1L’Eterno parlò ancora a Mosè dicendo: "Parla ai figliuoli d’Israele, e di’ loro: 2Io sono l’Eterno, l’Iddio vostro. 3Non farete quel che si fa nel paese d’Egitto dove avete abitato, e non farete quel che si fa nel paese di Canaan dove io vi conduco, e non seguirete i loro costumi. 4Metterete in pratica le mie prescrizioni e osserverete le mie leggi, per conformarvi ad esse. Io sono l’Eterno, l’Iddio vostro. 5Osserverete le mie leggi e le mie prescrizioni, mediante le quali chiunque le metterà in pratica, vivrà. Io sono l’Eterno. 6Nessuno si accosterà ad alcuna sua parente carnale per scoprire la sua nudità. Io sono l’Eterno. 7Non scoprirai la nudità di tuo padre, né la nudità di tua madre: è tua madre; non scoprirai la sua nudità. 8Non scoprirai la nudità della moglie di tuo padre: è la nudità di tuo padre. 9Non scoprirai la nudità della tua sorella, figliuola di tuo padre o figliuola di tua madre, sia essa nata in casa o nata fuori. 10Non scoprirai la nudità della figliuola del tuo figliuolo o della figliuola della tua figliuola, poiché è la tua propria nudità. 11Non scoprirai la nudità della figliuola della moglie di tuo padre, generata da tuo padre: è tua sorella. 12Non scoprirai la nudità della sorella di tuo padre; è parente stretta di tuo padre. 13Non scoprirai la nudità della sorella di tua madre, perch’è parente stretta di tua madre. 14Non scoprirai la nudità del fratello di tuo padre, e non t’accosterai alla sua moglie: è tua zia. 15Non scoprirai la nudità della tua nuora: è la moglie del tuo figliuolo; non scoprire la sua nudità. 16Non scoprirai la nudità della moglie di tuo fratello: è la nudità di tuo fratello. 17Non scoprirai la nudità di una donna e della sua figliuola; non prenderai la figliuola del figliuolo di lei, né la figliuola della figliuola di lei per scoprirne la nudità: sono parenti stretti: è un delitto. 18Non prenderai la sorella di tua moglie per farne una rivale, scoprendo la sua nudità insieme con quella di tua moglie, mentre questa è in vita. 19Non t’accosterai a donna per scoprir la sua nudità mentre è impura a motivo dei suoi corsi. 20Non avrai relazioni carnali con la moglie del tuo prossimo per contaminarti con lei. 21Non darai de’ tuoi figliuoli ad essere immolati a Moloc; e non profanerai il nome del tuo Dio. Io sono l’Eterno. 22Non avrai con un uomo relazioni carnali come si hanno con una donna: è cosa abominevole. 23Non t’accoppierai con alcuna bestia per contaminarti con essa; e la donna non si prostituirà ad una bestia: è una mostruosità. 24Non vi contaminate con alcuna di queste cose; poiché con tutte queste cose si son contaminate le nazioni ch’io sto per cacciare dinanzi a voi. 25Il paese n’è stato contaminato; ond’io punirò la sua iniquità; il paese vomiterà i suoi abitanti. 26Voi dunque osserverete le mie leggi e le mie prescrizioni, e non commetterete alcuna di queste cose abominevoli: né colui ch’è nativo dei paese, né il forestiere che soggiorna fra voi. 27Poiché tutte queste cose abominevoli le ha commesse la gente che v’era prima di voi, e il paese n’è stato contaminato. 28Badate che, se lo contaminate, il paese non vi vomiti come vomiterà la gente che vi stava prima di voi. 29Poiché tutti quelli che commetteranno alcuna di queste cose abominevoli saranno sterminati di fra il loro popolo. 30Osserverete dunque i miei ordini, e non seguirete alcuno di quei costumi abominevoli che sono stati seguiti prima di voi, e non vi contaminerete con essi. Io sono l’Eterno, l’Iddio vostro".
1Yahweh said to Moses, 2“Speak to the children of Israel, and say to them, ‘I am Yahweh your God. 3You shall not do as they do in the land of Egypt, where you lived: and you shall not do as they do in the land of Canaan, where I am bringing you; neither shall you walk in their statutes. 4You shall do my ordinances, and you shall keep my statutes, and walk in them: I am Yahweh your God. 5You shall therefore keep my statutes and my ordinances; which if a man does, he shall live in them. It is your father’s nakedness. 9“‘You shall not uncover the nakedness of your sister, the daughter of your father, or the daughter of your mother, whether born at home, or born abroad. 10“‘You shall not uncover the nakedness of your son’s daughter, or of your daughter’s daughter, even their nakedness: for theirs is your own nakedness. 11“‘You shall not uncover the nakedness of your father’s wife’s daughter, conceived by your father, since she is your sister. 12“‘You shall not uncover the nakedness of your father’s sister: she is your father’s near kinswoman. 13“‘You shall not uncover the nakedness of your mother’s sister: for she is your mother’s near kinswoman. 14“‘You shall not uncover the nakedness of your father’s brother, you shall not approach his wife. She is your aunt. 15“‘You shall not uncover the nakedness of your daughter-in-law: she is your son’s wife. You shall not uncover her nakedness. 16“‘You shall not uncover the nakedness of your brother’s wife. It is your brother’s nakedness. 17“‘You shall not uncover the nakedness of a woman and her daughter. You shall not take her son’s daughter, or her daughter’s daughter, to uncover her nakedness; they are near kinswomen: it is wickedness. 18“‘You shall not take a wife to her sister, to be a rival, to uncover her nakedness, while her sister is yet alive. 19“‘You shall not approach a woman to uncover her nakedness, as long as she is impure by her uncleanness. 20“‘You shall not lie carnally with your neighbor’s wife, and defile yourself with her. 21“‘You shall not give any of your children to sacrifice to Molech; neither shall you profane the name of your God. I am Yahweh. 22“‘You shall not lie with a man, as with a woman. That is detestable. 23“‘You shall not lie with any animal to defile yourself with it; neither shall any woman give herself to an animal, to lie down with it: it is a perversion. 24“‘Don’t defile yourselves in any of these things: for in all these the nations which I am casting out before you were defiled. 25The land was defiled: therefore I punished its iniquity, and the land vomited out her inhabitants. 26You therefore shall keep my statutes and my ordinances, and shall not do any of these abominations; neither the native-born, nor the stranger who lives as a foreigner among you; 27(for all these abominations have the men of the land done, that were before you, and the land became defiled); 28that the land not vomit you out also, when you defile it, as it vomited out the nation that was before you. 29“‘For whoever shall do any of these abominations, even the souls that do them shall be cut off from among their people. 30Therefore you shall keep my requirements, that you do not practice any of these abominable customs, which were practiced before you, and that you do not defile yourselves with them. I am Yahweh your God.’”
1Verder sprak de HEERE tot Mozes, zeggende: 2Spreek tot de kinderen Israels en zeg tot hen: Ik ben de HEERE, uw God! 3Gij zult niet doen naar de werken des Egyptischen lands, waarin gij gewoond hebt; en naar de werken des lands Kanaan, waarheen Ik u brenge, zult gij niet doen, en zult in hun inzettingen niet wandelen. 4Mijn rechten zult gij doen, en Mijn inzettingen zult gij houden, om in die te wandelen; Ik ben de HEERE, uw God! 5Ja, Mijn inzettingen en Mijn rechten zult gij houden; welk mens dezelve zal doen, die zal door dezelve leven; Ik ben de HEERE! 6Niemand zal tot enige nabestaande zijns vleses naderen, om de schaamte te ontdekken; Ik ben de HEERE! 7Gij zult de schaamte uws vaders en de schaamte uwer moeder niet ontdekken; zij is uw moeder; gij zult haar schaamte niet ontdekken. 8Gij zult de schaamte der huisvrouw uws vaders niet ontdekken; het is de schaamte uws vaders. 9De schaamte uwer zuster, der dochter uws vaders, of der dochter uwer moeder, te huis geboren of buiten geboren, haar schaamte zult gij niet ontdekken. 10De schaamte der dochter uws zoons, of der dochter uwer dochter, haar schaamte zult gij niet ontdekken; want zij zijn uw schaamte. 11De schaamte van de dochter der huisvrouw uws vaders, die uw vader geboren is (zij is uw zuster), haar schaamte zult gij niet ontdekken. 12Gij zult de schaamte van de zuster uws vaders niet ontdekken; zij is uws vaders nabestaande. 13Gij zult de schaamte van de zuster uwer moeder niet ontdekken; want zij is uwer moeder nabestaande. 14Gij zult de schaamte van den broeder uws vaders niet ontdekken; tot zijn huisvrouw zult gij niet naderen; zij is uw moei. 15Gij zult de schaamte uwer schoondochter niet ontdekken; zij is uws zoons huisvrouw; gij zult haar schaamte niet ontdekken. 16Gij zult de schaamte der huisvrouw uws broeders niet ontdekken; het is de schaamte uws broeders. 17Gij zult de schaamte ener vrouw en harer dochter niet ontdekken; de dochter haars zoons, noch de dochter van haar dochter zult gij nemen, om haar schaamte te ontdekken; zij zijn nabestaanden; het is een schandelijke daad. 18Gij zult ook geen vrouw tot haar zuster nemen, om haar te benauwen, mits haar schaamte nevens haar, in haar leven, te ontdekken. 19Ook zult gij tot de vrouw in de afzondering van haar onreinigheid niet naderen, om haar schaamte te ontdekken. 20En gij zult niet liggen bij uws naasten huisvrouw ter bezading, om met haar onrein te worden. 21En van uw zaad zult gij niet geven, om voor den Molech door het vuur te doen gaan; en den Naam uws Gods zult gij niet ontheiligen; Ik ben de HEERE! 22Bij een manspersoon zult gij niet liggen met vrouwelijke bijligging; dit is een gruwel. 23Insgelijks zult gij bij geen beest liggen, om daarmede onrein te worden; een vrouw zal ook niet staan voor een beest, om daarmede te doen te hebben; het is een gruwelijke vermenging. 24Verontreinigt u niet met enige van deze; want de heidenen, die Ik van uw aangezicht uitwerpe, zijn met alle deze verontreinigd; 25Zodat het land onrein is, en Ik over hetzelve zijn ongerechtigheid bezoeke, en het land zijn inwoners uitspuwt. 26Maar gij zult Mijn inzettingen en Mijn rechten onderhouden, en van al die gruwelen niets doen, inboorling noch vreemdeling, die in het midden van u als vreemdeling verkeert. 27Want de lieden dezes lands, die voor u geweest zijn, hebben al deze gruwelen gedaan; en het land is onrein geworden. 28Dat u dat land niet uitspuwe, als gij hetzelve zult verontreinigd hebben; gelijk als het het volk, dat voor u was, uitgespuwd heeft. 29Want al wie enige van deze gruwelen doen zal, die zielen, die ze doen, zullen uit het midden van haar volk uitgeroeid worden. 30Daarom zult gij Mijn bevel onderhouden, dat gij niet doet van die gruwelijke inzettingen, die voor u zijn gedaan geweest, en u daarmede niet verontreinigt; Ik ben de HEERE, uw God!
