1Estes são os estatutos e regulamentos que cuidareis de pôr por obra, na terra que o SENHOR o Deus de teus pais te deu para que a possuas, todos os dias que vós viverdes sobre a terra. 2Destruireis inteiramente todos os lugares onde as nações que vós herdardes serviram a seus deuses, sobre os montes altos, e sobre as colinas, e debaixo de toda árvore espessa: 3E derrubareis seus altares, e quebrareis suas imagens, e seus bosques consumireis com fogo: e destruireis as esculturas de seus deuses, e extirpareis o nome delas daquele lugar. 4Não fareis assim ao SENHOR vosso Deus. 5Mas o lugar que o SENHOR vosso Deus escolher de todas as vossas tribos, para pôr ali seu nome para sua habitação, esse buscareis, e ali ireis: 6E ali levareis vossos holocaustos, e vossos sacrifícios, e vossos dízimos, e a oferta elevada de vossas mãos, e vossos votos, e vossas ofertas voluntárias, e os primogênitos de vossas vacas e de vossas ovelhas: 7E comereis ali diante do SENHOR vosso Deus, e vos alegrareis, vós e vossas famílias, em toda obra de vossas mãos em que o SENHOR teu Deus te houver abençoado. 8Não fareis como tudo o que nós fazemos aqui agora, cada um o que lhe parece, 9Porque ainda até agora não entrastes ao repouso e à herança que vos dá o SENHOR vosso Deus. 10Mas passareis o Jordão, e habitareis na terra que o SENHOR vosso Deus vos faz herdar, e ele vos dará repouso de todos vossos inimigos ao redor, e habitareis seguros. 11E ao lugar que o SENHOR vosso Deus escolher para fazer habitar nele seu nome, ali levareis todas as coisas que eu vos mando: vossos holocaustos, e vossos sacrifícios, vossos dízimos, e as ofertas elevadas de vossas mãos, e todo o escolhido de vossos votos que houveres prometido ao SENHOR; 12E vos alegrareis diante do SENHOR vosso Deus, vós, e vossos filhos, e vossas filhas, e vossos servos, e vossas servas, e o levita que estiver em vossas povoações: porquanto não tem parte nem herança convosco. 13Guarda-te, que não ofereças teus holocaustos em qualquer lugar que vires; 14Mas no lugar que o SENHOR escolher, em uma de tuas tribos, ali oferecerás teus holocaustos, e ali farás tudo o que eu te mando. 15Contudo, poderás matar e comer carne em todas tuas povoações conforme o desejo de tua alma, segundo a bênção do SENHOR teu Deus que ele te houver dado: o impuro e o limpo a comerá, como a de corço ou de cervo: 16Salvo que sangue não comereis; sobre a terra o derramareis como água. 17Nem poderás comer em tuas povoações o dízimo de teu grão, ou de teu vinho, ou de teu azeite, nem os primogênitos de tuas vacas, nem de tuas ovelhas, nem teus votos que prometeres, nem tuas ofertas voluntárias, nem as elevadas ofertas de tuas mãos: 18Mas diante do SENHOR teu Deus as comerás, no lugar que o SENHOR teu Deus houver escolhido, tu, e teu filho, e tua filha, e teu servo, e tua serva, e o levita que está em tuas povoações: e te alegrarás diante do SENHOR teu Deus em toda obra de tuas mãos. 19Tem cuidado de não desamparar ao levita em todos os teus dias sobre tua terra. 20Quando o SENHOR teu Deus alargar teu termo, como ele te disse, e tu disseres: Comerei carne, porque desejou tua alma comê-la, conforme todo o desejo de tua alma comerás carne. 21Quando estiver longe de ti o lugar que o SENHOR teu Deus houver escolhido, para pôr ali seu nome, matarás de tuas vacas e de tuas ovelhas, que o SENHOR te houver dado, como te mandei eu, e comerás em tuas portas segundo tudo o que desejar tua alma. 22O mesmo que se come o corço e o cervo, assim as comerás: o impuro e o limpo comerão também delas. 23Somente que te esforces a não comer sangue: porque o sangue é a alma; e não hás de comer a alma juntamente com sua carne. 24Não o comerás: em terra o derramarás como água. 25Não comerás dele; para que vá bem a ti, e a teus filhos depois de ti, quando fizeres o correto aos olhos do SENHOR. 26Porém as coisas que tiveres tu consagradas, e teus votos, as tomarás, e virás ao lugar que o SENHOR houver escolhido: 27E oferecerás teus holocaustos, a carne e o sangue, sobre o altar do SENHOR teu Deus: e o sangue de teus sacrifícios será derramado sobre o altar do SENHOR teu Deus, e comerás a carne. 28Guarda e escuta todas estas palavras que eu te mando, porque vá bem a ti e a teus filhos depois de ti para sempre, quando fizeres o bom e o correto aos olhos do SENHOR teu Deus. 29Quando houver devastado diante de ti o SENHOR teu Deus as nações aonde tu vais para possuí-las, e as herdares, e habitares em sua terra, 30Guarda-te que não tropeces seguindo-as, depois que forem destruídas diante de ti: não perguntes acerca de seus deuses, dizendo: Da maneira que serviam aquelas nações a seus deuses, assim farei eu também. 31Não farás assim ao SENHOR teu Deus; porque tudo o que o SENHOR aborrece, fizeram eles a seus deuses; pois ainda a seus filhos e filhas queimavam no fogo a seus deuses. 32Cuidareis de fazer tudo o que eu vos mando: não acrescentarás a isso, nem tirarás disso.
1These are the statutes and the ordinances which you shall observe to do in the land which Yahweh, the God of your fathers, has given you to possess it, all the days that you live on the earth. 2You shall surely destroy all the places in which the nations that you shall dispossess served their gods, on the high mountains, and on the hills, and under every green tree. 3You shall break down their altars, and dash their pillars in pieces, and burn their Asherah poles with fire. You shall cut down the engraved images of their gods. You shall destroy their name out of that place. 4You shall not do so to Yahweh your God. 5But to the place which Yahweh your God shall choose out of all your tribes, to put his name there, you shall seek his habitation, and there you shall come. 6There you shall bring your burnt offerings, your sacrifices, your tithes, the wave offering of your hand, your vows, your freewill offerings, and the firstborn of your herd and of your flock. 7There you shall eat before Yahweh your God, and you shall rejoice in all that you put your hand to, you and your households, in which Yahweh your God has blessed you. 8You shall not do after all the things that we do here this day, every man whatever is right in his own eyes; 9for you haven’t yet come to the rest and to the inheritance, which Yahweh your God gives you. 10But when you go over the Jordan, and dwell in the land which Yahweh your God causes you to inherit, and he gives you rest from all your enemies around you, so that you dwell in safety; 11then it shall happen that to the place which Yahweh your God shall choose, to cause his name to dwell there, there you shall bring all that I command you: your burnt offerings, your sacrifices, your tithes, the wave offering of your hand, and all your choice vows which you vow to Yahweh. 12You shall rejoice before Yahweh your God, you, and your sons, your daughters, your male servants, your female servants, and the Levite who is within your gates, because he has no portion nor inheritance with you. 13Be careful that you don’t offer your burnt offerings in every place that you see; 14but in the place which Yahweh chooses in one of your tribes, there you shall offer your burnt offerings, and there you shall do all that I command you. 15Notwithstanding, you may kill and eat flesh within all your gates, after all the desire of your soul, according to Yahweh your God’s blessing which he has given you. The unclean and the clean may eat of it, as of the gazelle, and as of the deer. 16Only you shall not eat the blood. You shall pour it out on the earth like water. 17You may not eat within your gates the tithe of your grain, or of your new wine, or of your oil, or the firstborn of your herd or of your flock, nor any of your vows which you vow, nor your freewill offerings, nor the wave offering of your hand; 18but you shall eat them before Yahweh your God in the place which Yahweh your God shall choose, you, your son, your daughter, your male servant, your female servant, and the Levite who is within your gates. You shall rejoice before Yahweh your God in all that you put your hand to. 19Be careful that you don’t forsake the Levite as long as you live in your land. 20When Yahweh your God enlarges your border, as he has promised you, and you shall say, “I want to eat meat,” because your soul desires to eat meat; you may eat meat, after all the desire of your soul. 21If the place which Yahweh your God shall choose, to put his name there, is too far from you, then you shall kill of your herd and of your flock, which Yahweh has given you, as I have commanded you; and you may eat within your gates, after all the desire of your soul. 22Even as the gazelle and as the deer is eaten, so you shall eat of it. The unclean and the clean may eat of it alike. 23Only be sure that you don’t eat the blood; for the blood is the life. You shall not eat the life with the flesh. 24You shall not eat it. You shall pour it out on the earth like water. 25You shall not eat it; that it may go well with you, and with your children after you, when you shall do that which is right in the eyes of Yahweh. 26Only your holy things which you have, and your vows, you shall take, and go to the place which Yahweh shall choose. 27You shall offer your burnt offerings, the flesh and the blood, on the altar of Yahweh your God; and the blood of your sacrifices shall be poured out on the altar of Yahweh your God; and you shall eat the flesh. 28Observe and hear all these words which I command you, that it may go well with you, and with your children after you forever, when you do that which is good and right in Yahweh your God’s eyes. 29When Yahweh your God cuts off the nations from before you, where you go in to dispossess them, and you dispossess them, and dwell in their land; 30be careful that you are not ensnared to follow them, after that they are destroyed from before you; and that you not inquire after their gods, saying, “How do these nations serve their gods? I will do likewise.” 31You shall not do so to Yahweh your God; for every abomination to Yahweh, which he hates, have they done to their gods; for they even burn their sons and their daughters in the fire to their gods. 32Whatever thing I command you, that you shall observe to do. You shall not add to it, nor take away from it.
1Dit zijn de inzettingen en de rechten, die gijlieden zult waarnemen om te doen, in dat land, hetwelk u de HEERE, uwer vaderen God, gegeven heeft, om het te erven; al de dagen, die gijlieden op den aardbodem leeft. 2Gij zult ganselijk vernielen al de plaatsen, alwaar de volken, die gij zult erven, hun goden gediend hebben; op de hoge bergen, en op de heuvelen, en onder allen groenen boom. 3En gij zult hun altaren afwerpen, en hun opgerichte beelden verbreken, en hun bossen met vuur verbranden, en de gesneden beelden hunner goden nederhouwen; en gij zult hun naam te niet doen uit diezelve plaats. 4Gij zult den HEERE, uw God, alzo niet doen! 5Maar naar de plaats, die de HEERE, uw God, uit al uw stammen verkiezen zal, om Zijn Naam aldaar te zetten, naar Zijn woning zult gijlieden vragen, en daarheen zult gij komen; 6En daarheen zult gijlieden brengen uw brandofferen, en uw slachtofferen, en uw tienden, en het hefoffer uwer hand, en uw geloften, en uw vrijwillige offeren, en de eerstgeboorten uwer runderen en uwer schapen. 7En aldaar zult gijlieden voor het aangezicht des HEEREN, uws Gods, eten en vrolijk zijn, gijlieden en uw huizen, over alles, waaraan gij uw hand geslagen hebt, waarin u de HEERE, uw God, gezegend heeft. 8Gij zult niet doen naar alles, wat wij hier heden doen, een ieder al wat in zijn ogen recht is. 9Want gij zijt tot nu toe niet gekomen in de rust en in de erfenis, die de HEERE, uw God, u geven zal. 10Maar gij zult over de Jordaan gaan, en wonen in het land, dat u de HEERE, uw God, zal doen erven; en Hij zal u rust geven van al uw vijanden rondom, en gij zult zeker wonen. 11Dan zal er een plaats zijn, die de HEERE, uw God, verkiezen zal, om Zijn Naam aldaar te doen wonen; daarheen zult gij brengen alles, wat ik u gebiede: uw brandofferen, en uw slachtofferen, uw tienden, en het hefoffer uwer hand, en alle keur uwer geloften, die gij den HEERE beloven zult. 12En gij zult vrolijk zijn voor het aangezicht des HEEREN, uws Gods, gijlieden, en uw zonen, en uw dochteren, en uw dienstknechten, en uw dienstmaagden, en de Leviet, die in uw poorten is; want hij heeft geen deel noch erve met ulieden. 13Wacht u, dat gij uw brandofferen niet offert in alle plaats, die gij zien zult. 14Maar in de plaats, die de HEERE in een uwer stammen zal verkiezen, daar zult gij uw brandofferen offeren, en daar zult gij doen al wat ik u gebiede. 15Doch naar allen lust uwer ziel zult gij slachten en vlees eten, naar den zegen des HEEREN, uws Gods, dien Hij u geeft, in al uw poorten; de onreine en de reine zal daarvan eten, als van een ree, en als van een hert. 16Alleenlijk het bloed zult gijlieden niet eten; gij zult het op de aarde uitgieten als water. 17Gij zult in uw poorten niet mogen eten de tienden van uw koren, en van uw most, en van uw olie, noch de eerstgeboorten van uw runderen en van uw schapen, noch enige uwer geloften, die gij zult hebben beloofd, noch uw vrijwillige offeren, noch het hefoffer uwer hand. 18Maar gij zult dat eten voor het aangezicht des HEEREN, uws Gods, in de plaats, die de HEERE, uw God, verkiezen zal, gij, en uw zoon, en uw dochter, en uw dienstknecht, en uw dienstmaagd, en de Leviet, die in uw poorten is; en gij zult vrolijk zijn voor het aangezicht des HEEREN, uws Gods, over alles, waaraan gij uw handen geslagen hebt. 19Wacht u, dat gij den Leviet niet verlaat, al uw dagen in uw land. 20Wanneer de HEERE, uw God, uw landpale zal verwijd hebben, gelijk als Hij tot u gesproken heeft, en gij zeggen zult: Ik zal vlees eten; dewijl uw ziel lust heeft vlees te eten, zo zult gij vlees eten, naar allen lust uwer ziel. 21Zo de plaats, die de HEERE, uw God, verkiezen zal, om Zijn Naam aldaar te zetten, verre van u zal zijn, zo zult gij slachten van uw runderen en van uw schapen, die de HEERE u gegeven heeft, gelijk als ik u geboden heb; en gij zult eten in uw poorten, naar allen lust uwer ziel. 22Doch gelijk als een ree en een hert gegeten wordt, alzo zult gij dat eten; de onreine en de reine zullen het te zamen eten. 23Alleen houdt vast, dat gij het bloed niet eet; want het bloed is de ziel; daarom zult gij de ziel met het vlees niet eten; 24Gij zult dat niet eten; op de aarde zult gij het uitgieten als water; 25Gij zult dat niet eten; opdat het u, en uw kinderen na u, welga, als gij zult gedaan hebben, wat recht is in de ogen des HEEREN. 26Doch uw heilige dingen, die gij hebben zult, en uw geloften zult gij opnemen, en komen tot de plaats, die de HEERE verkiezen zal; 27En gij zult uw brandofferen, het vlees en het bloed, bereiden op het altaar des HEEREN, uws Gods; en het bloed uwer slachtofferen zal op het altaar des HEEREN, uws Gods, worden uitgegoten; maar het vlees zult gij eten. 28Neemt waar, en hoort al deze woorden, die ik u gebiede, opdat het u, en uw kinderen na u, welga tot in eeuwigheid, als gij zult gedaan hebben wat goed en recht is in de ogen des HEEREN, uws Gods. 29Wanneer de HEERE, uw God, voor uw aangezicht zal hebben uitgeroeid de volken, naar dewelke gij heengaat, om die erfelijk te bezitten; en gij die erfelijk zult bezitten, en in hun land wonen; 30Wacht u, dat gij niet verstrikt wordt achter hen, nadat zij voor uw aangezicht zullen verdelgd zijn; en dat gij niet vraagt naar hun goden, zeggende: Gelijk als deze volken hun goden gediend hebben, alzo zal ik ook doen. 31Gij zult alzo niet doen den HEERE, uw God; want al wat den HEERE een gruwel is, dat Hij haat, hebben zij hun goden gedaan; want zij hebben ook hun zonen en hun dochteren met vuur verbrand voor hun goden. 32Al dit woord, hetwelk ik ulieden gebiede, zult gij waarnemen om te doen; gij zult daar niet toedoen, en daarvan niet afdoen.
