Hô-sêa 14

1Hỡi Y-sơ-ra-ên, hãy trở lại cùng Giê-hô-va Ðức Chúa Trời ngươi, vì ấy là tại tội lỗi ngươi làm cho ngươi sa ngã. 2Các ngươi khá lấy lời nói trở lại cùng Ngài rằng: Xin cất mọi sự gian ác đi, và nhậm sự tốt lành, vậy chúng ta sẽ dâng lời ngợi khen ở môi chúng tôi thay vì con bò đực. 3A-si-ri sẽ không giải cứu chúng tôi, chúng tôi sẽ không cỡi ngựa chiến nữa, không nói với đồ bởi tay chúng tôi làm ra mà rằng: Các ngài là thần của chúng tôi! Vì ấy là trong Ngài mà kẻ mồ côi tìm thấy sự thương xót! 4Ta sẽ chữa lành sự bội nghịch của chúng nó. Ta sẽ lấy lòng tốt yêu chúng nó; vì cơn giận của ta đã xây khỏi nó rồi. 5Ta sẽ như là sương móc cho Y-sơ-ra-ên; nó trổ hoa như bông huệ, và đâm rễ như Li-ban. 6Những nhánh nó giang ra tận xa; sự xinh tốt của nó sẽ giống như sự xinh tốt của cây ô-li-ve, mùi thơm của nó như mùi thơm của Li-ban. 7Những kẻ ngồi dưới bóng nó sẽ trở về; chúng nó sẽ tỉnh lại như cây lúa. Chúng nó sẽ trổ hoa như cây nho, và mùi thơm chúng nó sẽ như rượu Li-ban. 8Ép-ra-im sẽ nói: Ta với những thần tượng có sự thông đồng gì được nữa sao? Ta đã trả lời và sẽ đoái xem nó. Ta như là một cây tùng xanh; bởi ta mà sanh ra hoa trái ngươi. 9Ai là khôn ngoan mà hiểu những sự nầy? Ai là giỏi giang mà biết những sự đó? Vì các đường lối của Ðức Giê-hô-va là ngay thẳng; những kẻ công bình sẽ bước đi trong đó, còn những kẻ phạm phép thì vấp ngã trong đó.

1Israel, return to Yahweh your God; for you have fallen because of your sin. 2Take words with you, and return to Yahweh. Tell him, “Forgive all our sins, and accept that which is good: so we offer our lips like bulls. 3Assyria can’t save us. We won’t ride on horses; neither will we say any more to the work of our hands, ‘Our gods!’ for in you the fatherless finds mercy.” 4“I will heal their waywardness. I will love them freely; for my anger is turned away from him. 5I will be like the dew to Israel. He will blossom like the lily, and send down his roots like Lebanon. 6His branches will spread, and his beauty will be like the olive tree, and his fragrance like Lebanon. 7Men will dwell in his shade. They will revive like the grain, and blossom like the vine. Their fragrance will be like the wine of Lebanon. 8Ephraim, what have I to do any more with idols? I answer, and will take care of him. I am like a green fir tree; from me your fruit is found.” 9Who is wise, that he may understand these things? Who is prudent, that he may know them? For the ways of Yahweh are right, and the righteous walk in them; But the rebellious stumble in them.

1Bekeer u, o Israel! tot den HEERE, uw God, toe; want gij zijt gevallen om uw ongerechtigheid. 2Neem deze woorden met u, en bekeer u tot den HEERE; zeg tot Hem: Neem weg alle ongerechtigheid, en geef het goede, zo zullen wij betalen de varren onzer lippen. 3Assur zal ons niet behouden, wij zullen niet rijden op paarden, en tot het werk onzer handen niet meer zeggen: Gij zijt onze God. Immers zal een wees bij U ontfermd worden. 4Ik zal hunlieder afkering genezen, Ik zal hen vrijwilliglijk liefhebben; want Mijn toorn is van hem gekeerd. 5Ik zal Israel zijn als de dauw; hij zal bloeien als de lelie, en hij zal zijn wortelen uitslaan als de Libanon. 6Zijn scheuten zullen zich uitspreiden, en zijn heerlijkheid zal zijn als des olijfbooms, en hij zal een reuk hebben als de Libanon. 7Zij zullen wederkeren, zittende onder zijn schaduw; zij zullen ten leven voortbrengen als koren, en bloeien als de wijnstok; zijn gedachtenis zal zijn als de wijn van Libanon. 8Efraim! wat heb Ik meer met de afgoden te doen? Ik heb hem verhoord, en zal op hem zien; Ik zal hem zijn als een groenende denneboom; uw vrucht is uit Mij gevonden. 9Wie is wijs? die versta deze dingen; wie is verstandig? die bekenne ze; want des HEEREN wegen zijn recht, en de rechtvaardigen zullen daarin wandelen, maar de overtreders zullen daarin vallen.
