1Nang magkagayon ay sinabi ng Panginoon kay Moises, Pasukin mo si Faraon, at saysayin mo sa kaniya. Ganito ang sabi ng Panginoon, ng Dios ng mga Hebreo: Payaunin mo ang aking bayan, upang ako'y mapaglingkuran nila. 2Sapagka't kung tatanggihan mong payaunin sila, at sila'y pipigilin mo pa, 3Ay narito, ang kamay ng Panginoon ay nakapatong sa iyong hayop na nasa parang, nakapatong sa mga kabayo, nakapatong sa mga asno, nakapatong sa mga kamello, nakapatong sa mga bakahan, at nakapatong sa mga kawan; na magkakaroon ng malaking pagkakasalot. 4At gagawan ng katangian ng Panginoon ang hayop ng Israel at ang hayop ng Egipto: at walang mamamatay sa lahat ng ukol sa mga anak ni Israel. 5At ang Panginoon ay nagtakda ng panahon, na sinasabi, Bukas ay gagawin ng Panginoon ang bagay na ito sa lupain. 6At ginawa ng Panginoon ang bagay na yaon ng kinabukasan, at ang lahat ng hayop sa Egipto ay namatay: nguni't sa hayop ng mga anak ni Israel ay walang namatay kahit isa. 7At si Faraon ay nagsugo, at narito, walang namatay kahit isa sa kawan ng mga Israelita. Nguni't ang puso ni Faraon ay nagmatigas, at hindi niya pinayaon ang bayan. 8At sinabi ng Panginoon kay Moises at kay Aaron, Dumakot kayo ng isang dakot na abo sa hurno, at isaboy ni Moises sa himpapawid sa paningin ni Faraon. 9At magiging durog na alabok sa buong lupain ng Egipto, at magiging bukol na naknakin sa tao, at sa hayop, sa buong lupain ng Egipto. 10At sila'y kumuha ng abo sa hurno, at tumayo sa harap ni Faraon, at isinaboy ni Moises sa himpapawid; at naging bukol na naknakin sa tao at sa hayop. 11At ang mga mahiko ay hindi makatayo sa harap ni Moises dahil sa mga bukol; sapagka't nagkabukol ang mga mahiko at ang mga Egipcio. 12At pinapagmatigas ng Panginoon ang puso ni Faraon, at hindi niya dininig sila gaya ng sinalita ng Panginoon kay Moises. 13At sinabi ng Panginoon kay Moises, Bumangon kang maaga sa kinaumagahan, at tumayo ka sa harap ni Faraon, at sabihin mo sa kaniya: Ganito ang sabi ng Panginoon, ng Dios ng mga Hebreo: Payaunin mo ang aking bayan, upang ako'y mapaglingkuran nila. 14Sapagka't ngayo'y ibubugso ko na ang lahat ng aking salot sa iyong puso, at sa iyong mga lingkod, at sa iyong bayan upang iyong maalaman na walang gaya ko sa buong lupa. 15Sapagka't ngayo'y iniunat ko na ang aking kamay, upang salutin kita, at ang iyong bayan, at nawala ka na sa lupa: 16Datapuwa't totoong totoo, na dahil dito ay pinatayo kita, upang maipakilala sa iyo ang aking kapangyarihan, at upang ang aking pangalan ay mahayag sa buong lupa. 17Nagmamalaki ka pa ba laban sa aking bayan, na ayaw mo silang payaunin? 18Narito, bukas, sa ganitong oras, ay magpapaulan ako ng malakas na granizo, na kailan ma'y hindi nagkaroon sa Egipto mula nang araw na itayo hanggang ngayon. 19Ngayon nga'y magsugo ka, ipasilong mo ang iyong mga hayop at lahat ng iyong tinatangkilik sa parang; sapagka't bawa't tao at hayop na maabutan sa parang, at hindi masisilong, ay lalakpakan ng granizo at mamamatay. 20Yaong natakot sa salita ng Panginoon, sa mga lingkod ni Faraon ay nagpauwing madali ng kaniyang mga bataan at ng kaniyang hayop sa mga bahay: 21At yaong nagwalang bahala sa salita ng Panginoon ay nagpabaya ng kaniyang mga bataan at ng kaniyang kawan sa parang. 22At sinabi ng Panginoon kay Moises, Iunat mo ang iyong kamay sa dakong langit, upang magkaroon ng granizo sa buong lupain ng Egipto, na lumagpak sa tao, at sa hayop, at sa bawa't halaman sa parang sa buong lupain ng Egipto. 23At iniunat ni Moises ang kaniyang tungkod sa dakong langit; at ang Panginoo'y nagsugo ng kulog at granizo, at may apoy na lumagpak sa lupa; at ang Panginoo'y nagpaulan ng granizo sa lupain ng Egipto. 24Sa gayo'y nagkaroon ng granizo at apoy, na nagniningning sa granizo, at napakalakas, na kailan ma'y hindi nagkaroon sa buong lupain ng Egipto mula nang maging bansa. 25At sinalot ng granizo ang buong lupain ng Egipto, ang lahat na nasa parang, maging tao at maging hayop, at sinalot ng granizo ang lahat ng halaman sa parang, at binali ang lahat ng punong kahoy sa parang. 26Sa lupain lamang ng Gosen, na kinaroroonan ng mga anak ni Israel, hindi nagkaroon ng granizo. 27At si Faraon ay nagsugo, at ipinatawag si Moises at si Aaron, at sinabi sa kanila, Ako'y nagkasala ngayon: ang Panginoo'y matuwid; at ako at ang aking bayan ay masama. 28Dalanginan ninyo ang Panginoon; sapagka't nagkaroon na ng sukat na malalakas na kulog at granizo; at kayo'y aking payayaunin, at di ko na kayo bibinbinin. 29At sinabi ni Moises sa kaniya, Pagkalabas ko sa bayan, ay aking ilalahad ang aking mga kamay sa Panginoon; at ang mga kulog ay titigil, at hindi na magkakaroon pa ng anomang granizo; upang iyong maalaman na ang lupa'y sa Panginoon. 30Nguni't tungkol sa iyo at sa iyong mga lingkod, ay nalalaman ko, na di pa kayo matatakot sa Panginoong Dios. 31At ang lino at ang cebada ay nasaktan; sapagka't ang cebada ay naguuhay na at ang lino ay namumulaklak na. 32Datapuwa't ang trigo at ang espelta ay hindi nasaktan: sapagka't hindi pa tumutubo. 33At si Moises ay lumabas sa bayan na galing kay Faraon, at inilahad ang kaniyang mga kamay sa Panginoon: at ang mga kulog at ang granizo ay tumigil, at ang ulan ay di na lumagpak sa lupa. 34At nang makita ni Faraon, na ang ulan, at ang granizo, at ang mga kulog ay tumigil, ay lalong nagkasala pa, at nagmatigas ang kaniyang puso, siya at ang kaniyang mga lingkod. 35At ang puso ni Farao'y nagmatigas, at hindi niya pinayaon ang mga anak ni Israel; gaya ng sinalita ng Panginoon sa pamamagitan ni Moises.
1Then Yahweh said to Moses, “Go in to Pharaoh, and tell him, ‘This is what Yahweh, the God of the Hebrews, says: “Let my people go, that they may serve me. 2For if you refuse to let them go, and hold them still, 3behold, the hand of Yahweh is on your livestock which are in the field, on the horses, on the donkeys, on the camels, on the herds, and on the flocks with a very grievous pestilence. 4Yahweh will make a distinction between the livestock of Israel and the livestock of Egypt; and nothing shall die of all that belongs to the children of Israel.”’” 5Yahweh appointed a set time, saying, “Tomorrow Yahweh shall do this thing in the land.” 6Yahweh did that thing on the next day; and all the livestock of Egypt died, but of the livestock of the children of Israel, not one died. 7Pharaoh sent, and, behold, there was not so much as one of the livestock of the Israelites dead. But the heart of Pharaoh was stubborn, and he didn’t let the people go. 8Yahweh said to Moses and to Aaron, “Take to you handfuls of ashes of the furnace, and let Moses sprinkle it toward the sky in the sight of Pharaoh. 9It shall become small dust over all the land of Egypt, and shall be a boil breaking out with boils on man and on animal, throughout all the land of Egypt.” 10They took ashes of the furnace, and stood before Pharaoh; and Moses sprinkled it up toward the sky; and it became a boil breaking out with boils on man and on animal. 11The magicians couldn’t stand before Moses because of the boils; for the boils were on the magicians, and on all the Egyptians. 12Yahweh hardened the heart of Pharaoh, and he didn’t listen to them, as Yahweh had spoken to Moses. 13Yahweh said to Moses, “Rise up early in the morning, and stand before Pharaoh, and tell him, ‘This is what Yahweh, the God of the Hebrews, says: “Let my people go, that they may serve me. 14For this time I will send all my plagues against your heart, against your officials, and against your people; that you may know that there is no one like me in all the earth. 15For now I would have stretched out my hand, and struck you and your people with pestilence, and you would have been cut off from the earth; 16but indeed for this cause I have made you stand: to show you my power, and that my name may be declared throughout all the earth; 17as you still exalt yourself against my people, that you won’t let them go. 18Behold, tomorrow about this time I will cause it to rain a very grievous hail, such as has not been in Egypt since the day it was founded even until now. 19Now therefore command that all of your livestock and all that you have in the field be brought into shelter. Every man and animal that is found in the field, and isn’t brought home, the hail shall come down on them, and they shall die.”’” 20Those who feared Yahweh’s word among the servants of Pharaoh made their servants and their livestock flee into the houses. 21Whoever didn’t respect Yahweh’s word left his servants and his livestock in the field. 22Yahweh said to Moses, “Stretch out your hand toward the sky, that there may be hail in all the land of Egypt, on man, and on animal, and on every herb of the field, throughout the land of Egypt.” 23Moses stretched out his rod toward the heavens, and Yahweh sent thunder, hail, and lightning flashed down to the earth. Yahweh rained hail on the land of Egypt. 24So there was very severe hail, and lightning mixed with the hail, such as had not been in all the land of Egypt since it became a nation. 25The hail struck throughout all the land of Egypt all that was in the field, both man and animal; and the hail struck every herb of the field, and broke every tree of the field. 26Only in the land of Goshen, where the children of Israel were, there was no hail. 27Pharaoh sent, and called for Moses and Aaron, and said to them, “I have sinned this time. Yahweh is righteous, and I and my people are wicked. 28Pray to Yahweh; for there has been enough of mighty thunderings and hail. I will let you go, and you shall stay no longer.” 29Moses said to him, “As soon as I have gone out of the city, I will spread abroad my hands to Yahweh. The thunders shall cease, neither shall there be any more hail; that you may know that the earth is Yahweh’s. 30But as for you and your servants, I know that you don’t yet fear Yahweh God.” 31The flax and the barley were struck, for the barley was in the ear, and the flax was in bloom. 32But the wheat and the spelt were not struck, for they had not grown up. 33Moses went out of the city from Pharaoh, and spread abroad his hands to Yahweh; and the thunders and hail ceased, and the rain was not poured on the earth. 34When Pharaoh saw that the rain and the hail and the thunders were ceased, he sinned yet more, and hardened his heart, he and his servants. 35The heart of Pharaoh was hardened, and he didn’t let the children of Israel go, just as Yahweh had spoken through Moses.
1Daarna zeide de HEERE tot Mozes: Ga in tot Farao, en spreek tot hem: Alzo zegt de HEERE, de God der Hebreen: Laat Mijn volk trekken, dat het Mij diene. 2Want zo gij hen weigert te laten trekken, en gij hen nog met geweld ophoudt, 3Zie, de hand des HEEREN zal zijn over uw vee, dat in het veld is, over de paarden, over de ezelen, over de kemelen, over de runderen, en over het klein vee, door een zeer zware pestilentie. 4En de HEERE zal een afzondering maken tussen het vee der Israelieten, en tussen het vee der Egyptenaren, dat er niets sterve van al wat van de kinderen Israels is. 5En de HEERE bestemde een zekeren tijd, zeggende: Morgen zal de HEERE deze zaak in dit land doen. 6En de HEERE deed deze zaak des anderen daags; en al het vee der Egyptenaren stierf; maar van het vee der kinderen Israels stierf niet een. 7En Farao zond er heen, en ziet, van het vee van Israel was niet tot een toe gestorven. Doch het hart van Farao werd verzwaard, en hij liet het volk niet trekken. 8Toen zeide de HEERE tot Mozes en tot Aaron: Neemt gijlieden uw vuisten vol as uit den oven; en Mozes strooie die naar de hemel voor de ogen van Farao. 9En zij zal tot klein stof worden over het ganse Egypteland; en zij zal aan de mensen, en aan het vee worden tot zweren, uitbrekende met blaren, in het ganse Egypteland. 10En zij namen as uit den oven, en stonden voor Farao's aangezicht; en Mozes strooide die naar den hemel; toen werden er zweren, uitbrekende met blaren, aan de mensen en aan het vee; 11Alzo dat de tovenaars voor Mozes niet staan konden, vanwege de zweren; want aan de tovenaars waren zweren, en aan al de Egyptenaren. 12Doch de HEERE verstokte Farao's hart, dat hij naar hen niet hoorde, gelijk de HEERE tot Mozes gesproken had. 13Toen zeide de HEERE tot Mozes: Maak u morgen vroeg op, en stel u voor Farao's aangezicht, en zeg tot hem: Zo zegt de HEERE, de God der Hebreen: Laat Mijn volk trekken, dat zij Mij dienen. 14Want ditmaal zal Ik al Mijn plagen in uw hart zenden, en over uw knechten, en over uw volk, opdat gij weet, dat er niemand is gelijk Ik, op de ganse aarde. 15Want nu heb Ik Mijn hand uitgestrekt, opdat Ik u en uw volk met de pestilentie zou slaan, en dat gij van de aarde zoudt verdelgd worden. 16Maar waarlijk, daarom heb Ik u verwekt, opdat Ik Mijn kracht aan u betoonde, en opdat men Mijn Naam vertelle op de ganse aarde. 17Verheft gij uzelven nog tegen Mijn volk, dat gij het niet wilt laten trekken? 18Zie, Ik zal morgen omtrent dezen tijd een zeer zware hagel doen regenen, desgelijks in Egypte niet geweest is van dien dag af, dat het gegrond is, tot nu toe. 19En nu, zend heen, vergader uw vee, en alles wat gij op het veld hebt; alle mens en gedierte, dat op het veld gevonden zal worden, en niet in huis verzameld zal zijn, als deze hagel op hen vallen zal, zo zullen zij sterven. 20Wie onder Farao's knechten des HEEREN woord vreesde, die deed zijn knechten en zijn vee in de huizen vlieden; 21Doch die zijn hart niet zette tot des HEEREN woord, die liet zijn knechten en zijn vee op het veld. 22Toen zeide de HEERE tot Mozes: Strek uw hand uit naar den hemel, en er zal hagel zijn in het ganse Egypteland; over de mensen, en over het vee, en over al het kruid des velds in Egypteland. 23Toen strekte Mozes zijn staf naar den hemel; en de HEERE gaf donder en hagel, en het vuur schoot naar de aarde; en de HEERE liet hagel regenen over Egypteland. 24En er was hagel, en vuur in het midden des hagels vervangen; hij was zeer zwaar; desgelijks is in het ganse Egypteland nooit geweest, sedert het tot een volk geweest is. 25En de hagel sloeg, in het ganse Egypteland, alles wat op het veld was, van de mensen af tot de beesten toe; ook sloeg de hagel al het kruid des velds, en verbrak al het geboomte des velds. 26Alleen in het land Gosen, waar de kinderen Israels waren, daar was geen hagel. 27Toen schikte Farao heen, en hij riep Mozes en Aaron, en zeide tot hen: Ik heb mij ditmaal verzondigd; de HEERE is rechtvaardig; ik daarentegen en mijn volk zijn goddelozen! 28Bidt vuriglijk tot den HEERE (want het is genoeg), dat geen donder Gods noch hagel meer zij; dan zal ik ulieden trekken laten, en gij zult niet langer blijven. 29Toen zeide Mozes tot hem: Wanneer ik ter stad uitgegaan zal zijn, zo zal ik mijn handen uitbreiden voor den HEERE; de donder zal ophouden, en de hagel zal niet meer zijn; opdat gij weet, dat de aarde des HEEREN is! 30Nochtans u en uw knechten aangaande, weet ik, dat gijlieden voor het aangezicht van den HEERE God nog niet vrezen zult. 31Het vlas nu, en de gerst werd geslagen; want de gerst was in de aar, en het vlas was in den halm. 32Maar de tarwe en de spelt werden niet geslagen; want zij waren bedekt. 33Zo ging Mozes van Farao ter stad uit, en breidde zijn handen tot den HEERE; de donder en de hagel hielden op, en de regen werd niet meer uitgegoten op de aarde. 34Toen Farao zag, dat de regen en hagel, en de donder ophielden, zo verzondigde hij zich verder, en hij verzwaarde zijn hart, hij en zijn knechten. 35Alzo werd Farao's hart verstokt, dat hij de kinderen Israels niet trekken liet, gelijk als de HEERE gesproken had door Mozes.
