1LEVÁNTATE, resplandece; que ha venido tu lumbre, y la gloria de Jehová ha nacido sobre ti. 2Porque he aquí que tinieblas cubrirán la tierra, y oscuridad los pueblos: mas sobre ti nacerá Jehová, y sobre ti será vista su gloria. 3Y andarán las gentes á tu luz, y los reyes al resplandor de tu nacimiento. 4Alza tus ojos en derredor, y mira: todos estos se han juntado, vinieron á ti: tus hijos vendrán de lejos, y tus hijas sobre el lado serán criadas. 5Entonces verás y resplandecerás; y se maravillará y ensanchará tu corazón, que se haya vuelto á ti la multitud de la mar, y la fortaleza de las gentes haya venido á ti. 6Multitud de camellos te cubrirá, dromedarios de Madián y de Epha; vendrán todos los de Seba; traerán oro é incienso, y publicarán alabanzas de Jehová. 7Todo el ganado de Cedar será juntado para ti: carneros de Nebayoth te serán servidos: serán ofrecidos con agrado sobre mi altar, y glorificaré la casa de mi gloria. 8¿Quiénes son estos que vuelan como nubes, y como palomas á sus ventanas? 9Ciertamente á mí esperarán las islas, y las naves de Tarsis desde el principio, para traer tus hijos de lejos, su plata y su oro con ellos, al nombre de Jehová tu Dios, y al Santo de Israel, que te ha glorificado. 10Y los hijos de los extranjeros edificarán tus muros, y sus reyes te servirán; porque en mi ira te herí, mas en mi buena voluntad tendré de ti misericordia. 11Tus puertas estarán de continuo abiertas; no se cerrarán de día ni de noche; para que sea traída á ti fortaleza de gentes, y sus reyes conducidos. 12Porque la gente ó el reino que no te sirviere, perecerá; y del todo serán asoladas. 13La gloria del Líbano vendrá á ti, hayas, pinos, y bojes juntamente, para decorar el lugar de mi santuario; y yo honraré el lugar de mis pies. 14Y vendrán á ti humillados los hijos de los que te afligieron, y á las pisadas de tus pies se encorvarán todos los que te escarnecían, y llamarte han Ciudad de Jehová, Sión del Santo de Israel. 15En lugar de que has sido desechada y aborrecida, y que no había quien por ti pasase, ponerte he en gloria perpetua, gozo de generación y generación. 16Y mamarás la leche de las gentes, el pecho de los reyes mamarás; y conocerás que yo Jehová soy el Salvador tuyo, y Redentor tuyo, el Fuerte de Jacob. 17En vez de cobre traeré oro, y por hierro plata, y por madera metal, y en lugar de piedras hierro; y pondré paz por tu tributo, y justicia por tus exactores. 18Nunca más se oirá en tu tierra violencia, destrucción ni quebrantamiento en tus términos; mas á tus muros llamarás Salud, y á tus puertas Alabanza. 19El sol nunca más te servirá de luz para el día, ni el resplandor de la luna te alumbrará; sino que Jehová te será por luz perpetua, y el Dios tuyo por tu gloria. 20No se pondrá jamás tu sol, ni menguará tu luna: porque te será Jehová por luz perpetua, y los días de tu luto serán acabados. 21Y tu pueblo, todos ellos serán justos, para siempre heredarán la tierra; renuevos de mi plantío, obra de mis manos, para glorificarme. 22El pequeño será por mil, el menor, por gente fuerte. Yo Jehová á su tiempo haré que esto sea presto.
1“Arise, shine; for your light has come, and Yahweh’s glory is risen on you. 2For, behold, darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the peoples; but Yahweh will arise on you, and his glory shall be seen on you. 3Nations shall come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your rising. 4“Lift up your eyes all around, and see: they all gather themselves together, they come to you; your sons shall come from far, and your daughters shall be carried in the arms. 5Then you shall see and be radiant, and your heart shall thrill and be enlarged; because the abundance of the sea shall be turned to you, the wealth of the nations shall come to you. 6The multitude of camels shall cover you, the dromedaries of Midian and Ephah; all they from Sheba shall come; they shall bring gold and frankincense, and shall proclaim the praises of Yahweh. 7All the flocks of Kedar shall be gathered together to you, the rams of Nebaioth shall minister to you; they shall come up with acceptance on my altar; and I will glorify the house of my glory. 8“Who are these who fly as a cloud, and as the doves to their windows? 9Surely the islands shall wait for me, and the ships of Tarshish first, to bring your sons from far, their silver and their gold with them, for the name of Yahweh your God, and for the Holy One of Israel, because he has glorified you. 10“Foreigners shall build up your walls, and their kings shall minister to you: for in my wrath I struck you, but in my favor have I had mercy on you. 11Your gates also shall be open continually; they shall not be shut day nor night; that men may bring to you the wealth of the nations, and their kings led captive. 12For that nation and kingdom that will not serve you shall perish; yes, those nations shall be utterly wasted. 13“The glory of Lebanon shall come to you, the fir tree, the pine, and the box tree together, to beautify the place of my sanctuary; and I will make the place of my feet glorious. 14The sons of those who afflicted you shall come bending to you; and all those who despised you shall bow themselves down at the soles of your feet; and they shall call you The city of Yahweh, The Zion of the Holy One of Israel. 15“Whereas you have been forsaken and hated, so that no man passed through you, I will make you an eternal excellency, a joy of many generations. 16You shall also drink the milk of the nations, and shall nurse from royal breasts; and you shall know that I, Yahweh, am your Savior, and your Redeemer, the Mighty One of Jacob. 17For brass I will bring gold, and for iron I will bring silver, and for wood brass, and for stones iron. I will also make your officers peace, and righteousness your ruler. 18Violence shall no more be heard in your land, desolation nor destruction within your borders; but you shall call your walls Salvation, and your gates Praise. 19The sun shall be no more your light by day; neither for brightness shall the moon give light to you: but Yahweh will be to you an everlasting light, and your God your glory. 20Your sun shall no more go down, neither shall your moon withdraw itself; for Yahweh will be your everlasting light, and the days of your mourning shall be ended. 21Your people also shall be all righteous; they shall inherit the land forever, the branch of my planting, the work of my hands, that I may be glorified. 22The little one shall become a thousand, and the small one a strong nation; I, Yahweh, will hasten it in its time.”
1Maak u op, word verlicht, want uw Licht komt, en de heerlijkheid des HEEREN gaat over u op. 2Want zie, de duisternis zal de aarde bedekken, en donkerheid de volken; doch over u zal de HEERE opgaan, en Zijn heerlijkheid zal over u gezien worden. 3En de heidenen zullen tot uw licht gaan, en koningen tot den glans, die u is opgegaan. 4Hef uw ogen rondom op, en zie, die allen zijn vergaderd, zij komen tot u; uw zonen zullen van verre komen, en uw dochters zullen aan uw zijde gevoedsterd worden. 5Dan zult gij het zien en samenvloeien, en uw hart zal vervaard zijn en verwijd worden; want de menigte de zee zal tot u gekeerd worden, het heir der heidenen zal tot u komen. 6Een hoop kemelen zal u bedekken, de snelle kemelen van Midian en Hefa; zij allen uit Scheba zullen komen; goud en wierook zullen zij aanbrengen, en zij zullen den overvloedigen lof des HEEREN boodschappen. 7Al de schapen van Kedar zullen tot u verzameld worden; de rammen van Nebajoth zullen u dienen; zij zullen met welgevallen komen op Mijn altaar, en Ik zal het huis Mijner heerlijkheid heerlijk maken. 8Wie zijn deze, die daar komen gevlogen als een wolk, en als duiven tot haar vensters? 9Want de eilanden zullen Mij verwachten, en de schepen van Tarsis vooreerst, om uw kinderen van verre te brengen, hun zilver en hun goud met hen, tot den Naam des HEEREN uws Gods, en tot den Heilige Israels, dewijl Hij u heerlijk gemaakt heeft. 10En de vreemden zullen uw muren bouwen, en hun koningen zullen u dienen; want in Mijn verbolgenheid heb Ik u geslagen, maar in Mijn welbehagen heb Ik Mij over u ontfermd. 11En uw poorten zullen steeds openstaan, zij zullen des daags of des nachts niet toegesloten worden; opdat men tot u inbrenge het heir der heidenen, en hun koningen tot u geleid worden. 12Want het volk en het koninkrijk, welke u niet zullen dienen, die zullen vergaan; en die volken zullen gans verwoest worden. 13De heerlijkheid van Libanon zal tot u komen, de denneboom, de beukeboom en de busboom te gelijk, om te versieren de plaats Mijns heiligdoms, en Ik zal de plaats Mijner voeten heerlijk maken. 14Ook zullen, zich buigende, tot u komen de kinderen dergenen, die u onderdrukt hebben, en allen, die u gelasterd hebben zullen zich nederbuigen aan de planten uwer voeten; en zij zullen u noemen de stad des HEEREN, het Sion van den Heilige Israels. 15In plaats dat gij verlaten en gehaat zijt geweest, zodat niemand door u henen ging, zo zal Ik u stellen tot een eeuwige heerlijkheid, tot een vreugde van geslacht tot geslacht. 16En gij zult de melk der heidenen zuigen, en gij zult de borsten der koningen zuigen; en gij zult weten, dat Ik de HEERE ben, uw Heiland, en uw Verlosser, de Machtige Jakobs. 17Voor koper zal Ik goud brengen, en voor ijzer zal Ik zilver brengen, en voor hout koper, en voor stenen ijzer; en zal uw opzieners vreedzaam maken, en uw drijvers rechtvaardigen. 18Er zal geen geweld meer gehoord worden in uw land, verstoring noch verbreking in uw landpale; maar uw muren zult gij Heil heten, en uw poorten Lof. 19De zon zal u niet meer wezen tot een licht des daags, en tot een glans zal u de maan niet lichten; maar de HEERE zal u wezen tot een eeuwig Licht, en uw God tot uw Sierlijkheid. 20Uw zon zal niet meer ondergaan, en uw maan zal haar licht niet intrekken; want de HEERE zal u tot een eeuwig licht wezen, en de dagen uwer treuring zullen een einde nemen. 21En uw volk zullen allen te zamen rechtvaardigen zijn, zij zullen in eeuwigheid de aarde erfelijk bezitten; zij zullen zijn een spruit Mijner plantingen, een werk Mijner handen, opdat Ik verheerlijkt worde. 22De kleinste zal tot duizend worden, en de minste tot een machtig volk; Ik, de HEERE, zal zulks te zijner tijd snellijk doen komen.
