1Thiên sứ chỉ cho tôi xem sông nước sự sống, trong như lưu ly, từ ngôi Ðức Chúa Trời và Chiên Con chảy ra. 2Ở giữa phố thành và trên hai bờ sông có cây sự sống trổ mười hai mùa, mỗi tháng một lần ra trái; và những lá cây đó dùng để chữa lành cho các dân. 3Chẳng còn có sự nguyền rủa nữa; ngôi của Ðức Chúa Trời và Chiên Con sẽ ở trong thành; các tôi tớ Ngài sẽ hầu hạ Ngài; 4chúng sẽ được thấy mặt Chúa, và danh Chúa sẽ ở trên trán mình. Ðêm không còn có nữa, 5và chúng sẽ không cần đến ánh sáng đèn hay ánh sáng mặt trời, vì Chúa là Ðức Chúa Trời sẽ soi sáng cho; và chúng sẽ trị vì đời đời. 6Bấy giờ thiên sứ nói với tôi rằng: Những lời nầy là trung tín và chơn thật, Chúa là Ðức Chúa Trời của thần các đấng tiên tri, đã sai thiên sứ mình đặng tỏ cùng các tôi tớ Ngài những điều kíp phải xảy ra. 7Kìa, ta đến mau chóng. Phước thay cho kẻ nào giữ những lời tiên tri trong sách nầy! 8Chính tôi là Giăng đã thấy và nghe những điều đó. Khi nghe và thấy đoạn, tôi sấp mình xuống dưới chơn thiên sứ đã tỏ những kỳ diệu ấy cho tôi, để thờ lạy. 9Song người phán rằng: Chớ làm vậy! Ta là bạn tôi tớ với ngươi, với anh em ngươi, là các đấng tiên tri, và với những kẻ giữ các lời trong sách nầy. Hãy thờ phượng Ðức Chúa Trời! 10Rồi người lại phán cùng tôi rằng: Chớ niêm phong những lời tiên tri trong sách nầy; vì thì giờ đã gần đến. 11Kẻ nào không công bình, cứ không công bình nữa; kẻ nào ô uế, cứ còn ô uế nữa; kẻ nào công bình, cứ làm điều công bình nữa; kẻ nào là thánh, cứ làm nên thánh nữa! 12Nầy, ta đến mau chóng, và đem phần thưởng theo với ta, để trả cho mỗi người tùy theo công việc họ làm. 13Ta là An-pha và Ô-mê-ga, là thứ nhứt và là sau chót, là đầu và là rốt. 14Phước thay cho những kẻ giặt áo mình đặng có phép đến nơi cây sự sống và bởi các cửa mà vào trong thành! 15Những loài chó, những thuật sĩ, những kẻ tà dâm, những kẻ giết người, những kẻ thờ hình tượng, và những kẻ ưa thích cùng làm sự giả dối đều ở ngoài hết thảy. 16Ta là Jêsus, đã sai thiên sứ ta đến làm chứng về những sự đó cho các ngươi trước mặt các Hội thánh. Ta là chồi và hậu tự của Ða-vít, là sao mai sáng chói. 17Thánh Linh và vợ mới cùng nói: Hãy đến! Kẻ nào nghe cũng hãy nói rằng: Hãy đến! Ai khát, khá đến. Kẻ nào muốn, khá nhận lấy nước sự sống cách nhưng không. 18Tôi ngỏ cho kẻ nào nghe lời tiên tri trong sách nầy: nếu ai thêm vào sách tiên tri nầy điều gì, thì Ðức Chúa Trời sẽ thêm cho người ấy tai nạn đã ghi chép trong sách nầy. 19Và kẻ nào bớt điều gì trong những lời ở sách tiên tri nầy, thì Ðức Chúa Trời sẽ cất lấy phần họ về cây sự sống và thành thánh, mà đã chép ra trong sách nầy. 20Ðấng làm chứng cho những điều ấy, phán rằng: Phải, ta đến mau chóng. A-men, lạy Ðức Chúa Jêsus, xin hãy đến! 21Nguyền xin ân điển của Ðức Chúa Jêsus ở với mọi người!
1He showed me a river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb, 2in the middle of its street. On this side of the river and on that was the tree of life, bearing twelve kinds of fruits, yielding its fruit every month. The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. 3There will be no curse any more. The throne of God and of the Lamb will be in it, and his servants serve him. 4They will see his face, and his name will be on their foreheads. 5There will be no night, and they need no lamp light; for the Lord God will illuminate them. They will reign forever and ever. 6He said to me, “These words are faithful and true. The Lord God of the spirits of the prophets sent his angel to show to his bondservants the things which must happen soon.” 7“Behold, I come quickly. Blessed is he who keeps the words of the prophecy of this book.” 8Now I, John, am the one who heard and saw these things. When I heard and saw, I fell down to worship before the feet of the angel who had shown me these things. 9He said to me, “See you don’t do it! I am a fellow bondservant with you and with your brothers, the prophets, and with those who keep the words of this book. Worship God.” 10He said to me, “Don’t seal up the words of the prophecy of this book, for the time is at hand. 11He who acts unjustly, let him act unjustly still. He who is filthy, let him be filthy still. He who is righteous, let him do righteousness still. He who is holy, let him be holy still.” 12“Behold, I come quickly. My reward is with me, to repay to each man according to his work. 13I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End. 14Blessed are those who do his commandments,that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter in by the gates into the city. 15Outside are the dogs, the sorcerers, the sexually immoral, the murderers, the idolaters, and everyone who loves and practices falsehood. 16I, Jesus, have sent my angel to testify these things to you for the assemblies. I am the root and the offspring of David; the Bright and Morning Star.” 17The Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” He who hears, let him say, “Come!” He who is thirsty, let him come. He who desires, let him take the water of life freely. 18I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book, if anyone adds to them, may God add to him the plagues which are written in this book. 19If anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, may God take away his part from the tree of life, and out of the holy city, which are written in this book. 20He who testifies these things says, “Yes, I come quickly.” Amen! Yes, come, Lord Jesus. 21The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with all the saints. Amen.
1En hij toonde mij een zuivere rivier van het water des levens, klaar als kristal, voortkomende uit den troon Gods, en des Lams. 2In het midden van haar straat en op de ene en de andere zijde der rivier was de boom des levens, voortbrengende twaalf vruchten, van maand tot maand gevende zijne vrucht; en de bladeren des booms waren tot genezing der heidenen. 3En geen vervloeking zal er meer tegen iemand zijn; en de troon Gods en des Lams zal daarin zijn, en Zijn dienstknechten zullen Hem dienen; 4En zullen Zijn aangezicht zien, en Zijn Naam zal op hun voorhoofden zijn. 5En aldaar zal geen nacht zijn, en zij zullen geen kaars noch licht der zon van node hebben; want de Heere God verlicht hen; en zij zullen als koningen heersen in alle eeuwigheid. 6En hij zeide tot mij: Deze woorden zijn getrouw en waarachtig; en de Heere, de God der heilige profeten, heeft Zijn engel gezonden, om Zijn dienstknechten te tonen, hetgeen haast moet geschieden. 7Zie, Ik kom haastiglijk zalig is hij, die de woorden der profetie dezes boeks bewaart. 8En ik, Johannes, ben degene, die deze dingen gezien en gehoord heb. En toen ik ze gehoord en gezien had, viel ik neder om aan te bidden voor de voeten des engels, die mij deze dingen toonde. 9En hij zeide tot mij: Zie, dat gij het niet doet; want ik ben uw mededienstknecht, en uwer broederen, der profeten, en dergenen, die de woorden dezes boeks bewaren; aanbid God. 10En hij zeide tot mij: Verzegel de woorden der profetie dezes boeks niet; want de tijd is nabij. 11Die onrecht doet, dat hij nog onrecht doe; en die vuil is, dat hij nog vuil worde; en die rechtvaardig is, dat hij nog gerechtvaardigd worde; en die heilig is, dat hij nog geheiligd worde. 12En zie, Ik kom haastiglijk en Mijn loon is met Mij, om een iegelijk te vergelden, gelijk zijn werk zal zijn. 13Ik ben de Alfa, en de Omega, het Begin en het Einde; de Eerste en de Laatste. 14Zalig zijn zij, die Zijn geboden doen, opdat hun macht zij aan den boom des levens, en zij door de poorten mogen ingaan in de stad. 15Maar buiten zullen zijn de honden, en de tovenaars, en de hoereerders, en de doodslagers, en de afgodendienaars, en een iegelijk, die de leugen liefheeft, en doet. 16Ik, Jezus, heb Mijn engel gezonden om ulieden deze dingen te getuigen in de Gemeenten. Ik ben de Wortel en het geslacht Davids, de blinkende Morgenster. 17En de Geest en de Bruid zeggen: Kom! En die het hoort, zegge: Kom! En die dorst heeft, kome; en die wil, neme het water des levens om niet. 18Want ik betuig aan een iegelijk, die de woorden der profetie dezes boeks hoort: Indien iemand tot deze dingen toedoet, God zal hem toedoen de plagen, die in dit boek geschreven zijn. 19En indien iemand afdoet van de woorden des boeks dezer profetie, God zal zijn deel afdoen uit het boek des levens, en uit de heilige stad, en uit hetgeen in dit boek geschreven is. 20Die deze dingen getuigt, zegt: Ja, Ik kom haastiglijk. Amen. Ja, kom, Heere Jezus! 21De genade van onzen Heere Jezus Christus zij met u allen. Amen.
