1Vả, Ðức Chúa Trời nhớ lại Nô-ê cùng các loài thú và súc vật ở trong tàu với người, bèn khiến một trận gió thổi ngang qua trên đất, thì nước dừng lại. 2Các nguồn của vực lớn và các đập trên trời lấp ngăn lại; mưa trên trời không sa xuống nữa. 3Nước giựt khỏi mặt đất, lần lần vừa hạ vừa giựt; trong một trăm năm mươi ngày nước mới bớt xuống. 4Ðến tháng bảy, ngày mười bảy, chiếc tàu tấp trên núi A-ra-rát. 5Nước cứ lần lần hạ cho đến tháng mười; ngày mồng một tháng đó, mấy đỉnh núi mới lộ ra. 6Ðược bốn mươi ngày, Nô-ê mở cửa sổ mình đã làm trên tàu, 7thả một con quạ ra; quạ liệng đi liệng lại cho đến khi nước giựt khô trên mặt đất. 8Người cũng thả một con bò câu ra, đặng xem thử nước hạ bớt trên mặt đất chưa. 9Nhưng bò câu chẳng tìm được nơi nào đáp chơn xuống, bèn bay trở về trong tàu cùng người, vì nước còn khắp cả trên mặt đất. Nô-ê giơ tay bắt lấy bò câu, đem vào tàu lại với mình. 10Ðoạn, người đợi bảy ngày nữa, lại thả bò câu ra khỏi tàu; 11đến chiều bò câu về cùng người, và nầy, trong mỏ tha một lá Ô-li-ve tươi; Nô-ê hiểu rằng nước đã giảm bớt trên mặt đất. 12Người đợi bảy ngày nữa, thả bò câu ra; nhưng chuyến nầy bò câu chẳng trở về cùng người nữa. 13Nhằm năm sáu trăm một của đời Nô-ê, ngày mồng một, tháng giêng, nước đã giựt bày mặt đất khô; Nô-ê bèn giở mui tàu mà nhìn; nầy, mặt đất đã se. 14Ðến tháng hai, ngày hai mươi bảy, đất đã khô rồi. 15Ðức Chúa Trời bèn phán cùng Nô-ê rằng: 16Hãy ra khỏi tàu, ngươi, vợ các con và các dâu ngươi. 17Hãy thả ra với ngươi mọi vật sống của các xác thịt đã ở cùng ngươi: nào chim, nào thú, nào côn trùng bò trên đất, hầu cho chúng nó sanh sản, và thêm nhiều trên mặt đất. 18Vậy, Nô-ê cùng vợ người, các con trai và các dâu người ra khỏi tàu. 19Các thú, rắn, chim cùng mọi vật hành động trên mặt đất tùy theo giống đều ra khỏi tàu. 20Nô-ê lập một bàn thờ cho Ðức Giê-hô-va. Người bắt các súc vật thanh sạch, các loài chim thanh sạch, bày của lễ thiêu dâng lên bàn thờ. 21Ðức Giê-hô-va hưởng lấy mùi thơm và nghĩ thầm rằng: Ta chẳng vì loài người mà rủa sả đất nữa, vì tâm tánh loài người vẫn xấu xa từ khi còn tuổi trẻ; ta cũng sẽ chẳng hành các vật sống như ta đã làm. 22Hễ đất còn, thì mùa gieo giống cùng mùa gặt hái, lạnh và nóng, mùa hạ cùng mùa đông, ngày và đêm, chẳng bao giờ tuyệt được.
1God remembered Noah, all the animals, and all the livestock that were with him in the ship; and God made a wind to pass over the earth. The waters subsided. 2The deep’s fountains and the sky’s windows were also stopped, and the rain from the sky was restrained. 3The waters continually receded from the earth. After the end of one hundred fifty days the waters decreased. 4The ship rested in the seventh month, on the seventeenth day of the month, on Ararat’s mountains. 5The waters receded continually until the tenth month. In the tenth month, on the first day of the month, the tops of the mountains were visible. 6At the end of forty days, Noah opened the window of the ship which he had made, 7and he sent out a raven. It went back and forth, until the waters were dried up from the earth. 8He himself sent out a dove to see if the waters were abated from the surface of the ground, 9but the dove found no place to rest her foot, and she returned to him into the ship, for the waters were on the surface of the whole earth. He put out his hand, and took her, and brought her to him into the ship. 10He waited yet another seven days; and again he sent the dove out of the ship. 11The dove came back to him at evening and, behold, in her mouth was a freshly plucked olive leaf. So Noah knew that the waters were abated from the earth. 12He waited yet another seven days, and sent out the dove; and she didn’t return to him anymore. 13In the six hundred first year, in the first month, the first day of the month, the waters were dried up from the earth. Noah removed the covering of the ship, and looked. He saw that the surface of the ground was dried. 14In the second month, on the twenty-seventh day of the month, the earth was dry. 15God spoke to Noah, saying, 16“Go out of the ship, you, and your wife, and your sons, and your sons’ wives with you. 17Bring out with you every living thing that is with you of all flesh, including birds, livestock, and every creeping thing that creeps on the earth, that they may breed abundantly in the earth, and be fruitful, and multiply on the earth.” 18Noah went out, with his sons, his wife, and his sons’ wives with him. 19Every animal, every creeping thing, and every bird, whatever moves on the earth, after their families, went out of the ship. 20Noah built an altar to Yahweh, and took of every clean animal, and of every clean bird, and offered burnt offerings on the altar. 21Yahweh smelled the pleasant aroma. Yahweh said in his heart, “I will not again curse the ground any more for man’s sake because the imagination of man’s heart is evil from his youth; neither will I ever again strike every living thing, as I have done. 22While the earth remains, seed time and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night will not cease.”
1En God gedacht aan Noach, en aan al het gedierte, en aan al het vee, dat met hem in de ark was; en God deed een wind over de aarde doorgaan, en de wateren werden stil. 2Ook werden de fonteinen des afgronds, en de sluizen des hemels gesloten, en de plasregen van den hemel werd opgehouden. 3Daartoe keerden de wateren weder van boven de aarde, heen en weder vloeiende, en de wateren namen af ten einde van honderd en vijftig dagen. 4En de ark rustte in de zevende maand, op den zeventiende dag der maand, op de bergen van Ararat. 5En de wateren waren gaande, en afnemende tot de tiende maand; in de tiende maand, op den eerste der maand, werden de toppen der bergen gezien. 6En het geschiedde, ten einde van veertig dagen, dat Noach het venster der ark, die hij gemaakt had, opendeed. 7En hij liet een raaf uit, die dikwijls heen en weder ging, totdat de wateren van boven de aarde verdroogd waren. 8Daarna liet hij een duif van zich uit, om te zien, of de wateren gelicht waren van boven den aardbodem. 9Maar de duif vond geen rust voor het hol van haar voet; zo keerde zij weder tot hem in de ark; want de wateren waren op de ganse aarde; en hij stak zijn hand uit, en nam haar, en bracht haar tot zich in de ark. 10En hij verbeidde nog zeven andere dagen; toen liet hij de duif wederom uit de ark. 11En de duif kwam tot hem tegen den avondtijd; en ziet, een afgebroken olijfblad was in haar bek; zo merkte Noach, dat de wateren van boven de aarde gelicht waren. 12Toen vertoefde hij nog zeven andere dagen; en hij liet de duif uit; maar zij keerde niet meer weder tot hem. 13En het geschiedde in het zeshonderd en eerste jaar, in de eerste maand, op den eersten derzelver maand, dat de wateren droogden van boven de aarde; toen deed Noach het deksel der ark af, en zag toe, en ziet, de aardbodem was gedroogd. 14En in de tweede maand, op den zeven en twintigsten dag der maand, was de aarde opgedroogd. 15Toen sprak God tot Noach, zeggende: 16Ga uit de ark, gij, en uw huisvrouw, en uw zonen, en de vrouwen uwer zonen met u. 17Al het gedierte, dat met u is, van alle vlees, aan gevogelte, en aan vee, en aan al het kruipend gedierte, dat op de aarde kruipt, doe met u uitgaan; en dat zij overvloediglijk voorttelen op de aarde, en vruchtbaar zijn, en vermenigvuldigen op de aarde. 18Toen ging Noach uit, en zijn zonen, en zijn huisvrouw, en de vrouwen zijner zonen met hem. 19Al het gedierte, al het kruipende, en al het gevogelte, al wat zich op de aarde roert, naar hun geslachten, gingen uit de ark. 20En Noach bouwde den HEERE een altaar; en hij nam van al het reine vee, en van al het rein gevogelte, en offerde brandofferen op dat altaar. 21En de HEERE rook dien liefelijken reuk, en de HEERE zeide in Zijn hart: Ik zal voortaan den aardbodem niet meer vervloeken om des mensen wil; want het gedichtsel van 's mensen hart is boos van zijn jeugd aan; en Ik zal voortaan niet meer al het levende slaan, gelijk als Ik gedaan heb. 22Voortaan al de dagen der aarde zullen zaaiing en oogst, en koude en hitte, en zomer en winter, en dag en nacht, niet ophouden.
