Filemon 1

1Si Pablo, na bilanggo ni Cristo Jesus, at si Timoteo na ating kapatid kay Filemon na aming minamahal at kamanggagawa, 2At kay Apia na ating kapatid na babae, at kay Arquipo na kapuwa kawal namin, at sa iglesia sa iyong bahay: 3Sumainyo nawa ang biyaya at kapayapaang mula sa Dios na ating Ama at sa Panginoong Jesucristo. 4Nagpapasalamat akong lagi sa aking Dios, na ikaw ay binabanggit ko sa aking mga panalangin, 5Sa pagkabalita ko ng iyong pagibig, at ng pananampalataya mo sa Panginoong Jesus, at sa lahat ng mga banal; 6Upang ang pakikipagkaisa ng iyong pananampalataya, ay maging mabisa sa pagkaalam ng bawa't mabuting bagay na nasa iyo, sa kay Cristo. 7Sapagka't ako'y totoong nagalak at naaliw sa iyong pagibig, sapagka't ang mga puso ng mga banal ay naginhawahan sa pamamagitan mo, kapatid. 8Kaya, bagama't kay Cristo ay mayroon akong buong pagkakatiwala upang ipagtagubilin ko sa iyo ang nauukol, 9Gayon ma'y alangalang sa pagibig ay bagkus akong namamanhik, kung sa bagay akong si Pablo ay matanda na, at ngayon nama'y bilanggo ni Cristo Jesus: 10Ipinamamanhik ko sa iyo ang aking anak, na aking ipinanganak sa aking mga tanikala, si Onesimo, 11Na nang unang panahon ay hindi mo pinakinabangan, datapuwa't ngayon ay may pakikinabangin ka at ako man: 12Na siya'y aking pinabalik sa iyo sa kaniyang sariling katawan, sa makatuwid baga'y, ang aking sariling puso: 13Na ibig ko sanang pigilin siya sa aking piling, upang sa iyong pangalan ay paglingkuran ako sa mga tanikala ng evangelio: 14Datapuwa't kung wala kang pasiya ay wala akong magagawang anoman; upang ang iyong kabutihang-loob ay huwag maging tila sa pagkakailangan, kundi sa sariling kalooban. 15Sapagka't marahil sa ganito siya'y nahiwalay sa iyo sa sangdaling panahon, upang siya'y mapasa iyo magpakailan man; 16Na hindi na alipin, kundi higit sa alipin, isang kapatid na minamahal, lalong lalo na sa akin, nguni't gaano pa kaya sa iyo, na siya'y minamahal mo maging sa laman at gayon din sa Panginoon. 17Kung ako nga ay inaari mong kasama, ay tanggapin mo siyang tila ako rin. 18Nguni't kung siya'y nagkasala sa iyo ng anoman, o may utang sa iyong anoman, ay ibilang mo sa akin; 19Akong si Pablo na sumusulat nito ng aking sariling kamay, ay siyang magbabayad sa iyo: hindi sa sinasabi ko sa iyo na ikaw man ay utang mo pa sa akin. 20Oo, kapatid, magkaroon nawa ako ng katuwaan sa iyo sa Panginoon: panariwain mo ang aking puso kay Cristo. 21Kita'y sinulatan sa pagkakatiwala sa iyong pagtalima, palibhasa'y aking nalalaman na gagawin mo ang higit pa kay sa aking sinasabi. 22Datapuwa't bago ang lahat ay ipaghanda mo ako ng matutuluyan: sapagka't inaasahan kong sa pamamagitan ng inyong mga panalangin ay ipagkakaloob ako sa inyo. 23Binabati ka ni Epafras, na aking kasama sa pagkabilanggo kay Cristo Jesus; 24At gayon din ni Marcos, ni Aristarco, ni Demas, at ni Lucas na aking mga kamanggagawa. 25Ang biyaya ng ating Panginoong Jesucristo ay sumainyo nawang espiritu. Siya nawa.

1Paul, a prisoner of Christ Jesus, and Timothy our brother, to Philemon, our beloved fellow worker, 2to the beloved Apphia, to Archippus, our fellow soldier, and to the assembly in your house: 3Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. 4I thank my God always, making mention of you in my prayers, 5hearing of your love, and of the faith which you have toward the Lord Jesus, and toward all the saints; 6that the fellowship of your faith may become effective, in the knowledge of every good thing which is in us in Christ Jesus. 7For we have much joy and comfort in your love, because the hearts of the saints have been refreshed through you, brother. 8Therefore though I have all boldness in Christ to command you that which is appropriate, 9yet for love’s sake I rather beg, being such a one as Paul, the aged, but also a prisoner of Jesus Christ. 10I beg you for my child, whom I have become the father of in my chains, Onesimus, 11who once was useless to you, but now is useful to you and to me. 12I am sending him back. Therefore receive him, that is, my own heart, 13whom I desired to keep with me, that on your behalf he might serve me in my chains for the Good News. 14But I was willing to do nothing without your consent, that your goodness would not be as of necessity, but of free will. 15For perhaps he was therefore separated from you for a while, that you would have him forever, 16no longer as a slave, but more than a slave, a beloved brother, especially to me, but how much rather to you, both in the flesh and in the Lord. 17If then you count me a partner, receive him as you would receive me. 18But if he has wronged you at all, or owes you anything, put that to my account. 19I, Paul, write this with my own hand: I will repay it (not to mention to you that you owe to me even your own self besides). 20Yes, brother, let me have joy from you in the Lord. Refresh my heart in the Lord. 21Having confidence in your obedience, I write to you, knowing that you will do even beyond what I say. 22Also, prepare a guest room for me, for I hope that through your prayers I will be restored to you. 23Epaphras, my fellow prisoner in Christ Jesus, greets you, 24as do Mark, Aristarchus, Demas, and Luke, my fellow workers. 25The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Amen.

1Paulus, een gevangene van Christus Jezus, en Timotheus, de broeder, aan Filemon, den geliefde, en onzen medearbeider, 2En aan Appia, de geliefde, en aan Archippus, onzen medestrijder, en aan de Gemeente, die te uwen huize is: 3Genade zij ulieden en vrede van God, onzen Vader, en den Heere Jezus Christus. 4Ik dank mijn God, uwer altijd gedachtig zijnde in mijn gebeden; 5Alzo ik hoor uw liefde en geloof, hetwelk gij hebt aan den Heere Jezus, en jegens al de heiligen; 6Opdat de gemeenschap uws geloofs krachtig worde in de bekendmaking van alle goed, hetwelk in ulieden is door Christus Jezus. 7Want wij hebben grote vreugde en vertroosting over uw liefde, dat de ingewanden der heiligen verkwikt zijn geworden door u, broeder! 8Daarom, hoewel ik grote vrijmoedigheid heb in Christus, om u te bevelen, hetgeen betamelijk is; 9Zo bid ik nochtans liever door de liefde, daar ik zodanig een ben, te weten Paulus, een oud man, en nu ook een gevangene van Jezus Christus. 10Ik bid u dan voor mijn zoon, denwelken ik in mijn banden heb geteeld, namelijk Onesimus; 11Die eertijds u onnut was, maar nu u en mij zeer nuttig; denwelken ik wedergezonden heb; 12Doch gij, neem hem, dat is mijn ingewanden, weder aan; 13Denwelken ik wel had willen bij mij behouden, opdat hij mij voor u dienen zou in de banden des Evangelies. 14Maar ik heb zonder uw goedvinden niets willen doen, opdat uw goeddadigheid niet zou zijn als naar bedwang, maar naar vrijwilligheid. 15Want veellicht is hij daarom voor een kleinen tijd van u gescheiden geweest, opdat gij hem eeuwig zoudt weder hebben. 16Nu voortaan niet als een dienstknecht, maar meer dan een dienstknecht, namelijk een geliefden broeder, inzonderheid mij, hoeveel te meer dan u, beide in het vlees en in den Heere. 17Indien gij mij dan houdt voor een metgezel, zo neem hem aan, gelijk als mij. 18En indien hij u iets verongelijkt heeft, of schuldig is, reken dat mij toe. 19Ik, Paulus, heb het geschreven met deze mijn hand, ik zal het betalen; opdat ik u niet zegge, dat gij ook uzelven mij daartoe schuldig zijt. 20Ja, broeder, laat mij uwer hierin genieten in den Heere; verkwik mijn ingewanden in den Heere. 21Ik heb aan u geschreven, vertrouwende op uw gehoorzaamheid; en ik weet, dat gij doen zult ook boven hetgeen ik zeg. 22En bereid mij ook tegelijk een herberg; want ik hoop, dat ik door uw gebeden ulieden zal geschonken worden. 23U groeten Epafras, mijn medegevangene in Christus Jezus, 24Markus, Aristarchus, Demas, Lukas, mijn medearbeiders. 25De genade van onzen Heere Jezus Christus zij met uw geest. Amen.
