1Y REASUMIÓ Job su discurso, y dijo: 2Vive Dios, el cual ha apartado mi causa, y el Omnipotente, que amargó el alma mía, 3Que todo el tiempo que mi alma estuviere en mí, y hubiere hálito de Dios en mis narices, 4Mis labios no hablarán iniquidad, ni mi lengua pronunciará engaño. 5Nunca tal acontezca que yo os justifique: hasta morir no quitaré de mí mi integridad. 6Mi justicia tengo asida, y no la cederé: no me reprochará mi corazón en el tiempo de mi vida. 7Sea como el impío mi enemigo, y como el inicuo mi adversario. 8Porque ¿cuál es la esperanza del hipócrita, por mucho que hubiere robado, cuando Dios arrebatare su alma? 9¿Oirá Dios su clamor cuando la tribulación sobre él viniere? 10¿Deleitaráse en el Omnipotente? ¿invocará á Dios en todo tiempo? 11Yo os enseñaré en orden á la mano de Dios: no esconderé lo que hay para con el Omnipotente. 12He aquí que todos vosotros lo habéis visto: ¿por qué pues os desvanecéis con fantasía? 13Esta es para con Dios la suerte del hombre impío, y la herencia que los violentos han de recibir del Omnipotente. 14Si sus hijos fueren multiplicados, serán para el cuchillo; y sus pequeños no se hartarán de pan; 15Los que le quedaren, en muerte serán sepultados; y no llorarán sus viudas. 16Si amontonare plata como polvo, y si preparare ropa como lodo; 17Habrála él preparado, mas el justo se vestirá, y el inocente repartirá la plata. 18Edificó su casa como la polilla, y cual cabaña que el guarda hizo. 19El rico dormirá, mas no será recogido: abrirá sus ojos, mas él no será. 20Asirán de él terrores como aguas: torbellino lo arrebatará de noche. 21Lo antecogerá el solano, y partirá; y tempestad lo arrebatará del lugar suyo. 22Dios pues descargará sobre él, y no perdonará: hará él por huir de su mano. 23Batirán sus manos sobre él, y desde su lugar le silbarán.
1Job again took up his parable, and said, 2“As God lives, who has taken away my right, the Almighty, who has made my soul bitter. 3(For the length of my life is still in me, and the spirit of God is in my nostrils); 4surely my lips shall not speak unrighteousness, neither shall my tongue utter deceit. 5Far be it from me that I should justify you. Until I die I will not put away my integrity from me. 6I hold fast to my righteousness, and will not let it go. My heart shall not reproach me so long as I live. 7“Let my enemy be as the wicked. Let him who rises up against me be as the unrighteous. 8For what is the hope of the godless, when he is cut off, when God takes away his life? 9Will God hear his cry when trouble comes on him? 10Will he delight himself in the Almighty, and call on God at all times? 11I will teach you about the hand of God. That which is with the Almighty will I not conceal. 12Behold, all of you have seen it yourselves; why then have you become altogether vain? 13“This is the portion of a wicked man with God, the heritage of oppressors, which they receive from the Almighty. 14If his children are multiplied, it is for the sword. His offspring shall not be satisfied with bread. 15Those who remain of him shall be buried in death. His widows shall make no lamentation. 16Though he heap up silver as the dust, and prepare clothing as the clay; 17he may prepare it, but the just shall put it on, and the innocent shall divide the silver. 18He builds his house as the moth, as a booth which the watchman makes. 19He lies down rich, but he shall not do so again. He opens his eyes, and he is not. 20Terrors overtake him like waters. A storm steals him away in the night. 21The east wind carries him away, and he departs. It sweeps him out of his place. 22For it hurls at him, and does not spare, as he flees away from his hand. 23Men shall clap their hands at him, and shall hiss him out of his place.
1En Job ging voort zijn spreuk op te heffen, en zeide: 2Zo waarachtig als God leeft, Die mijn recht weggenomen heeft, en de Almachtige, Die mijner ziel bitterheid heeft aangedaan! 3Zo lang als mijn adem in mij zal zijn, en het geblaas Gods in mijn neus; 4Indien mijn lippen onrecht zullen spreken, en indien mijn tong bedrog zal uitspreken! 5Het zij verre van mij, dat ik ulieden rechtvaardigen zou; totdat ik den geest zal gegeven hebben, zal ik mijn oprechtigheid van mij niet wegdoen. 6Aan mijn gerechtigheid zal ik vasthouden, en zal ze niet laten varen; mijn hart zal die niet versmaden van mijn dagen. 7Mijn vijand zij als de goddeloze, en die zich tegen mij opmaakt, als de verkeerde. 8Want wat is de verwachting des huichelaars, als hij zal gierig geweest zijn, wanneer God zijn ziel zal uittrekken? 9Zal God zijn geroep horen, als benauwdheid over hem komt? 10Zal hij zich verlustigen in den Almachtige? Zal hij God aanroepen te aller tijd? 11Ik zal ulieden leren van de hand Gods; wat bij den Almachtige is, zal ik niet verhelen. 12Ziet, gij zelve allen hebt het gezien; en waarom wordt gij dus door ijdelheid verijdeld? 13Dit is het deel des goddelozen mensen bij God, en de erve der tirannen, die zij van den Almachtige ontvangen zullen. 14Indien zijn kinderen vermenigvuldigen, het is ten zwaarde; en zijn spruiten zullen van brood niet verzadigd worden. 15Zijn overgeblevenen zullen in den dood begraven worden, en zijn weduwen zullen niet wenen. 16Zo hij zilver opgehoopt zal hebben als stof, en kleding bereid als leem; 17Hij zal ze bereiden, maar de rechtvaardige zal ze aantrekken, en de onschuldige zal het zilver delen. 18Hij bouwt zijn huis als een motte, en als een hoeder de hutte maakt. 19Rijk ligt hij neder, en wordt niet weggenomen; doet hij zijn ogen open, zo is hij er niet. 20Verschrikkingen zullen hem als wateren aangrijpen; des nachts zal hem een wervelwind wegstelen. 21De oostenwind zal hem wegvoeren, dat hij henengaat, en zal hem wegstormen uit zijn plaats. 22En God zal dit over hem werpen, en niet sparen; van Zijn hand zal hij snellijk vlieden. 23Een ieder zal over hem met zijn handen klappen, en over hem fluiten uit zijn plaats.
