Hô-sêa 8

1Miệng ngươi khá thổi kèn! Nó như chim ưng đến nghịch cùng nhà Ðức Giê-hô-va, vì chúng nó đã trái lời giao ước ta, va đã phạm luật pháp ta. 2Chúng nó sẽ kêu đến ta rằng: Hỡi Ðức Chúa Trời tôi, chúng tôi là Y-sơ-ra-ên, nhận biết Ngài! 3Y-sơ-ra-ên đã bỏ điều lành, kẻ nghịch sẽ đuổi theo nó. 4Chúng nó đã lập vua mà không bởi ta, lập quan trọng mà ta không biết. Chúng nó lấy bạc vàng của mình làm thần tượng cho mình, để chúng nó bị dứt đi. 5Hỡi Sa-ma-ri, bò con của ngươi đã bị bỏ rồi! Cơn giận của ta đã phừng lên nghịch cùng chúng nó. Chúng nó chẳng được khỏi tội cho đến khi nào? 6Vì bò con đó thật là việc của Y-sơ-ra-ên làm ra; một người thợ đã chế ra, nó không phải là Ðức Chúa Trời. Thật, bò con của Sa-ma-ri sẽ bị bể nát. 7Vì chúng nó đã gieo gió và sẽ gặt bão lốc. Chúng nó không có lúa đứng; cây lúa sẽ không sanh ra bột; mà dầu có sanh ra nữa, thì dân ngoại sẽ nuốt lấy. 8Y-sơ-ra-ên đã bị nuốt. Bây giờ chúng nó ở giữa các dân, như khí mạnh chẳng ai ưa thích. 9Vì chúng nó đã lên A-si-ri, như con lừa rừng đi một mình; Ép-ra-im đã hối lộ cho những kẻ yêu nó. 10Dầu chúng nó hối lộ giữa các nước, nay ta sẽ nhóm họp chúng nó; chúng nó bắt đầu giảm bớt đi, vì cớ sự gánh nặng bởi vua của các quan trưởng. 11Vì Ép-ra-im đã thêm nhiều bàn thờ đặng phạm tội, thì những bàn thờ nó đã khiến nó sa vào tội lỗi. 12Ta đã chép lệ luật ta cho nó một vạn điều, nhưng nó coi những chẳng can gì đến mình. 13Còn như của lễ dâng cho ta, thì chúng nó dâng thịt và ăn; nhưng Ðức Giê-hô-va chẳng nhận chúng nó đâu. Bây giờ Ngài nhớ lại sự gian ác chúng nó, và sẽ thăm phạt tội lỗi chúng nó; chúng nó sẽ trở về trong Ê-díp-tô! 14Y-sơ-ra-ên đã quên Ðấng tạo mình, và dựng những cung đền; Giu-đa đã thêm nhiều các thành bền vững. Nhưng ta sẽ sai lửa trên các thành nó, và lửa ấy sẽ thiêu cháy cung đền nó.

1“Put the trumpet to your lips! Something like an eagle is over Yahweh’s house, because they have broken my covenant, and rebelled against my law. 2They cry to me, ‘My God, we Israel acknowledge you!’ 3Israel has cast off that which is good. The enemy will pursue him. 4They have set up kings, but not by me. They have made princes, and I didn’t approve. Of their silver and their gold they have made themselves idols, that they may be cut off. 5Let Samaria throw out his calf idol! My anger burns against them! How long will it be until they are capable of purity? 6For this is even from Israel! The workman made it, and it is no God; indeed, the calf of Samaria shall be broken in pieces. 7For they sow the wind, and they will reap the whirlwind. He has no standing grain. The stalk will yield no head. If it does yield, strangers will swallow it up. 8Israel is swallowed up. Now they are among the nations like a worthless thing. 9For they have gone up to Assyria, like a wild donkey wandering alone. Ephraim has hired lovers for himself. 10But although they sold themselves among the nations, I will now gather them; and they begin to waste away because of the oppression of the king of mighty ones. 11Because Ephraim has multiplied altars for sinning, they became for him altars for sinning. 12I wrote for him the many things of my law; but they were regarded as a strange thing. 13As for the sacrifices of my offerings, they sacrifice flesh and eat it; But Yahweh doesn’t accept them. Now he will remember their iniquity, and punish their sins. They will return to Egypt. 14For Israel has forgotten his Maker and built palaces; and Judah has multiplied fortified cities; but I will send a fire on his cities, and it will devour its fortresses.”

1De bazuin aan uw mond; hij komt als een arend tegen het huis des HEEREN; omdat zij Mijn verbond hebben overtreden, en zijn tegen Mijn wet afvallig geworden. 2Dan zullen zij tot Mij roepen: Mijn God! wij, Israel, kennen U. 3Israel heeft het goede verstoten; de vijand zal hem vervolgen. 4Zij hebben koningen gemaakt, maar niet uit Mij; zij hebben vorsten gesteld, maar Ik heb het niet gekend; van hun zilver en hun goud hebben zij voor zichzelven afgoden gemaakt, opdat zij uitgeroeid worden. 5Uw kalf, o Samaria! heeft u verstoten; Mijn toorn is tegen hen ontstoken; hoe lang zullen zij de reinigheid niet verdragen? 6Want dat is ook uit Israel; een werkmeester heeft het gemaakt, en het is geen God, maar het zal tot stukken worden, het kalf van Samaria. 7Want zij hebben wind gezaaid, en zullen een wervelwind maaien; het zal geen staande koren hebben, het uitspruitsel zal geen meel maken; of het misschien maakte, vreemden zullen het verslinden. 8Israel is verslonden; nu zijn zij onder de heidenen geworden, gelijk een vat, waar men geen lust toe heeft. 9Want zij zijn opgetogen naar Assur, een woudezel, die alleen voor zichzelven is; die van Efraim hebben boelen om hoerenloon gehuurd. 10Dewijl zij dan onder de heidenen boelen om hoerenloon gehuurd hebben, zo zal Ik die nu ook verzamelen; ja, zij hebben al een weinig begonnen, vanwege den last van den koning der vorsten. 11Omdat Efraim de altaren vermenigvuldigd heeft tot zondigen, zo zijn hem de altaren geworden tot zondigen. 12Ik schrijf hem de voortreffelijkheden Mijner wet voor; maar die zijn geacht als wat vreemds. 13Aangaande de offeranden Mijner gaven, zij offeren vlees, en eten het, maar de HEERE heeft aan hen geen welgevallen. Nu zal Hij hunner ongerechtigheid gedenken, en hun zonden bezoeken; zij zullen weder in Egypte keren. 14Want Israel heeft zijn Maker vergeten, en tempelen gebouwd, en Juda heeft vaste steden vermenigvuldigd; maar Ik zal een vuur zenden in zijn steden, dat zal haar paleizen verteren.
