1Ganito ang sabi ng Panginoon sa akin, Ikaw ay yumaon at bumili ka ng isang pamigkis na lino, at ibigkis mo sa iyong mga bayawang at huwag mong ilubog sa tubig. 2Sa gayo'y bumili ako ng pamigkis ayon sa salita ng Panginoon, at inilagay ko sa aking mga bayawang. 3At ang salita ng Panginoon, ay dumating sa akin na ikalawa, na nagsabi, 4Kunin mo ang pamigkis na iyong binili, na nasa iyong mga bayawang, at ikaw ay bumangon, yumaon ka sa Eufrates, at ikubli mo roon sa isang bitak ng malaking bato. 5Sa gayo'y yumaon ako, at ikinubli ko sa tabi ng Eufrates ayon sa iniutos sa akin ng Panginoon. 6At nangyari, pagkaraan ng maraming araw, na sinabi ng Panginoon sa akin, Ikaw ay bumangon, yumaon ka sa Eufrates, at kunin mo ang pamigkis mula roon, na iniutos ko sa iyong ikubli mo roon. 7Nang magkagayo'y yumaon ako sa Eufrates, at hinukay ko, at kinuha ko ang pamigkis mula sa dakong aking pinagkublihan; at, narito, ang pamigkis ay bulok, hindi mapapakinabangan sa anoman. 8Nang magkagayo'y dumating sa akin ang salita ng Panginoon, na nagsasabi. 9Ganito ang sabi ng Panginoon, Ayon sa paraang ito ay aking sasayangin ang kapalaluan ng Juda, at ang malaking kapalaluan ng Jerusalem. 10Ang masamang bayang ito, na ayaw makinig ng mga salita ko, na lumalakad ayon sa katigasan ng kanilang puso, at yumaong sumunod sa ibang mga Dios upang paglingkuran, at upang sambahin, ay magiging gaya ng pamigkis na ito, na hindi mapapakinabangan sa anoman. 11Sapagka't kung paanong ang pamigkis ay kumakapit sa mga balakang ng lalake, gayon pinakapit ko sa akin ang buong sangbahayan ni Israel at ang buong sangbahayan ni Juda, sabi ng Panginoon; upang sila'y maging pinakabayan sa akin, at pinakapangalan, at pinakapuri, at pinakaluwalhati: nguni't hindi nila dininig. 12Kaya't sasalitain mo sa kanila ang salitang ito. Ganito ang sabi ng Panginoon, ng Dios ng Israel, Bawa't sisidlang balat ay mapupuno ng alak: at kanilang sasabihin sa iyo, Hindi baga namin nalalaman na ang bawa't sisidlang balat ay mapupuno ng alak? 13Kung magkagayo'y sasabihin mo sa kanila, Ganito ang sabi ng Panginoon, Narito, aking pupunuin ng pagkalango ang lahat na mananahan sa lupaing ito, ang mga hari na nakaupo sa luklukan ni David, at ang mga saserdote at ang mga propeta, at ang lahat na nananahan sa Jerusalem. 14At aking itutulak ang isa laban sa isa, sa makatuwid baga'y ang mga magulang at ang mga anak na magkakasama, sabi ng Panginoon: hindi ako magpapatawad, o maaawa man, o mahahabag man, na sila'y lilipulin ko. 15Inyong dinggin, at kayo'y mangakinig; Huwag kayong mangagpalalo; sapagka't sinalita ng Panginoon. 16Luwalhatiin ninyo ang Panginoon ninyong Dios, bago siya magpadilim, at bago matisod ang inyong mga paa sa mga madilim na bundok, at, habang kayo'y nangaghihintay ng liwanag, ay kaniyang gagawing lilim ng kamatayan, at papagsasalimuutin niya ang kadiliman. 17Nguni't kung hindi ninyo didinggin, ako'y iiyak, na lihim dahil sa inyong kapalaluan; at ang mata ko ay iiyak na mainam, at dadaluyan ng mga luha, sapagka't ang kawan ng Panginoon ay nabihag. 18Iyong sabihin sa hari at sa ina ng hari, Kayo'y mangagpapakababa, magsiupo kayo; sapagka't ang inyong mga kagayakan ng ulo ay nalagpak, ang putong ng inyong kaluwalhatian. 19Ang mga bayan ng Timugan ay nasarhan, at walang mangagbukas: ang buong Juda ay nadalang bihag; buong nadalang bihag. 20Inyong itanaw ang inyong mga mata, at inyong masdan sila na nanganggagaling sa hilagaan: saan nandoon ang kawan na nabigay sa iyo, ang iyong magandang kawan? 21Ano ang iyong sasabihin pagka kaniyang inilagay ang iyong mga kaibigan na pinakapangulo mo, na wari iyong tinuruan sila laban sa iyo? hindi baga mamamanglaw ka, ng parang isang babae na nagdaramdam? 22At kung iyong sabihin sa puso, Bakit ang mga bagay na ito ay dumating sa akin? dahil sa kalakhan ng iyong kasamaan ay nalilis ang iyong mga laylayan, at iyong mga sakong ay nagtiis ng karahasan. 23Makapagbabago baga ang Etiope ng kaniyang balat, o ang leopardo ng kaniyang batik? kung magkagayo'y mangakagagawa naman kayo ng mabuti, na mga bihasang gumawa ng masama. 24Kaya't aking pangangalatin sila, gaya ng dayami na dumaraan, sa pamamagitan ng hangin sa ilang. 25Ito ang iyong kapalaran, ang bahaging sukat sa iyo na mula sa akin, sabi ng Panginoon; sapagka't iyong nilimot ako, at tumiwala ka sa kabulaanan. 26Kaya't akin namang ililihis ang iyong mga laylayan sa harap ng iyong mukha, at ang iyong kahihiyan ay malilitaw. 27Aking nakita ang iyong mga kasuklamsuklam na gawa, sa makatuwid baga'y ang iyong mga pangangalunya, at ang iyong mga paghalinghing, ang kahalayan ng iyong pakikiapid, sa mga burol sa parang. Sa aba mo, Oh Jerusalem! ikaw ay hindi malilinis; hanggang kailan pa magkakaganyan?
1Thus says Yahweh to me, Go, and buy yourself a linen belt, and put it on your waist, and don’t put it in water. 2So I bought a belt according to Yahweh’s word, and put it on my waist. 3Yahweh’s word came to me the second time, saying, 4Take the belt that you have bought, which is on your waist, and arise, go to the Euphrates, and hide it there in a cleft of the rock. 5So I went, and hid it by the Euphrates, as Yahweh commanded me. 6After many days, Yahweh said to me, Arise, go to the Euphrates, and take the belt from there, which I commanded you to hide there. 7Then I went to the Euphrates, and dug, and took the belt from the place where I had hidden it; and behold, the belt was marred, it was profitable for nothing. 8Then Yahweh’s word came to me, saying, 9Thus says Yahweh, In this way I will mar the pride of Judah, and the great pride of Jerusalem. 10This evil people, who refuse to hear my words, who walk in the stubbornness of their heart, and are gone after other gods to serve them, and to worship them, shall even be as this belt, which is profitable for nothing. 11For as the belt clings to the waist of a man, so have I caused to cling to me the whole house of Israel and the whole house of Judah, says Yahweh; that they may be to me for a people, and for a name, and for a praise, and for a glory: but they would not hear. 12Therefore you shall speak to them this word: Thus says Yahweh, the God of Israel, Every bottle shall be filled with wine: and they shall tell you, Do we not certainly know that every bottle shall be filled with wine? 13Then you shall tell them, Thus says Yahweh, Behold, I will fill all the inhabitants of this land, even the kings who sit on David’s throne, and the priests, and the prophets, and all the inhabitants of Jerusalem, with drunkenness. 14I will dash them one against another, even the fathers and the sons together, says Yahweh: I will not pity, nor spare, nor have compassion, that I should not destroy them. 15Hear, and give ear; don’t be proud; for Yahweh has spoken. 16Give glory to Yahweh your God, before he causes darkness, and before your feet stumble on the dark mountains, and, while you look for light, he turns it into the shadow of death, and makes it gross darkness. 17But if you will not hear it, my soul shall weep in secret for your pride; and my eye shall weep bitterly, and run down with tears, because Yahweh’s flock is taken captive. 18Say to the king and to the queen mother, Humble yourselves, sit down; for your headdresses have come down, even the crown of your glory. 19The cities of the South are shut up, and there is no one to open them: Judah is carried away captive, all of it; it is wholly carried away captive. 20Lift up your eyes, and see those who come from the north: where is the flock that was given you, your beautiful flock? 21What will you say, when he shall set over you as head those whom you have yourself taught to be friends to you? shall not sorrows take hold of you, as of a woman in travail? 22If you say in your heart, Why are these things come on me? for the greatness of your iniquity are your skirts uncovered, and your heels suffer violence. 23Can the Ethiopian change his skin, or the leopard his spots? then may you also do good, who are accustomed to do evil. 24Therefore will I scatter them, as the stubble that passes away, by the wind of the wilderness. 25This is your lot, the portion measured to you from me, says Yahweh; because you have forgotten me, and trusted in falsehood. 26Therefore will I also uncover your skirts on your face, and your shame shall appear. 27I have seen your abominations, even your adulteries, and your neighing, the lewdness of your prostitution, on the hills in the field. Woe to you, Jerusalem! You will not be made clean; how long shall it yet be?
1Alzo heeft de HEERE tot mij gezegd: Ga henen, en koop u een linnen gordel, en doe dien aan uw lenden, maar breng hem niet in het water. 2En ik kocht een gordel naar het woord des HEEREN, en ik deed dien aan mijn lenden. 3Toen geschiedde des HEEREN woord ten tweeden male tot mij, zeggende: 4Neem den gordel, dien gij gekocht hebt, die aan uw lenden is, en maak u op, en ga henen naar den Frath, en versteek dien aldaar in de klove ener steenrots. 5Zo ging ik henen, en verstak dien bij den Frath, gelijk als de HEERE mij geboden had. 6Het geschiedde nu ten einde van vele dagen, dat de HEERE tot mij zeide: Maak u op, ga henen naar den Frath, en neem den gordel van daar, dien Ik u geboden heb aldaar te versteken. 7Zo ging ik naar den Frath, en groef, en nam den gordel van de plaats, alwaar ik dien verstoken had; en ziet, de gordel was verdorven en deugde nergens toe. 8Toen geschiedde des HEEREN woord tot mij, zeggende: 9Zo zegt de HEERE: Alzo zal Ik verderven de hovaardij van Juda, en die grote hovaardij van Jeruzalem. 10Ditzelve boze volk, dat Mijn woorden weigert te horen, dat in het goeddunken zijns harten wandelt, en andere goden navolgt, om die te dienen, en voor die zich neder te buigen; dat zal worden gelijk deze gordel, die nergens toe deugt. 11Want gelijk als een gordel kleeft aan de lenden eens mans, alzo heb Ik het ganse huis Israels en het ganse huis van Juda aan Mij doen kleven, spreekt de HEERE, om Mij te zijn tot een volk, en tot een naam, en tot lof, en tot heerlijkheid; maar zij hebben niet gehoord. 12Daarom zeg dit woord tot hen: Zo zegt de HEERE, de God Israels: Alle flessen zullen met wijn gevuld worden. Dan zullen zij tot u zeggen: Weten wij niet zeer wel, dat alle flessen met wijn gevuld zullen worden? 13Maar gij zult tot hen zeggen: Zo zegt de HEERE: Ziet, Ik zal alle inwoners deze lands, zelfs de koningen, die op Davids troon zitten, en de priesters, en de profeten, en alle inwoners van Jeruzalem, opvullen met dronkenschap. 14En Ik zal hen in stukken slaan, den een tegen den ander, zo de vaders als de kinderen te zamen, spreekt de HEERE; Ik zal niet verschonen noch sparen, noch Mij ontfermen, dat Ik hen niet zou verderven. 15Hoort en neemt ter ore, verheft u niet; want de HEERE heeft het gesproken. 16Geeft eer den HEERE, uw God, eer dat Hij het duister maakt, en eer uw voeten zich stoten aan de schemerende bergen; dat gij naar licht wacht, en Hij datzelve tot een schaduw des doods stelle, en tot een donkerheid zette. 17Zult gijlieden dat dan nog niet horen, zo zal mijn ziel in verborgene plaatsen wenen vanwege den hoogmoed, en mijn oog zal bitterlijk tranen, ja, van tranen nederdalen, omdat des HEEREN kudde gevankelijk is weggevoerd. 18Zeg tot den koning en tot de koningin: Vernedert u, zet u neder; want uw ganse hoofdsieraad, de kroon uwer heerlijkheid, is nedergedaald. 19De steden van het zuiden zijn toegesloten, en er is niemand, die ze opent; het ganse Juda is weggevoerd, het is geheel en al weggevoerd. 20Hef uw ogen op, en zie, die daar van het noorden komen! waar is de kudde, die u gegeven was, de schapen uwer heerlijkheid? 21Wat zult gij zeggen, wanneer Hij bezoeking over u doen zal, daar gij hem geleerd hebt tot vorsten, tot een hoofd over u te zijn; zullen u de smarten niet aangrijpen, als een barende vrouw? 22Wanneer gij dan in uw hart zult zeggen: Waarom zijn mij deze dingen bejegend? Om de veelheid uwer ongerechtigheid, zijn uw zomen ontdekt, en uw hielen hebben geweld geleden. 23Zal ook een Moorman zijn huid veranderen? of een luipaard zijn vlekken? Zo zult gijlieden ook kunnen goed doen, die geleerd zijt kwaad te doen. 24Daarom zal Ik hen verstrooien als een stoppel, die doorgaat, door een wind der woestijn. 25Dit zal uw lot, het deel uwer maten zijn van Mij, spreekt de HEERE; gij, die Mij hebt vergeten, en op leugen vertrouwt. 26Zo zal Ik ook uw zomen ontbloten boven uw aangezicht, en uw schande zal gezien worden. 27Uw overspelen en uw hunkeringen, de schandelijkheid uws hoerdoms, op heuvelen, in het veld; Ik heb uw verfoeiselen gezien; wee u, Jeruzalem! zult gij niet rein worden? Hoe lang nog na dezen?
