1Και έφεραν την κιβωτόν του Θεού και έθεσαν αυτήν εν τω μέσω της σκηνής, την οποίαν έστησε δι' αυτήν ο Δαβίδ· και προσέφεραν ολοκαυτώματα και ειρηνικάς προσφοράς ενώπιον του Θεού. 2Και αφού ετελείωσεν ο Δαβίδ προσφέρων τα ολοκαυτώματα και τας ειρηνικάς προσφοράς, ευλόγησε τον λαόν εν ονόματι Κυρίου. 3Και διεμοίρασεν εις πάντα άνθρωπον εκ του Ισραήλ, από ανδρός έως γυναικός, εις έκαστον εν ψωμίον και εν τμήμα κρέατος και μίαν φιάλην οίνου. 4Και διώρισεν εκ των Λευϊτών διά να λειτουργώσιν έμπροσθεν της κιβωτού του Κυρίου, και να μνημονεύωσι και να ευχαριστώσι και να υμνώσι Κύριον τον Θεόν του Ισραήλ· 5τον Ασάφ πρώτον, και δεύτερον αυτού τον Ζαχαρίαν, έπειτα τον Ιεϊήλ και Σεμιραμώθ και Ιεχιήλ και Ματταθίαν και Ελιάβ και Βεναΐαν και Ωβήδ-εδώμ· και ο μεν Ιεϊήλ ήχει εν ψαλτηρίοις και κιθάραις, ο δε Ασάφ εν κυμβάλοις· 6ο Βεναΐας δε και ο Ιααζιήλ, οι ιερείς, εν σάλπιγξι πάντοτε έμπροσθεν της κιβωτού της διαθήκης του Θεού. 7Τότε πρώτον την ημέραν εκείνην παρέδωκεν ο Δαβίδ εις την χείρα του Ασάφ και των αδελφών αυτού τον ψαλμόν τούτον, διά να δοξολογήση τον Κύριον· 8Δοξολογείτε τον Κύριον· επικαλείσθε το όνομα αυτού· κάμετε γνωστά εις τα έθνη τα έργα αυτού. 9Ψάλλετε εις αυτόν· ψαλμωδείτε εις αυτόν· λαλείτε περί πάντων των θαυμασίων αυτού. 10Καυχάσθε εις το άγιον αυτού όνομα· ας ευφραίνηται η καρδία των εκζητούντων τον Κύριον. 11Ζητείτε τον Κύριον και την δύναμιν αυτού· εκζητείτε το πρόσωπον αυτού διαπαντός. 12Μνημονεύετε των θαυμασίων αυτού τα οποία έκαμε, των τεραστίων αυτού και των κρίσεων του στόματος αυτού, 13Σπέρμα Ισραήλ του δούλου αυτού, υιοί Ιακώβ, οι εκλεκτοί αυτού. 14Αυτός είναι Κύριος ο Θεός ημών· εν πάση τη γη είναι αι κρίσεις αυτού. 15Μνημονεύετε πάντοτε της διαθήκης αυτού, του λόγου τον οποίον προσέταξεν εις χιλίας γενεάς· 16της διαθήκης την οποίαν έκαμε προς τον Αβραάμ, και τον όρκον αυτού προς τον Ισαάκ· 17Και εβεβαίωσεν αυτόν προς τον Ιακώβ διά νόμον, προς τον Ισραήλ διά διαθήκην αιώνιον. 18Λέγων, εις σε θέλω δώσει την γην Χαναάν, μερίδα της κληρονομίας σας. 19Ενώ σεις ήσθε ολιγοστοί τον αριθμόν, ολίγοι και πάροικοι εν αυτή, 20και διήρχοντο από έθνους εις έθνος και από βασιλείου εις άλλον λαόν, 21δεν αφήκεν άνθρωπον να αδικήση αυτούς· μάλιστα υπέρ αυτών ήλεγξε βασιλείς, 22λέγων, Μη εγγίσητε τους κεχρισμένους μου, και μη κακοποιήσητε τους προφήτας μου. 23Ψάλλετε εις τον Κύριον, πάσα η γή· κηρύττετε από ημέρας εις ημέραν την σωτηρίαν αυτού. 24Αναγγείλατε εις τα έθνη την δόξαν αυτού, εις πάντας τους λαούς τα θαυμάσια αυτού. 25Διότι μέγας είναι ο Κύριος και αξιΰμνητος σφόδρα, και είναι φοβερός υπέρ πάντας τους θεούς. 26Διότι πάντες οι θεοί των εθνών είναι είδωλα· ο δε Κύριος τους ουρανούς εποίησε. 27Δόξα και μεγαλοπρέπεια είναι ενώπιον αυτού· ισχύς και αγαλλίασις εν τω τόπω αυτού. 28Απόδοτε εις τον Κύριον, πατριαί των λαών, απόδοτε εις τον Κύριον δόξαν και κράτος. 29Απόδοτε εις τον Κύριον την δόξαν του ονόματος αυτού· λάβετε προσφοράς και έλθετε ενώπιον αυτού· προσκυνήσατε τον Κύριον εν τω μεγαλοπρεπεί αγιαστηρίω αυτού. 30Φοβείσθε από προσώπου αυτού, πάσα η γή· η οικουμένη θέλει βεβαίως είσθαι εστερεωμένη, δεν θέλει σαλευθή. 31Ας ευφραίνωνται οι ουρανοί, και ας αγάλλεται η γή· και ας λέγωσι μεταξύ των εθνών, Ο Κύριος βασιλεύει. 32Ας ηχή η θάλασσα και το πλήρωμα αυτής· ας χαίρωσιν αι πεδιάδες και πάντα τα εν αυταίς. 33Τότε θέλουσιν αγάλλεσθαι τα δένδρα του δάσους εν τη παρουσία του Κυρίου· διότι έρχεται διά να κρίνη την γην. 34Δοξολογείτε τον Κύριον· διότι είναι αγαθός· διότι το έλεος αυτού μένει εις τον αιώνα. 35Και είπατε, Σώσον ημάς, Θεέ της σωτηρίας ημών, και συνάγαγε ημάς και ελευθέρωσον ημάς εκ των εθνών, διά να δοξολογώμεν το όνομά σου το άγιον, και να καυχώμεθα εις την αίνεσίν σου. 36Ευλογητός Κύριος ο Θεός του Ισραήλ απ' αιώνος και έως αιώνος. Και πας ο λαός είπεν, Αμήν, και ήνεσε τον Κύριον. 37Τότε αφήκεν εκεί έμπροσθεν της κιβωτού της διαθήκης του Κυρίου τον Ασάφ και τους αδελφούς αυτού, διά να λειτουργώσιν έμπροσθεν της κιβωτού πάντοτε, κατά το απαιτούμενον εκάστης ημέρας· 38και τον Ωβήβ-εδώμ και τους αδελφούς αυτού, εξήκοντα οκτώ· και τον Ωβήδ-εδώμ τον υιόν του Ιεδουθούν, και τον Ωσά, διά πυλωρούς· 39και τον Σαδώκ τον ιερέα και τους αδελφούς αυτού τους ιερείς, έμπροσθεν της σκηνής του Κυρίου εν τω υψηλώ τόπω τω εν Γαβαών, 40διά να προσφέρωσιν ολοκαυτώματα προς τον Κύριον επί του θυσιαστηρίου των ολοκαυτωμάτων πάντοτε πρωΐ και εσπέρας, και να κάμνωσι κατά πάντα τα γεγραμμένα εν τω νόμω του Κυρίου, τον οποίον προσέταξεν εις τον Ισραήλ· 41και μετ' αυτών τον Αιμάν και Ιεδουθούν και τους λοιπούς τους εκλελεγμένους, οίτινες διωρίσθησαν κατ' όνομα, διά να δοξολογώσι τον Κύριον, διότι το έλεος αυτού μένει εις τον αιώνα· 42και μετ' αυτών τον Αιμάν και Ιεδουθούν, με σάλπιγγας και κύμβαλα, διά εκείνους οίτινες έπρεπε να ηχώσι, και με όργανα μουσικά του Θεού. Οι δε υιοί του Ιεδουθούν ήσαν πυλωροί. 43Και απήλθε πας ο λαός, έκαστος εις την οικίαν αυτού· και επέστρεψεν ο Δαβίδ, διά να ευλογήση τον οίκον αυτού.

1They brought in the ark of God, and set it in the midst of the tent that David had pitched for it: and they offered burnt offerings and peace offerings before God. 2When David had made an end of offering the burnt offering and the peace offerings, he blessed the people in Yahweh’s name. 3He dealt to everyone of Israel, both man and woman, to every one a loaf of bread, and a portion of meat, and a cake of raisins. 4He appointed certain of the Levites to minister before Yahweh’s ark, and to celebrate and to thank and praise Yahweh, the God of Israel: 5Asaph the chief, and second to him Zechariah, Jeiel, and Shemiramoth, and Jehiel, and Mattithiah, and Eliab, and Benaiah, and Obed-Edom, and Jeiel, with stringed instruments and with harps; and Asaph with cymbals, sounding aloud; 6and Benaiah and Jahaziel the priests with trumpets continually, before the ark of the covenant of God. 7Then on that day David first ordained to give thanks to Yahweh, by the hand of Asaph and his brothers. 8Oh give thanks to Yahweh. Call on his name. Make his doings known among the peoples. 9Sing to him. Sing praises to him. Tell of all his marvelous works. 10Glory in his holy name. Let the heart of those who seek Yahweh rejoice. 11Seek Yahweh and his strength. Seek his face forever more. 12Remember his marvelous works that he has done, his wonders, and the judgments of his mouth, 13you seed of Israel his servant, you children of Jacob, his chosen ones. 14He is Yahweh our God. His judgments are in all the earth. 15Remember his covenant forever, the word which he commanded to a thousand generations, 16the covenant which he made with Abraham, his oath to Isaac. 17He confirmed the same to Jacob for a statute, and to Israel for an everlasting covenant, 18saying, “I will give you the land of Canaan, The lot of your inheritance,” 19when you were but a few men in number, yes, very few, and foreigners were in it. 20They went about from nation to nation, from one kingdom to another people. 21He allowed no man to do them wrong. Yes, he reproved kings for their sakes, 22“Don’t touch my anointed ones! Do my prophets no harm!” 23Sing to Yahweh, all the earth! Display his salvation from day to day. 24Declare his glory among the nations, and his marvelous works among all the peoples. 25For great is Yahweh, and greatly to be praised. He also is to be feared above all gods. 26For all the gods of the peoples are idols, but Yahweh made the heavens. 27Honor and majesty are before him. Strength and gladness are in his place. 28Ascribe to Yahweh, you relatives of the peoples, ascribe to Yahweh glory and strength! 29Ascribe to Yahweh the glory due to his name. Bring an offering, and come before him. Worship Yahweh in holy array. 30Tremble before him, all the earth. The world also is established that it can’t be moved. 31Let the heavens be glad, and let the earth rejoice! Let them say among the nations, “Yahweh reigns!” 32Let the sea roar, and its fullness! Let the field exult, and all that is therein! 33Then the trees of the forest will sing for joy before Yahweh, for he comes to judge the earth. 34Oh give thanks to Yahweh, for he is good, for his loving kindness endures forever. 35Say, “Save us, God of our salvation! Gather us together and deliver us from the nations, to give thanks to your holy name, to triumph in your praise.” 36Blessed be Yahweh, the God of Israel, from everlasting even to everlasting. All the people said, “Amen,” and praised Yahweh. 37So he left there, before the ark of the covenant of Yahweh, Asaph and his brothers, to minister before the ark continually, as every day’s work required; 38and Obed-Edom with their brothers, sixty-eight; Obed-Edom also the son of Jeduthun and Hosah to be doorkeepers; 39and Zadok the priest, and his brothers the priests, before Yahweh’s tabernacle in the high place that was at Gibeon, 40to offer burnt offerings to Yahweh on the altar of burnt offering continually morning and evening, even according to all that is written in Yahweh’s law, which he commanded to Israel; 41and with them Heman and Jeduthun, and the rest who were chosen, who were mentioned by name, to give thanks to Yahweh, because his loving kindness endures forever; 42and with them Heman and Jeduthun with trumpets and cymbals for those that should sound aloud, and with instruments for the songs of God; and the sons of Jeduthun to be at the gate. 43All the people departed every man to his house: and David returned to bless his house.

1Toen zij de ark Gods inbrachten, zo stelden zij ze in het midden der tent, welke David voor haar gespannen had; en zij offerden brandofferen en dankofferen voor het aangezicht Gods. 2Als David het brandoffer en de dankofferen geeindigd had te offeren, zo zegende hij het volk in den Naam des HEEREN. 3En hij deelde een iegelijk in Israel, van den man tot de vrouw, een iegelijk een bol broods, en een schoon stuk vlees, en een fles wijn. 4En hij stelde voor de ark des HEEREN sommigen uit de Levieten tot dienaars, en dat, om den HEERE, den God Israels, te vermelden, en te loven, en te prijzen. 5Asaf was het hoofd, en Zecharja de tweede na hem; Jeiel, en Semiramoth, en Jehiel, en Mattithja, en Eliab, en Benaja, en Obed-Edom, en Jeiel, met instrumenten der luiten en met harpen; en Asaf liet zich horen met cimbalen; 6Maar Benaja en Jahaziel, de priesters, steeds met trompetten voor de ark des verbonds van God. 7Te dienzelven dage gaf David ten eerste dezen psalm, om den HEERE te loven, door den dienst van Asaf, en zijn broederen. 8Looft den HEERE, roept Zijn Naam aan, maakt Zijn daden bekend onder de volken. 9Zingt Hem, psalmzingt Hem, spreekt aandachtelijk van al Zijn wonderwerken. 10Roemt u in den Naam Zijner heiligheid; dat zich het hart dergenen, die den HEERE zoeken, verblijde. 11Vraagt naar den HEERE en Zijn sterkte, zoekt Zijn aangezicht geduriglijk. 12Gedenkt Zijner wonderwerken, die Hij gedaan heeft, Zijner wondertekenen, en de oordelen Zijns monds; 13Gij, zaad van Israel, Zijn dienaar, gij, kinderen van Jakob, Zijn uitverkorenen! 14Hij is de HEERE, onze God; Zijn oordelen zijn over de gehele aarde. 15Gedenkt tot in der eeuwigheid Zijns verbonds, des woords, dat Hij ingesteld heeft tot in het duizendste geslacht; 16Des verbonds, dat Hij met Abraham heeft gemaakt, en Zijns eeds aan Izak; 17Welken Hij ook aan Jakob heeft gesteld tot een inzetting, aan Israel tot een eeuwig verbond; 18Zeggende: Ik zal u het land Kanaan geven, een snoer van ulieder erfdeel; 19Als gij weinige mensen in getal waart; ja, weinigen en vreemdelingen daarin. 20En zij wandelden van volk tot volk, en van het ene koninkrijk tot een ander volk. 21Hij liet niemand toe hen te onderdrukken; ook bestrafte Hij koningen om hunnentwil, zeggende: 22Tast Mijn gezalfden niet aan, en doet Mijn profeten geen kwaad. 23Zingt den HEERE, gij, ganse aarde, boodschapt Zijn heil van dag tot dag. 24Vertelt Zijn eer onder de heidenen, Zijn wonderwerken onder alle volken. 25Want de HEERE is groot, en zeer te prijzen, en Hij is vreselijk boven alle goden. 26Want al de goden der volken zijn afgoden; maar de HEERE heeft de hemelen gemaakt. 27Majesteit en heerlijkheid zijn voor Zijn aangezicht, sterkte en vrolijkheid zijn in Zijn plaats. 28Geeft den HEERE, gij, geslachten der volken, geeft den HEERE eer en sterkte. 29Geeft den HEERE de eer Zijns Naams, brengt offer, en komt voor Zijn aangezicht; aanbidt den HEERE in de heerlijkheid des heiligdoms. 30Schrikt voor Zijn aangezicht, gij, gehele aarde! Ook zal de wereld bevestigd worden, dat zij niet bewogen worde. 31Dat de hemelen zich verblijden, en de aarde verheuge zich, en dat men onder de heidenen zegge: De HEERE regeert. 32Dat de zee bruise met haar volheid, dat het veld huppele van vreugde, met al wat daarin is. 33Dan zullen de bomen des wouds juichen voor het aangezicht des HEEREN, omdat Hij komt, om de aarde te richten. 34Looft den HEERE, want Hij is goed, want Zijn goedertierenheid is tot in eeuwigheid. 35En zegt: Verlos ons, o God onzes heils, en verzamel ons, en red ons van de heidenen, dat wij Uw heiligen Naam loven, en dat wij ons Uws lofs roemen. 36Geloofd zij de HEERE, de God Israels, van eeuwigheid tot eeuwigheid! En al het volk zeide: Amen! en het loofde den HEERE. 37Alzo liet hij daar, voor de ark des verbonds des HEEREN, Asaf en zijn broederen, om geduriglijk te dienen voor de ark, naardat op elken dag besteld was. 38Obed-Edom nu, met hunlieder broederen, waren acht en zestig; en hij stelde Obed-Edom, den zoon van Jeduthun, en Hosa, tot poortiers; 39En den priester Zadok, en zijn broederen, de priesters, voor den tabernakel des HEEREN op de hoogte, welke te Gibeon is; 40Om den HEERE de brandofferen geduriglijk te offeren op het brandofferaltaar, des morgens en des avonds; en zulks naar alles, wat er geschreven staat in de wet des HEEREN, die Hij Israel geboden had. 41En met hen Heman en Jeduthun, en de overige uitgelezenen, die met namen uitgedrukt zijn om den HEERE te loven; want Zijn goedertierenheid is tot in der eeuwigheid. 42Met hen dan waren Heman en Jeduthun, met trompetten en cimbalen voor degenen, die zich lieten horen, en met instrumenten der muziek Gods; maar de zonen van Jeduthun waren aan de poort. 43Alzo toog het ganse volk henen, een iegelijk in zijn huis; en David keerde zich, om zijn huis te gaan zegenen.
