Job 8

1Nang magkagayo'y sumagot si Bildad na Suhita, at nagsabi, 2Hanggang kailan magsasalita ka ng mga bagay na ito? At hanggang kailan magiging gaya ng makapangyarihang hangin ang mga salita ng iyong bibig? 3Nagliliko ba ng kahatulan ang Dios? O nagliliko ba ang Makapangyarihan sa lahat ng kaganapan? 4Kung ang iyong mga anak ay nangagkasala laban sa kaniya, at kaniyang ibinigay sila sa kamay ng kanilang pagkasalangsang: 5Kung hanapin mong mainam ang Dios, at iyong pamanhikan ang Makapangyarihan sa lahat; 6Kung ikaw ay malinis at matuwid; walang pagsalang ngayo'y gigising siya dahil sa iyo. At pasasaganain ang tahanan ng iyong katuwiran. 7At bagaman ang iyong pasimula ay maliit, gayon ma'y ang iyong huling wakas ay lalaking mainam. 8Sapagka't ikaw ay magsisiyasat, isinasamo ko sa iyo, sa unang panahon, at pasiyahan mo ang sinaliksik ng kanilang mga magulang: 9(Sapagka't tayo'y kahapon lamang, at walang nalalaman, sapagka't ang ating mga kaarawan sa lupa ay anino:) 10Hindi ka ba nila tuturuan, at sasaysayin sa iyo, at mangagsasalita ng mga salita mula sa kanilang puso? 11Makatataas ba ang yantok ng walang putik? Tutubo ba ang tambo ng walang tubig? 12Samantalang nasa kasariwaan, at hindi pinuputol, natutuyong una kay sa alin mang damo. 13Gayon ang mga landas ng lahat na nagsisilimot sa Dios; at ang pagasa ng di banal ay mawawala: 14Na ang kaniyang pagtitiwala ay mapaparam, at ang kaniyang tiwala ay isang bahay gagamba. 15Siya'y sasandal sa kaniyang bahay, nguni't hindi tatayo; siya'y pipigil na mahigpit dito, nguni't hindi makapagmamatigas. 16Siya'y sariwa sa harap ng araw, at ang kaniyang mga suwi ay sumisibol sa kaniyang halamanan. 17Ang kaniyang mga ugat ay nagkakapitan sa palibot ng bunton, kaniyang minamasdan ang dako ng mga bato. 18Kung siya'y magiba sa kaniyang dako, kung magkagayo'y itatakuwil niya siya, na sinasabi: Hindi kita nakita. 19Narito, ito ang kagalakan ng kaniyang lakad, at mula sa lupa ay sisibol ang mga iba. 20Narito, hindi itatakuwil ng Dios ang sakdal na tao, ni aalalayan man niya ang mga manggagawa ng kasamaan. 21Kaniya namang pupunuin ang iyong bibig ng pagtawa, at ang iyong mga labi ng paghiyaw. 22Silang nangapopoot sa iyo ay mabibihisan ng pagkahiya; at ang tolda ng masama ay mawawala.

1Then Bildad the Shuhite answered, 2“How long will you speak these things? Shall the words of your mouth be a mighty wind? 3Does God pervert justice? Or does the Almighty pervert righteousness? 4If your children have sinned against him, He has delivered them into the hand of their disobedience. 5If you want to seek God diligently, make your supplication to the Almighty. 6If you were pure and upright, surely now he would awaken for you, and make the habitation of your righteousness prosperous. 7Though your beginning was small, yet your latter end would greatly increase. 8“Please inquire of past generations. Find out about the learning of their fathers. 9(For we are but of yesterday, and know nothing, because our days on earth are a shadow.) 10Shall they not teach you, tell you, and utter words out of their heart? 11“Can the papyrus grow up without mire? Can the rushes grow without water? 12While it is yet in its greenness, not cut down, it withers before any other reed. 13So are the paths of all who forget God. The hope of the godless man shall perish, 14Whose confidence shall break apart, Whose trust is a spider’s web. 15He shall lean on his house, but it shall not stand. He shall cling to it, but it shall not endure. 16He is green before the sun. His shoots go out along his garden. 17His roots are wrapped around the rock pile. He sees the place of stones. 18If he is destroyed from his place, then it shall deny him, saying, ‘I have not seen you.’ 19Behold, this is the joy of his way: out of the earth, others shall spring. 20“Behold, God will not cast away a blameless man, neither will he uphold the evildoers. 21He will still fill your mouth with laughter, your lips with shouting. 22Those who hate you shall be clothed with shame. The tent of the wicked shall be no more.”

1Toen antwoordde Bildad, de Suhiet, en zeide: 2Hoe lang zult gij deze dingen spreken, en de redenen uws monds een geweldige wind zijn? 3Zou dan God het recht verkeren, en zou de Almachtige de gerechtigheid verkeren? 4Indien uw kinderen gezondigd hebben tegen Hem, Hij heeft hen ook in de hand hunner overtreding geworpen. 5Maar indien gij naar God vroeg zoekt, en tot den Almachtige om genade bidt; 6Zo gij zuiver en recht zijt, gewisselijk zal Hij nu opwaken, om uwentwil, en Hij zal de woning uwer gerechtigheid volmaken. 7Uw beginsel zal wel gering zijn; maar uw laatste zal zeer vermeerderd worden. 8Want vraag toch naar het vorige geslacht, en bereid u tot de onderzoeking hunner vaderen. 9Want wij zijn van gisteren en weten niet; dewijl onze dagen op de aarde een schaduw zijn. 10Zullen die u niet leren, tot u spreken, en uit hun hart redenen voortbrengen? 11Verheft zich de bieze zonder slijk? Groeit het rietgras zonder water? 12Als het nog in zijn groenigheid is, hoewel het niet afgesneden wordt, nochtans verdort het voor alle gras. 13Alzo zijn de paden van allen, die God vergeten; en de verwachting des huichelaars zal vergaan. 14Van denwelke zijn hoop walgen zal; en zijn vertrouwen zal zijn een huis der spinnekop. 15Hij zal op zijn huis leunen, maar het zal niet bestaan; hij zal zich daaraan vasthouden, maar het zal niet staande blijven. 16Hij is sappig voor de zon, en zijn scheuten gaan over zijn hof uit. 17Zijn wortelen worden bij de springader ingevlochten; hij ziet een stenige plaats. 18Maar als God hem verslindt uit zijn plaats, zo zal zij hem loochenen, zeggende: Ik heb u niet gezien. 19Zie, dat is vreugde zijns wegs; en uit het stof zullen anderen voortspruiten. 20Zie, God zal den oprechte niet verwerpen; Hij vat ook de boosdoeners niet bij de hand; 21Totdat Hij uw mond met gelach vervulle, en uw lippen met gejuich. 22Uw haters zullen met schaamte bekleed worden; en de tent der goddelozen zal niet meer zijn.
