Ιερεμίας 35

1Ο λόγος ο γενόμενος προς τον Ιερεμίαν παρά Κυρίου εν ταις ημέραις του Ιωακείμ υιού του Ιωσίου, βασιλέως του Ιούδα, λέγων, 2Ύπαγε προς τον οίκον των Ρηχαβιτών και λάλησον προς αυτούς και φέρε αυτούς εις τον οίκον του Κυρίου, εις εν των δωματίων, και πότισον αυτούς οίνον. 3Τότε έλαβον Ιααζανίαν, τον υιόν του Ιερεμίου, υιού του Χαβασινία, και τους αδελφούς αυτού και πάντας τους υιούς αυτού και πάντα τον οίκον των Ρηχαβιτών, 4και έφερα αυτούς προς τον οίκον του Κυρίου, εις το δωμάτιον των υιών του Ανάν, υιού του Ιγδαλίου, ανθρώπου του Θεού, το οποίον ήτο πλησίον του δωματίου των αρχόντων του επί του δωματίου του Μαασίου υιού του Σαλλούμ, του φύλακος της αυλής· 5και έθεσα έμπροσθεν των υιών του οίκου των Ρηχαβιτών αγγεία πλήρη οίνου και ποτήρια, και είπα προς αυτούς, Πίετε οίνον. 6Και είπον, Δεν θέλομεν πίει οίνον· διότι Ιωναδάβ, ο υιός του Ρηχάβ, ο πατήρ ημών, προσέταξεν εις ημάς λέγων, Δεν θέλετε πίει οίνον, σεις και οι υιοί σας, εις τον αιώνα· 7ουδέ οικίαν θέλετε οικοδομήσει ουδέ σπέρμα θέλετε σπείρει ουδέ αμπελώνα θέλετε φυτεύσει ουδέ θέλετε έχει· αλλ' εν σκηναίς θέλετε κατοικεί πάσας τας ημέρας σας, διά να ζήσητε πολλάς ημέρας επί της γης, εν ή παροικείτε. 8Και υπηκούσαμεν εις την φωνήν του Ιωναδάβ, υιού του Ρηχάβ, του πατρός ημών, κατά πάντα όσα προσέταξεν εις ημάς, να μη πίωμεν οίνον πάσας τας ημέρας ημών, ημείς, αι γυναίκες ημών, οι υιοί ημών και αι θυγατέρες ημών· 9μηδέ να οικοδομήσωμεν οικίας διά να κατοικώμεν· και δεν είχομεν αμπελώνα ή αγρόν ή σπέρμα· 10αλλά κατωκήσαμεν εν σκηναίς και υπηκούσαμεν και επράξαμεν κατά πάντα όσα προσέταξεν εις ημάς Ιωναδάβ ο πατήρ ημών· 11ότε όμως Ναβουχοδονόσορ ο βασιλεύς της Βαβυλώνος ανέβη εις τον τόπον, είπομεν, Έλθετε και ας υπάγωμεν εις Ιερουσαλήμ, εξ αιτίας του στρατεύματος των Χαλδαίων και εξ αιτίας του στρατεύματος των Συρίων· και κατοικούμεν εν Ιερουσαλήμ. 12Και έγεινε λόγος Κυρίου προς τον Ιερεμίαν, λέγων, 13Ούτω λέγει ο Κύριος των δυνάμεων, ο Θεός του Ισραήλ· Ύπαγε και ειπέ προς τους ανθρώπους του Ιούδα και προς τους κατοίκους της Ιερουσαλήμ, Δεν θέλετε λάβει παιδείαν διά να ακούητε τους λόγους μου; λέγει Κύριος. 14Οι μεν λόγοι του Ιωναδάβ, υιού του Ρηχάβ, όστις προσέταξεν εις τους υιούς αυτού να μη πίνωσιν οίνον, εξετελέσθησαν· και έως της ημέρας ταύτης δεν πίνουσι, διότι υπακούουσιν εις την προσταγήν του πατρός αυτών· εγώ δε ελάλησα προς εσάς, εγειρόμενος πρωΐ και λαλών, πλην δεν μου ηκούσατε. 15Και απέστειλα προς εσάς πάντας τους δούλους μου τους προφήτας, εγειρόμενος πρωΐ και αποστέλλων, λέγων, Επιστρέψατε ήδη έκαστος από της οδού αυτού της πονηράς και διορθώσατε τας πράξεις υμών και μη υπάγετε οπίσω άλλων θεών διά να λατρεύητε αυτούς, και θέλετε κατοικήσει εν τη γη, την οποίαν έδωκα εις εσάς και εις τους πατέρας σας· αλλά δεν εκλίνατε το ωτίον σας και δεν μου εισηκούσατε. 16Επειδή οι υιοί του Ιωναδάβ υιού του Ρηχάβ εξετέλεσαν την προσταγήν του πατρός αυτών, την οποίαν προσέταξεν εις αυτούς, ο δε λαός ούτος δεν μου εισήκουσε, 17διά τούτο ούτω λέγει Κύριος ο Θεός των δυνάμεων, ο Θεός του Ισραήλ· Ιδού, θέλω φέρει επί τον Ιούδαν και επί πάντας τους κατοίκους της Ιερουσαλήμ πάντα τα κακά, τα οποία ελάλησα κατ' αυτών, διότι ελάλησα προς αυτούς και δεν ήκουσαν, και έκραξα προς αυτούς και δεν απεκρίθησαν. 18Και είπεν ο Ιερεμίας προς τον οίκον των Ρηχαβιτών, Ούτω λέγει ο Κύριος των δυνάμεων, ο Θεός του Ισραήλ· Επειδή υπηκούσατε εις την προσταγήν Ιωναδάβ του πατρός σας και εφυλάξατε πάσας τας εντολάς αυτού και εκάμετε κατά πάντα όσα προσέταξεν εις εσάς, 19διά τούτο ούτω λέγει ο Κύριος των δυνάμεων, ο Θεός του Ισραήλ· δεν θέλει λείψει άνθρωπος από του Ιωναδάβ υιού του Ρηχάβ παριστάμενος ενώπιόν μου εις τον αιώνα.

1The word which came to Jeremiah from Yahweh in the days of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah, king of Judah, saying, 2Go to the house of the Rechabites, and speak to them, and bring them into Yahweh’s house, into one of the rooms, and give them wine to drink. 3Then I took Jaazaniah the son of Jeremiah, the son of Habazziniah, and his brothers, and all his sons, and the whole house of the Rechabites; 4and I brought them into Yahweh’s house, into the room of the sons of Hanan the son of Igdaliah, the man of God, which was by the room of the princes, which was above the room of Maaseiah the son of Shallum, the keeper of the threshold. 5I set before the sons of the house of the Rechabites bowls full of wine, and cups; and I said to them, Drink wine! 6But they said, We will drink no wine; for Jonadab the son of Rechab, our father, commanded us, saying, You shall drink no wine, neither you, nor your sons, forever: 7neither shall you build house, nor sow seed, nor plant vineyard, nor have any; but all your days you shall dwell in tents; that you may live many days in the land in which you live. 8We have obeyed the voice of Jonadab the son of Rechab, our father, in all that he commanded us, to drink no wine all our days, we, our wives, our sons, or our daughters; 9nor to build houses for us to dwell in; neither have we vineyard, nor field, nor seed: 10but we have lived in tents, and have obeyed, and done according to all that Jonadab our father commanded us. 11But when Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came up into the land, we said, “Come, and let us go to Jerusalem for fear of the army of the Chaldeans, and for fear of the army of the Syrians; so we will dwell at Jerusalem.” 12Then Yahweh’s word came to Jeremiah, saying, 13Thus says Yahweh of Armies, the God of Israel: Go, and tell the men of Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem, Will you not receive instruction to listen to my words? says Yahweh. 14The words of Jonadab the son of Rechab, that he commanded his sons, not to drink wine, are performed; and to this day they drink none, for they obey their father’s commandment: but I have spoken to you, rising up early and speaking; and you have not listened to me. 15I have sent also to you all my servants the prophets, rising up early and sending them, saying, Return now every man from his evil way, and amend your doings, and don’t go after other gods to serve them, and you shall dwell in the land which I have given to you and to your fathers: but you have not inclined your ear, nor listened to me. 16Because the sons of Jonadab the son of Rechab have performed the commandment of their father which he commanded them, but this people has not listened to me; 17therefore thus says Yahweh, the God of Armies, the God of Israel: Behold, I will bring on Judah and on all the inhabitants of Jerusalem all the evil that I have pronounced against them; because I have spoken to them, but they have not heard; and I have called to them, but they have not answered. 18Jeremiah said to the house of the Rechabites, Thus says Yahweh of Armies, the God of Israel: Because you have obeyed the commandment of Jonadab your father, and kept all his precepts, and done according to all that he commanded you; 19therefore thus says Yahweh of Armies, the God of Israel: Jonadab the son of Rechab shall not want a man to stand before me forever.

1Het woord, dat tot Jeremia geschied is van den HEERE, in de dagen van Jojakim, den zoon van Josia, den koning van Juda, zeggende: 2Ga henen tot der Rechabieten huis, en spreek met hen, en breng hen in des HEEREN huis, in een der kameren, en geef hun wijn te drinken. 3Toen nam ik Jaazanja, den zoon van Jeremia, den zoon van Habazzinja, mitsgaders zijn broederen, en al zijn zonen, en het ganse huis der Rechabieten; 4En bracht hen in des HEEREN huis, in de kamer der zonen van Hanan, den zoon van Jigdalia, den man Gods; welke is bij de kamer der oversten, die daar is boven de kamer van Maaseja, den zoon van Sallum, den dorpelbewaarder. 5En ik zette den kinderen van het huis der Rechabieten koppen vol wijn en bekers voor; en ik zeide tot hen: Drinkt wijn. 6Maar zij zeiden: Wij zullen geen wijn drinken; want Jonadab, de zoon van Rechab, onze vader, heeft ons geboden, zeggende: Gijlieden zult geen wijn drinken, gij, noch uw kinderen, tot in eeuwigheid. 7Ook zult gijlieden geen huis bouwen, noch zaad zaaien, noch wijngaard planten, noch hebben; maar gij zult in tenten wonen al uw dagen; opdat gij veel dagen leeft in het land, alwaar gij als vreemdeling verkeert. 8Zo hebben wij der stemme van Jonadab, den zoon van Rechab, onzen vader, gehoorzaamd in alles, wat hij ons geboden heeft; zodat wij geen wijn drinken al onze dagen, wij, onze vrouwen, onze zonen, en onze dochteren; 9En dat wij geen huizen bouwen tot onze woning; ook hebben wij geen wijngaard, noch veld, noch zaad; 10En wij hebben in tenten gewoond; alzo hebben wij gehoord en gedaan naar alles, wat ons onze vader Jonadab geboden heeft. 11Maar het is geschied, als Nebukadrezar, de koning van Babel, naar dit land optoog, dat wij zeiden: Komt, en laat ons naar Jeruzalem trekken vanwege het heir der Chaldeen, en vanwege het heir der Syriers; alzo zijn wij te Jeruzalem gebleven. 12Toen geschiedde des HEEREN woord tot Jeremia, zeggende: 13Zo zegt de HEERE der heirscharen, de God Israels: Ga henen en zeg tot de mannen van Juda en tot de inwoners van Jeruzalem: Zult gijlieden geen tucht aannemen, dat gij hoort naar Mijn woorden? spreekt de HEERE. 14De woorden van Jonadab, den zoon van Rechab, die hij zijn kinderen geboden heeft, dat zij geen wijn zouden drinken, zijn bevestigd; want zij hebben geen wijn gedronken tot op dezen dag, maar het gebod huns vaders gehoord; en Ik heb tot ulieden gesproken, vroeg op zijnde en sprekende, maar gij hebt naar Mij niet gehoord. 15En Ik heb tot u gezonden al Mijn knechten, de profeten, vroeg op zijnde en zendende, om te zeggen: Bekeert u toch, een iegelijk van zijn bozen weg, en maakt uw handelingen goed, en wandelt andere goden niet na, om hen te dienen, zo zult gij in het land blijven, dat Ik u en uw vaderen gegeven heb; maar gij hebt uw oor niet geneigd, en naar Mij niet gehoord. 16Dewijl dan de kinderen van Jonadab, den zoon van Rechab, het gebod huns vaders, dat hij hun geboden heeft, bevestigd hebben, maar dit volk naar Mij niet hoort; 17Daarom alzo zegt de HEERE, de God der heirscharen, de God Israels: Ziet, Ik zal over Juda en over alle inwoners van Jeruzalem brengen al het kwaad, dat Ik tegen hen gesproken heb; omdat Ik tot hen gesproken heb, maar zij niet gehoord hebben, en Ik tot hen geroepen heb, maar zij niet hebben geantwoord. 18Tot het huis nu der Rechabieten zeide Jeremia: Zo zegt de HEERE der heirscharen, de God Israels: Omdat gijlieden het gebod van uw vader Jonadab zijt gehoorzaam geweest, en hebt al zijn geboden bewaard, en gedaan naar alles, wat hij ulieden geboden heeft; 19Daarom alzo zegt de HEERE der heirscharen, de God Israels: Er zal Jonadab, den zoon van Rechab, niet worden afgesneden een man, die voor Mijn aangezicht sta, al de dagen.
