Ιερεμίας 25

1Ο λόγος ο γενόμενος προς τον Ιερεμίαν περί παντός του λαού του Ιούδα εν τω τετάρτω έτει του Ιωακείμ υιού του Ιωσίου, βασιλέως τον Ιούδα, το οποίον ήτο το πρώτον έτος του Ναβουχοδονόσορ, βασιλέως της Βαβυλώνος· 2τον οποίον Ιερεμίας ο προφήτης ελάλησε προς πάντα τον λαόν του Ιούδα και προς πάντας τους κατοίκους της Ιερουσαλήμ, λέγων, 3Από του δεκάτου τρίτου έτους του Ιωσίου· υιού του Αμών, βασιλέως του Ιούδα, έως της ημέρας ταύτης, ήτις είναι το εικοστόν τρίτον έτος, ο λόγος του Κυρίου έγεινε προς εμέ και ελάλησα προς εσάς, εγειρόμενος πρωΐ και λαλών· και δεν ηκούσατε. 4Και απέστειλε Κύριος προς εσάς πάντας τους δούλους αυτού τους προφήτας, εγειρόμενος πρωΐ και αποστέλλων· και δεν ηκούσατε ουδέ εκλίνατε το ωτίον σας διά να ακροασθήτε. 5Οίτινες είπον, Στράφητε τώρα έκαστος από της οδού αυτού της πονηράς και από της κακίας των έργων σας, και κατοικήσατε επί της γης, την οποίαν ο Κύριος έδωκεν εις εσάς και εις τους πατέρας σας εις τον αιώνα του αιώνος· 6και μη πορεύεσθε οπίσω άλλων θεών, διά να λατρεύητε και να προσκυνήτε αυτούς, και μη με παροργίζετε με τα έργα των χειρών σας και δεν θέλω σας κάμει κακόν. 7Αλλά δεν μου ηκούσατε, λέγει Κύριος· διά να με παροργίσητε με τα έργα των χειρών σας προς κακόν σας. 8Διά τούτο ούτω λέγει ο Κύριος των δυνάμεων· Επειδή δεν ηκούσατε τους λόγους μου, 9ιδού, εγώ θέλω αποστείλει και λάβει πάσας τας οικογενείας του βορρά, λέγει Κύριος, και τον Ναβουχοδονόσορ βασιλέα της Βαβυλώνος· τον δούλον μου, και θέλω φέρει αυτούς επί την γην ταύτην και επί τους κατοίκους αυτής και επί πάντα ταύτα τα έθνη κύκλω, και θέλω εξολοθρεύσει αυτούς και καταστήσει αυτούς έκπληξιν και ερημώσεις αιωνίους. 10Και θέλω αφαιρέσει απ' αυτών την φωνήν της χαράς και την φωνήν της ευφροσύνης, την φωνήν του νυμφίου και την φωνήν της νύμφης, τον ήχον των μυλοπετρών και το φως του λύχνου. 11Και πάσα αύτη η γη θέλει είσθαι εις ερήμωσιν και θάμβος, και τα έθνη ταύτα θέλουσι δουλεύσει τον βασιλέα της Βαβυλώνος εβδομήκοντα έτη. 12Και όταν συμπληρωθώσι τα εβδομήκοντα έτη, θέλω ανταποδώσει επί τον βασιλέα της Βαβυλώνος και επί το έθνος εκείνο, λέγει Κύριος, την ανομίαν αυτών, και επί την γην των Χαλδαίων, και θέλω καταστήσει αυτήν ερήμωσιν αιώνιον. 13Και θέλω φέρει επί την γην εκείνην πάντας τους λόγους μου, τους οποίους ελάλησα κατ' αυτής, άπαν το γεγραμμένον εν τω βιβλίω τούτω, το οποίον ο Ιερεμίας προεφήτευσε κατά πάντων των εθνών. 14Διότι έθνη πολλά και βασιλείς μεγάλοι θέλουσι καταδουλώσει και αυτούς· και θέλω ανταποδώσει εις αυτούς κατά τας πράξεις αυτών και κατά τα έργα των χειρών αυτών. 15Διότι ούτω λέγει προς εμέ Κύριος ο Θεός του Ισραήλ, Λάβε το ποτήριον τούτο του οίνου του θυμού μου εκ της χειρός μου και πότισον εξ αυτού πάντα τα έθνη, προς τα οποία εγώ σε αποστέλλω· 16και θέλουσι πίει και θέλουσι ταραχθή και παραφρονήσει εξ αιτίας της μαχαίρας, την οποίαν εγώ θέλω αποστείλει εν μέσω αυτών. 17Τότε έλαβον το ποτήριον εκ της χειρός του Κυρίου και επότισα πάντα τα έθνη, προς τα οποία ο Κύριος με απέστειλε· 18την Ιερουσαλήμ και τας πόλεις του Ιούδα και τους βασιλείς αυτού και τους μεγιστάνας αυτού, διά να καταστήσω αυτούς ερήμωσιν, θάμβος, συριγμόν και κατάραν, καθώς την ημέραν ταύτην· 19τον Φαραώ βασιλέα της Αιγύπτου και τους δούλους αυτού και τους μεγιστάνας αυτού και άπαντα τον λαόν αυτού, 20και πάντα τον σύμμικτον λαόν και πάντας τους βασιλείς της γης Ουζ και πάντας τους βασιλείς της γης των Φιλισταίων και την Ασκάλωνα και την Γάζαν και την Ακκαρών και το υπόλοιπον της Αζώτου, 21τον Εδώμ και τον Μωάβ και τους υιούς Αμμών, 22και πάντας τους βασιλείς της Τύρου και πάντας τους βασιλείς της Σιδώνος και τους βασιλείς των νήσων των πέραν της θαλάσσης, 23την Δαιδάν και την Θαιμά και την Βουζ και πάντας τους περικείροντας την κόμην· 24και πάντας τους βασιλείς της Αραβίας και πάντας τους βασιλείς των συμμίκτων λαών των κατοικούντων εν τη ερήμω, 25και πάντας τους βασιλείς της Ζιμβρί και πάντας τους βασιλείς της Ελάμ και πάντας τους βασιλείς των Μήδων, 26και πάντας τους βασιλείς του βορρά τους μακράν και τους εγγύς, ένα μετά του άλλου, και πάντα τα βασίλεια της οικουμένης, τα επί προσώπου της γής· και ο βασιλεύς της Σησάχ θέλει πίει μετ' αυτούς. 27Διά τούτο θέλεις ειπεί προς αυτούς, Ούτω λέγει ο Κύριος των δυνάμεων, ο Θεός του Ισραήλ· Πίετε και μεθύσατε και εμέσατε και πέσετε και μη σηκωθήτε, εξ αιτίας της μαχαίρας, την οποίαν εγώ θέλω αποστείλει εν μέσω υμών. 28Και εάν δεν θελήσωσι να λάβωσι το ποτήριον εκ της χειρός σου διά να πίωσι, τότε θέλεις ειπεί προς αυτούς, Ούτω λέγει ο Κύριος των δυνάμεων· Εξάπαντος θέλετε πίει. 29Διότι ιδού, ενώ εγώ επί την πόλιν, επί της οποίας εκλήθη το όνομά μου, αρχίζω να φέρω κακόν, σεις θέλετε μείνει λοιπόν ατιμώρητοι; δεν θέλετε μείνει ατιμώρητοι, διότι εγώ θέλω καλέσει μάχαιραν επί πάντας τους κατοίκους της γης, λέγει ο Κύριος των δυνάμεων. 30Διά τούτο, συ προφήτευσον κατ' αυτών πάντας τους λόγους τούτους και ειπέ προς αυτούς, Ο Κύριος θέλει βρυχήσει εξ ύψους και εκπέμψει την φωνήν αυτού από της κατοικίας της αγιότητος αυτού· θέλει βρυχήσει δυνατά επί της κατοικίας αυτού· θέλει βοήσει ως οι ληνοπατούντες κατά πάντων των κατοίκων της γης. 31Θόρυβος θέλει φθάσει έως των περάτων της γής· διότι ο Κύριος έχει κρίσιν μετά των εθνών· αυτός διαδικάζεται μετά πάσης σαρκός· θέλει παραδώσει τους ασεβείς εις μάχαιραν, λέγει Κύριος. 32Ούτω λέγει ο Κύριος των δυνάμεων· Ιδού, κακόν θέλει εξέλθει από έθνους εις έθνος και ανεμοστρόβιλος μέγας θέλει εγερθή εκ των άκρων της γης. 33Και εν εκείνη τη ημέρα θέλουσι κοίτεσθαι τεθανατωμένοι παρά Κυρίου απ' άκρου της γης έως άκρου της γής· δεν θέλουσι θρηνολογηθή ουδέ συναχθή ουδέ ταφή· θέλουσιν είσθαι διά κοπρίαν επί της επιφανείας της γης. 34Ολολύξατε, ποιμένες, και αναβοήσατε· και κυλίσθητε εις το χώμα, οι έγκριτοι του ποιμνίου· διότι επληρώθησαν αι ημέραι σας διά την σφαγήν και διά τον σκορπισμόν σας, και θέλετε πέσει ως σκεύος εκλεκτόν. 35Και θέλει λείψει η φυγή από των ποιμένων και η σωτηρία από των εγκρίτων του ποιμνίου. 36Φωνή κραυγής των ποιμένων και ολολυγμός των εγκρίτων του ποιμνίου· διότι ο Κύριος ηφάνισε την βοσκήν αυτών. 37Και αι ειρηνικαί κατοικίαι κατηδαφίσθησαν εξ αιτίας της φλογεράς οργής του Κυρίου. 38Κατέλιπε το κατοικητήριον αυτού ως ο λέων, διότι η γη αυτών κατεστάθη έρημος εξ αιτίας της αγριότητος του καταδυναστεύοντος και εξ αιτίας του θυμού της οργής αυτού.

1The word that came to Jeremiah concerning all the people of Judah, in the fourth year of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah, king of Judah (the same was the first year of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon), 2which Jeremiah the prophet spoke to all the people of Judah, and to all the inhabitants of Jerusalem, saying: 3From the thirteenth year of Josiah the son of Amon, king of Judah, even to this day, these twenty-three years, Yahweh’s word has come to me, and I have spoken to you, rising up early and speaking; but you have not listened. 4Yahweh has sent to you all his servants the prophets, rising up early and sending them (but you have not listened, nor inclined your ear to hear) 5saying, Return now everyone from his evil way, and from the evil of your doings, and dwell in the land that Yahweh has given to you and to your fathers, from of old and even forever more; 6and don’t go after other gods to serve them or worship them, and don’t provoke me to anger with the work of your hands; and I will do you no harm. 7Yet you have not listened to me, says Yahweh; that you may provoke me to anger with the work of your hands to your own hurt. 8Therefore thus says Yahweh of Armies: Because you have not heard my words, 9behold, I will send and take all the families of the north, says Yahweh, and I will send to Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon, my servant, and will bring them against this land, and against its inhabitants, and against all these nations around; and I will utterly destroy them, and make them an astonishment, and a hissing, and perpetual desolations. 10Moreover I will take from them the voice of mirth and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom and the voice of the bride, the sound of the millstones, and the light of the lamp. 11This whole land shall be a desolation, and an astonishment; and these nations shall serve the king of Babylon seventy years. 12It shall happen, when seventy years are accomplished, that I will punish the king of Babylon, and that nation, says Yahweh, for their iniquity, and the land of the Chaldeans; and I will make it desolate forever. 13I will bring on that land all my words which I have pronounced against it, even all that is written in this book, which Jeremiah has prophesied against all the nations. 14For many nations and great kings shall make bondservants of them, even of them; and I will recompense them according to their deeds, and according to the work of their hands. 15For thus says Yahweh, the God of Israel, to me: take this cup of the wine of wrath at my hand, and cause all the nations, to whom I send you, to drink it. 16They shall drink, and reel back and forth, and be mad, because of the sword that I will send among them. 17Then took I the cup at Yahweh’s hand, and made all the nations to drink, to whom Yahweh had sent me: 18Jerusalem, and the cities of Judah, and its kings, and its princes, to make them a desolation, an astonishment, a hissing, and a curse, as it is this day; 19Pharaoh king of Egypt, and his servants, and his princes, and all his people; 20and all the mixed people, and all the kings of the land of the Uz, and all the kings of the Philistines, and Ashkelon, and Gaza, and Ekron, and the remnant of Ashdod; 21Edom, and Moab, and the children of Ammon; 22and all the kings of Tyre, and all the kings of Sidon, and the kings of the isle which is beyond the sea; 23Dedan, and Tema, and Buz, and all who have the corners of their beard cut off; 24and all the kings of Arabia, and all the kings of the mixed people who dwell in the wilderness; 25and all the kings of Zimri, and all the kings of Elam, and all the kings of the Medes; 26and all the kings of the north, far and near, one with another; and all the kingdoms of the world, which are on the surface of the earth: and the king of Sheshach shall drink after them. 27You shall tell them, Thus says Yahweh of Armies, the God of Israel: Drink, and be drunk, vomit, fall, and rise no more, because of the sword which I will send among you. 28It shall be, if they refuse to take the cup at your hand to drink, then you shall tell them, Thus says Yahweh of Armies: You shall surely drink. 29For, behold, I begin to work evil at the city which is called by my name; and should you be utterly unpunished? You shall not be unpunished; for I will call for a sword on all the inhabitants of the earth, says Yahweh of Armies. 30Therefore prophesy you against them all these words, and tell them, Yahweh will roar from on high, and utter his voice from his holy habitation; he will mightily roar against his fold; he will give a shout, as those who tread grapes, against all the inhabitants of the earth. 31A noise shall come even to the end of the earth; for Yahweh has a controversy with the nations; he will enter into judgment with all flesh: as for the wicked, he will give them to the sword, says Yahweh. 32Thus says Yahweh of Armies, Behold, evil shall go out from nation to nation, and a great storm shall be raised up from the uttermost parts of the earth. 33The slain of Yahweh shall be at that day from one end of the earth even to the other end of the earth: they shall not be lamented, neither gathered, nor buried; they shall be dung on the surface of the ground. 34Wail, you shepherds, and cry; and wallow in dust, you principal of the flock; for the days of your slaughter and of your dispersions are fully come, and you shall fall like a goodly vessel. 35The shepherds shall have no way to flee, nor the principal of the flock to escape. 36A voice of the cry of the shepherds, and the wailing of the principal of the flock! for Yahweh lays waste their pasture. 37The peaceable folds are brought to silence because of the fierce anger of Yahweh. 38He has left his covert, as the lion; for their land has become an astonishment because of the fierceness of the oppression, and because of his fierce anger.

1Het woord, dat tot Jeremia geschied is over het ganse volk van Juda, in het vierde jaar van Jojakim, zoon van Josia, koning van Juda (dit was het eerste jaar van Nebukadrezar, koning van Babel); 2Hetwelk de profeet Jeremia gesproken heeft tot het ganse volk van Juda, en tot al de inwoners van Jeruzalem, zeggende: 3Van het dertiende jaar van Josia, den zoon van Amon, den koning van Juda, tot op dezen dag toe (dit is het drie en twintigste jaar) is het woord des HEEREN tot mij geschied; en ik heb tot ulieden gesproken, vroeg op zijnde en sprekende, maar gij hebt niet gehoord. 4Ook heeft de HEERE tot u gezonden al Zijn knechten, de profeten, vroeg op zijnde en zendende (maar gij hebt niet gehoord, noch uw oor geneigd om te horen); 5Zeggende: Bekeert u toch, een iegelijk van zijn bozen weg, en van de boosheid uwer handelingen, en woont in het land, dat de HEERE u en uw vaderen gegeven heeft, van eeuw tot eeuw; 6En wandelt andere goden niet na, om die te dienen, en u voor die neder te buigen; en vertoornt Mij niet door uwer handen werk, opdat Ik u geen kwaad doe. 7Maar gij hebt naar Mij niet gehoord, spreekt de HEERE; opdat gij Mij vertoorndet door het werk uwer handen, u zelven ten kwade. 8Daarom, zo zegt de HEERE der heirscharen; Omdat gij Mijn woorden niet hebt gehoord; 9Ziet, Ik zal zenden, en nemen alle geslachten van het noorden, spreekt de HEERE; en tot Nebukadrezar, den koning van Babel, Mijn knecht; en zal ze brengen over dit land, en over de inwoners van hetzelve, en over al deze volken rondom; en Ik zal ze verbannen, en zal ze stellen tot een ontzetting, en tot een aanfluiting, en tot eeuwige woestheden. 10En Ik zal van hen doen vergaan de stem der vrolijkheid en de stem de vreugde, de stem des bruidegoms en de stem der bruid, het geluid der molens en het licht der lamp. 11En dit ganse land zal worden tot een woestheid, tot een ontzetting; en deze volken zullen den koning van Babel dienen zeventig jaren. 12Maar het zal geschieden, als de zeventig jaren vervuld zijn, dan zal Ik over den koning van Babel, en over dat volk, spreekt de HEERE, hun ongerechtigheid bezoeken, mitsgaders over het land der Chaldeen, en zal dat stellen tot eeuwige verwoestingen. 13En Ik zal over dat land brengen al Mijn woorden, die Ik daarover gesproken heb; al wat in dit boek geschreven is, wat Jeremia geprofeteerd heeft over al deze volken. 14Want van hen zullen zich doen dienen, die ook machtige volken en grote koningen zijn; alzo zal Ik hun vergelden naar hun doen, en naar het werk hunner handen. 15Want alzo heeft de HEERE, de God Israels, tot mij gezegd: Neem dezen beker des wijns der grimmigheid van Mijn hand, en geef dien te drinken al den volken, tot welke Ik u zende; 16Dat zij drinken, en beven, en dol worden, vanwege het zwaard, dat Ik onder hen zal zenden. 17En ik nam den beker van des HEEREN hand, en ik gaf te drinken al den volken, tot welke de HEERE mij gezonden had; 18Namelijk Jeruzalem en de steden van Juda, en haar koningen, en haar vorsten; om die te stellen tot een woestheid, tot een ontzetting, tot een aanfluiting en tot een vloek, gelijk het is te dezen dage; 19Farao, den koning van Egypte, en zijn knechten, en zijn vorsten, en al zijn volk; 20En den gansen gemengden hoop, en allen koningen des lands van Uz; en allen koningen van der Filistijnen land, en Askelon, en Gaza, en Ekron, en het overblijfsel van Asdod; 21Edom, en Moab, en den kinderen Ammons; 22En allen koningen van Tyrus, en allen koningen van Sidon; en den koningen der eilanden, die aan gene zijde der zee zijn. 23Dedan, en Thema, en Buz, en allen, die aan de hoeken afgekort zijn; 24En allen koningen van Arabie; en allen koningen des gemengden hoops, die in de woestijn wonen; 25En allen koningen van Zimri, en allen koningen van Elam, en allen koningen van Medie; 26En allen koningen van het noorden, die nabij en die verre zijn, den een met den anderen; ja, allen koninkrijken der aarde, die op den aardbodem zijn. En de koning van Sesach zal na hen drinken. 27Gij zult dan tot hen zeggen: Zo zegt de HEERE der heirscharen, de God Israels: Drinkt, en wordt dronken, en spuwt, en valt neder, dat gij niet weder opstaat, vanwege het zwaard, dat Ik onder u zal zenden. 28En het zal geschieden, wanneer zij weigeren zullen den beker van uw hand te nemen om te drinken, dat gij tot hen zeggen zult: Zo zegt de HEERE der heirscharen: Gij zult zekerlijk drinken! 29Want ziet, in de stad, die naar Mijn Naam genoemd is, begin Ik te plagen, en zoudt gij enigszins onschuldig gehouden worden? Gij zult niet onschuldig gehouden worden; want Ik roep het zwaard over alle inwoners der aarde, spreekt de HEERE der heirscharen. 30Gij zult dan al deze woorden tot hen profeteren, en gij zult tot hen zeggen: De HEERE zal brullen uit de hoogte, en Zijn stem verheffen uit de woning Zijner heiligheid; Hij zal schrikkelijk brullen over Zijn woonstede; Hij zal een vreugdegeschrei, als de druiven treders, uitroepen tegen alle inwoners der aarde. 31Het geschal zal komen tot aan het einde der aarde; want de HEERE heeft een twist met de volken, Hij zal gericht houden met alle vlees; de goddelozen heeft Hij aan het zwaard overgegeven, spreekt de HEERE. 32Zo zegt de HEERE der heirscharen: Ziet, een kwaad gaat er uit van volk tot volk. en een groot onweder zal er verwekt worden van de zijden der aarde. 33En de verslagenen des HEEREN zullen te dien dage liggen van het ene einde der aarde tot aan het andere einde der aarde; zij zullen niet beklaagd, noch opgenomen, noch begraven worden; tot mest op den aardbodem zullen zij zijn. 34Huilt, gij herders! en schreeuwt, en wentelt u in de as, gij heerlijken van de kudde! want uw dagen zijn vervuld, dat men slachten zal, en van uw verstrooiingen, dan zult gij vervallen als een kostelijk vat. 35En de vlucht zal vergaan van de herders, en de ontkoming van de heerlijken der kudde. 36Er zal zijn een stem des geroeps der herderen, en een gehuil der heerlijken van de kudde, omdat de HEERE hun weide verstoort. 37Want de landouwen des vredes zullen uitgeroeid worden, vanwege de hittigheid des toorns des HEEREN. 38Hij heeft, als een jonge leeuw, Zijn hutte verlaten; want hunlieder land is geworden tot een verwoesting, vanwege de hittigheid des verdrukkers, ja, vanwege de hittigheid Zijns toorns.
