1E mandou Moisés, com os anciãos de Israel, ao povo, dizendo: Guardareis todos os mandamentos que eu prescrevo hoje. 2E será que, no dia que passardes o Jordão à terra que o SENHOR teu Deus te dá, te hás de levantar pedras grandes, as quais rebocarás com cal: 3E escreverás nelas todas as palavras desta lei, quando houveres passado para entrar na terra que o SENHOR teu Deus te dá, terra que flui leite e mel, como o SENHOR o Deus de teus pais te disse. 4Será pois, quando houveres passado o Jordão, que levantareis estas pedras que eu vos mando hoje, no monte de Ebal, e as rebocarás com cal: 5E edificarás ali altar ao SENHOR teu Deus, altar de pedras: não levantarás sobre elas ferro. 6De pedras inteiras edificarás o altar do SENHOR teu Deus; e oferecerás sobre ele holocausto ao SENHOR teu Deus; 7E sacrificarás ofertas pacíficas, e comerás ali; e te alegrarás diante do SENHOR teu Deus. 8E escreverás nas pedras todas as palavras desta lei muito claramente. 9E Moisés, com os sacerdotes levitas, falou a todo Israel, dizendo: Atende e escuta, Israel: hoje és feito povo do SENHOR teu Deus. 10Ouvirás, pois, a voz do SENHOR teu Deus, e cumprirás seus mandamentos e seus estatutos, que eu te ordeno hoje. 11E mandou Moisés ao povo naquele dia, dizendo: 12Estes estarão sobre o monte de Gerizim para abençoar ao povo, quando houverdes passado o Jordão: Simeão, e Levi, e Judá, e Issacar, e José e Benjamim. 13E estes estarão para pronunciar a maldição no de Ebal: Rúben, Gade, e Aser, e Zebulom, Dã, e Naftali. 14E falarão os levitas, e dirão a todo homem de Israel em alta voz: 15Maldito o homem que fizer escultura ou imagem de fundição, abominação ao SENHOR, obra da mão de artífice, e a puser em oculto. E todo o povo responderá e dirá: Amém. 16Maldito o que desonrar a seu pai ou a sua mãe. E dirá todo o povo: Amém. 17Maldito o que reduzir o termo de seu próximo. 1Moses and the elders of Israel commanded the people, saying, “Keep all the commandment which I command you this day. 2It shall be on the day when you shall pass over the Jordan to the land which Yahweh your God gives you, that you shall set yourself up great stones, and coat them with plaster. 3You shall write on them all the words of this law, when you have passed over; that you may go in to the land which Yahweh your God gives you, a land flowing with milk and honey, as Yahweh, the God of your fathers, has promised you. 4It shall be, when you have passed over the Jordan, that you shall set up these stones, which I command you this day, on Mount Ebal, and you shall coat them with plaster. 5There you shall build an altar to Yahweh your God, an altar of stones. You shall not use any iron tool on them. 6You shall build the altar of Yahweh your God of uncut stones. You shall offer burnt offerings on it to Yahweh your God. 7You shall sacrifice peace offerings, and shall eat there. You shall rejoice before Yahweh your God. 8You shall write on the stones all the words of this law very plainly.” 9Moses and the priests the Levites spoke to all Israel, saying, “Be silence, and listen, Israel! Today you have become the people of Yahweh your God. 10You shall therefore obey Yahweh your God’s voice, and do his commandments and his statutes, which I command you this day.” 11Moses commanded the people the same day, saying, 12“These shall stand on Mount Gerizim to bless the people, when you have passed over the Jordan: Simeon, Levi, Judah, Issachar, Joseph, and Benjamin. 13These shall stand on Mount Ebal for the curse: Reuben, Gad, Asher, Zebulun, Dan, and Naphtali. 14With a loud voice, the Levites shall say to all the men of Israel, 15‘Cursed is the man who makes an engraved or molten image, an abomination to Yahweh, the work of the hands of the craftsman, and sets it up in secret.’ All the people shall answer and say, ‘Amen.’ 16‘Cursed is he who dishonors his father or his mother.’ All the people shall say, ‘Amen.’ 17‘Cursed is he who removes his neighbor’s landmark.’ All the people shall say, ‘Amen.’ 18‘Cursed is he who leads the blind astray on the road.’ All the people shall say, ‘Amen.’ 19‘Cursed is he who withholds justice from the foreigner, fatherless, and widow.’ All the people shall say, ‘Amen.’ 20‘Cursed is he who lies with his father’s wife, because he dishonors his father’s bed.’ All the people shall say, ‘Amen.’ 21‘Cursed is he who lies with any kind of animal.’ All the people shall say, ‘Amen.’ 22‘Cursed is he who lies with his sister, his father’s daughter or his mother’s daughter.’ All the people shall say, ‘Amen.’ 23‘Cursed is he who lies with his mother-in-law.’ All the people shall say, ‘Amen.’ 24‘Cursed is he who secretly kills his neighbor.’ All the people shall say, ‘Amen.’ 25‘Cursed is he who takes a bribe to kill an innocent person.’ All the people shall say, ‘Amen.’ 26‘Cursed is he who doesn’t uphold the words of this law by doing them.’ All the people shall say, ‘Amen.’”
1En Mozes, te zamen met de oudsten van Israel, gebood het volk, zeggende: Behoudt al deze geboden, die ik ulieden heden gebiede. 2Het zal dan geschieden, ten dage als gij over de Jordaan zult gegaan zijn in het land, dat u de HEERE, uw God, geven zal, zo zult gij u grote stenen oprichten, en bestrijken ze met kalk; 3En gij zult daarop schrijven alle woorden dezer wet, als gij overgegaan zult zijn; opdat gij komt in het land, dat de HEERE, uw God, u geven zal, een land vloeiende van melk en honig, gelijk als de HEERE, uwer vaderen God, tot u gesproken heeft. 4Het zal dan geschieden, als gij over de Jordaan gegaan zult zijn, dat gij dezelve stenen, van dewelke ik u heden gebiede, zult oprichten op den berg Ebal, en gij zult ze met kalk bestrijken; 5En gij zult aldaar den HEERE, uw God, een altaar bouwen, een altaar van stenen; gij zult geen ijzer over hetzelve bewegen. 6Van gehele stenen zult gij het altaar des HEEREN, uws Gods, bouwen, en gij zult den HEERE, uw God, brandofferen daarop offeren. 7Ook zult gij dankofferen offeren, en zult aldaar eten, en vrolijk zijn voor het aangezicht des HEEREN, uws Gods. 8En gij zult op deze stenen schrijven alle woorden dezer wet, die wel uitdrukkende. 9Voorts sprak Mozes, te zamen met de Levietische priesteren, tot gans Israel, zeggende: Luistert toe en hoort o Israel! Op dezen dag zijt gij den HEERE, uw God, tot een volk geworden. 10Daarom zult gij der stem des HEEREN, uws Gods, gehoorzaam zijn, en gij zult doen Zijn geboden en Zijn inzettingen, die ik u heden gebiede. 11En Mozes gebood het volk te dien dage, zeggende: 12Dezen zullen staan, om het volk te zegenen op den berg Gerizim, als gij over de Jordaan gegaan zult zijn: Simeon, en Levi, en Juda, en Issaschar, en Jozef, en Benjamin. 13En dezen zullen staan over den vloek op den berg Ebal: Ruben, Gad en Aser, Zebulon, Dan en Nafthali. 14En de Levieten zullen betuigen en zeggen tot allen man van Israel, met verhevene stem: 15Vervloekt zij de man, die een gesneden of gegoten beeld, een gruwel des HEEREN, een werk van 's werkmeesters handen, zal maken, en zetten in het verborgene! En al het volk zal antwoorden en zeggen: Amen. 16Vervloekt zij, die zijn vader of zijn moeder veracht! En al het volk zal zeggen: Amen. 17Vervloekt zij, die zijns naasten landpale verrukt! En al het volk zal zeggen: Amen. 22Vervloekt zij, die bij zijn zuster ligt, de dochter zijns vaders of de dochter zijner moeder! En al het volk zal zeggen: Amen. 23Vervloekt zij, die bij zijn schoonmoeder ligt! En al het volk zal zeggen: Amen. 24Vervloekt zij, die zijn naaste in het verborgene verslaat!
