1L’Eterno disse a Mosè: "Ora vedrai quello che farò a Faraone; perché, forzato da una mano potente, li lascerà andare; anzi, forzato da una mano potente, li caccerà dal suo paese". 2E Dio parlò a Mosè, e gli disse: 3"Io sono l’Eterno, e apparii ad Abrahamo, ad Isacco e a Giacobbe, come l’Iddio onnipotente; ma non fui conosciuto da loro sotto il mio nome di Eterno. 4Stabilii pure con loro il mio patto, promettendo di dar loro il paese di Canaan, il paese dei loro pellegrinaggi, nel quale soggiornavano. 5Ed ho anche udito i gemiti de’ figliuoli d’Israele che gli Egiziani tengono in schiavitù, e mi son ricordato del mio patto. 6Perciò di’ ai figliuoli d’Israele: Io sono l’Eterno, vi sottrarrò ai duri lavori di cui vi gravano gli Egiziani, vi emanciperò dalla loro schiavitù, e vi redimerò con braccio steso e con grandi giudizi. 7E vi prenderò per mio popolo, e sarò vostro Dio; e voi conoscerete che io sono l’Eterno, il vostro Dio, che vi sottrae ai duri lavori impostivi dagli Egiziani. 8E v’introdurrò nel paese, che giurai di dare ad Abrahamo, a Isacco e a Giacobbe; e ve lo darò come possesso ereditario: io sono l’Eterno". 9E Mosè parlò a quel modo ai figliuoli d’Israele; ma essi non dettero ascolto a Mosè, a motivo dell’angoscia dello spirito loro e della loro dura schiavitù. 10E l’Eterno parlò a Mosè, dicendo: 11"Va’, parla a Faraone re d’Egitto, ond’egli lasci uscire i figliuoli d’Israele dal suo paese". 12Ma Mosè parlò nel cospetto dell’Eterno, e disse: "Ecco, i figliuoli d’Israele non mi hanno dato ascolto; come dunque darebbe Faraone ascolto a me che sono incirconciso di labbra?" 13E l’Eterno parlò a Mosè e ad Aaronne, e comandò loro d’andare dai figliuoli d’Israele e da Faraone re d’Egitto, per trarre i figliuoli d’Israele dal paese d’Egitto. 14Questi sono i capi delle loro famiglie. Figliuoli di Ruben, primogenito d’Israele: Henoc e Pallu, Hetsron e Carmi. Questi sono i rami dei Rubeniti. 15Figliuoli di Simeone: Jemuel, Jamin, Ohad, Jakin, Tsochar e Saul, figliuolo della Cananea. Questi sono i rami dei Simeoniti. 16Questi sono i nomi dei figliuoli di Levi, secondo le loro generazioni: Gherson, Kehath e Merari. E gli anni della vita di Levi furono centotrenta sette. 17Figliuoli di Gherson: Libni e Scimei, con le loro diverse famiglie. 18Figliuoli di Kehath: Amram, Jitshar, Hebron e Uziel. E gli anni della vita di Kehath furono centotrentatre. 19Figliuoli di Merari: Mahli e Musci. Questi sono i rami dei Leviti, secondo le loro generazioni. 20Or Amram prese per moglie Iokebed, sua zia; ed ella gli partorì Aaronne e Mosè. E gli anni della vita di Amram furono centotrenta sette. 21Figliuoli di Jitshar: Kore, Nefeg e Zicri. 22Figliuoli di Uziel: Mishael, Eltsafan e Sitri. 23Aaronne prese per moglie Elisceba, figliuola di Amminadab, sorella di Nahashon; ed ella gli partorì Nadab, Abihu, Eleazar e Ithamar. 24Figliuoli di Kore: Assir, Elkana e Abiasaf. Questi sono i rami dei Koriti. 25Eleazar, figliuolo d’Aaronne, prese per moglie una delle figliuole di Putiel; ed ella gli partorì Fineas. Questi sono i capi delle famiglie dei Leviti nei loro diversi rami. 26E questo è quell’Aaronne e quel Mosè ai quali l’Eterno disse: "Fate uscire i figliuoli d’Israele dal paese d’Egitto, spartiti nelle loro schiere". 27Essi son quelli che parlarono a Faraone re d’Egitto, per trarre i figliuoli d’Israele dall’Egitto: sono quel Mosè e quell’Aaronne. 28Or avvenne, allorché l’Eterno parlò a Mosè nel paese d’Egitto, 29che l’Eterno disse a Mosè: "Io sono l’Eterno: di’ a Faraone, re d’Egitto, tutto quello che dico a te". 30E Mosè rispose, nel cospetto dell’Eterno: "Ecco, io sono incirconciso di labbra; come dunque Faraone mi porgerà egli ascolto?"

1Yahweh said to Moses, “Now you shall see what I will do to Pharaoh, for by a strong hand he shall let them go, and by a strong hand he shall drive them out of his land.” 2God spoke to Moses, and said to him, “I am Yahweh; 3and I appeared to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, as God Almighty; but by my name Yahweh I was not known to them. 4I have also established my covenant with them, to give them the land of Canaan, the land of their travels, in which they lived as aliens. 5Moreover I have heard the groaning of the children of Israel, whom the Egyptians keep in bondage, and I have remembered my covenant. 6Therefore tell the children of Israel, ‘I am Yahweh, and I will bring you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians, and I will rid you out of their bondage, and I will redeem you with an outstretched arm, and with great judgments: 7and I will take you to me for a people, and I will be to you a God; and you shall know that I am Yahweh your God, who brings you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians. 8I will bring you into the land which I swore to give to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob; and I will give it to you for a heritage: I am Yahweh.’” 9Moses spoke so to the children of Israel, but they didn’t listen to Moses for anguish of spirit, and for cruel bondage. 10Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying, 11“Go in, speak to Pharaoh king of Egypt, that he let the children of Israel go out of his land.” 12Moses spoke before Yahweh, saying, “Behold, the children of Israel haven’t listened to me. How then shall Pharaoh listen to me, who am of uncircumcised lips?” 13Yahweh spoke to Moses and to Aaron, and gave them a command to the children of Israel, and to Pharaoh king of Egypt, to bring the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt. 14These are the heads of their fathers’ houses. The sons of Reuben the firstborn of Israel: Hanoch, and Pallu, Hezron, and Carmi; these are the families of Reuben. 15The sons of Simeon: Jemuel, and Jamin, and Ohad, and Jachin, and Zohar, and Shaul the son of a Canaanite woman; these are the families of Simeon. 16These are the names of the sons of Levi according to their generations: Gershon, and Kohath, and Merari; and the years of the life of Levi were one hundred thirty-seven years. 17The sons of Gershon: Libni and Shimei, according to their families. 18The sons of Kohath: Amram, and Izhar, and Hebron, and Uzziel; and the years of the life of Kohath were one hundred thirty-three years. 19The sons of Merari: Mahli and Mushi. These are the families of the Levites according to their generations. 20Amram took Jochebed his father’s sister to himself as wife; and she bore him Aaron and Moses: and the years of the life of Amram were a hundred and thirty-seven years. 21The sons of Izhar: Korah, and Nepheg, and Zichri. 22The sons of Uzziel: Mishael, and Elzaphan, and Sithri. 23Aaron took Elisheba, the daughter of Amminadab, the sister of Nahshon, as his wife; and she bore him Nadab and Abihu, Eleazar and Ithamar. 24The sons of Korah: Assir, and Elkanah, and Abiasaph; these are the families of the Korahites. 25Eleazar Aaron’s son took one of the daughters of Putiel as his wife; and she bore him Phinehas. These are the heads of the fathers’ houses of the Levites according to their families. 26These are that Aaron and Moses, to whom Yahweh said, “Bring out the children of Israel from the land of Egypt according to their armies.” 27These are those who spoke to Pharaoh king of Egypt, to bring out the children of Israel from Egypt. These are that Moses and Aaron. 28On the day when Yahweh spoke to Moses in the land of Egypt, 29Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying, “I am Yahweh. Speak to Pharaoh king of Egypt all that I speak to you.” 30Moses said before Yahweh, “Behold, I am of uncircumcised lips, and how shall Pharaoh listen to me?”

1Toen zeide de HEERE tot Mozes: Nu zult gij zien, wat Ik aan Farao doen zal; want door een machtige hand zal hij hen laten trekken, ja, door een machtige hand zal hij hen uit zijn land drijven. 2Verder sprak God tot Mozes, en zeide tot hem: Ik ben de HEERE, 3En Ik ben aan Abraham, Izak, en Jakob verschenen, als God de Almachtige; doch met Mijn Naam HEERE ben Ik hun niet bekend geweest. 4En ook heb Ik Mijn verbond met hen opgericht, dat Ik hun geven zou het land Kanaan, het land hunner vreemdelingschappen, waarin zij vreemdelingen geweest zijn. 5En ook heb Ik gehoord het gekerm der kinderen Israels, die de Egyptenaars in dienstbaarheid houden, en Ik heb aan Mijn verbond gedacht. 6Derhalve zeg tot de kinderen Israels: Ik ben de HEERE! en Ik zal ulieden uitleiden van onder de lasten der Egyptenaren, en Ik zal u redden uit hun dienstbaarheid, en zal u verlossen door een uitgestrekten arm, en door grote gerichten; 7En Ik zal ulieden tot Mijn volk aannemen, en Ik zal u tot een God zijn; en gijlieden zult bekennen, dat Ik de HEERE uw God ben, Die u uitleide van onder de lasten der Egyptenaren. 8En Ik zal ulieden brengen in dat land, waarover Ik Mijn hand opgeheven heb, dat Ik het aan Abraham, Izak, en Jakob geven zou; en Ik zal het ulieden geven tot een erfdeel, Ik, de HEERE! 9En Mozes sprak alzo tot de kinderen Israels; doch zij hoorden naar Mozes niet, vanwege de benauwdheid des geestes, en vanwege de harde dienstbaarheid. 10Verder sprak de HEERE tot Mozes, zeggende: 11Ga heen, spreek tot Farao, den koning van Egypte, dat hij de kinderen Israels uit zijn land trekken late. 12Doch Mozes sprak voor den HEERE, zeggende: Zie, de kinderen Israels hebben naar mij niet gehoord; hoe zou mij dan Farao horen? daartoe ben ik onbesneden van lippen. 13Evenwel sprak de HEERE tot Mozes en tot Aaron, en gaf hun bevel aan de kinderen Israels, en aan Farao, den koning van Egypte, om de kinderen Israels uit Egypteland te leiden. 14Dit zijn de hoofden van ieder huis hunner vaderen: de zonen van Ruben, den eerstgeborene van Israel, zijn Hanoch en Pallu, Hezron en Charmi; dit zijn de huisgezinnen van Ruben. 15En de zonen van Simeon: Jemuel, en Jamin, en Ohad, en Jachin, en Zohar, en Saul, de zoon ener Kanaanietische; dit zijn de huisgezinnen van Simeon. 16Dit nu zijn de namen der zonen van Levi, naar hun geboorten: Gerson, en Kehath, en Merari. En de jaren des levens van Levi waren honderd zeven en dertig jaren. 17De zonen van Gerson: Libni en Simei, naar hun huisgezinnen. 18En de zonen van Kehath: Amram, en Jizhar, en Hebron, en Uzziel, en de jaren des levens van Kehath waren honderd drie en dertig jaren. 19En de zonen van Merari: Machli en Musi; dit zijn de huisgezinnen van Levi, naar hun geboorten. 20En Amram nam Jochebed, zijn moei, zich tot een huisvrouw, en zij baarde hem Aaron en Mozes; en de jaren des levens van Amram waren honderd zeven en dertig jaren. 21En de zonen van Jizhar: Korah, en Nefeg, en Zichri. 22En de zonen van Uzziel: Misael, en Elzafan, en Sithri. 23En Aaron nam zich tot een vrouw Eliseba, dochter van Amminadab, zuster van Nahesson; en zij baarde hem Nadab en Abihu, Eleazar en Ithamar. 24En de zonen van Korah waren: Assir, en Elkana, en Abiasaf; dat zijn de huisgezinnen der Korachieten. 25En Eleazar, de zoon van Aaron, nam voor zich een van de dochteren van Putiel tot een vrouw; en zij baarde hem Pinehas. Dit zijn de hoofden van de vaderen der Levieten, naar hun huisgezinnen. 26Dit is Aaron en Mozes, tot welke de HEERE zeide: Leidt de kinderen Israels uit Egypteland, naar hun heiren. 27Dezen zijn het, die tot Farao, den koning van Egypte, spraken, opdat zij de kinderen Israels uit Egypte leidden; dit is Mozes en Aaron. 28En het geschiedde te dien dage, als de HEERE tot Mozes sprak in Egypteland; 29Zo sprak de HEERE tot Mozes, zeggende: Ik ben de HEERE! spreek tot Farao, den koning van Egypte, alles, wat Ik tot u spreek. 30Toen zeide Mozes voor het aangezicht des HEEREN: Zie, ik ben onbesneden van lippen; hoe zal dan Farao naar mij horen?
