1Après le sabbat, à l’aube du premier jour de la semaine, Marie de Magdala et l’autre Marie allèrent voir le sépulcre. 2Et voici, il y eut un grand tremblement de terre ; car un ange du Seigneur descendit du ciel, vint rouler la pierre , et s’assit dessus . 3Son aspect était comme l’éclair, et son vêtement blanc comme la neige. 4Les gardes tremblèrent de peur, et devinrent comme morts. 5Mais l’ange prit la parole, et dit aux femmes : Pour vous, ne craignez pas ; car je sais que vous cherchez Jésus qui a été crucifié. 6Il n’est point ici ; il est ressuscité, comme il l’avait dit. Venez, voyez le lieu où il était couché, 7et allez promptement dire à ses disciples qu’il est ressuscité des morts. Et voici, il vous précède en Galilée : c’est là que vous le verrez. Voici, je vous l’ai dit. 8Elles s’éloignèrent promptement du sépulcre, avec crainte et avec une grande joie, et elles coururent porter la nouvelle aux disciples . 9Et voici, Jésus vint à leur rencontre, et dit : Je vous salue. Elles s’approchèrent pour saisir ses pieds, et elles se prosternèrent devant lui. 10Alors Jésus leur dit : Ne craignez pas ; allez dire à mes frères de se rendre en Galilée : c’est là qu’ils me verront. 11Pendant qu’elles étaient en chemin, quelques hommes de la garde entrèrent dans la ville, et annoncèrent aux principaux sacrificateurs tout ce qui était arrivé. 12Ceux-ci, après s’être assemblés avec les anciens et avoir tenu conseil, donnèrent aux soldats une forte somme d’argent, 13en disant : Dites : Ses disciples sont venus de nuit le dérober, pendant que nous dormions. 14Et si le gouverneur l’apprend, nous l’apaiserons, et nous vous tirerons de peine. 15Les soldats prirent l’argent, et suivirent les instructions qui leur furent données. Et ce bruit s’est répandu parmi les Juifs, jusqu’à ce jour. 16Les onze disciples allèrent en Galilée, sur la montagne que Jésus leur avait désignée. 17Quand ils le virent, ils se prosternèrent devant lui. Mais quelques-uns eurent des doutes. 18Jésus, s’étant approché, leur parla ainsi : Tout pouvoir m’a été donné dans le ciel et sur la terre. 19Allez, faites de toutes les nations des disciples, les baptisant au nom du Père, du Fils et du Saint-Esprit, 20et enseignez-leur à observer tout ce que je vous ai prescrit. Et voici, je suis avec vous tous les jours, jusqu’à la fin du monde .
1Now after the Sabbath, as it began to dawn on the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary came to see the tomb. 2Behold, there was a great earthquake, for an angel of the Lord descended from the sky, and came and rolled away the stone from the door, and sat on it. 3His appearance was like lightning, and his clothing white as snow. 4For fear of him, the guards shook, and became like dead men. 5The angel answered the women, “Don’t be afraid, for I know that you seek Jesus, who has been crucified. 6He is not here, for he has risen, just like he said. Come, see the place where the Lord was lying. 7Go quickly and tell his disciples, ‘He has risen from the dead, and behold, he goes before you into Galilee; there you will see him.’ Behold, I have told you.” 8They departed quickly from the tomb with fear and great joy, and ran to bring his disciples word. 9As they went to tell his disciples, behold, Jesus met them, saying, “Rejoice!” They came and took hold of his feet, and worshiped him. 10Then Jesus said to them, “Don’t be afraid. Go tell my brothers that they should go into Galilee, and there they will see me.” 11Now while they were going, behold, some of the guards came into the city, and told the chief priests all the things that had happened. 12When they were assembled with the elders, and had taken counsel, they gave a large amount of silver to the soldiers, 13saying, “Say that his disciples came by night, and stole him away while we slept. 14If this comes to the governor’s ears, we will persuade him and make you free of worry.” 15So they took the money and did as they were told. This saying was spread abroad among the Jews, and continues until this day. 16But the eleven disciples went into Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had sent them. 17When they saw him, they bowed down to him, but some doubted. 18Jesus came to them and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to me in heaven and on earth. 19Go,and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20teaching them to observe all things that I commanded you. Behold, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.
1En laat na de sabbat, als het begon te lichten, tegen den eersten dag der week, kwam Maria Magdalena, en de andere Maria, om het graf te bezien. 2En ziet, er geschiedde een grote aardbeving; want een engel des Heeren, nederdalende uit den hemel, kwam toe, en wentelde de steen af van de deur, en zat op denzelven. 3En zijn gedaante was gelijk een bliksem, en zijn kleding wit gelijk sneeuw. 4En uit vrees van hem zijn de wachters zeer verschrikt geworden, en werden als doden. 5Maar de engel, antwoordende, zeide tot de vrouwen: Vreest gijlieden niet; want ik weet, dat gij zoekt Jezus, Die gekruisigd was. 6Hij is hier niet; want Hij is opgestaan, gelijk Hij gezegd heeft. Komt herwaarts, ziet de plaats, waar de Heere gelegen heeft. 7En gaat haastelijk heen, en zegt Zijn discipelen, dat Hij opgestaan is van de doden; en ziet, Hij gaat u voor naar Galilea, daar zult gij Hem zien. Ziet, ik heb het ulieden gezegd. 8En haastelijk uitgaande van het graf, met vreze en grote blijdschap, liepen zij heen, om hetzelve Zijn discipelen te boodschappen. 9En als zij heengingen, om Zijn discipelen te boodschappen, ziet, Jezus is haar ontmoet, zeggende: Weest gegroet! En zij, tot Hem komende, grepen Zijn voeten, en aanbaden Hem. 10Toen zeide Jezus tot haar: Vreest niet; gaat henen, boodschapt Mijn broederen, dat zij heengaan naar Galilea, en aldaar zullen zij Mij zien. 11En als zij heengingen, ziet, enigen van de wacht kwamen in de stad, en boodschapten den overpriesters al de dingen, die geschied waren. 12En zij vergaderd zijnde met de ouderlingen, en te zamen raad genomen hebbende, gaven zij den krijgsknechten veel gelds, 13En zeiden: Zegt: Zijn discipelen zijn des nachts gekomen, en hebben Hem gestolen, als wij sliepen. 14En indien zulks komt gehoord te worden van den stadhouder, wij zullen hem tevreden stellen, en maken, dat gij zonder zorg zijt. 15En zij, het geld genomen hebbende, deden, gelijk zij geleerd waren. En dit woord is verbreid geworden bij de Joden tot op den huidigen dag. 16En de elf discipelen zijn heengegaan naar Galilea, naar den berg, waar Jezus hen bescheiden had. 17En als zij Hem zagen, baden zij Hem aan; doch sommigen twijfelden. 18En Jezus, bij hen komende, sprak tot hen, zeggende: Mij is gegeven alle macht in hemel en op aarde. 19Gaat dan henen, onderwijst al de volken, dezelve dopende in de Naam des Vaders, en des Zoons, en des Heiligen Geestes; lerende hen onderhouden alles, wat Ik u geboden heb. 20En ziet, Ik ben met ulieden al de dagen tot de voleinding der wereld.
