2 Cô-rinh-tô 5

1Vả, chúng ta biết rằng nếu nhà tạm của chúng ta dưới đất đổ nát, thì chúng ta lại có nhà đời đời trên trời, bởi Ðức Chúa Trời, không phải bởi tay người làm ra. 2Vì chúng ta thật than thở trong nhà tạm nầy, mà hết sức mong được mặc lấy nhà chúng ta từ trên trời, 3miễn là gặp thấy chúng ta đang mặc áo, không trần truồng. 4Bởi chưng chúng ta ở trong nhà tạm nầy, than thở dưới gánh nặng, vì chúng ta không cầu cho bị lột trần, song cầu cho được mặc lại, để sự gì hay chết trong chúng ta bị sự sống nuốt đi. 5Ðấng đã gây dựng chúng ta cho được sự ấy, ấy là Ðức Chúa Trời, đã ban của tin của Ðức Thánh Linh cho chúng ta. 6Vậy, chúng ta hằng đầy lòng tin cậy, và biết rằng khi chúng ta đang ở trong thân thể nầy thì cách xa Chúa 7vì chúng ta bước đi bởi đức tin, chớ chẳng phải bởi mắt thấy. 8Vậy tôi nói, chúng ta đầy lòng tin cậy, muốn lìa bỏ thân thể nầy đặng ở cùng Chúa thì hơn. 9Cho nên chúng ta dầu ở trong thân thể nầy, dầu ra khỏi, cũng làm hết sức để được đẹp lòng Chúa. 10Bởi vì chúng ta thảy đều phải ứng hầu trước tòa án Ðấng Christ, hầu cho mỗi người nhận lãnh tùy theo điều thiện hay điều ác mình đã làm lúc còn trong xác thịt. 11Vậy chúng tôi biết Chúa đáng kính sợ, nên tìm cách làm cho người ta đều tin; Ðức Chúa Trời biết chúng tôi, và tôi mong anh em cũng biết chúng tôi trong lương tâm mình. 12Chúng tôi chẳng lại phô mình cùng anh em, nhưng muốn trao cho anh em cái dịp khoe mình về chúng tôi, đặng anh em có thể đối đáp lại cùng những kẻ chỉ khoe mình về bề ngoài, mà không về sự trong lòng. 13Vả, hoặc chúng tôi cuồng, ấy là vì Ðức Chúa Trời; hoặc chúng tôi dè giữ, ấy là vì anh em. 14Vì tình yêu thương của Ðấng Christ cảm động chúng tôi, và chúng tôi tưởng rằng nếu có một người chết vì mọi người, thì mọi người đều chết, 15lại Ngài đã chết vì mọi người, hầu cho những kẻ còn sống không vì chính mình mà sống nữa, nhưng sống vì Ðấng đã chết và sống lại cho mình. 16Bởi đó, từ rày về sau, chúng tôi không theo xác thịt mà nhận biết ai nữa; và, dẫu chúng tôi từng theo xác thịt mà nhận biết Ðấng Christ, song cũng chẳng còn nhận biết Ngài cách ấy đâu. 17Vậy, nếu ai ở trong Ðấng Christ, thì nấy là người dựng nên mới; những sự cũ đã qua đi, nầy mọi sự đều trở nên mới. 18Mọi điều đó đến bởi Ðức Chúa Trời, Ngài đã làm cho chúng ta nhờ Ðấng Christ mà được hòa thuận lại cùng Ngài, và giao chức vụ giảng hòa cho chúng ta. 19Vì chưng Ðức Chúa Trời vốn ở trong Ðấng Christ, làm cho thế gian lại hòa với Ngài, chẳng kể tội lỗi cho loài người, và đã phó đạo giảng hòa cho chúng tôi. 20Vậy chúng tôi làm chức khâm sai của Ðấng Christ, cũng như Ðức Chúa Trời bởi chúng tôi mà khuyên bảo. Chúng tôi nhơn danh Ðấng Christ mà nài xin anh em: hãy hòa thuận lại với Ðức Chúa Trời. 21Ðức Chúa Trời đã làm cho Ðấng vốn chẳng biết tội lỗi trở nên tội lỗi vì chúng ta, hầu cho chúng ta nhờ Ðấng đó mà được trở nên sự công bình của Ðức Chúa Trời.

1For we know that if the earthly house of our tent is dissolved, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal, in the heavens. 2For most certainly in this we groan, longing to be clothed with our habitation which is from heaven; 3if so be that being clothed we will not be found naked. 4For indeed we who are in this tent do groan, being burdened; not that we desire to be unclothed, but that we desire to be clothed, that what is mortal may be swallowed up by life. 5Now he who made us for this very thing is God, who also gave to us the down payment of the Spirit. 6Therefore we are always confident and know that while we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord; 7for we walk by faith, not by sight. 8We are courageous, I say, and are willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be at home with the Lord. 9Therefore also we make it our aim, whether at home or absent, to be well pleasing to him. 10For we must all be revealed before the judgment seat of Christ; that each one may receive the things in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad. 11Knowing therefore the fear of the Lord, we persuade men, but we are revealed to God; and I hope that we are revealed also in your consciences. 12For we are not commending ourselves to you again, but speak as giving you occasion of boasting on our behalf, that you may have something to answer those who boast in appearance, and not in heart. 13For if we are beside ourselves, it is for God. Or if we are of sober mind, it is for you. 14For the love of Christ constrains us; because we judge thus, that one died for all, therefore all died. 15He died for all, that those who live should no longer live to themselves, but to him who for their sakes died and rose again. 16Therefore we know no one after the flesh from now on. Even though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now we know him so no more. 17Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new. 18But all things are of God, who reconciled us to himself through Jesus Christ, and gave to us the ministry of reconciliation; 19namely, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to himself, not reckoning to them their trespasses, and having committed to us the word of reconciliation. 20We are therefore ambassadors on behalf of Christ, as though God were entreating by us: we beg you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God. 21For him who knew no sin he made to be sin on our behalf; so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.

1Want wij weten, dat, zo ons aardse huis dezes tabernakels gebroken wordt, wij een gebouw van God hebben, een huis niet met handen gemaakt, maar eeuwig in de hemelen. 2Want ook in dezen zuchten wij, verlangende met onze woonstede, die uit den hemel is, overkleed te worden. 3Zo wij ook bekleed en niet naakt zullen gevonden worden. 4Want ook wij, die in dezen tabernakel zijn, zuchten, bezwaard zijnde; nademaal wij niet willen ontkleed, maar overkleed worden, opdat het sterfelijke van het leven verslonden worde. 5Die ons nu tot ditzelfde bereid heeft, is God, Die ons ook het onderpand des Geestes gegeven heeft. 6Wij hebben dan altijd goeden moed, en weten, dat wij, inwonende in het lichaam, uitwonen van den Heere; 7(Want wij wandelen door geloof en niet door aanschouwen.) 8Maar wij hebben goeden moed, en hebben meer behagen om uit het lichaam uit te wonen, en bij den Heere in te wonen. 9Daarom zijn wij ook zeer begerig, hetzij inwonende, hetzij uitwonende, om Hem welbehagelijk te zijn. 10Want wij allen moeten geopenbaard worden voor den rechterstoel van Christus, opdat een iegelijk wegdrage, hetgeen door het lichaam geschiedt, naardat hij gedaan heeft, hetzij goed, hetzij kwaad. 11Wij dan, wetende den schrik des Heeren, bewegen de mensen tot het geloof, en zijn Gode openbaar geworden; doch ik hoop ook in uw gewetens geopenbaard te zijn. 12Want wij prijzen onszelven u niet wederom aan, maar wij geven u oorzaak van roem over ons, opdat gij stof zoudt hebben tegen degenen, die in het aangezicht roemen en niet in het hart. 13Want hetzij dat wij uitzinnig zijn, wij zijn het Gode; hetzij dat wij gematigd van zinnen zijn, wij zijn het ulieden. 14Want de liefde van Christus dringt ons; 15Als die dit oordelen, dat, indien Een voor allen gestorven is, zij dan allen gestorven zijn. En Hij is voor allen gestorven, opdat degenen, die leven, niet meer zichzelven zouden leven, maar Dien, Die voor hen gestorven en opgewekt is. 16Zo dan, wij kennen van nu aan niemand naar het vlees; en indien wij ook Christus naar het vlees gekend hebben, nochtans kennen wij Hem nu niet meer naar het vlees. 17Zo dan, indien iemand in Christus is, die is een nieuw schepsel; het oude is voorbijgegaan, ziet, het is alles nieuw geworden. 18En al deze dingen zijn uit God, Die ons met Zichzelven verzoend heeft door Jezus Christus, en ons de bediening der verzoening gegeven heeft. 19Want God was in Christus de wereld met Zichzelven verzoenende, hun zonden hun niet toerekenende; en heeft het woord der verzoening in ons gelegd. 20Zo zijn wij dan gezanten van Christus wege, alsof God door ons bade; wij bidden van Christus wege: laat u met God verzoenen. 21Want Dien, Die geen zonde gekend heeft, heeft Hij zonde voor ons gemaakt, opdat wij zouden worden rechtvaardigheid Gods in Hem.
