Yeremia 28

1Katika mwezi wa tano wa mwaka ule ule, yaani mwaka wa nne, mwanzoni mwa utawala wa Sedekia mfalme wa Yuda, nabii Hanania mwana wa Azuri, ambaye alitoka Gibeoni, akaniambia katika nyumba ya Bwana mbele ya makuhani na watu wote: 2“Hili ndilo Bwana Mwenye Nguvu Zote, Mungu wa Israeli asemalo: ‘Nitaivunja nira ya mfalme wa Babeli. 3Katika muda wa miaka miwili nitavirudisha mahali hapa vyombo vyote vya nyumba ya Bwana ambavyo Nebukadneza mfalme wa Babeli aliviondoa kutoka hapa na kuvipeleka Babeli. 4Pia nitamrudisha mahali hapa Yekonia mwana wa Yehoyakimu mfalme wa Yuda, pamoja na wote waliohamishwa kutoka Yuda ambao walikwenda Babeli,’ asema Bwana, ‘kwa kuwa nitaivunja nira ya mfalme wa Babeli.’” 5Ndipo nabii Yeremia akamjibu nabii Hanania mbele ya makuhani na watu wote waliokuwa wamesimama ndani ya nyumba ya Bwana. 6Akasema, “Amen! Bwana na afanye hivyo! Bwana na ayatimize maneno uliyotoa unabii kwa kuvirudisha mahali hapa kutoka Babeli vyombo vya nyumba ya Bwana pamoja na wote waliohamishwa. 7Hata hivyo, nisikilize nikuambie yale nitakayoyasema masikioni mwako na masikioni mwa watu hawa wote: 8Tangu mwanzo, manabii waliokutangulia wewe na mimi walitabiri vita, maafa na tauni dhidi ya nchi nyingi na falme kubwa. 9Lakini nabii atakayetabiri amani atatambuliwa kuwa kweli ametumwa na Bwana ikiwa unabii wake utatimia.” 10Kisha nabii Hanania akaiondoa nira iliyokuwa shingoni mwa Yeremia na kuivunja, 11naye akasema mbele ya watu wote, “Hili ndilo asemalo Bwana: ‘Vivi hivi ndivyo nitakavyoivunja nira ya Nebukadneza mfalme wa Babeli kutoka kwenye shingo za mataifa katika muda huu wa miaka miwili.’” Alipofanya hivi, nabii Yeremia akaondoka zake. 12Kitambo kidogo baada ya nabii Hanania kuivunja nira kutoka shingo ya nabii Yeremia, neno la Bwana likamjia Yeremia: 13“Nenda ukamwambie Hanania, ‘Hili ndilo asemalo Bwana: Umevunja nira ya mti, lakini badala yake utapata nira ya chuma. 14Hili ndilo asemalo Bwana Mwenye Nguvu Zote, Mungu wa Israeli: Nitaweka nira ya chuma kwenye shingo za mataifa haya yote ili kufanya yamtumikie Nebukadneza mfalme wa Babeli, nao watamtumikia. Nitampa kutawala hata wanyama wa mwituni.’” 15Kisha nabii Yeremia akamwambia nabii Hanania, “Sikiliza Hanania! Bwana hajakutuma, lakini wewe umelishawishi taifa hili kuamini uongo. 16Kwa hiyo, hili ndilo asemalo Bwana: ‘Hivi karibuni nitakuondoa kutoka juu ya uso wa dunia. Mwaka huu utakufa, kwa sababu umetangaza uasi dhidi ya Bwana.’” 17Katika mwezi wa saba wa mwaka ule ule, nabii Hanania akafa.

1That same year, in the beginning of the reign of Zedekiah king of Judah, in the fourth year, in the fifth month, Hananiah the son of Azzur, the prophet, who was of Gibeon, spoke to me in Yahweh’s house, in the presence of the priests and of all the people, saying, 2Thus speaks Yahweh of Armies, the God of Israel, saying, I have broken the yoke of the king of Babylon. 3Within two full years will I bring again into this place all the vessels of Yahweh’s house, that Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon took away from this place, and carried to Babylon: 4and I will bring again to this place Jeconiah the son of Jehoiakim, king of Judah, with all the captives of Judah, who went to Babylon, says Yahweh; for I will break the yoke of the king of Babylon. 5Then the prophet Jeremiah said to the prophet Hananiah in the presence of the priests, and in the presence of all the people who stood in Yahweh’s house, 6even the prophet Jeremiah said, Amen: Yahweh do so; Yahweh perform your words which you have prophesied, to bring again the vessels of Yahweh’s house, and all them of the captivity, from Babylon to this place. 7Nevertheless hear you now this word that I speak in your ears, and in the ears of all the people: 8The prophets who have been before me and before you of old prophesied against many countries, and against great kingdoms, of war, and of evil, and of pestilence. 9The prophet who prophesies of peace, when the word of the prophet shall happen, then shall the prophet be known, that Yahweh has truly sent him. 10Then Hananiah the prophet took the bar from off the prophet Jeremiah’s neck, and broke it. 11Hananiah spoke in the presence of all the people, saying, Thus says Yahweh: Even so will I break the yoke of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon within two full years from off the neck of all the nations. The prophet Jeremiah went his way. 12Then Yahweh’s word came to Jeremiah, after that Hananiah the prophet had broken the bar from off the neck of the prophet Jeremiah, saying, 13Go, and tell Hananiah, saying, Thus says Yahweh: You have broken the bars of wood; but you have made in their place bars of iron. 14For thus says Yahweh of Armies, the God of Israel: I have put a yoke of iron on the neck of all these nations, that they may serve Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon; and they shall serve him: and I have given him the animals of the field also. 15Then the prophet Jeremiah said to Hananiah the prophet, Hear now, Hananiah: Yahweh has not sent you; but you make this people to trust in a lie. 16Therefore thus says Yahweh, Behold, I will send you away from off the surface of the earth: this year you shall die, because you have spoken rebellion against Yahweh. 17So Hananiah the prophet died the same year in the seventh month.

1Voorts geschiedde het in hetzelfde jaar, in het begin des koninkrijks van Zedekia, koning van Juda, in het vierde jaar, in de vijfde maand, dat Hananja, zoon van Azur, de profeet, die van Gibeon was, tot mij sprak, in het huis des HEEREN, voor de ogen der priesteren en des gansen volks, zeggende: 2Zo spreekt de HEERE der heirscharen, de God Israels, zeggende: Ik heb het juk des konings van Babel verbroken. 3In nog twee volle jaren zal Ik tot deze plaats wederbrengen al de vaten van het huis des HEEREN, die Nebukadnezar, de koning van Babel, uit deze plaats heeft weggenomen, en dezelve naar Babel gebracht. 4Ook zal Ik Jechonia, den zoon van Jojakim, koning van Juda, en allen, die gevankelijk weggevoerd zijn van Juda, die te Babel gekomen zijn, tot deze plaats wederbrengen, spreekt de HEERE; want Ik zal het juk des konings van Babel verbreken. 5Toen sprak de profeet Jeremia tot den profeet Hananja, voor de ogen der priesteren, en voor de ogen des gansen volks, die in het huis des HEEREN stonden; 6En de profeet Jeremia zeide: Amen, de HEERE doe alzo! de HEERE bevestige uw woorden, die gij geprofeteerd hebt, dat Hij de vaten van des HEEREN huis, en allen, die gevankelijk zijn weggevoerd, van Babel wederbrenge tot deze plaats! 7Maar hoor nu dit woord, dat ik spreek voor uw oren, en voor de oren des gansen volks: 8De profeten, die voor mij en voor u van ouds geweest zijn, die hebben tegen veel landen en tegen grote koninkrijken geprofeteerd, van krijg, en van kwaad, en van pestilentie. 9De profeet, die geprofeteerd zal hebben van vrede, als het woord van dien profeet komt, dan zal die profeet bekend worden, dat hem de HEERE in der waarheid gezonden heeft. 10Toen nam de profeet Hananja het juk van den hals van den profeet Jeremia, en verbrak het. 11En Hananja sprak voor de ogen des gansen volks, zeggende: Zo zegt de HEERE: Alzo zal Ik verbreken het juk van Nebukadnezar, den koning van Babel, in nog twee volle jaren, van den hals al der volken. En de profeet Jeremia ging zijns weegs. 12Doch des HEEREN woord geschiedde tot Jeremia (nadat de profeet Hananja het juk van den hals van den profeet Jeremia verbroken had), zeggende: 13Ga henen en spreek tot Hananja, zeggende: Zo zegt de HEERE: Houten jukken hebt gij verbroken, nu zult gij in plaats van die ijzeren jukken maken. 14Want zo zegt de HEERE der heirscharen, de God Israels: Ik heb een ijzeren juk gedaan aan den hals van al deze volken, om Nebukadnezar, den koning van Babel, te dienen, en zij zullen hem dienen; ja, Ik heb hem ook het gedierte des velds gegeven. 15En de profeet Jeremia zeide tot den profeet Hananja: Hoor nu, Hananja! de HEERE heeft u niet gezonden, maar gij hebt gemaakt, dat dit volk op leugen vertrouwt. 16Daarom, zo zegt de HEERE: Zie, Ik zal u wegwerpen van den aardbodem; dit jaar zult gij sterven, omdat gij een afval gesproken hebt tegen den HEERE. 17Alzo stierf de profeet Hananja in datzelfde jaar, in de zevende maand.
