1Y RESPONDIENDO Jesús, les volvió á hablar en parábolas, diciendo: 2El reino de los cielos es semejante á un hombre rey, que hizo bodas á su hijo; 3Y envió sus siervos para que llamasen los llamados á las bodas; mas no quisieron venir. 4Volvió á enviar otros siervos, diciendo: Decid á los llamados: He aquí, mi comida he aparejado; mis toros y animales engordados son muertos, y todo está prevenido: venid á las bodas. 5Mas ellos no se cuidaron, y se fueron, uno á su labranza, y otro á sus negocios; 6Y otros, tomando á sus siervos, los afrentaron y los mataron. 7Y el rey, oyendo esto, se enojó; y enviando sus ejércitos, destruyó á aquellos homicidas, y puso fuego á su ciudad. 8Entonces dice á sus siervos: Las bodas á la verdad están aparejadas; mas los que eran llamados no eran dignos. 9Id pues á las salidas de los caminos, y llamad á las bodas á cuantos hallareis. 10Y saliendo los siervos por los caminos, juntaron á todos los que hallaron, juntamente malos y buenos: y las bodas fueron llenas de convidados. 11Y entró el rey para ver los convidados, y vió allí un hombre no vestido de boda. 12Y le dijo: Amigo, ¿cómo entraste aquí no teniendo vestido de boda? Mas él cerró la boca. 13Entonces el rey dijo á los que servían: Atado de pies y de manos tomadle, y echadle en las tinieblas de afuera: allí será el lloro y el crujir de dientes. 14Porque muchos son llamados, y pocos escogidos. 15Entonces, idos los Fariseos, consultaron cómo le tomarían en alguna palabra. 16Y envían á él los discípulos de ellos, con los Herodianos, diciendo: Maestro, sabemos que eres amador de la verdad, y que enseñas con verdad el camino de Dios, y que no te curas de nadie, porque no tienes acepción de persona de hombres. 17Dinos pues, ¿qué te parece? ¿es lícito dar tributo á César, ó no? 18Mas Jesús, entendida la malicia de ellos, les dice: ¿Por qué me tentáis, hipócritas? 19Mostradme la moneda del tributo. Y ellos le presentaron un denario. 20Entonces les dice: ¿Cúya es esta figura, y lo que está encima escrito? 21Dícenle: De César. Y díceles: Pagad pues á César lo que es de César, y á Dios lo que es de Dios. 22Y oyendo esto, se maravillaron; y dejándole se fueron. 23Aquel día llegaron á él los Saduceos, que dicen no haber resurrección, y le preguntaron, 24Diciendo: Maestro, Moisés dijo: Si alguno muriere sin hijos, su hermano se casará con su mujer, y despertará simiente á su hermano. 25Fueron pues, entre nosotros siete hermanos: y el primero tomó mujer, y murió; y no teniendo generación, dejó su mujer á su hermano. 26De la misma manera también el segundo, y el tercero, hasta los siete. 27Y después de todos murió también la mujer. 28En la resurrección pues, ¿de cuál de los siete será ella mujer? porque todos la tuvieron. 29Entonces respondiendo Jesús, les dijo: Erráis ignorando las Escrituras, y el poder de Dios. 30Porque en la resurrección, ni los hombres tomarán mujeres, ni las mujeres maridos; mas son como los ángeles de Dios en el cielo. 31Y de la resurrección de los muertos, ¿no habéis leído lo que os es dicho por Dios, que dice: 32Yo soy el Dios de Abraham, y el Dios de Isaac, y el Dios de Jacob? Dios no es Dios de muertos, sino de vivos. 33Y oyendo esto las gentes, estaban atónitas de su doctrina. 34Entonces los Fariseos, oyendo que había cerrado la boca á los Saduceos, se juntaron á una. 35Y preguntó uno de ellos, intérprete de la ley, tentándole y diciendo: 36Maestro, ¿cuál es el mandamiento grande en la ley? 37Y Jesús le dijo: Amarás al Señor tu Dios de todo tu corazón, y de toda tu alma, y de toda tu mente. 38Este es el primero y el grande mandamiento. 39Y el segundo es semejante á éste: Amarás á tu prójimo como á ti mismo. 40De estos dos mandamientos depende toda la ley y los profetas. 41Y estando juntos los Fariseos, Jesús les preguntó, 42Diciendo: ¿Qué os parece del Cristo? ¿de quién es Hijo? Dícenle: De David. 43El les dice: ¿Pues cómo David en Espíritu le llama Señor, diciendo: 44Dijo el Señor á mi Señor: Siéntate á mi diestra, entre tanto que pongo tus enemigos por estrado de tus pies? 45Pues si David le llama Señor, ¿cómo es su Hijo? 46Y nadie le podía responder palabra; ni osó alguno desde aquel día preguntarle más.
1Jesus answered and spoke again in parables to them, saying, 2“The Kingdom of Heaven is like a certain king, who made a marriage feast for his son, 3and sent out his servants to call those who were invited to the marriage feast, but they would not come. 4Again he sent out other servants, saying, ‘Tell those who are invited, “Behold, I have prepared my dinner. My cattle and my fatlings are killed, and all things are ready. Come to the marriage feast!”’ 5But they made light of it, and went their ways, one to his own farm, another to his merchandise, 6and the rest grabbed his servants, and treated them shamefully, and killed them. 7When the king heard that, he was angry, and sent his armies, destroyed those murderers, and burned their city. 8“Then he said to his servants, ‘The wedding is ready, but those who were invited weren’t worthy. 9Go therefore to the intersections of the highways, and as many as you may find, invite to the marriage feast.’ 10Those servants went out into the highways, and gathered together as many as they found, both bad and good. The wedding was filled with guests. 11But when the king came in to see the guests, he saw there a man who didn’t have on wedding clothing, 12and he said to him, ‘Friend, how did you come in here not wearing wedding clothing?’ He was speechless. 13Then the king said to the servants, ‘Bind him hand and foot, take him away, and throw him into the outer darkness; there is where the weeping and grinding of teeth will be.’ 14For many are called, but few chosen.” 15Then the Pharisees went and took counsel how they might entrap him in his talk. 16They sent their disciples to him, along with the Herodians, saying, “Teacher, we know that you are honest, and teach the way of God in truth, no matter whom you teach, for you aren’t partial to anyone. 17Tell us therefore, what do you think? Is it lawful to pay taxes to Caesar, or not?” 18But Jesus perceived their wickedness, and said, “Why do you test me, you hypocrites? 19Show me the tax money.” They brought to him a denarius. 20He asked them, “Whose is this image and inscription?” 21They said to him, “Caesar’s.” Then he said to them, “Give therefore to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s, and to God the things that are God’s.” 22When they heard it, they marveled, and left him, and went away. 23On that day Sadducees (those who say that there is no resurrection) came to him. They asked him, 24saying, “Teacher, Moses said, ‘If a man dies, having no children, his brother shall marry his wife, and raise up seed for his brother.’ 25Now there were with us seven brothers. The first married and died, and having no seed left his wife to his brother. 26In the same way, the second also, and the third, to the seventh. 27After them all, the woman died. 28In the resurrection therefore, whose wife will she be of the seven? For they all had her.” 29But Jesus answered them, “You are mistaken, not knowing the Scriptures, nor the power of God. 30For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are like God’s angels in heaven. 31But concerning the resurrection of the dead, haven’t you read that which was spoken to you by God, saying, 32‘I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob?’God is not the God of the dead, but of the living.” 33When the multitudes heard it, they were astonished at his teaching. 34But the Pharisees, when they heard that he had silenced the Sadducees, gathered themselves together. 35One of them, a lawyer, asked him a question, testing him. 36“Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the law?” 37Jesus said to him, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ 38This is the first and great commandment. 39A second likewise is this, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ 40The whole law and the prophets depend on these two commandments.” 41Now while the Pharisees were gathered together, Jesus asked them a question, 42saying, “What do you think of the Christ? Whose son is he?” They said to him, “Of David.” 43He said to them, “How then does David in the Spirit call him Lord, saying, 44‘The Lord said to my Lord, sit on my right hand, until I make your enemies a footstool for your feet?’ 45“If then David calls him Lord, how is he his son?” 46No one was able to answer him a word, neither did any man dare ask him any more questions from that day forward.
1En Jezus, antwoordende, sprak tot hen wederom door gelijkenissen, zeggende: 2Het Koninkrijk der hemelen is gelijk een zeker koning, die zijn zoon een bruiloft bereid had; 3En zond zijn dienstknechten uit, om de genoden ter bruiloft te roepen; en zij wilden niet komen. 4Wederom zond hij andere dienstknechten uit, zeggende: Zegt den genoden: Ziet, ik heb mijn middagmaal bereid; mijn ossen, en de gemeste beesten zijn geslacht, en alle dingen zijn gereed; komt tot de bruiloft. 5Maar zij, zulks niet achtende, zijn heengegaan, deze tot zijn akker, gene tot zijn koopmanschap. 6En de anderen grepen zijn dienstknechten, deden hun smaadheid aan, en doodden hen. 7Als nu de koning dat hoorde, werd hij toornig, en zijn krijgsheiren zendende, heeft die doodslagers vernield, en hun stad in brand gestoken. 8Toen zeide hij tot zijn dienstknechten: De bruiloft is wel bereid, doch de genoden waren het niet waardig. 9Daarom gaat op de uitgangen der wegen, en zovelen als gij er zult vinden, roept ze tot de bruiloft. 10En dezelve dienstknechten, uitgaande op de wegen, vergaderden allen, die zij vonden, beiden kwaden en goeden; en de bruiloft werd vervuld met aanzittende gasten. 11En als de koning ingegaan was, om de aanzittende gasten te overzien, zag hij aldaar een mens, niet gekleed zijnde met een bruiloftskleed; 12En zeide tot hem: Vriend! hoe zijt gij hier ingekomen, geen bruiloftskleed aan hebbende? En hij verstomde. 13Toen zeide de koning tot de dienaars: Bindt zijn handen en voeten, neemt hem weg, en werpt hem uit in de buitenste duisternis; daar zal zijn wening en knersing der tanden. 14Want velen zijn geroepen, maar weinigen uitverkoren. 15Toen gingen de Farizeen heen, en hielden te zamen raad, hoe zij Hem verstrikken zouden in Zijn rede. 16En zij zonden uit tot Hem hun discipelen, met de Herodianen, zeggende: Meester! wij weten, dat Gij waarachtig zijt, en de weg Gods in der waarheid leert, en naar niemand vraagt; want Gij ziet den persoon der mensen niet aan; 17Zeg ons dan: wat dunkt U? Is het geoorloofd, den keizer schatting te geven of niet? 18Maar Jezus, bekennende hun boosheid, zeide: 19Gij geveinsden, wat verzoekt gij Mij? Toont Mij de schattingpenning. En zij brachten Hem een penning. 20En Hij zeide tot hen: Wiens is dit beeld en het opschrift? 21Zij zeiden tot Hem: Des keizers. Toen zeide Hij tot hen: Geeft dan den keizer, dat des keizers is, en Gode, dat Gods is. 22En zij, dit horende, verwonderden zich, en Hem verlatende, zijn zij weggegaan. 23Te dienzelfden dage kwamen tot Hem de Sadduceen, die zeggen, dat er geen opstanding is, en vraagden Hem, 24Zeggende: Meester! Mozes heeft gezegd: Indien iemand sterft, geen kinderen hebbende, zo zal zijn broeder deszelfs vrouw trouwen, en zijn broeder zaad verwekken. 25Nu waren er bij ons zeven broeders; en de eerste, een vrouw getrouwd hebbende, stierf; en dewijl hij geen zaad had, zo liet hij zijn vrouw voor zijn broeder. 26Desgelijks ook de tweede, en de derde, tot de zevende toe. 27Ten laatste na allen, is ook de vrouw gestorven. 28In de opstanding dan, wiens vrouw zal zij wezen van die zeven, want zij hebben ze allen gehad? 29Maar Jezus antwoordde en zeide tot hen: Gij dwaalt, niet wetende de Schriften, noch de kracht Gods. 30Want in de opstanding nemen zij niet ten huwelijk, noch worden ten huwelijk uitgegeven; maar zij zijn als engelen Gods in de hemel. 31En wat aangaat de opstanding der doden, hebt gij niet gelezen, hetgeen van God tot ulieden gesproken is, Die daar zegt: 32Ik ben de God Abrahams, en de God Izaks, en de God Jakobs! God is niet een God der doden, maar der levenden. 33En de scharen, dit horende, werden verslagen over Zijn leer. 34En de Farizeen, gehoord hebbende, dat Hij de Sadduceen den mond gestopt had, zijn te zamen bijeenvergaderd. 35En een uit hen, zijnde een Wetgeleerde, heeft gevraagd, Hem verzoekende, en zeggende: 36Meester! welk is het grote gebod in de wet? 37En Jezus zeide tot hem: Gij zult liefhebben den Heere, uw God, met geheel uw hart, en met geheel uw ziel, en met geheel uw verstand. 38Dit is het eerste en het grote gebod. 39En het tweede aan dit gelijk, is: Gij zult uw naaste liefhebben als uzelven. 40Aan deze twee geboden hangt de ganse wet en de profeten. 41Als nu de Farizeen samenvergaderd waren, vraagde hun Jezus, 42En zeide: Wat dunkt u van den Christus? Wiens Zoon is Hij? Zij zeiden tot Hem: Davids Zoon. 43Hij zeide tot hen: Hoe noemt Hem dan David, in de Geest, zijn Heere? zeggende: 44De Heere heeft gezegd tot Mijn Heere: Zit aan Mijn rechter hand, totdat Ik Uw vijanden zal gezet hebben tot een voetbank Uwer voeten. 45Indien Hem dan David noemt zijn Heere, hoe is Hij zijn Zoon? 46En niemand kon Hem een woord antwoorden; noch iemand durfde Hem van dien dag aan iets meer vragen.
