1Και ευλόγησεν ο Θεός τον Νώε και τους υιούς αυτού· και είπε προς αυτούς, Αυξάνεσθε και πληθύνεσθε, και γεμίσατε την γήν· 2και ο φόβος σας και ο τρόμος σας θέλει είσθαι επί πάντα τα ζώα της γης, και επί πάντα τα πτηνά του ουρανού, επί παν ό,τι έρπει επί της γης, και επί πάντας τους ιχθύας της θαλάσσης· εις τας χείρας σας εδόθησαν· 3παν κινούμενον, το οποίον ζη, θέλει είσθαι εις σας προς τροφήν· ως τον χλωρόν χόρτον έδωκα τα πάντα εις εσάς· 4κρέας όμως με την ζωήν αυτού, με το αίμα αυτού, δεν θέλετε φάγει· 5και εξάπαντος το αίμα σας, το αίμα της ζωής σας, θέλω εκζητήσει εκ της χειρός παντός ζώου θέλω εκζητήσει αυτό, και εκ της χειρός του ανθρώπου· εκ της χειρός παντός αδελφού αυτού θέλω εκζητήσει την ζωήν του ανθρώπου· 6όστις χύση αίμα ανθρώπου, υπό ανθρώπου θέλει χυθή το αίμα αυτού· διότι κατ' εικόνα Θεού εποίησεν ο Θεός τον άνθρωπον· 7σεις δε αυξάνεσθε και πληθύνεσθε, πολλαπλασιάζεσθε επί της γης, και πληθύνεσθε επ' αυτής. 8Και είπεν ο Θεός προς τον Νώε και προς τους υιούς αυτού μετ' αυτού, λέγων, 9Και εγώ, ιδού, στήνω την διαθήκην μου προς εσάς, και προς το σπέρμα σας ύστερον από σάς· 10και προς παν έμψυχον ζώον, το οποίον είναι με σας, εκ των πτηνών, εκ των κτηνών και εκ πάντων των ζώων της γης, τα οποία είναι με σάς· από παντός του εξελθόντος εκ της κιβωτού, έως παντός ζώου της γής· 11και στήνω την διαθήκην μου προς εσάς· και δεν θέλει πλέον εξολοθρευθή πάσα σαρξ από των υδάτων του κατακλυσμού· ουδέ θέλει είσθαι πλέον κατακλυσμός διά να φθείρη την γην. 12Και είπεν ο Θεός, Τούτο είναι το σημείον της διαθήκης, την οποίαν εγώ κάμνω μεταξύ εμού και υμών και παντός εμψύχου ζώου το οποίον είναι με σας, εις γενεάς αιωνίους· 13Θέτω το τόξον μου εν τη νεφέλη, και θέλει είσθαι εις σημείον διαθήκης μεταξύ εμού και της γής· 14και όταν συννεφώσω νεφέλην επί της γης, θέλει φανή το τόξον εν τη νεφέλη· 15και θέλω ενθυμηθή την διαθήκην μου, την μεταξύ εμού και υμών, και παντός εμψύχου ζώου εκ πάσης σαρκός· και τα ύδατα δεν θέλουσιν είσθαι πλέον εις κατακλυσμόν διά να εξαλείψωσι πάσαν σάρκα· 16και το τόξον θέλει είσθαι εν τη νεφέλη· και θέλω βλέπει αυτό, διά να ενθυμώμαι την παντοτεινήν διαθήκην την μεταξύ Θεού και παντός εμψύχου ζώου εκ πάσης σαρκός ήτις είναι επί της γης. 17Και είπεν ο Θεός προς τον Νώε, Τούτο είναι το σημείον της διαθήκης, την οποίαν έστησα μεταξύ εμού και πάσης σαρκός ήτις είναι επί της γης. 18Ήσαν δε οι υιοί του Νώε, οι εξελθόντες εκ της κιβωτού, Σημ και Χαμ και Ιάφεθ. Ο δε Χαμ ήτο πατήρ του Χαναάν. 19Οι τρεις ούτοι είναι οι υιοί του Νώε, και εκ τούτων διεσπάρησαν εις πάσαν την γην. 20Και ήρχισεν ο Νώε να ήναι γεωργός και εφύτευσεν αμπελώνα· 21και έπιεν εκ του οίνου και εμεθύσθη, και εγυμνώθη εν τη σκηνή αυτού. 22Και είδεν ο Χαμ, ο πατήρ του Χαναάν, την γύμνωσιν του πατρός αυτού· και ανήγγειλε τούτο προς τους δύο αδελφούς αυτού έξω. 23Και λαβόντες ο Σημ και ο Ιάφεθ το ένδυμα, επέθηκαν αυτό επί τα δύο αυτών νώτα· και βαδίσαντες οπισθόνωτα, εσκέπασαν την γύμνωσιν του πατρός αυτών· και τα πρόσωπα αυτών ήσαν προς τα οπίσω, και την γύμνωσιν του πατρός αυτών δεν είδον. 24Ανανήψας δε ο Νώε από του οίνου αυτού, έμαθεν όσα έκαμεν εις αυτόν ο υιός αυτού ο νεώτερος. 25Και είπεν, Επικατάρατος ο Χαναάν· δούλος των δούλων θέλει είσθαι εις τους αδελφούς αυτού. 26Και είπεν, Ευλογητός Κύριος ο Θεός του Σημ. Και ο Χαναάν θέλει είσθαι δούλος εις αυτόν· 27ο Θεός θέλει πλατύνει τον Ιάφεθ, και θέλει κατοικήσει εν ταις σκηναίς του Σημ, ο δε Χαναάν θέλει είσθαι δούλος εις αυτόν· 28Και έζησεν ο Νώε μετά τον κατακλυσμόν τριακόσια πεντήκοντα έτη. 29Και έγειναν πάσαι αι ημέραι του Νώε εννεακόσια πεντήκοντα έτη· και απέθανε.
1God blessed Noah and his sons, and said to them, “Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth. 2The fear of you and the dread of you will be on every animal of the earth, and on every bird of the sky. Everything that moves along the ground, and all the fish of the sea, are delivered into your hand. 3Every moving thing that lives will be food for you. As I gave you the green herb, I have given everything to you. 4But flesh with its life, that is, its blood, you shall not eat. 5I will surely require your blood of your lives; at the hand of every animal I will require it. At the hand of man, even at the hand of every man’s brother, I will require the life of man. 6Whoever sheds man’s blood, his blood will be shed by man, for God made man in his own image. 7Be fruitful and multiply. Increase abundantly in the earth, and multiply in it.” 8God spoke to Noah and to his sons with him, saying, 9“As for me, behold, I establish my covenant with you, and with your offspring after you, 10and with every living creature that is with you: the birds, the livestock, and every animal of the earth with you, of all that go out of the ship, even every animal of the earth. 11I will establish my covenant with you: All flesh will not be cut off any more by the waters of the flood, neither will there ever again be a flood to destroy the earth.” 12God said, “This is the token of the covenant which I make between me and you and every living creature that is with you, for perpetual generations: 13I set my rainbow in the cloud, and it will be a sign of a covenant between me and the earth. 14When I bring a cloud over the earth, that the rainbow will be seen in the cloud, 15and I will remember my covenant, which is between me and you and every living creature of all flesh, and the waters will no more become a flood to destroy all flesh. 16The rainbow will be in the cloud. I will look at it, that I may remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living creature of all flesh that is on the earth.” 17God said to Noah, “This is the token of the covenant which I have established between me and all flesh that is on the earth.” 18The sons of Noah who went out from the ship were Shem, Ham, and Japheth. Ham is the father of Canaan. 19These three were the sons of Noah, and from these, the whole earth was populated. 20Noah began to be a farmer, and planted a vineyard. 21He drank of the wine and got drunk. He was uncovered within his tent. 22Ham, the father of Canaan, saw the nakedness of his father, and told his two brothers outside. 23Shem and Japheth took a garment, and laid it on both their shoulders, went in backwards, and covered the nakedness of their father. Their faces were backwards, and they didn’t see their father’s nakedness. 24Noah awoke from his wine, and knew what his youngest son had done to him. 25He said, “Canaan is cursed. He will be a servant of servants to his brothers.” 26He said, “Blessed be Yahweh, the God of Shem. Let Canaan be his servant. 27May God enlarge Japheth. Let him dwell in the tents of Shem. Let Canaan be his servant.” 28Noah lived three hundred fifty years after the flood. 29All the days of Noah were nine hundred fifty years, and then he died.
1En God zegende Noach en zijn zonen, en Hij zeide tot hen: Zijt vruchtbaar en vermenigvuldigt, en vervult de aarde! 2En uw vrees, en uw verschrikking zij over al het gedierte der aarde, en over al het gevogelte des hemels; in al wat zich op den aardbodem roert, en in alle vissen der zee; zij zijn in uw hand overgegeven. 3Al wat zich roert, dat levend is, zij u tot spijze; Ik heb het u al gegeven, gelijk het groene kruid. 4Doch het vlees met zijn ziel, dat is zijn bloed, zult gij niet eten. 5En voorwaar, Ik zal uw bloed, het bloed uwer zielen eisen; van de hand van alle gedierte zal Ik het eisen; ook van de hand des mensen, van de hand eens iegelijken zijns broeders zal Ik de ziel des mensen eisen. 6Wie des mensen bloed vergiet, zijn bloed zal door den mens vergoten worden; want God heeft den mens naar Zijn beeld gemaakt. 7Maar gijlieden, weest vruchtbaar, en vermenigvuldigt; teelt overvloediglijk voort op de aarde, en vermenigvuldigt op dezelve. 8Voorts zeide God tot Noach, en tot zijn zonen met hem, zeggende: 9Maar Ik, ziet, Ik richt Mijn verbond op met u, en met uw zaad na u; 10En met alle levende ziel, die met u is, van het gevogelte, van het vee, en van alle gedierte der aarde met u; van allen, die uit de ark gegaan zijn, tot al het gedierte der aarde toe. 11En Ik richt Mijn verbond op met u, dat niet meer alle vlees door de wateren des vloeds zal worden uitgeroeid; en dat er geen vloed meer zal zijn, om de aarde te verderven. 12En God zeide: Dit is het teken des verbonds, dat Ik geef tussen Mij en tussen ulieden, en tussen alle levende ziel, die met u is, tot eeuwige geslachten. 13Mijn boog heb Ik gegeven in de wolken; die zal zijn tot een teken des verbonds tussen Mij en tussen de aarde. 14En het zal geschieden, als Ik wolken over de aarde brenge, dat deze boog zal gezien worden in de wolken; 15Dan zal Ik gedenken aan Mijn verbond, hetwelk is tussen Mij en tussen u, en tussen alle levende ziel van alle vlees; en de wateren zullen niet meer wezen tot een vloed, om alle vlees te verderven. 16Als deze boog in de wolken zal zijn, zo zal Ik hem aanzien, om te gedenken aan het eeuwig verbond tussen God en tussen alle levende ziel, van alle vlees, dat op de aarde is. 17Zo zeide dan God tot Noach: Dit is het teken des verbonds, dat Ik opgericht heb tussen Mij en tussen alle vlees, dat op de aarde is. 18En de zonen van Noach, die uit de ark gingen, waren Sem, en Cham, en Jafeth; en Cham is de vader van Kanaan. 19Deze drie waren de zonen van Noach; en van dezen is de ganse aarde overspreid. 20En Noach begon een akkerman te zijn, en hij plantte een wijngaard. 21En hij dronk van dien wijn, en werd dronken; en hij ontblootte zich in het midden zijner tent. 22En Cham, Kanaans vader, zag zijns vaders naaktheid, en hij gaf het zijn beiden broederen daar buiten te kennen. 23Toen namen Sem en Jafeth een kleed, en zij legden het op hun beider schouderen, en gingen achterwaarts, en bedekten de naaktheid huns vaders; en hun aangezichten waren achterwaarts, gekeerd zodat zij de naaktheid huns vaders niet zagen. 24En Noach ontwaakte van zijn wijn; en hij merkte wat zijn kleinste zoon hem gedaan had. 25En hij zeide: Vervloekt zij Kanaan; een knecht der knechten zij hij zijn broederen! 26Voorts zeide hij: Gezegend zij de HEERE, de God van Sem; en Kanaan zij hem een knecht! 27God breide Jafeth uit, en hij wone in Sems tenten! en Kanaan zij hem een knecht! 28En Noach leefde na den vloed driehonderd en vijftig jaren. 29Zo waren al de dagen van Noach negenhonderd en vijftig jaren; en hij stierf.
