1Các ngươi đừng đoán xét ai, để mình khỏi bị đoán xét. 2Vì các ngươi đoán xét người ta thể nào, thì họ cũng đoán xét lại thể ấy; các ngươi lường cho người ta mực nào, thì họ cũng lường lại cho mực ấy. 3Sao ngươi dòm thấy cái rác trong mắt anh em ngươi, mà chẳng thấy cây đà trong mắt mình? 4Sao ngươi dám nói với anh em rằng: Ðể tôi lấy cái rác ra khỏi mắt anh, mà chính ngươi có cây đà trong mắt mình? 5Hỡi kẻ giả hình! trước hết phải lấy cây đà khỏi mắt mình đi, rồi mới thấy rõ mà lấy cái rác ra khỏi mắt anh em mình được. 6Ðừng cho chó những đồ thánh, và đừng quăng hột trai mình trước mặt heo, kẻo nó đạp dưới chơn, và quay lại cắn xé các ngươi. 7Hãy xin, sẽ được; hãy tìm, sẽ gặp; hãy gõ cửa, sẽ mở cho. 8Bởi vì, hễ ai xin thì được; ai tìm thì gặp; ai gõ cửa thì được mở. 9Trong các ngươi có ai, khi con mình xin bánh, mà cho đá chăng? 10Hay là con mình xin cá, mà cho rắn chăng? 11Vậy nếu các ngươi vốn là xấu, còn biết cho con cái mình các vật tốt thay, huống chi Cha các ngươi ở trên trời lại chẳng ban các vật tốt cho những người xin Ngài sao? 12Ấy vậy, hễ điều chi mà các ngươi muốn người ta làm cho mình, thì cũng hãy làm điều đó cho họ, vì ấy là luật pháp và lời tiên tri. 13Hãy vào cửa hẹp, vì cửa rộng và đường khoảng khoát dẫn đến sự hư mất, kẻ vào đó cũng nhiều. 14Song cửa hẹp và đường chật dẫn đến sự sống, kẻ kiếm được thì ít. 15Hãy coi chừng tiên tri giả, là những kẻ mang lốt chiên đến cùng các ngươi, song bề trong thật là muông sói hay cắn xé. 16Các ngươi nhờ những trái nó mà nhận biết được. Nào có ai hái trái nho nơi bụi gai, hay là trái vả nơi bụi tật lê? 17Vậy, hễ cây nào tốt thì sanh trái tốt; nhưng cây nào xấu thì sanh trái xấu. 18Cây tốt chẳng sanh được trái xấu, mà cây xấu cũng chẳng sanh được trái tốt. 19Hễ cây nào chẳng sanh trái tốt, thì phải đốn mà chụm đi. 20Ấy vậy, các ngươi nhờ những trái nó mà nhận biết được. 21Chẳng phải hễ những kẻ nói cùng ta rằng: Lạy Chúa, lạy Chúa, thì đều được vào nước thiên đàng đâu; nhưng chỉ kẻ làm theo ý muốn của Cha ta ở trên trời mà thôi. 22Ngày đó, sẽ có nhiều người thưa cùng ta rằng: Lạy Chúa, lạy Chúa, chúng tôi chẳng từng nhơn danh Chúa mà nói tiên tri sao? nhơn danh Chúa mà trừ quỉ sao? và lại nhơn danh Chúa mà làm nhiều phép lạ sao? 23Khi ấy, ta sẽ phán rõ ràng cùng họ rằng: Hỡi kẻ làm gian ác, ta chẳng biết các ngươi bao giờ, hãy lui ra khỏi ta! 24Vậy, kẻ nào nghe và làm theo lời ta phán đây, thì giống như một người khôn ngoan cất nhà mình trên hòn đá. 25Có mưa sa, nước chảy, gió lay, xô động nhà ấy; song không sập, vì đã cất trên đá. 26Kẻ nào nghe lời ta phán đây, mà không làm theo, khác nào như người dại cất nhà mình trên đất cát. 27Có mưa sa, nước chảy, gió lay, xô động nhà ấy, thì bị sập, hư hại rất nhiều. 28Vả, khi Ðức Chúa Jêsus vừa phán những lời ấy xong, đoàn dân lấy đạo Ngài làm lạ; 29vì Ngài dạy như là có quyền, chớ không giống các thầy thông giáo.
1“Don’t judge, so that you won’t be judged. 2For with whatever judgment you judge, you will be judged; and with whatever measure you measure, it will be measured to you. 3Why do you see the speck that is in your brother’s eye, but don’t consider the beam that is in your own eye? 4Or how will you tell your brother, ‘Let me remove the speck from your eye;’ and behold, the beam is in your own eye? 5You hypocrite! First remove the beam out of your own eye, and then you can see clearly to remove the speck out of your brother’s eye. 6“Don’t give that which is holy to the dogs, neither throw your pearls before the pigs, lest perhaps they trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you to pieces. 7“Ask, and it will be given you. Seek, and you will find. Knock, and it will be opened for you. 8For everyone who asks receives. He who seeks finds. To him who knocks it will be opened. 9Or who is there among you, who, if his son asks him for bread, will give him a stone? 10Or if he asks for a fish, who will give him a serpent? 11If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask him! 12Therefore whatever you desire for men to do to you, you shall also do to them; for this is the law and the prophets. 13“Enter in by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and many are those who enter in by it. 14Hownarrow is the gate, and restricted is the way that leads to life! Few are those who find it. 15“Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly are ravening wolves. 16By their fruits you will know them. Do you gather grapes from thorns, or figs from thistles? 17Even so, every good tree produces good fruit; but the corrupt tree produces evil fruit. 18A good tree can’t produce evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree produce good fruit. 19Every tree that doesn’t grow good fruit is cut down, and thrown into the fire. 20Therefore by their fruits you will know them. 21Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter into the Kingdom of Heaven; but he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22Many will tell me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, didn’t we prophesy in your name, in your name cast out demons, and in your name do many mighty works?’ 23Then I will tell them, ‘I never knew you. Depart from me, you who work iniquity.’ 24“Everyone therefore who hears these words of mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man, who built his house on a rock. 25The rain came down, the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat on that house; and it didn’t fall, for it was founded on the rock. 26Everyone who hears these words of mine, and doesn’t do them will be like a foolish man, who built his house on the sand. 27The rain came down, the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat on that house; and it fell—and great was its fall.” 28When Jesus had finished saying these things, the multitudes were astonished at his teaching, 29for he taught them with authority, and not like the scribes.
1Oordeelt niet, opdat gij niet geoordeeld wordt. 2Want met welk oordeel gij oordeelt, zult gij geoordeeld worden; en met welke mate gij meet, zal u wedergemeten worden. 3En wat ziet gij den splinter, die in het oog uws broeders is, maar den balk, die in uw oog is, merkt gij niet? 4Of, hoe zult gij tot uw broeder zeggen: Laat toe, dat ik den splinter uit uw oog uitdoe; en zie, er is een balk in uw oog? 5Gij geveinsde! werp eerst den balk uit uw oog, en dan zult gij bezien, om den splinter uit uws broeders oog uit te doen. 6Geeft het heilige den honden niet, noch werpt uw paarlen voor de zwijnen; opdat zij niet te eniger tijd dezelve met hun voeten vertreden, en zich omkerende, u verscheuren. 7Bidt, en u zal gegeven worden; zoekt, en gij zult vinden; klopt, en u zal opengedaan worden. 8Want een iegelijk, die bidt, die ontvangt; en die zoekt, die vindt; en die klopt, dien zal opengedaan worden. 9Of wat mens is er onder u, zo zijn zoon hem zou bidden om brood, die hem een steen zal geven? 10En zo hij hem om een vis zou bidden, die hem een slang zal geven? 11Indien dan gij, die boos zijt, weet uw kinderen goede gaven te geven, hoeveel te meer zal uw Vader, Die in de hemelen is, goede gaven geven dengenen, die ze van Hem bidden! 12Alle dingen dan, die gij wilt, dat u de mensen zouden doen, doet gij hun ook alzo; want dat is de wet en de profeten. 13Gaat in door de enge poort; want wijd is de poort, en breed is de weg, die tot het verderf leidt, en velen zijn er, die door dezelve ingaan; 14Want de poort is eng, en de weg is nauw, die tot het leven leidt, en weinigen zijn er, die denzelven vinden. 15Maar wacht u van de valse profeten, dewelke in schaapsklederen tot u komen, maar van binnen zijn zij grijpende wolven. 16Aan hun vruchten zult gij hen kennen. Leest men ook een druif van doornen, of vijgen van distelen? 17Alzo een ieder goede boom brengt voort goede vruchten, en een kwade boom brengt voort kwade vruchten. 18Een goede boom kan geen kwade vruchten voortbrengen, noch een kwade boom goede vruchten voortbrengen. 19Een ieder boom, die geen goede vrucht voortbrengt, wordt uitgehouwen en in het vuur geworpen. 20Zo zult gij dan dezelve aan hun vruchten kennen. 21Niet een iegelijk, die tot Mij zegt: Heere, Heere! zal ingaan in het Koninkrijk der hemelen, maar die daar doet den wil Mijns Vaders, Die in de hemelen is. 22Velen zullen te dien dage tot Mij zeggen: Heere, Heere! hebben wij niet in Uw Naam geprofeteerd, en in Uw Naam duivelen uitgeworpen, en in Uw Naam vele krachten gedaan? 23En dan zal Ik hun openlijk aanzeggen: Ik heb u nooit gekend; gaat weg van Mij, gij, die de ongerechtigheid werkt! 24Een iegelijk dan, die deze Mijn woorden hoort en dezelve doet, dien zal Ik vergelijken bij een voorzichtig man, die zijn huis op een steenrots gebouwd heeft; 25En er is slagregen nedergevallen, en de waterstromen zijn gekomen, en de winden hebben gewaaid, en zijn tegen hetzelve huis aangevallen, en het is niet gevallen, want het was op de steenrots gegrond. 26En een iegelijk, die deze Mijn woorden hoort en dezelve niet doet, die zal bij een dwazen man vergeleken worden, die zijn huis op het zand gebouwd heeft; 27En de slagregen is nedergevallen, en de waterstromen zijn gekomen, en de winden hebben gewaaid, en zijn tegen hetzelve huis aangeslagen, en het is gevallen, en zijn val was groot. 28En het is geschied, als Jezus deze woorden geeindigd had, dat de scharen zich ontzetten over Zijn leer; 29Want Hij leerde hen, als macht hebbende, en niet als de Schriftgeleerden.
