1Sa kalayaan ay pinalaya tayo ni Cristo: magsitibay nga kayo, at huwag na kayong pasakop na muli sa pamatok ng pagkaalipin. 2Narito, akong si Pablo ay nagsasabi sa inyo, na, kung inyong tinatanggap ang pagtutuli, ay wala kayong mapapakinabang na anoman kay Cristo. 3Oo, pinatotohanan kong muli sa bawa't taong tumatanggap ng pagtutuli, na siya'y may kautangang tumupad ng buong kautusan. 4Kayo'y hiwalay kay Cristo, kayong nangagiibig na ariing-ganap ng kautusan; nangahulog kayo mula sa biyaya. 5Sapagka't tayo sa pamamagitan ng Espiritu sa pananampalataya ay naghihintay ng pangako ng katuwiran. 6Sapagka't kay Cristo Jesus, kahit ang pagtutuli ay walang kabuluhan, kahit man ang di-pagtutuli; kundi ang pananampalataya na gumagawa sa pamamagitan ng pagibig. 7Nagsisitakbo kayong mabuti nang una; sino ang gumambala sa inyo upang kayo'y huwag magsisunod sa katotohanan? 8Ang paghikayat na ito ay hindi nagmula doon sa tumawag sa inyo. 9Ang kaunting lebadura ay nagpapakumbo sa buong limpak. 10Ako'y may pagkakatiwala sa inyo sa Panginoon, na hindi kayo nagsipagisip ng ibang paraan: datapuwa't ang gumagambala sa inyo ay magtataglay ng kaniyang kahatulan, maging sinoman siya. 11Nguni't ako, mga kapatid, kung ipinangangaral ko pa ang pagtutuli, bakit ako'y pinaguusig pa? kung gayon ay natapos na ang katitisuran sa krus. 12Ibig ko sana na ang mga nagsisigulo sa inyo ay gumawa ng higit sa pagtutuli. 13Sapagka't kayo, mga kapatid, ay tinawag sa kalayaan; huwag lamang gamitin ang inyong kalayaan, upang magbigay kadahilanan sa laman, kundi sa pamamagitan ng pagibig ay mangaglingkuran kayo. 14Sapagka't ang buong kautusan ay natutupad sa isang salita, sa makatuwid ay dito: Iibigin mo ang inyong kapuwa na gaya ng inyong sarili. 15Nguni't kung kayo-kayo rin ang nangagkakagatan at nangagsasakmalan, magsipagingat kayo na baka kayo'y mangaglipulan sa isa't isa. 16Sinasabi ko nga, Magsilakad kayo ayon sa Espiritu, at hindi ninyo gagawin ang mga pita ng laman. 17Sapagka't ang laman ay nagnanasa ng laban sa Espiritu, at ang Espiritu ay laban sa laman; sapagka't ang mga ito ay nagkakalaban; upang huwag ninyong gawin ang bagay na inyong ibigin. 18Datapuwa't kung kayo'y pinapatnubayan ng Espiritu, ay wala kayo sa ilalim ng kautusan. 19At hayag ang mga gawa ng laman, sa makatuwid ay ang mga ito: pakikiapid, karumihan, kalibugan, 20Pagsamba sa diosdiosan, pangkukulam, mga pagtataniman, mga pagtatalo, mga paninibugho, mga pagkakaalitan, mga pagkakampikampi, mga pagkakabahabahagi, mga hidwang pananampalataya, 21Mga kapanaghilian, mga paglalasing, mga kalayawan, at ang mga katulad nito; tungkol sa mga bagay na ito ay aking ipinagpapaunang ipaalaala sa inyo, tulad sa aking pagpapaalaala nang una sa inyo, na ang mga nagsisigawa ng gayong mga bagay ay hindi magsisipagmana ng kaharian ng Dios. 22Datapuwa't ang bunga ng Espiritu ay pagibig, katuwaan, kapayapaan, pagpapahinuhod, kagandahang-loob, kabutihan, pagtatapat, 23Kaamuan, pagpipigil; laban sa mga gayong bagay ay walang kautusan. 24At ipinako sa krus ng mga na kay Cristo Jesus ang laman na kasama ang mga masasamang pita at mga kahalayan nito. 25Kung tayo'y nangabubuhay sa pamamagitan ng Espiritu, ay mangagsilakad naman tayo ayon sa Espiritu. 26Huwag tayong maging mga palalo, na tayo-tayo'y nangagmumungkahian sa isa't isa, nangagiinggitan sa isa't isa.
1Stand firm therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and don’t be entangled again with a yoke of bondage. 2Behold, I, Paul, tell you that if you receive circumcision, Christ will profit you nothing. 3Yes, I testify again to every man who receives circumcision, that he is a debtor to do the whole law. 4You are alienated from Christ, you who desire to be justified by the law. You have fallen away from grace. 5For we, through the Spirit, by faith wait for the hope of righteousness. 6For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision amounts to anything, nor uncircumcision, but faith working through love. 7You were running well! Who interfered with you that you should not obey the truth? 8This persuasion is not from him who calls you. 9A little yeast grows through the whole lump. 10I have confidence toward you in the Lord that you will think no other way. But he who troubles you will bear his judgment, whoever he is. 11But I, brothers, if I still preach circumcision, why am I still persecuted? Then the stumbling block of the cross has been removed. 12I wish that those who disturb you would cut themselves off. 13For you, brothers, were called for freedom. Only don’t use your freedom for gain to the flesh, but through love be servants to one another. 14For the whole law is fulfilled in one word, in this: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” 15But if you bite and devour one another, be careful that you don’t consume one another. 16But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you won’t fulfill the lust of the flesh. 17For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, that you may not do the things that you desire. 18But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law. 19Now the works of the flesh are obvious, which are: adultery, sexual immorality, uncleanness, lustfulness, 20idolatry, sorcery, hatred, strife, jealousies, outbursts of anger, rivalries, divisions, heresies, 21envyings, murders, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these; of which I forewarn you, even as I also forewarned you, that those who practice such things will not inherit the Kingdom of God. 22But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith, 23gentleness, and self-control. Against such things there is no law. 24Those who belong to Christ have crucified the flesh with its passions and lusts. 25If we live by the Spirit, let’s also walk by the Spirit. 26Let’s not become conceited, provoking one another, and envying one another.
1Staat dan in de vrijheid, met welke ons Christus vrijgemaakt heeft, en wordt niet wederom met het juk der dienstbaarheid bevangen. 2Ziet, ik Paulus zeg u, zo gij u laat besnijden, dat Christus u niet nut zal zijn. 3En ik betuig wederom een iegelijk mens, die zich laat besnijden, dat hij een schuldenaar is de gehele wet te doen. 4Christus is u ijdel geworden, die door de wet gerechtvaardigd wilt worden; gij zijt van de genade vervallen. 5Want wij verwachten door den Geest, uit het geloof, de hoop der rechtvaardigheid. 6Want in Christus Jezus heeft noch besnijdenis enige kracht noch voorhuid, maar het geloof, door de liefde werkende. 7Gij liept wel; wie heeft u verhinderd der waarheid niet gehoorzaam te zijn? 8Dit gevoelen is niet uit Hem, Die u roept. 9Een weinig zuurdesem verzuurt het gehele deeg. 10Ik vertrouw van u in den Heere, dat gij niet anders zult gevoelen; maar die u ontroert, zal het oordeel dragen, wie hij ook zij. 11Maar ik, broeders! Indien ik nog de besnijdenis predik, waarom word ik nog vervolgd? Zo is dan de ergernis des kruises vernietigd. 12Och, of zij ook afgesneden werden, die u onrustig maken! 13Want gij zijt tot vrijheid geroepen, broeders, alleenlijk gebruikt de vrijheid niet tot een oorzaak voor het vlees; maar dient elkander door de liefde. 14Want de gehele wet wordt in een woord vervuld, namelijk in dit: Gij zult uw naaste liefhebben, gelijk uzelven. 15Maar indien gij elkander bijt en vereet, ziet toe, dat gij van elkander niet verteerd wordt. 16En ik zeg: Wandelt door den Geest en volbrengt de begeerlijkheden des vleses niet. 17Want het vlees begeert tegen den Geest, en de Geest tegen het vlees; en deze staan tegen elkander, alzo dat gij niet doet, hetgeen gij wildet. 18Maar indien gij door den Geest geleid wordt, zo zijt gij niet onder de wet. 19De werken des vleses nu zijn openbaar; welke zijn overspel, hoererij, onreinigheid, ontuchtigheid, 20Afgoderij, venijngeving, vijandschappen, twisten, afgunstigheden, toorn, gekijf, tweedracht, ketterijen, 21Nijd, moord, dronkenschappen, brasserijen, en dergelijke; van dewelke ik u te voren zeg, gelijk ik ook te voren gezegd heb, dat die zulke dingen doen, het Koninkrijk Gods niet zullen beerven. 22Maar de vrucht des Geestes is liefde, blijdschap, vrede, lankmoedigheid, goedertierenheid, goedheid, geloof, zachtmoedigheid, matigheid. 23Tegen de zodanigen is de wet niet. 24Maar die van Christus zijn, hebben het vlees gekruist met de bewegingen en begeerlijkheden. 25Indien wij door den Geest leven, zo laat ons ook door den Geest wandelen. 26Laat ons niet zijn zoekers van ijdele eer, elkander tergende, elkander benijdende.
