1Y JEHOVÁ habló á Moisés, diciendo: 2Manda á los hijos de Israel que echen del campo á todo leproso, y á todos los que padecen flujo de semen, y á todo contaminado sobre muerto: 3Así hombres como mujeres echaréis, fuera del campo los echaréis; porque no contaminen el campo de aquellos entre los cuales yo habito. 4E hiciéronlo así los hijos de Israel, que los echaron fuera del campo: como Jehová dijo á Moisés, así lo hicieron los hijos de Israel. 5Además habló Jehová á Moisés, diciendo: 6Habla á los hijos de Israel: El hombre ó la mujer que cometiere alguno de todos los pecados de los hombres, haciendo prevaricación contra Jehová, y delinquiere aquella persona; 7Confesarán su pecado que cometieron, y compensarán su ofensa enteramente, y añadirán su quinto sobre ello, y lo darán á aquel contra quien pecaron. 8Y si aquel hombre no tuviere pariente al cual sea resarcida la ofensa, daráse la indemnización del agravio á Jehová, al sacerdote, á más del carnero de las expiaciones, con el cual hará expiación por él. 9Y toda ofrenda de todas las cosas santas que los hijos de Israel presentaren al sacerdote, suya será. 10Y lo santificado de cualquiera será suyo: asimismo lo que cualquiera diere al sacerdote, suyo será. 11Y Jehová habló á Moisés, diciendo: 12Habla á los hijos de Israel, y diles: Cuando la mujer de alguno se desmandare, é hiciere traición contra él, 13Que alguno se hubiere echado con ella en carnal ayuntamiento, y su marido no lo hubiese visto por haberse ella contaminado ocultamente, ni hubiere testigo contra ella, ni ella hubiere sido cogida en el acto; 14Si viniere sobre él espíritu de celo, y tuviere celos de su mujer, habiéndose ella contaminado; ó viniere sobre él espíritu de celo, y tuviere celos de su mujer, no habiéndose ella contaminado; 15Entonces el marido traerá su mujer al sacerdote, y traerá su ofrenda con ella, la décima de un epha de harina de cebada; no echará sobre ella aceite, ni pondrá sobre ella incienso: porque es presente de celos, presente de recordación, que trae en memoria pecado. 16Y el sacerdote la hará acercar, y la hará poner delante de Jehová. 17Luego tomará el sacerdote del agua santa en un vaso de barro: tomará también el sacerdote del polvo que hubiere en el suelo del tabernáculo, y echarálo en el agua. 18Y hará el sacerdote estar en pie á la mujer delante de Jehová, y descubrirá la cabeza de la mujer, y pondrá sobre sus manos el presente de la recordación, que es el presente de celos: y el sacerdote tendrá en la mano las aguas amargas que acarrean maldición. 19Y el sacerdote la conjurará, y le dirá: Si ninguno hubiere dormido contigo, y si no te has apartado de tu marido á inmundicia, libre seas de estas aguas amargas que traen maldición: 20Mas si te has descarriado de tu marido, y te has amancillado, y alguno hubiere tenido coito contigo, fuera de tu marido: 21(El sacerdote conjurará á la mujer con juramento de maldición, y dirá á la mujer): Jehová te dé en maldición y en conjuración en medio de tu pueblo, haciendo Jehová á tu muslo que caiga, y á tu vientre que se te hinche; 22Y estas aguas que dan maldición entren en tus entrañas, y hagan hinchar tu vientre y caer tu muslo. Y la mujer dirá: Amén, amén. 23Y el sacerdote escribirá estas maldiciones en un libro, y las borrará con las aguas amargas: 24Y dará á beber á la mujer las aguas amargas que traen maldición; y las aguas que obran maldición entrarán en ella por amargas. 25Después tomará el sacerdote de la mano de la mujer el presente de los celos, y mecerálo delante de Jehová, y lo ofrecerá delante del altar: 26Y tomará el sacerdote un puñado del presente, en memoria de ella, y lo quemará sobre el altar, y después dará á beber las aguas á la mujer. 27Darále pues á beber las aguas; y será, que si fuere inmunda y hubiere hecho traición contra su marido, las aguas que obran maldición entrarán en ella en amargura, y su vientre se hinchará, y caerá su muslo; y la mujer será por maldición en medio de su pueblo. 28Mas si la mujer no fuere inmunda, sino que estuviere limpia, ella será libre, y será fecunda. 29Esta es la ley de los celos, cuando la mujer hiciere traición á su marido, y se amancillare; 30O del marido, sobre el cual pasare espíritu de celo, y tuviere celos de su mujer: presentarála entonces delante de Jehová, y el sacerdote ejecutará en ella toda esta ley. 31Y aquel varón será libre de iniquidad, y la mujer llevará su pecado.
1Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying, 2“Command the children of Israel that they put out of the camp every leper, and everyone who has an issue, and whoever is unclean by the dead. 3Both you shall put male and female outside of the camp; that they not defile their camp, in the midst of which I dwell.” 4The children of Israel did so, and put them outside of the camp; as Yahweh spoke to Moses, so did the children of Israel. 5Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying, 6“Speak to the children of Israel: ‘When a man or woman commits any sin that men commit, so as to trespass against Yahweh, and that soul is guilty; 7then he shall confess his sin which he has done, and he shall make restitution for his guilt in full, and add to it the fifth part of it, and give it to him in respect of whom he has been guilty. 8But if the man has no kinsman to whom restitution may be made for the guilt, the restitution for guilt which is made to Yahweh shall be the priest’s; besides the ram of the atonement, by which atonement shall be made for him. 9Every heave offering of all the holy things of the children of Israel, which they present to the priest, shall be his. 10Every man’s holy things shall be his: whatever any man gives the priest, it shall be his.’” 11Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying, 12“Speak to the children of Israel, and tell them: ‘If any man’s wife goes astray, and is unfaithful to him, 13and a man lies with her carnally, and it is hidden from the eyes of her husband, and is kept close, and she is defiled, and there is no witness against her, and she isn’t taken in the act; 14and the spirit of jealousy comes on him, and he is jealous of his wife, and she is defiled: or if the spirit of jealousy comes on him, and he is jealous of his wife, and she isn’t defiled: 15then the man shall bring his wife to the priest, and shall bring her offering for her: the tenth part of an ephah of barley meal. He shall pour no oil on it, nor put frankincense on it, for it is a meal offering of jealousy, a meal offering of memorial, bringing iniquity to memory. 16The priest shall bring her near, and set her before Yahweh; 17and the priest shall take holy water in an earthen vessel; and of the dust that is on the floor of the tabernacle the priest shall take, and put it into the water. 18The priest shall set the woman before Yahweh, and let the hair of the woman’s head go loose, and put the meal offering of memorial in her hands, which is the meal offering of jealousy. The priest shall have in his hand the water of bitterness that brings a curse. 19The priest shall cause her to swear, and shall tell the woman, “If no man has lain with you, and if you haven’t gone aside to uncleanness, being under your husband, be free from this water of bitterness that brings a curse. 20But if you have gone astray, being under your husband, and if you are defiled, and some man has lain with you besides your husband:” 21then the priest shall cause the woman to swear with the oath of cursing, and the priest shall tell the woman, “Yahweh make you a curse and an oath among your people, when Yahweh allows your thigh to fall away, and your body to swell; 22and this water that brings a curse will go into your bowels, and make your body swell, and your thigh fall away.” The woman shall say, “Amen, Amen.” 23“‘The priest shall write these curses in a book, and he shall blot them out into the water of bitterness. 24He shall make the woman drink the water of bitterness that causes the curse; and the water that causes the curse shall enter into her and become bitter. 25The priest shall take the meal offering of jealousy out of the woman’s hand, and shall wave the meal offering before Yahweh, and bring it to the altar. 26The priest shall take a handful of the meal offering, as its memorial, and burn it on the altar, and afterward shall make the woman drink the water. 27When he has made her drink the water, then it shall happen, if she is defiled, and has committed a trespass against her husband, that the water that causes the curse will enter into her and become bitter, and her body will swell, and her thigh will fall away: and the woman will be a curse among her people. 28If the woman isn’t defiled, but is clean; then she shall be free, and shall conceive seed. 29“‘This is the law of jealousy, when a wife, being under her husband, goes astray, and is defiled; 30or when the spirit of jealousy comes on a man, and he is jealous of his wife; then he shall set the woman before Yahweh, and the priest shall execute on her all this law. 31The man shall be free from iniquity, and that woman shall bear her iniquity.’”
1En de HEERE sprak tot Mozes, zeggende: 2Gebied den kinderen Israels, dat zij uit het leger wegzenden alle melaatsen, en alle vloeienden, en allen, die onrein zijn van een dode. 3Van het mannelijke tot het vrouwelijke zult gij hen wegzenden; tot buiten het leger zult gij hen wegzenden; opdat zij niet verontreinigen hun legers, in welker midden Ik wone. 4En de kinderen Israels deden alzo, en zonden hen tot buiten het leger; gelijk de HEERE tot Mozes gesproken had, alzo deden de kinderen Israels. 5Verder sprak de HEERE tot Mozes, zeggende: 6Spreek tot de kinderen Israels: wanneer een man of een vrouw iets van enige menselijke zonden gedaan zullen hebben, overtreden hebbende door overtreding tegen den HEERE, zo is diezelve ziel schuldig. 7En zij zullen hun zonde, welke zij gedaan hebben, belijden; daarna zal hij zijn schuld weder uitkeren, naar de hoofdsom daarvan, en derzelver vijfde deel zal hij daarboven toedoen, en zal het dien geven, aan wien hij zich verschuldigd heeft. 8Maar zo die man geen losser zal hebben, om de schuld aan hem weder uit te keren, zal die schuld, welken den HEERE weder uitgekeerd wordt, des priesters zijn; behalve den ram der verzoening, met welken hij voor hem verzoening doen zal. 9Desgelijks zal alle heffing van alle geheiligde dingen der kinderen Israels, welke zij tot den priester brengen, zijne zijn. 10En een ieders geheiligde dingen zullen zijne zijn; wat iemand den priester zal gegeven hebben, zal zijne zijn. 11Wijders sprak de HEERE tot Mozes, zeggende: 12Spreek tot de kinderen Israels, en zeg tot hen: Wanneer van iemand zijn huisvrouw zal afgeweken zijn, en door overtreding tegen hem overtreden zal hebben; 13Dat een man bij haar door bijligging des zaads zal gelegen hebben, en het voor de ogen haars mans zal verborgen zijn, en zij zich verheeld zal hebben, zijnde nochtans onrein geworden; en geen getuige tegen haar is, en zij niet betrapt is; 14En de ijvergeest over hem gekomen is, dat hij ijvert over zijn huisvrouw, dewijl zij onrein geworden is; of dat over hem de ijvergeest gekomen is, dat hij over zijn huisvrouw ijvert, hoewel zij niet onrein geworden is; 15Dan zal die man zijn huisvrouw tot den priester brengen, en zal haar offerande voor haar medebrengen, een tiende deel van een efa gerstemeel; hij zal geen olie daarop gieten, noch wierook daarop leggen, dewijl het een spijsoffer der ijveringen is, een spijsoffer der gedachtenis, dat de ongerechtigheid in gedachtenis brengt. 16En de priester zal haar doen naderen; hij zal haar stellen voor het aangezicht des HEEREN. 17En de priester zal heilig water in een aarden vat nemen; en van het stof, hetwelk op den vloer des tabernakels is, zal de priester nemen, en in het water doen. 18Daarna zal de priester de vrouw voor het aangezicht des HEEREN stellen, en zal het hoofd van de vrouw ontbloten, en zal het spijsoffer der gedachtenis op haar handen leggen, hetwelk het spijsoffer der ijveringen is; en in de hand des priesters zal dat bitter water zijn, hetwelk den vloek medebrengt. 19En de priester zal haar beedigen, en zal tot die vrouw zeggen: Indien iemand bij u gelegen heeft, en indien gij, onder uw man zijnde, niet afgeweken zijt tot onreinigheid, wees vrij van dit bitter water, hetwelk den vloek medebrengt! 20Maar zo gij, onder uw man zijnde, afgeweken zijt, en zo gij onrein geworden zijt, dat een man bij u gelegen heeft, behalve uw man: 21(Dan zal de priester die vrouw met den eed der vervloeking beedigen, en de priester zal tot die vrouw zeggen:) De HEERE zette u tot een vloek, en tot een eed, in het midden uws volks, mits dat de HEERE uw heup vervallende, en uw buik zwellende make; 22Dat ditzelve water, hetwelk de vervloeking medebrengt, in uw ingewand inga, om den buik te doen zwellen, en de heup te doen vervallen! Dan zal die vrouw zeggen: Amen, amen! 23Daarna zal de priester deze zelfde vloeken op een cedeltje schrijven, en hij zal het met het bitter water uitdoen. 24En hij zal die vrouw dat bitter water, hetwelk de vervloeking medebrengt, te drinken geven, dat het water, hetwelk de vervloeking medebrengt, in haar tot bitterheden inga. 25En de priester zal uit de hand van die vrouw het spijsoffer der ijveringen nemen, en hij zal datzelve spijsoffer voor het aangezicht des HEEREN bewegen, en zal dat op het altaar offeren. 26De priester zal ook van dat spijsoffer, deszelfs gedenkoffer, een handvol grijpen, en zal het op het altaar aansteken; en daarna zal hij dat water die vrouw te drinken geven. 27Als hij haar nu dat water zal te drinken gegeven hebben, het zal geschieden, indien zij onrein geworden is, en tegen haar man door overtreding zal overtreden hebben, dat het water, hetwelk vervloeking medebrengt, tot bitterheid in haar ingaan zal, en haar buik zwellen, en haar heup vervallen zal; en die vrouw zal in het midden van haar volk tot een vloek zijn. 28Doch indien de vrouw niet onrein geworden is, maar rein is, zo zal zij vrij zijn, en zal met zaad bezadigd worden. 29Dit is de wet der ijveringen, als een vrouw, onder haar man zijnde, zal afgeweken en onrein geworden zijn; 30Of als over en man die ijvergeest zal gekomen zijn, en hij over zijn huisvrouw zal geijverd hebben, dat hij de vrouw voor het aangezicht des HEEREN stelle, en de priester aan haar deze ganse wet volbrenge. 31En de man zal van de ongerechtigheid onschuldig zijn; maar diezelve vrouw zal haar ongerechtigheid dragen.
