2 Wakorintho 13

1Hii ndiyo mara ya tatu mimi kuja kwenu. “Shtaka lolote lazima lithibitishwe na mashahidi wawili au watatu.” 2Nimekwisha kuwaonya nilipokuwa pamoja nanyi mara ya pili. Sasa narudia wakati sipo, kwamba nikija tena sitawahurumia wale waliokuwa wametenda dhambi hapo awali na wengine wote, 3kwa kuwa mnadai uthibitisho kwamba Kristo anazungumza kwa kunitumia mimi. Yeye si dhaifu katika kushughulika nanyi, bali ana nguvu kati yenu. 4Kwa kuwa alisulubiwa katika udhaifu, lakini anaishi kwa nguvu za Mungu. Vivyo hivyo, sisi tu dhaifu kupitia kwake, lakini katika kuwashughulikia ninyi tutaishi pamoja naye kwa nguvu za Mungu. 5Jichunguzeni wenyewe mwone kama mnaishi katika imani. Jipimeni wenyewe. Je, hamtambui ya kuwa Yesu Kristo yumo ndani yenu? Kama sivyo, basi, mmeshindwa kufikia kipimo hicho! 6Natumaini mtaona kuwa sisi hatukushindwa. 7Lakini tunamwomba Mungu msije mkatenda kosa lolote, si ili sisi tuonekane kuwa tumeshinda hilo jaribio, bali ili ninyi mtende lililo haki, hata kama tutaonekana kuwa tumeshindwa. 8Kwa maana hatuwezi kufanya lolote kinyume na kweli, bali kuithibitisha kweli tu. 9Tunafurahi wakati wowote sisi tunapokuwa dhaifu, lakini ninyi mkawa na nguvu. Nayo maombi yetu ni kwamba mpate kuwa wakamilifu. 10Hii ndiyo sababu nawaandikia mambo haya wakati sipo, ili nikija nisiwe mkali katika kutumia mamlaka yangu, mamlaka Bwana aliyonipa ya kuwajenga ninyi wala si ya kuwabomoa. 11Hatimaye, ndugu zangu, kwaherini. Kuweni wakamilifu, mkafarijike, kuweni wa nia moja, kaeni kwa amani. Naye Mungu wa upendo na amani atakuwa pamoja nanyi. 12Salimianeni ninyi kwa ninyi kwa busu takatifu. 13Watakatifu wote wanawasalimu. 14Neema ya Bwana Yesu Kristo, na upendo wa Mungu, na ushirika wa Roho Mtakatifu ukae nanyi nyote. Amen.

1This is the third time I am coming to you. “At the mouth of two or three witnesses shall every word be established.” 2I have said beforehand, and I do say beforehand, as when I was present the second time, so now, being absent, I write to those who have sinned before now, and to all the rest, that, if I come again, I will not spare; 3seeing that you seek a proof of Christ who speaks in me; who toward you is not weak, but is powerful in you. 4For he was crucified through weakness, yet he lives through the power of God. For we also are weak in him, but we will live with him through the power of God toward you. 5Test your own selves, whether you are in the faith. Test your own selves. Or don’t you know as to your own selves, that Jesus Christ is in you?—unless indeed you are disqualified. 6But I hope that you will know that we aren’t disqualified. 7Now I pray to God that you do no evil; not that we may appear approved, but that you may do that which is honorable, though we are as reprobate. 8For we can do nothing against the truth, but for the truth. 9For we rejoice when we are weak and you are strong. And this we also pray for, even your perfecting. 10For this cause I write these things while absent, that I may not deal sharply when present, according to the authority which the Lord gave me for building up, and not for tearing down. 11Finally, brothers, rejoice. Be perfected, be comforted, be of the same mind, live in peace, and the God of love and peace will be with you. 12Greet one another with a holy kiss. 13All the saints greet you. 14The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit, be with you all. Amen.

1Dit is de derde maal, dat ik tot u kom; in den mond van twee of drie getuigen zal alle woord bestaan. 2Ik heb het te voren gezegd, en zeg het te voren als tegenwoordig zijnde de tweede maal, en ik schrijf het nu afwezende aan degenen, die te voren gezondigd hebben, en aan al de anderen, dat, zo ik wederom kom, ik hen niet zal sparen; 3Dewijl gij zoekt een proeve van Christus, Die in mij spreekt, Welke in u niet zwak is, maar krachtig is onder u. 4Want hoewel Hij gekruist is door zwakheid, zo leeft Hij nochtans door de kracht Gods. Want ook wij zijn zwak in Hem, maar zullen met Hem leven door de kracht Gods in u. 5Onderzoekt uzelven, of gij in het geloof zijt, beproeft uzelven. Of kent gij uzelven niet, dat Jezus Christus in u is? tenzij dat gij enigszins verwerpelijk zijt. 6Doch ik hoop, dat gij zult verstaan, dat wij niet verwerpelijk zijn. 7En ik wens van God, dat gij geen kwaad doet; niet opdat wij beproefd zouden bevonden worden, maar opdat gij het goede zoudt doen, en wij als verwerpelijk zouden zijn. 8Want wij vermogen niets tegen de waarheid, maar voor de waarheid. 9Want wij verblijden ons, wanneer wij zwak zijn, en gij sterk zijt. En wij wensen ook dit, namelijk uw volmaking. 10Daarom schrijf ik, afwezende, deze dingen, opdat ik niet, tegenwoordig zijnde, strengheid zou gebruiken, naar de macht, die mij de Heere gegeven heeft tot opbouwing, en niet tot nederwerping. 11Voorts, broeders, zijt blijde, wordt volmaakt, zijt getroost, zijt eensgezind, leeft in vrede; en de God der liefde en des vredes zal met u zijn. 12Groet elkander met een heiligen kus. 13U groeten al de heiligen. 14De genade van den Heere Jezus Christus, en de liefde van God, en de gemeenschap des Heiligen Geestes, zij met u allen. Amen.
