoon van Paros; 26De Nethinim nu, die in Ofel woonden, tot tegenover de Waterpoort aan het oosten, en den uitstekenden toren. 27Daarna verbeterden de Thekoieten een ander maat; tegenover den groten uitstekenden toren, en tot aan den muur van Ofel. 28Van boven de Paardenpoort verbeterden de priesteren, een iegelijk tegenover zijn huis. 29Daarna verbeterde Zadok, de zoon van Immer, tegenover zijn huis. En na hem verbeterde Semaja, de zoon van Sechanja, de bewaarder van de Oostpoort. 30Na hem verbeterden Hananja, de zoon van Selemja, en Hanun, de zoon van Zalaf, de zesde, een andere maat. Na hem verbeterde Mesullam, de zoon van Berechja, tegenover zijn kamer. 31Na hem verbeterde Malchia, de zoon eens goudsmids, tot aan het huis der Nethinim en der kruideniers, tegenover de poort van Mifkad, en tot de opperzaal van het punt. 32En tussen de opperzaal van het punt tot de Schaapspoort toe, verbeterden de goudsmeden en de kruideniers.
