1Tôi nhìn xem, thấy Chiên Con đứng trên núi Si-ôn, và với Ngài có mười bốn vạn bốn ngàn người đều có danh Chiên Con và danh Cha Chiên Con ghi trên trán mình. 2Tôi nghe một tiếng trước trên trời xuống, y như tiếng nhiều nước, và như tiếng sấm lớn; tiếng mà tôi nghe đó như tiếng đờn cầm mà người đánh đờn gảy vậy: 3chúng hát một bài ca mới trước ngôi, trước bốn con sanh vật và các trưởng lão. Không ai học được bài ca đó, họa chăng chỉ có mười bốn vạn bốn ngàn người đã được chuộc khỏi đất mà thôi. 4Những kẻ ấy chưa bị ô uế với đờn bà, vì còn trinh khiết. Chiên Con đi đâu, những kẻ nầy theo đó. Những kẻ đó đã được chuộc từ trong loài người, để làm trái đầu mùa cho Ðức Chúa Trời và Chiên Con; 5trong miệng chúng chẳng có lời nói dối nào hết, cũng không có dấu vết gì. 6Ðiều ấy đoạn, tôi thấy một vị thiên sứ khác bay giữa trời, có Tin Lành đời đời, đặng rao truyền cho dân cư trên đất, cho mọi nước, mọi chi phái, mọi tiếng, và mọi dân tộc. 7Người cất tiếng lớn nói rằng: Hãy kính sợ Ðức Chúa Trời, và tôn vinh Ngài, vì giờ phán xét của Ngài đã đến; hãy thờ phượng Ðấng dựng nên trời, đất, biển và các suối nước. 8Một vị thiên sứ khác, là vị thứ hai, theo sau mà rằng: Ba-by-lôn lớn kia, đã đổ rồi, đã đổ rồi, vì nó có cho các dân tộc uống rượu tà dâm thạnh nộ của nó. 9Lại một vị thiên sứ khác, là vị thứ ba, theo sau, nói lớn tiếng mà rằng: Nếu ai thờ phượng con thú cũng tượng nó, và chịu dấu nó ghi trên trán hay trên tay, 10thì người ấy cũng vậy, sẽ uống rượu thạnh nộ không pha của Ðức Chúa Trời rót trong chén thạnh nộ Ngài; và sẽ chịu đau đớn trong lửa và diêm ở trước mặt các thiên sứ thánh và trước mặt Chiên Con. 11Khói của sự đau đớn chúng nó bay lên đời đời. Những kẻ thờ lạy con thú và tượng nó, cũng những kẻ chịu dấu của tên nó ghi, thì cả ngày lẫn đêm không lúc nào được yên nghỉ. 12Ðây tỏ ra sự nhịn nhục của các thánh đồ: chúng giữ điều răn của Ðức Chúa Trời và giữ lòng tin Ðức Chúa Jêsus. 13Tôi nghe có tiếng đến từ trên trời rằng: Hãy viết lấy: Từ rày, phước thay cho những người chết là người chết trong Chúa! Ðức Thánh Linh phán: Phải, vì những người ấy nghỉ ngơi khỏi sự khó nhọc, và việc làm mình theo sau. 14Tôi nhìn xem, thấy một đám mây trắng; có kẻ giống như một con người ngồi trên mây, đầu đội mão triều thiên vàng, tay cầm lưỡi liềm bén. 15Có một thiên sứ khác ở đền thờ đi ra, cất tiếng lớn kêu Ðấng ngồi trên mây rằng: Hãy quăng lưỡi liềm xuống và gặt đi; vì giờ gặt hái đã đến, mùa màng dưới đất đã chín rồi. 16Ðấng ngồi trên mây bèn quăng lưỡi liềm mình xuống đất, và dưới đất đều bị gặt. 17Một vị thiên sứ khác ở đền thờ trên trời đi ra, cũng cầm một cái lưỡi liềm bén. 18Rồi một vị thiên sứ khác nữa có quyền cai trị lửa, từ bàn thờ đi ra, lấy tiếng lớn kêu vị thiên sứ cầm lưỡi liềm bén mà rằng: Hãy quăng lưỡi liềm bén của ngươi xuống và hái những chùm nho ở dưới đất đi, vì nho đã chín rồi. 19Thiên sứ quăng lưỡi liềm xuống đất, cắt vườn nho ở đất và ném nho vào thùng lớn thạnh nộ của Ðức Chúa Trời. 20Thùng ấy phải giày đạp tại ngoài thành; rồi có huyết ở thùng chảy ra, huyết đó lên đến chỗ khớp ngựa, dài một quãng là một ngàn sáu trăm dặm.
1I saw, and behold, the Lamb standing on Mount Zion, and with him a number, one hundred forty-four thousand, having his name, and the name of his Father, written on their foreheads. 2I heard a sound from heaven, like the sound of many waters, and like the sound of a great thunder. The sound which I heard was like that of harpists playing on their harps. 3They sing a new song before the throne, and before the four living creatures and the elders. No one could learn the song except the one hundred forty-four thousand, those who had been redeemed out of the earth. 4These are those who were not defiled with women, for they are virgins. These are those who follow the Lamb wherever he goes. These were redeemed by Jesus from among men, the first fruits to God and to the Lamb. 5In their mouth was found no lie, for they are blameless. 6I saw an angel flying in mid heaven, having an eternal Good News to proclaim to those who dwell on the earth, and to every nation, tribe, language, and people. 7He said with a loud voice, “Fear the Lord, and give him glory; for the hour of his judgment has come. Worship him who made the heaven, the earth, the sea, and the springs of waters!” 8Another, a second angel, followed, saying, “Babylon the great has fallen, which has made all the nations to drink of the wine of the wrath of her sexual immorality.” 9Another angel, a third, followed them, saying with a great voice, “If anyone worships the beast and his image, and receives a mark on his forehead, or on his hand, 10he also will drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is prepared unmixed in the cup of his anger. He will be tormented with fire and sulfur in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb. 11The smoke of their torment goes up forever and ever. They have no rest day and night, those who worship the beast and his image, and whoever receives the mark of his name. 12Here is the patience of the saints, those who keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.” 13I heard the voice from heaven saying, “Write, ‘Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on.’” “Yes,” says the Spirit, “that they may rest from their labors; for their works follow with them.” 14I looked, and behold, a white cloud; and on the cloud one sitting like a son of man, having on his head a golden crown, and in his hand a sharp sickle. 15Another angel came out of the temple, crying with a loud voice to him who sat on the cloud, “Send your sickle, and reap; for the hour to reap has come; for the harvest of the earth is ripe!” 16He who sat on the cloud thrust his sickle on the earth, and the earth was reaped. 17Another angel came out of the temple which is in heaven. He also had a sharp sickle. 18Another angel came out from the altar, he who has power over fire, and he called with a great voice to him who had the sharp sickle, saying, “Send your sharp sickle, and gather the clusters of the vine of the earth, for the earth’s grapes are fully ripe!” 19The angel thrust his sickle into the earth, and gathered the vintage of the earth, and threw it into the great wine press of the wrath of God. 20The wine press was trodden outside of the city, and blood came out of the wine press, even to the bridles of the horses, as far as one thousand six hundred stadia.

En ik hoorde een stem van citerspelers, spelende op hun citers; 3En zij zongen als een nieuw gezang voor den troon, en voor de vier dieren, en de ouderlingen; en niemand kon dat gezang leren, dan de honderd vier en veertig duizend, die van de aarde gekocht waren. 4Dezen zijn het, die met vrouwen niet bevlekt zijn, want zij zijn maagden; dezen zijn het, die het Lam volgen, waar Het ook heengaat; dezen zijn gekocht uit de mensen, tot eerstelingen Gode en het Lam. 5En in hun mond is geen bedrog gevonden; want zij zijn onberispelijk voor den troon van God. 6En ik zag een anderen engel, vliegende in het midden des hemels, en hij had het eeuwige Evangelie, om te verkondigen dengenen, die op de aarde wonen, en aan alle natie, en geslacht, en taal, en volk; 7Zeggende met een grote stem: Vreest God, en geeft Hem heerlijkheid, want de ure Zijns oordeels is gekomen; en aanbidt Hem, Die den hemel, en de aarde, en de zee, en de fonteinen der wateren gemaakt heeft. 8En er is een andere engel gevolgd, zeggende: Zij is gevallen, zij is gevallen, Babylon, die grote stad, omdat zij uit den wijn des toorns harer hoererij alle volken heeft gedrenkt. 9En een derde engel is hen gevolgd, zeggende met een grote stem: Indien iemand het beest aanbidt en zijn beeld, en ontvangt het merkteken aan zijn voorhoofd, of aan zijn hand, 10Die zal ook drinken uit den wijn des toorn Gods, die ongemengd ingeschonken is, in den drinkbeker Zijns toorns; en hij zal gepijnigd worden met vuur en sulfer voor de heilige engelen en voor het Lam. 11En de rook van hun pijniging gaat op in alle eeuwigheid, en zij hebben geen rust dag en nacht, die het beest aanbidden en zijn beeld, en zo iemand het merkteken zijns naams ontvangt. 12Hier is de lijdzaamheid der heiligen; hier zijn zij, die de geboden Gods bewaren en het geloof van Jezus. 13En ik hoorde een stem uit den hemel, die tot mij zeide: Schrijf, zalig zijn de doden, die in den Heere sterven, van nu aan. Ja, zegt de Geest, opdat zij rusten mogen van hun arbeid; en hun werken volgen met hen. 14En ik zag, en ziet, een witte wolk, en op de wolk was Een gezeten, des mensen Zoon gelijk, hebbende op Zijn hoofd een gouden kroon; en in Zijn hand een scherpe sikkel. 15En een andere engel kwam uit den tempel, roepende met een grote stem tot Dengene, Die op de wolk zat: Zend Uw sikkel en maai; want de ure om te maaien is nu gekomen, dewijl de oogst der aarde rijp is geworden. 16En Die op de wolk zat, zond Zijn sikkel op de aarde, en de aarde werd gemaaid. 17En een andere engel kwam uit den tempel, die in den hemel is, hebbende ook zelf een scherpe sikkel. 18En een andere engel kwam uit van het altaar, die macht had over het vuur; en hij riep met een groot geroep, tot dengene, die de scherpe sikkel had, zeggende: Zend uw scherpe sikkel, en snijd af de druiftakken van den wijngaard der aarde, want zijn druiven zijn rijp. 19En de engel zond zijn sikkel op de aarde en sneed de druiven af van den wijngaard der aarde, en wierp ze in den groten wijnpersbak des toorns Gods. 20En de wijnpersbak werd buiten de stad getreden, en er is bloed uit den wijnpersbak gekomen, tot aan de tomen der paarden, duizend zeshonderd stadien ver.
