Deuteronómio 34

1E subiu Moisés dos campos de Moabe ao monte de Nebo, ao cume de Pisga, que está em frente de Jericó: e mostrou-lhe o SENHOR toda a terra de Gileade até Dã, 2E a todo Naftali, e a terra de Efraim e de Manassés, toda a terra de Judá até o mar mais distante; 3E a parte sul, e a campina, o vale de Jericó, cidade das palmeiras, até Zoar. 4E disse-lhe o SENHOR: Esta é a terra de que jurei a Abraão, a Isaque, e a Jacó, dizendo: À tua descendência a darei. Eu a fiz ver com teus olhos, mas não passarás ali. 5E morreu ali Moisés servo do SENHOR, na terra de Moabe, conforme o dito do SENHOR. 6E enterrou-o no vale, em terra de Moabe, em frente de Bete-Peor; e ninguém sabe seu sepulcro até hoje. 7E era Moisés de idade de cento e vinte anos quando morreu: seus olhos nunca se escureceram, nem perdeu o seu vigor. 8E choraram os filhos de Israel a Moisés nos campos de Moabe trinta dias: E assim se cumpriram os dias do choro do luto de Moisés. 9E Josué filho de Num foi cheio de espírito de sabedoria, porque Moisés havia posto suas mãos sobre ele: e os filhos de Israel lhe obedeceram, e fizeram como o SENHOR mandou a Moisés. 10E nunca mais se levantou profeta em Israel como Moisés, a quem haja conhecido o SENHOR face a face; 11Em todos os sinais e prodígios que lhe enviou o SENHOR a fazer em terra do Egito a Faraó, e a todos os seus servos, e a toda sua terra; 12E em toda aquela mão poderosa, e em todo o grande espanto que Moisés causou à vista de todo Israel.

1Moses went up from the plains of Moab to Mount Nebo, to the top of Pisgah, that is over against Jericho. Yahweh showed him all the land of Gilead, to Dan, 2and all Naphtali, and the land of Ephraim and Manasseh, and all the land of Judah, to the western sea, 3and the south, and the Plain of the valley of Jericho the city of palm trees, to Zoar. 4Yahweh said to him, “This is the land which I swore to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, saying, ‘I will give it to your seed.’ I have caused you to see it with your eyes, but you shall not go over there.” 5So Moses the servant of Yahweh died there in the land of Moab, according to Yahweh’s word. 6He buried him in the valley in the land of Moab opposite Beth Peor, but no man knows where his tomb is to this day. 7Moses was one hundred twenty years old when he died. His eye was not dim, nor his strength gone. 8The children of Israel wept for Moses in the plains of Moab thirty days, until the days of weeping in the mourning for Moses were ended. 9Joshua the son of Nun was full of the spirit of wisdom; for Moses had laid his hands on him. The children of Israel listened to him, and did as Yahweh commanded Moses. 10Since then, there has not arisen a prophet in Israel like Moses, whom Yahweh knew face to face, 11in all the signs and the wonders, which Yahweh sent him to do in the land of Egypt, to Pharaoh, and to all his servants, and to all his land, 12and in all the mighty hand, and in all the awesome deeds, which Moses did in the sight of all Israel.

1Toen ging Mozes op, uit de vlakke velden van Moab, naar den berg Nebo, op de hoogten van Pisga, welke recht tegenover Jericho is; en de HEERE wees hem dat ganse land, Gilead tot Dan toe; 2En het ganse Nafthali, en het land van Efraim en Manasse, en het ganse land van Juda, tot aan de achterste zee; 3En het Zuiden, en het effen veld der vallei van Jericho, de palmstad, tot Zoar toe. 4En de HEERE zeide tot hem: Dit is het land, dat Ik Abraham, Izak en Jakob gezworen heb, zeggende: Aan uw zaad zal Ik het geven! Ik heb het u met uw ogen doen zien, maar gij zult daarheen niet overgaan. 5Alzo stierf Mozes, de knecht des HEEREN, aldaar in het land van Moab, naar des HEEREN mond. 6En Hij begroef hem in een dal, in het land van Moab, tegenover Beth-Peor; en niemand heeft zijn graf geweten, tot op dezen dag. 7Mozes nu was honderd en twintig jaren oud, als hij stierf; zijn oog was niet donker geworden, en zijn kracht was niet vergaan. 8En de kinderen Israels beweenden Mozes, in de vlakke velden van Moab, dertig dagen; en de dagen des wenens, van den rouw over Mozes, werden voleindigd. 9Jozua nu, de zoon van Nun, was vol van den Geest der wijsheid; want Mozes had zijn handen op hem gelegd; zo hoorden de kinderen Israels naar hem, en deden gelijk als de HEERE Mozes geboden had. 10En er stond geen profeet meer op in Israel, gelijk Mozes, dien de HEERE gekend had, van aangezicht tot aangezicht, 11In al de tekenen en de wonderen, waartoe hem de HEERE gezonden heeft, om die in Egypteland te doen aan Farao, en aan al zijn knechten, en aan al zijn land; 12En in al die sterke hand, en in al die grote verschrikking, die Mozes gedaan heeft voor de ogen van gans Israel.
