1Cũng ngày ấy, Ðức Chúa Jêsus ra khỏi nhà, ngồi bên mé biển. 2Ðoàn dân nhóm họp xung quanh Ngài đông lắm, đến nỗi Ngài phải xuống thuyền mà ngồi, còn cả đoàn dân đứng trên bờ. 3Ngài dùng thí dụ mà giảng nhiều điều cùng họ. Ngài phán như vầy: Có người gieo giống đi ra đặng gieo. 4Khi đương gieo, một phần giống rơi dọc đường, chim bay xuống và ăn. 5Một phần khác rơi nhằm chỗ đất đá sỏi, chỉ có ít đất thịt, bị lấp không sâu, liền mọc lên; 6song khi mặt trời mọc lên, thì bị đốt, và vì không có rễ, nên phải héo. 7Một phần khác rơi nhằm bụi gai, gai mọc rậm lên, phải nghẹt ngòi. 8Một phần khác nữa rơi nhằm chỗ đất tốt, thì sanh trái; hoặc một hột ra được một trăm, hoặc một hột sáu chục, hoặc một hột ba chục. 9Ai có tai, hãy nghe! 10Môn đồ bèn đến gần Ngài mà hỏi rằng: sao thầy dùng thí dụ mà phán cùng chúng vậy? 11Ngài đáp rằng: bởi vì đã ban cho các ngươi được biết những điều mầu nhiệm của nước thiên đàng, song về phần họ, thì không ban cho biết. 12Vì sẽ cho thêm kẻ nào đã có, thì họ sẽ được dư dật; nhưng kẻ nào không có, thì lại cất luôn điều họ đã có nữa. 13Vậy nên ta phán thí dụ cùng chúng; vì họ xem mà không thấy, lắng tai mà không nghe, và không hiểu chi hết. 14Vậy, về họ, đã được ứng nghiệm lời tiên tri của Ê-sai rằng: Các ngươi sẽ lắng tai nghe, mà chẳng hiểu chi; Lấy mắt xem mà chẳng thấy chi. 15Vì lòng dân nầy đã cứng cỏi; Ðã làm cho nặng tai Và nhắm mắt mình lại, E khi mắt mình thấy được, Tai mình nghe được, Lòng mình hiểu được, Họ tự hối cải lại, Và ta chữa họ được lành chăng. 16Nhưng phước cho mắt các ngươi, vì thấy được; phước cho tai các ngươi, vì nghe được! 17Quả thật, ta nói cùng các ngươi, có nhiều đấng tiên tri, nhiều người công chính đã ước ao thấy điều các ngươi thấy, mà chẳng được thấy; ước ao nghe điều các ngươi nghe, mà chẳng được nghe. 18Ấy vậy, các ngươi hãy nghe nghĩa ví dụ về kẻ gieo giống là gì. 19Khi người nào nghe đạo nước thiên đàng, mà không hiểu, thì quỉ dữ đến cướp điều đã gieo trong lòng mình; ấy là kẻ chịu lấy hột giống rơi ra dọc đàng. 20Người nào chịu lấy hột giống nơi đất đá sỏi, tức là kẻ nghe đạo, liền vui mừng chịu lấy; 21song trong lòng không có rễ, chỉ tạm thời mà thôi, đến khi vì đạo mà gặp sự cực khổ, sự bắt bớ, thì liền vấp phạm. 22Kẻ nào chịu lấy hột giống nơi bụi gai, tức là kẻ nghe đạo; mà sự lo lắng về đời nầy, và sự mê đắm và của cải, làm cho nghẹt ngòi đạo và thành ra không kết quả. 23Song, kẻ nào chịu lấy hột giống nơi đất tốt, tức là kẻ nghe đạo và hiểu; người ấy được kết quả đến nỗi một hột ra một trăm, hột khác sáu chục, hột khác ba chục. 24Ðức Chúa Jêsus phán ví dụ khác cùng chúng rằng: Nước thiên đàng giống như người kia gieo giống tốt trong ruộng mình. 25Nhưng đương khi người ta ngủ, thì kẻ th@¹ chủ ruộng liền đến, gieo cỏ lùng vào trong lúa mì, rồi đi. 26Ðến khi lúa mì lớn lên, và trổ bông, thì cỏ lùng cũng lòi ra. 27Các đầy tớ của chủ nhà bèn đến thưa rằng: Thưa chủ, chủ không gieo giống tốt trong ruộng chủ sao? Vậy thì cỏ lùng bởi đâu mà ra? 28Chủ đáp rằng: Ấy là một kẻ thù đã làm điều đó. Các đầy tớ thưa rằng: Vậy chủ có muốn chúng tôi đi nhổ cỏ đó chăng? 29Chủ rằng: Chẳng nên, e khi nhổ cỏ lùng, hoặc các ngươi nhổ lộn lúa mì đi chăng. 30Hãy để cho cả hai thứ cùng lớn lên cho đến mùa gặt; đến mùa gặt, ta sẽ dặn con gặt rằng: trước hết hãy nhổ cỏ lùng, bó lại từng bó mà đốt đi; song hãy thâu trử lúa mì vào kho ta. 31Ngài lấy ví dụ khác mà phán rằng: Nước thiên đàng giống như một hột cải mà người kia lấy gieo trong ruộng mình; 32hột ấy thật nhỏ hơn cả các giống khác, song khi đã mọc lên, thì lớn hơn các thứ rau, và trở nên cây cối, cho đến nỗi chim trời tới làm ổ trên nhành nó được. 33Ngài lấy ví dụ khác nữa mà phán rằng: Nước thiên đàng giống như men mà người đờn bà kia lấy trộn vào trong ba đấu bột, cho đến chừng nào bột dậy cả lên. 34Ðức Chúa Jêsus lấy lời ví dụ mà phán những điều đó cùng đoàn dân, Ngài chẳng phán điều gì cùng họ mà không dùng lời ví dụ, 35để được ứng nghiệm lời đấng tiên tri rằng: Ta sẽ mở miệng ra mà nói lời ví dụ, Ta sẽ rao bảo những điều kín nhiệm từ khi dựng nên trời đất. 36Bấy giờ, Ðức Chúa Jêsus cho chúng về, rồi vào nhà; môn đồ đến gần mà hỏi Ngài rằng: Xin thầy giải lời ví dụ về cỏ lùng trong ruộng cho chúng tôi. 37Ngài đáp rằng: Kẻ gieo giống tốt, là Con người; 38ruộng là thế gian; giống tốt, là con cái nước thiên đàng; cỏ lùng, là con cái quỉ dữ; 39kẻ nghịch thù gieo cỏ ấy, là ma quỉ; mùa gặt, là ngày tận thế; con gặt, là các thiên sứ. 40Còn người ta nhổ cỏ lùng mà đốt trong lửa thể nào, thì ngày tận thế cũng sẽ như vậy; 41Con người sẽ sai các thiên sứ Ngài thâu mọi gương xấu và những kẻ làm ác khỏi nước Ngài, 42và quăng những người đó vào lò lửa, là nơi sẽ có khóc lóc và nghiến răng. 43Khi ấy, những người công bình sẽ chói rạng như mặt trời trong nước của Cha mình. Ai có tai, hãy nghe! 44Nước thiên đàng giống như của báu chôn trong một đám ruộng kia. Một người kia tìm được thì giấu đi, vui mừng mà trở về, bán hết gia tài mình, mua đám ruộng đó. 45Nước thiên đàng lại giống như một người lái buôn kiếm ngọc châu tốt, 46khi đã tìm được một hột châu quí giá, thì đi bán hết gia tài mình mà mua hột châu đó. 47Nước thiên đàng cũng giống như một tay lưới thả xuống biển, bắt đủ mọi thứ cá. 48Khi lưới được đầy rồi, thì người đánh cá kéo lên bờ; đoạn, ngồi mà chọn giống tốt để riêng ra, đem bỏ vào rổ, còn giống xấu thì ném đi. 49Ðến ngày tận thế cũng như vầy: các thiên sứ sẽ đến và chia kẻ ác với người công bình ra, 50ném những kẻ ác vào lò lửa; ở đó sẽ có khóc lóc và nghiến răng. 51Các ngươi có hiểu mọi điều đó chăng! Các môn đồ thưa rằng: Có hiểu. 52Ngài bèn phán rằng: Vì cớ ấy, mọi thầy thông giáo đã học thông đạo về nước thiên đàng, thì giống như một người chủ nhà kia, đem những vật mới và cũ ở trong kho mình ra. 53Ðức Chúa Trời phán các lời ví dụ ấy rồi, thì đi khỏi chỗ đó. 54Ngài về đến quê hương, rồi dạy dỗ trong nhà hội, đến nỗi ai nghe cũng lấy làm lạ, mà nói rằng: Bởi đâu mà người nầy được khôn ngoan và những phép lạ nầy? 55Có phải là con người thợ mộc chăng? Mẹ người có phải là Ma-ri, và anh em người là Gia-cơ, Giô-sép, Si-môn, Giu-đê chăng? 56Chị em người đều ở giữa chúng ta chăng? Bởi đâu mà người nầy được mọi điều ấy như vậy? 57Họ bèn vì cớ Ngài mà vấp phạm. Song Ðức Chúa Jêsus phán cùng họ rằng: Ðấng tiên tri chỉ bị trong xứ mình và người nhà mình khinh dể mà thôi. 58Ở đó, Ngài không làm nhiều phép lạ, vì chúng không có lòng tin.
1On that day Jesus went out of the house, and sat by the seaside. 2Great multitudes gathered to him, so that he entered into a boat, and sat, and all the multitude stood on the beach. 3He spoke to them many things in parables, saying, “Behold, a farmer went out to sow. 4As he sowed, some seeds fell by the roadside, and the birds came and devoured them. 5Others fell on rocky ground, where they didn’t have much soil, and immediately they sprang up, because they had no depth of earth. 6When the sun had risen, they were scorched. Because they had no root, they withered away. 7Others fell among thorns. The thorns grew up and choked them. 8Others fell on good soil, and yielded fruit: some one hundred times as much, some sixty, and some thirty. 9He who has ears to hear, let him hear.” 10The disciples came, and said to him, “Why do you speak to them in parables?” 11He answered them, “To you it is given to know the mysteries of the Kingdom of Heaven, but it is not given to them. 12For whoever has, to him will be given, and he will have abundance, but whoever doesn’t have, from him will be taken away even that which he has. 13Therefore I speak to them in parables, because seeing they don’t see, and hearing, they don’t hear, neither do they understand. 14In them the prophecy of Isaiah is fulfilled, which says, ‘By hearing you will hear, and will in no way understand; Seeing you will see, and will in no way perceive: 15for this people’s heart has grown callous, their ears are dull of hearing, they have closed their eyes; or else perhaps they might perceive with their eyes, hear with their ears, understand with their heart, and should turn again; and I would heal them.’ 16“But blessed are your eyes, for they see; and your ears, for they hear. 17For most certainly I tell you that many prophets and righteous men desired to see the things which you see, and didn’t see them; and to hear the things which you hear, and didn’t hear them. 18“Hear, then, the parable of the farmer. 19When anyone hears the word of the Kingdom, and doesn’t understand it, the evil one comes, and snatches away that which has been sown in his heart. This is what was sown by the roadside. 20What was sown on the rocky places, this is he who hears the word, and immediately with joy receives it; 21yet he has no root in himself, but endures for a while. When oppression or persecution arises because of the word, immediately he stumbles. 22What was sown among the thorns, this is he who hears the word, but the cares of this age and the deceitfulness of riches choke the word, and he becomes unfruitful. 23What was sown on the good ground, this is he who hears the word, and understands it, who most certainly bears fruit, and produces, some one hundred times as much, some sixty, and some thirty.” 24He set another parable before them, saying, “The Kingdom of Heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field, 25but while people slept, his enemy came and sowed darnel weeds also among the wheat, and went away. 26But when the blade sprang up and produced fruit, then the darnel weeds appeared also. 27The servants of the householder came and said to him, ‘Sir, didn’t you sow good seed in your field? Where did this darnel come from?’ 28“He said to them, ‘An enemy has done this.’ “The servants asked him, ‘Do you want us to go and gather them up?’ 29“But he said, ‘No, lest perhaps while you gather up the darnel weeds, you root up the wheat with them. 30Let both grow together until the harvest, and in the harvest time I will tell the reapers, “First, gather up the darnel weeds, and bind them in bundles to burn them; but gather the wheat into my barn.”’” 31He set another parable before them, saying, “The Kingdom of Heaven is like a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and sowed in his field; 32which indeed is smaller than all seeds. But when it is grown, it is greater than the herbs, and becomes a tree, so that the birds of the air come and lodge in its branches.” 33He spoke another parable to them. “The Kingdom of Heaven is like yeast, which a woman took, and hid in three measuresof meal, until it was all leavened.” 34Jesus spoke all these things in parables to the multitudes; and without a parable, he didn’t speak to them, 35that it might be fulfilled which was spoken through the prophet, saying, “I will open my mouth in parables; I will utter things hidden from the foundation of the world.” 36Then Jesus sent the multitudes away, and went into the house. His disciples came to him, saying, “Explain to us the parable of the darnel weeds of the field.” 37He answered them, “He who sows the good seed is the Son of Man, 38the field is the world; and the good seed, these are the children of the Kingdom; and the darnel weeds are the children of the evil one. 39The enemy who sowed them is the devil. The harvest is the end of the age, and the reapers are angels. 40As therefore the darnel weeds are gathered up and burned with fire; so will it be at the end of this age. 41The Son of Man will send out his angels, and they will gather out of his Kingdom all things that cause stumbling, and those who do iniquity, 42and will cast them into the furnace of fire. There will be weeping and the gnashing of teeth. 43Then the righteous will shine like the sun in the Kingdom of their Father. He who has ears to hear, let him hear. 44“Again, the Kingdom of Heaven is like a treasure hidden in the field, which a man found, and hid. In his joy, he goes and sells all that he has, and buys that field. 45“Again, the Kingdom of Heaven is like a man who is a merchant seeking fine pearls, 46who having found one pearl of great price, he went and sold all that he had, and bought it. 47“Again, the Kingdom of Heaven is like a dragnet, that was cast into the sea, and gathered some fish of every kind, 48which, when it was filled, they drew up on the beach. They sat down, and gathered the good into containers, but the bad they threw away. 49So will it be in the end of the world. The angels will come and separate the wicked from among the righteous, 50and will cast them into the furnace of fire. There will be the weeping and the gnashing of teeth.” 51Jesus said to them, “Have you understood all these things?” They answered him, “Yes, Lord.” 52He said to them, “Therefore every scribe who has been made a disciple in the Kingdom of Heaven is like a man who is a householder, who brings out of his treasure new and old things.” 53When Jesus had finished these parables, he departed from there. 54Coming into his own country, he taught them in their synagogue, so that they were astonished, and said, “Where did this man get this wisdom, and these mighty works? 55Isn’t this the carpenter’s son? Isn’t his mother called Mary, and his brothers, James, Joses, Simon, and Judas? 56Aren’t all of his sisters with us? Where then did this man get all of these things?” 57They were offended by him. But Jesus said to them, “A prophet is not without honor, except in his own country, and in his own house.” 58He didn’t do many mighty works there because of their unbelief.
1En te dien dage Jezus, uit het huis gegaan zijnde, zat bij de zee. 2En tot Hem vergaderden vele scharen, zodat Hij in een schip ging en nederzat, en al de schare stond op den oever. 3En Hij sprak tot hen vele dingen door gelijkenissen, zeggende: Ziet, een zaaier ging uit om te zaaien. 4En als hij zaaide, viel een deel van het zaad bij den weg; en de vogelen kwamen en aten datzelve op. 5En een ander deel viel op steenachtige plaatsen, waar het niet veel aarde had; en het ging terstond op, omdat het geen diepte van aarde had. 6Maar als de zon opgegaan was, zo is het verbrand geworden; en omdat het geen wortel had, is het verdord. 7En een ander deel viel in de doornen; en de doornen wiesen op, en verstikten hetzelve. 8En een ander deel viel in de goede aarde, en gaf vrucht, het een honderd-, het ander zestig-, en het ander dertig voud. 9Wie oren heeft om te horen, die hore. 10En de discipelen tot Hem komende, zeiden tot Hem: Waarom spreekt Gij tot hen door gelijkenissen? 11En Hij, antwoordende, zeide tot hen: Omdat het u gegeven is, de verborgenheden van het Koninkrijk der hemelen te weten, maar dien is het niet gegeven. 12Want wie heeft, dien zal gegeven worden, en hij zal overvloediglijk hebben; maar wie niet heeft, van dien zal genomen worden, ook dat hij heeft. 13Daarom spreek Ik tot hen door gelijkenissen, omdat zij ziende niet zien, en horende niet horen, noch ook verstaan. 14En in hen wordt de profetie van Jesaja vervuld, die zegt: Met het gehoor zult gij horen, en geenszins verstaan; en ziende zult gij zien, en geenszins bemerken. 15Want het hart dezes volks is dik geworden, en zij hebben met de oren zwaarlijk gehoord, en hun ogen hebben zij toegedaan; opdat zij niet te eniger tijd met de ogen zouden zien, en met de oren horen, en met het hart verstaan, en zich bekeren, en Ik hen geneze. 16Doch uw ogen zijn zalig, omdat zij zien, en uw oren, omdat zij horen. 17Want voorwaar zeg Ik u, dat vele profeten en rechtvaardigen hebben begeerd te zien de dingen, die gij ziet, en hebben ze niet gezien; en te horen de dingen, die gij hoort, en hebben ze niet gehoord. 18Gij dan, hoort de gelijkenis van den zaaier. 19Als iemand dat Woord des Koninkrijks hoort, en niet verstaat, zo komt de boze, en rukt weg, hetgeen in zijn hart gezaaid was; deze is degene, die bij den weg bezaaid is. 20Maar die in steenachtige plaatsen bezaaid is, deze is degene, die het Woord hoort, en dat terstond met vreugde ontvangt; 21Doch hij heeft geen wortel in zichzelven, maar is voor een tijd; en als verdrukking of vervolging komt, om des Woords wil, zo wordt hij terstond geergerd. 22En die in de doornen bezaaid is, deze is degene, die het Woord hoort; en de zorgvuldigheid dezer wereld, en de verleiding des rijkdoms verstikt het Woord, en het wordt onvruchtbaar. 23Die nu in de goede aarde bezaaid is, deze is degene, die het Woord hoort en verstaat, die ook vrucht draagt en voortbrengt, de een honderd-, de ander zestig-, en de ander dertig voud. 24Een andere gelijkenis heeft Hij hun voorgesteld, zeggende: Het Koninkrijk der hemelen is gelijk aan een mens, die goed zaad zaaide in zijn akker. 25En als de mensen sliepen, kwam zijn vijand, en zaaide onkruid midden in de tarwe, en ging weg. 26Toen het nu tot kruid opgeschoten was, en vrucht voortbracht, toen openbaarde zich ook het onkruid. 27En de dienstknechten van den heer des huizes gingen en zeiden tot hem: Heere! hebt gij niet goed zaad in uw akker gezaaid? Van waar heeft hij dan dit onkruid? 28En hij zeide tot hen: Een vijandig mens heeft dat gedaan. En de dienstknechten zeiden tot hem: Wilt gij dan, dat wij heengaan en datzelve vergaderen? 29Maar hij zeide: Neen, opdat gij, het onkruid vergaderende, ook mogelijk met hetzelve de tarwe niet uittrekt. 30Laat ze beiden te zamen opwassen tot den oogst, en in den tijd des oogstes zal ik tot de maaiers zeggen: Vergadert eerst dat onkruid, en bindt het in busselen, om hetzelve te verbranden; maar brengt de tarwe samen in mijn schuur. 31Een andere gelijkenis heeft Hij hun voorgesteld, zeggende: Het Koninkrijk der hemelen is gelijk aan het mosterdzaad, hetwelk een mens heeft genomen en in zijn akker gezaaid; 32Hetwelk wel het minste is onder al de zaden, maar wanneer het opgewassen is, dan is 't het meeste van de moeskruiden, en het wordt een boom, alzo dat de vogelen des hemels komen en nestelen in zijn takken. 33Een andere gelijkenis sprak Hij tot hen, zeggende: Het Koninkrijk der hemelen is gelijk aan een zuurdesem, welken een vrouw nam en verborg in drie maten meels, totdat het geheel gezuurd was. 34Al deze dingen heeft Jezus tot de scharen gesproken door gelijkenissen, en zonder gelijkenis sprak Hij tot hen niet. 35Opdat vervuld zou worden, wat gesproken is door den profeet, zeggende: Ik zal Mijn mond opendoen door gelijkenissen; Ik zal voortbrengen dingen, die verborgen waren van de grondlegging der wereld. 36Toen nu Jezus de scharen van Zich gelaten had, ging Hij naar huis. En Zijn discipelen kwamen tot Hem, zeggende: Verklaar ons de gelijkenis van het onkruid des akkers. 37En Hij, antwoordende, zeide tot hen: Die het goede zaad zaait, is de Zoon des mensen; 38En de akker is de wereld; en het goede zaad zijn de kinderen des Koninkrijks; en het onkruid zijn de kinderen des bozen; 39En de vijand, die hetzelve gezaaid heeft, is de duivel; en de oogst is de voleinding der wereld; en de maaiers zijn de engelen. 40Gelijkerwijs dan het onkruid vergaderd, en met vuur verbrand wordt, alzo zal het ook zijn in de voleinding dezer wereld. 41De Zoon des mensen zal Zijn engelen uitzenden, en zij zullen uit Zijn Koninkrijk vergaderen al de ergernissen, en degenen, die de ongerechtigheid doen; 42En zullen dezelve in den vurigen oven werpen; daar zal wening zijn en knersing der tanden. 43Dan zullen de rechtvaardigen blinken, gelijk de zon, in het Koninkrijk huns Vaders. Die oren heeft om te horen, die hore. 44Wederom is het Koninkrijk der hemelen gelijk aan een schat, in den akker verborgen, welken een mens gevonden hebbende, verborg dien, en van blijdschap over denzelven, gaat hij heen en verkoopt al wat hij heeft, en koopt dienzelven akker. 45Wederom is het Koninkrijk der hemelen gelijk aan een koopman, die schone parelen zoekt; 46Dewelke, hebbende een parel van grote waarde gevonden, ging heen en verkocht al wat hij had, en kocht dezelve. 47Wederom is het Koninkrijk der hemelen gelijk aan een net, geworpen in de zee, en dat allerlei soorten van vissen samenbrengt; 48Hetwelk, wanneer het vol geworden is, de vissers aan den oever optrekken, en nederzittende, lezen het goede uit in hun vaten, maar het kwade werpen zij weg. 49Alzo zal het in de voleinding der eeuwen wezen; de engelen zullen uitgaan, en de bozen uit het midden der rechtvaardigen afscheiden; 50En zullen dezelve in den vurigen oven werpen; daar zal zijn wening en knersing der tanden. 51En Jezus zeide tot hen: Hebt gij dit alles verstaan? Zij zeiden tot Hem: Ja, Heere! 52En Hij zeide tot hen: Daarom, een iegelijk Schriftgeleerde, in het Koninkrijk der hemelen onderwezen, is gelijk aan een heer des huizes, die uit zijn schat nieuwe en oude dingen voortbrengt. 53En het is geschied, als Jezus deze gelijkenissen geeindigd had, vertrok Hij van daar. 54En gekomen zijnde in Zijn vaderland, leerde Hij hen in hun synagoge, zodat zij zich ontzetten, en zeiden: Van waar komt Dezen die wijsheid en die krachten? 55Is Deze niet de Zoon des timmermans? en is Zijn moeder niet genaamd Maria, en Zijn broeders Jakobus en Joses, en Simon en Judas? 56En Zijn zusters, zijn zij niet allen bij ons? Van waar komt dan Dezen dit alles? 57En zij werden aan Hem geergerd. Maar Jezus zeide tot hen: Een profeet is niet ongeeerd, dan in zijn vaderland, en in zijn huis. 58En Hij heeft aldaar niet vele krachten gedaan, vanwege hun ongeloof.
