Nehemías 3

1Y LEVANTÓSE Eliasib el gran sacerdote con sus hermanos los sacerdotes, y edificaron la puerta de las Ovejas. Ellos aparejaron y levantaron sus puertas hasta la torre de Meah, aparejáronla hasta la torre de Hananeel. 2Y junto á ella edificaron los varones de Jericó: y luego edificó Zachûr hijo de Imri. 3Y los hijos de Senaa edificaron la puerta del Pescado: ellos la enmaderaron, y levantaron sus puertas, con sus cerraduras y sus cerrojos. 4Y junto á ellos restauró Meremoth hijo de Urías, hijo de Cos: y al lado de ellos, restauró Mesullam hijo de Berechîas, hijo de Mesezabeel. Junto á ellos restauró Sadoc hijo de Baana. 5E inmediato á ellos restauraron los Tecoitas; mas sus grandes no prestaron su cerviz á la obra de su Señor. 6Y la puerta Vieja restauraron Joiada hijo de Pasea, y Mesullam hijo de Besodías: ellos la enmaderaron, y levantaron sus puertas, con sus cerraduras y sus cerrojos. 7Junto á ellos restauró Melatías Gabaonita, y Jadón Meronothita, varones de Gabaón y de Mizpa, por la silla del gobernador de la otra parte del río. 8Y junto á ellos restauró Uzziel hijo de Harhaía, de los plateros; junto al cual restauró también Hananías, hijo de un perfumero. Así dejaron reparado á Jerusalem hasta el muro ancho. 9Junto á ellos restauró también Repaías hijo de Hur, príncipe de la mitad de la región de Jerusalem. 10Asimismo restauró junto á ellos, y frente á su casa, Jedaías hijo de Harumaph; y junto á él restauró Hattus hijo de Hasbanías. 11Malchîas hijo de Harim y Hasub hijo de Pahath-moab, restauraron la otra medida, y la torre de los Hornos. 12Junto á ellos restauró Sallum hijo de Lohes, príncipe de la mitad de la región de Jerusalem, él con sus hijas. 13La puerta del Valle la restauró Hanún con los moradores de Zanoa: ellos la reedificaron, y levantaron sus puertas, con sus cerraduras y sus cerrojos, y mil codos en el muro hasta la puerta del Muladar. 14Y reedificó la puerta del Muladar, Malchîas hijo de Rechâb, príncipe de la provincia de Beth-haccerem: él la reedificó, y levantó sus puertas, sus cerraduras y sus cerrojos. 15Y Sallum hijo de Chôl-hoce, príncipe de la región de Mizpa, restauró la puerta de la Fuente: él la reedificó, y la enmaderó, y levantó sus puertas, sus cerraduras y sus cerrojos, y el muro del estanque de Selah hacia la huerta del rey, y hasta las gradas que descienden de la ciudad de David. 16Después de él restauró Nehemías hijo de Azbuc, príncipe de la mitad de la región de Beth-sur, hasta delante de los sepulcros de David, y hasta el estanque labrado, y hasta la casa de los Valientes. 17Tras él restauraron los Levitas, Rehum hijo de Bani; junto á él restauró Asabías, príncipe de la mitad de la región de Ceila en su región. 18Después de él restauraron sus hermanos, Bavvai hijo de Henadad, príncipe de la mitad de la región de Ceila. 19Y junto á él restauró Ezer hijo de Jesuá, príncipe de Mizpa, la otra medida frente á la subida de la armería de la esquina. 20Después de él se enfervorizó á restaurar Baruch hijo de Zachâi la otra medida, desde la esquina hasta la puerta de la casa de Eliasib gran sacerdote. 21Tras él restauró Meremoth hijo de Urías hijo de Cos la otra medida, desde la entrada de la casa de Eliasib, hasta el cabo de la casa de Eliasib. 22Después de él restauraron los sacerdotes, los varones de la campiña. 23Después de ellos restauraron Benjamín y Hasub, frente á su casa: y después de estos restauró Azarías, hijo de Maasías hijo de Ananías, cerca de su casa. 24Después de él restauró Binnui hijo de Henadad la otra medida, desde la casa de Azarías hasta la revuelta, y hasta la esquina. 25Paal hijo de Uzai, enfrente de la esquina y la torre alta que sale de la casa del rey, que está en el patio de la cárcel. Después de él, Pedaía hijo de Pharos. 26(Y los Nethineos estuvieron en Ophel hasta enfrente de la puerta de las Aguas al oriente, y la torre que sobresalía.) 27Después de él restauraron los Tecoitas la otra medida, enfrente de la grande torre que sobresale, hasta el muro de Ophel. 28Desde la puerta de los Caballos restauraron los sacerdotes, cada uno enfrente de su casa. 29Después de ellos restauró Sadoc hijo de Immer, enfrente de su casa: y después de él restauró Semaías hijo de Sechânías, guarda de la puerta oriental. 30Tras él restauró Hananías hijo de Selemías, y Anún hijo sexto de Salaph, la otra medida. Después de él restauró Mesullam, hijo de Berechîas, enfrente de su cámara. 31Después de él restauró Malchîas hijo del platero, hasta la casa de los Nethineos y de los tratantes, enfrente de la puerta del Juicio, y hasta la sala de la esquina. 32Y entre la sala de la esquina hasta la puerta de las Ovejas, restauraron los plateros y los tratantes.

1Then Eliashib the high priest rose up with his brothers the priests, and they built the sheep gate; they sanctified it, and set up its doors; even to the tower of Hammeah they sanctified it, to the tower of Hananel. 2Next to him built the men of Jericho. Next to them built Zaccur the son of Imri. 3The sons of Hassenaah built the fish gate. They laid its beams, and set up its doors, its bolts, and its bars. 4Next to them, Meremoth the son of Uriah, the son of Hakkoz made repairs. Next to them, Meshullam the son of Berechiah, the son of Meshezabel made repairs. Next to them, Zadok the son of Baana made repairs. 5Next to them, the Tekoites made repairs; but their nobles didn’t put their necks to the work of their lord. 6Joiada the son of Paseah and Meshullam the son of Besodeiah repaired the old gate. They laid its beams, and set up its doors, and its bolts, and its bars. 7Next to them, Melatiah the Gibeonite, and Jadon the Meronothite, the men of Gibeon, and of Mizpah, repaired the residence of the governor beyond the River. 8Next to him, Uzziel the son of Harhaiah, goldsmiths, made repairs. Next to him, Hananiah one of the perfumers made repairs, and they fortified Jerusalem even to the broad wall. 9Next to them, Rephaiah the son of Hur, the ruler of half the district of Jerusalem, made repairs. 10Next to them, Jedaiah the son of Harumaph made repairs across from his house. Next to him, Hattush the son of Hashabneiah made repairs. 11Malchijah the son of Harim, and Hasshub the son of Pahathmoab, repaired another portion, and the tower of the furnaces. 12Next to him, Shallum the son of Hallohesh, the ruler of half the district of Jerusalem, he and his daughters, made repairs. 13Hanun and the inhabitants of Zanoah repaired the valley gate. They built it, and set up its doors, its bolts, and its bars, and one thousand cubits of the wall to the dung gate. 14Malchijah the son of Rechab, the ruler of the district of Beth Haccherem repaired the dung gate. He built it, and set up its doors, its bolts, and its bars. 15Shallun the son of Colhozeh, the ruler of the district of Mizpah repaired the spring gate. He built it, and covered it, and set up its doors, its bolts, and its bars, and the wall of the pool of Shelah by the king’s garden, even to the stairs that go down from the city of David. 16After him, Nehemiah the son of Azbuk, the ruler of half the district of Beth Zur, made repairs to the place opposite the tombs of David, and to the pool that was made, and to the house of the mighty men. 17After him, the Levites, Rehum the son of Bani made repairs. Next to him, Hashabiah, the ruler of half the district of Keilah, made repairs for his district. 18After him, their brothers, Bavvai the son of Henadad, the ruler of half the district of Keilah made repairs. 19Next to him, Ezer the son of Jeshua, the ruler of Mizpah, repaired another portion, across from the ascent to the armory at the turning of the wall. 20After him, Baruch the son of Zabbai earnestly repaired another portion, from the turning of the wall to the door of the house of Eliashib the high priest. 21After him, Meremoth the son of Uriah the son of Hakkoz repaired another portion, from the door of the house of Eliashib even to the end of the house of Eliashib. 22After him, the priests, the men of the Plain made repairs. 23After them, Benjamin and Hasshub made repairs across from their house. After them, Azariah the son of Maaseiah the son of Ananiah made repairs beside his own house. 24After him, Binnui the son of Henadad repaired another portion, from the house of Azariah to the turning of the wall, and to the corner. 25Palal the son of Uzai made repairs opposite the turning of the wall, and the tower that stands out from the upper house of the king, which is by the court of the guard. After him Pedaiah the son of Parosh made repairs. 26(Now the Nethinim lived in Ophel, to the place over against the water gate toward the east, and the tower that stands out.) 27After him the Tekoites repaired another portion, over against the great tower that stands out, and to the wall of Ophel. 28Above the horse gate, the priests made repairs, everyone across from his own house. 29After them, Zadok the son of Immer made repairs across from his own house. After him, Shemaiah the son of Shecaniah, the keeper of the east gate made repairs. 30After him, Hananiah the son of Shelemiah, and Hanun the sixth son of Zalaph, repaired another portion. After him, Meshullam the son of Berechiah made repairs across from his room. 31After him, Malchijah one of the goldsmiths to the house of the Nethinim, and of the merchants, made repairs over against the gate of Hammiphkad, and to the ascent of the corner. 32Between the ascent of the corner and the sheep gate, the goldsmiths and the merchants made repairs.

1En Eljasib, de hogepriester, maakte zich op met zijn broederen, de priesteren, en zij bouwden de Schaapspoort; zij heiligden ze, en richtten haar deuren op; ja, zij heiligden ze tot aan den toren Mea, tot aan den toren Hananeel. 2En aan zijn hand bouwden de mannen van Jericho; ook bouwde aan zijn hand Zacchur, de zoon van Imri. 3De Vispoort nu bouwden de kinderen van Senaa; zij zolderden die, en richtten haar deuren op, met haar sloten en haar grendelen. 4En aan hun hand verbeterde Meremoth, de zoon van Uria, den zoon van Koz; en aan hun hand verbeterde Mesullam, de zoon van Berechja, den zoon van Mesezabeel; en aan hun hand verbeterde Zadok, zoon van Baena. 5Voorts aan hun hand verbeterden de Thekoieten; maar hun voortreffelijken brachten hun hals niet tot den dienst huns Heeren. 6En de Oude poort verbeterden Jojada, de zoon van Paseah, en Mesullam, de zoon van Besodja; deze zolderden zij, en richtten haar deuren op, met haar sloten en haar grendelen. 7En aan hun hand verbeterden Melatja, de Gibeoniet, en Jadon, de Meronothiet, de mannen van Gibeon en van Mizpa; tot aan den stoel des landvoogds aan deze zijde der rivier. 8Aan zijn hand verbeterde Uzziel, de zoon van Harhoja, een der goudsmeden, en aan zijn hand verbeterde Hananja, de zoon van een der apothekers; en zij lieten Jeruzalem tot aan den breden muur. 9En aan hun hand verbeterde Refaja, de zoon van Hur, overste des halven deels van Jeruzalem. 10Voorts aan hun hand verbeterde Jedaja, de zoon van Herumaf, en tegenover zijn huis; en aan zijn hand verbeterde Hattus, de zoon van Hasabneja. 11De andere mate verbeterden Malchia, de zoon van Harim, en Hassub, de zoon van Pahath-Moab; daartoe den Bakoventoren. 12En aan zijn hand verbeterde Sallum, de zoon van Lohes, overste van het andere halve deel van Jeruzalem, hij en zijn dochteren. 13De Dalpoort verbeterden Hanun, en de inwoners van Zanoah; zij bouwden die, en richtten haar deuren op, met haar sloten en haar grendelen; daartoe duizend ellen aan den muur, tot aan de Mistpoort. 14De Mistpoort nu verbeterde Malchia, de zoon van Rechab, overste van het deel Beth-Cherem; hij bouwde ze, en richtte haar deuren op, met haar sloten en haar grendelen. 15En de Fonteinpoort verbeterde Sallum, de zoon van Kol-Hoze, overste van het deel van Mizpa; hij bouwde ze, en overdekte ze, en richtte haar deuren op, met haar sloten en haar grendelen; daartoe den muur des vijvers Schelah bij des konings hof, en tot aan de trappen, die afgaan van Davids stad. 16Na hem verbeterde Nehemia, de zoon van Azbuk, overste van het halve deel van Beth-Zur, tot tegenover Davids graven, en tot aan den gemaakten vijver, en tot aan het huis der helden. 17Na hem verbeterden de Levieten, Rehum, de zoon van Bani; aan zijn hand verbeterde Hasabja, de overste van het halve deel van Kehila, in zijn deel. 18Na hem verbeterden hun broederen, Bavai, de zoon van Henadad, de overste van het andere halve deel van Kehila. 19Aan zijn hand verbeterde Ezer, de zoon van Jesua, de overste van Mizpa, een ander maat; tegenover den opgang naar het wapenhuis, aan den hoek. 20Na hem verbeterde zeer vuriglijk Baruch, de zoon van Zabbai, een andere maat; van den hoek tot aan de deur van het huis van Eljasib, den hogepriester. 21Na hem verbeterde Meremoth, de zoon van Uria, den zoon van Koz, een ander maat; van de huisdeur van Eljasib af, tot aan het einde van Eljasibs huis. 22En na hem verbeterden de priesteren, wonende in de vlakke velden. 23Daarna verbeterden Benjamin, en Hassub, tegenover hun huis; na hem verbeterde Azaria, de zoon van Maaseja, den zoon van Hananja, bij zijn huis. 24Na hem verbeterde Binnui, de zoon van Henadad, een ander maat; van het huis van Azarja tot aan den hoek en tot aan het punt; 25Palal, de zoon van Uzai, tegen den hoek, en den hogen toren over, die van des konings huis uitsteekt, die bij den voorhof der gevangenis is; na hem Pedaja, de zoon van Paros; 26De Nethinim nu, die in Ofel woonden, tot tegenover de Waterpoort aan het oosten, en den uitstekenden toren. 27Daarna verbeterden de Thekoieten een ander maat; tegenover den groten uitstekenden toren, en tot aan den muur van Ofel. 28Van boven de Paardenpoort verbeterden de priesteren, een iegelijk tegenover zijn huis. 29Daarna verbeterde Zadok, de zoon van Immer, tegenover zijn huis. En na hem verbeterde Semaja, de zoon van Sechanja, de bewaarder van de Oostpoort. 30Na hem verbeterden Hananja, de zoon van Selemja, en Hanun, de zoon van Zalaf, de zesde, een andere maat. Na hem verbeterde Mesullam, de zoon van Berechja, tegenover zijn kamer. 31Na hem verbeterde Malchia, de zoon eens goudsmids, tot aan het huis der Nethinim en der kruideniers, tegenover de poort van Mifkad, en tot de opperzaal van het punt. 32En tussen de opperzaal van het punt tot de Schaapspoort toe, verbeterden de goudsmeden en de kruideniers.
