1Ðức Chúa Jêsus khởi phán thí dụ cùng họ rằng: Một người kia trồng vườn nho, rào chung quanh, ở trong đào một cái hầm ép rượu, và dựng một cái tháp; đoạn cho mấy người làm nghề trồng nho thuê, mà lìa bổn xứ. 2Tới mùa, chủ vườn sai một đầy tớ đến cùng bọn trồng nho, đặng thâu lấy phần hoa lợi vườn nho nơi tay họ. 3Nhưng họ bắt đầy tớ mà đánh rồi đuổi về tay không. 4Người sai một đầy tớ khác đến; nhưng họ đánh đầu nó và chưởi rủa nữa. 5Người còn sai đứa khác đến, thì họ giết đi; lại sai nhiều đứa khác nữa, đứa thì bị họ đánh, đứa thì bị họ giết. 6Chủ vườn còn đứa con trai một rất yêu dấu, bèn sai đi lần cuối cùng mà nói rằng: Chúng nó sẽ kính vì con ta! 7Nhưng bọn trồng nho đó bàn với nhau rằng: Thằng nầy là con kế tự; hè, ta hãy giết nó, thì phần gia tài nó sẽ về chúng ta. 8Họ bắt con trai ấy giết đi, ném ra ngoài vườn nho. 9Vậy thì chủ vườn nho sẽ làm thế nào? Người sẽ đến giết bọn trồng nho đó, rồi lấy vườn nho lại mà cho người khác. 10Các người há chưa đọc lời Kinh Thánh nầy: Hòn đá bị thợ xây nhà bỏ ra, Ðã trở nên đá góc nhà; 11Ấy là công việc của Chúa, Và là việc rất lạ trước mắt chúng ta, hay sao? 12Những người đó bèn tìm cách bắt Ngài, vì biết rõ rằng Ngài phán thí dụ ấy chỉ về mình; song sợ dân chúng, nên bỏ Ngài mà đi. 13Kế đó, họ sai mấy người thuộc về phe Pha-ri-si và đảng Hê-rốt đến, để bắt lỗi Ngài trong lời nói. 14Vậy, mấy người ấy đến, thưa Ngài rằng: Lạy thầy, chúng tôi biết thầy là người thật, không lo sợ gì ai; vì thầy không xem bề ngoài người ta, nhưng dạy đạo Ðức Chúa Trời theo mọi lẽ thật. Có nên nộp thuế cho Sê-sa hay không? Chúng tôi phải nộp hay là không nộp? 15Nhưng Ngài biết sự giả hình của họ thì phán rằng: Các ngươi thử ta làm chi? Hãy đem cho ta xem một đồng đơ-ni-ê. 16Họ đem cho Ngài một đồng, Ngài bèn phán rằng: Hình và hiệu nầy của ai? Họ trả lời rằng: Của Sê-sa. 17Ðức Chúa Jêsus phán rằng: Vật chi của Sê-sa hãy trả lại cho Sê-sa, còn vật chi của Ðức Chúa Trời hãy trả lại cho Ðức Chúa Trời. Họ đều lấy làm lạ về Ngài. 18Các người Sa-đu-sê, là những kẻ vẫn nói rằng không có sự sống lại, đến gần mà hỏi Ngài rằng: 19Thưa thầy, Môi-se đã ban cho chúng tôi luật nầy: Nếu một người kia có anh em qua đời, để vợ lại, không con, thì người kia phải lấy vợ góa đó đặng nối dòng dõi cho anh em mình. 20Vả, có bảy anh em. Người thứ nhứt cưới vợ, rồi chết, không có con. 21Người thứ hai lấy vợ góa ấy, sau chết, cũng không có con; rồi đến người thứ ba cũng vậy. 22Trong bảy người, chẳng ai để con lại. Sau hết, người đờn bà cũng chết. 23Lúc sống lại, đờn bà đó là vợ ai trong bảy anh em? vì hết thảy đều đã lấy người làm vợ. 24Ðức Chúa Jêsus đáp rằng: Há chẳng phải các ngươi lầm, vì không biết Kinh Thánh, cũng không hiểu quyền phép Ðức Chúa Trời sao? 25Vì đến lúc người ta từ kẻ chết sống lại, thì chẳng cưới vợ, chẳng lấy chồng; nhưng các người sống lại đó ở như thiên sứ trên trời vậy. 26Còn về những người chết được sống lại, thì trong sách Môi-se có chép lời Ðức Chúa Trời phán cùng người trong bụi gai rằng: Ta là Ðức Chúa Trời của Áp-ra-ham, Ðức Chúa Trời của Y-sác, Ðức Chúa Trời của Gia-cốp, các ngươi há chưa đọc đến sao? 27Ngài chẳng phải là Ðức Chúa Trời của kẻ chết, mà là của kẻ sống! Thật các ngươi lầm to. 28Bấy giờ, có một thầy thông giáo nghe Chúa và người Sa-đu-sê biện luận với nhau, biết Ðức Chúa Jêsus đã khéo đáp, bèn đến gần hỏi Ngài rằng: Trong các điều răn, điều nào là đầu hết? 29Ðức Chúa Jêsus đáp rằng: Nầy là điều đầu nhứt: Hỡi Y-sơ-ra-ên, hãy nghe, Chúa, Ðức Chúa Trời chúng ta, là Chúa có một. 30Ngươi phải hết lòng, hết linh hồn, hết trí khôn, hết sức mà kính mến Chúa là Ðức Chúa Trời ngươi. 31Nầy là điều thứ hai: Ngươi phải yêu kẻ lân cận như mình. Chẳng có điều răn nào lớn hơn hai điều đó. 32Thầy thông giáo trả lời rằng: Thưa thầy, thầy nói phải, hiệp lý lắm, thật Ðức Chúa Trời là có một, ngoài Ngài chẳng có Chúa nào khác nữa; 33thật phải kính mến Chúa hết lòng, hết trí, hết sức và yêu kẻ lân cận như mình, ấy là hơn mọi của lễ thiêu cùng hết thảy các của lễ. 34Ðức Chúa Jêsus thấy người trả lời như người khôn, thì phán rằng: Ngươi chẳng cách xa nước Ðức Chúa Trời đâu. Rồi không ai dám hỏi Ngài nữa. 35Ðức Chúa Jêsus đương dạy dỗ trong đền thờ, bèn cất tiếng phán những lời nầy: Sao các thầy thông giáo Ðấng Christ là con Ða-vít? 36Chính Ða-vít đã cảm Ðức Thánh Linh mà nói rằng: Chúa phán cùng Chúa tôi; Hãy ngồi bên hữu ta, Cho đến chừng nào ta để kẻ thù nghịch ngươi làm bệ dưới chơn ngươi. 37Vì chính Ða-vít xưng Ngài bằng Chúa, thì lẽ nào Ngài là con vua ấy? Ðoàn dân đông vui lòng mà nghe Ngài. 38Trong lúc dạy dỗ, Ngài lại phán rằng: Hãy giữ mình về các thầy thông giáo, là kẻ ưa mặc áo dài đi chơi, thích người ta chào mình giữa chợ 39muốn ngôi cao nhứt trong các nhà hội cùng trong các đám tiệc, 40nuốt các nhà đờn bà góa, mà làm bộ đọc lời cầu nguyện dài. Họ sẽ bị phạt càng nặng hơn nữa. 41Ðức Chúa Jêsus ngồi đối ngang cái rương đựng tiền dâng, coi dân chúng bỏ tiền vào thể nào. 42Có lắm người giàu bỏ nhiều tiền; cũng có một mụ góa nghèo kia đến bỏ hai đồng tiền ăn một phần tư xu. 43Ngài bèn kêu môn đồ mà phán rằng: Quả thật, ta nói cùng các ngươi, mụ góa nghèo nầy đã bỏ tiền vào rương nhiều hơn hết thảy những người đã bỏ vào. 44Vì mọi kẻ khác lấy của dư mình bỏ vào, còn mụ nầy nghèo cực lắm, đã bỏ hết của mình có, là hết của có để nuôi mình.
1He began to speak to them in parables. “A man planted a vineyard, put a hedge around it, dug a pit for the wine press, built a tower, rented it out to a farmer, and went into another country. 2When it was time, he sent a servant to the farmer to get from the farmer his share of the fruit of the vineyard. 3They took him, beat him, and sent him away empty. 4Again, he sent another servant to them; and they threw stones at him, wounded him in the head, and sent him away shamefully treated. 5Again he sent another; and they killed him; and many others, beating some, and killing some. 6Therefore still having one, his beloved son, he sent him last to them, saying, ‘They will respect my son.’ 7But those farmers said among themselves, ‘This is the heir. Come, let’s kill him, and the inheritance will be ours.’ 8They took him, killed him, and cast him out of the vineyard. 9What therefore will the lord of the vineyard do? He will come and destroy the farmers, and will give the vineyard to others. 10Haven’t you even read this Scripture: ‘The stone which the builders rejected, the same was made the head of the corner. 11This was from the Lord, it is marvelous in our eyes’?” 12They tried to seize him, but they feared the multitude; for they perceived that he spoke the parable against them. They left him, and went away. 13They sent some of the Pharisees and of the Herodians to him, that they might trap him with words. 14When they had come, they asked him, “Teacher, we know that you are honest, and don’t defer to anyone; for you aren’t partial to anyone, but truly teach the way of God. Is it lawful to pay taxes to Caesar, or not? 15Shall we give, or shall we not give?” But he, knowing their hypocrisy, said to them, “Why do you test me? Bring me a denarius, that I may see it.” 16They brought it. He said to them, “Whose is this image and inscription?” They said to him, “Caesar’s.” 17Jesus answered them, “Render to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s, and to God the things that are God’s.” They marveled greatly at him. 18There came to him Sadducees, who say that there is no resurrection. They asked him, saying, 19“Teacher, Moses wrote to us, ‘If a man’s brother dies, and leaves a wife behind him, and leaves no children, that his brother should take his wife, and raise up offspring for his brother.’ 20There were seven brothers. The first took a wife, and dying left no offspring. 21The second took her, and died, leaving no children behind him. The third likewise; 22and the seven took her and left no children. Last of all the woman also died. 23In the resurrection, when they rise, whose wife will she be of them? For the seven had her as a wife.” 24Jesus answered them, “Isn’t this because you are mistaken, not knowing the Scriptures, nor the power of God? 25For when they will rise from the dead, they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are like angels in heaven. 26But about the dead, that they are raised; haven’t you read in the book of Moses, about the Bush, how God spoke to him, saying, ‘I am the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob’ ? 27He is not the God of the dead, but of the living. You are therefore badly mistaken.” 28One of the scribes came, and heard them questioning together. Knowing that he had answered them well, asked him, “Which commandment is the greatest of all?” 29Jesus answered, “The greatest is, ‘Hear, Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one: 30you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength.’This is the first commandment. 31The second is like this, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’There is no other commandment greater than these.” 32The scribe said to him, “Truly, teacher, you have said well that he is one, and there is none other but he, 33and to love him with all the heart, and with all the understanding, with all the soul, and with all the strength, and to love his neighbor as himself, is more important than all whole burnt offerings and sacrifices.” 34When Jesus saw that he answered wisely, he said to him, “You are not far from the Kingdom of God.” No one dared ask him any question after that. 35Jesus responded, as he taught in the temple, “How is it that the scribes say that the Christ is the son of David? 36For David himself said in the Holy Spirit, ‘The Lord said to my Lord, “Sit at my right hand, until I make your enemies the footstool of your feet.”’ 37Therefore David himself calls him Lord, so how can he be his son?” The common people heard him gladly. 38In his teaching he said to them, “Beware of the scribes, who like to walk in long robes, and to get greetings in the marketplaces, 39and the best seats in the synagogues, and the best places at feasts: 40those who devour widows’ houses, and for a pretense make long prayers. These will receive greater condemnation.” 41Jesus sat down opposite the treasury, and saw how the multitude cast money into the treasury. Many who were rich cast in much. 42A poor widow came, and she cast in two small brass coins, which equal a quadrans coin. 43He called his disciples to himself, and said to them, “Most certainly I tell you, this poor widow gave more than all those who are giving into the treasury, 44for they all gave out of their abundance, but she, out of her poverty, gave all that she had to live on.”

Hij zal komen, en de landlieden verderven, en den wijngaard aan anderen geven. 10Hebt gij ook deze Schrift niet gelezen: De steen, dien de bouwlieden verworpen hebben, deze is geworden tot een hoofd des hoeks; 11Van den Heere is dit geschied, en het is wonderlijk in onze ogen. 12En zij zochten Hem te vangen, maar zij vreesden de schare; want zij verstonden, dat Hij die gelijkenis op hen sprak; en zij verlieten Hem en gingen weg. 13En zij zonden tot Hem enigen der Farizeen en der Herodianen, opdat zij Hem in Zijn rede vangen zouden. 14Dezen nu kwamen en zeiden tot Hem: Meester, wij weten, dat Gij waarachtig zijt, en naar niemand vraagt; want Gij ziet den persoon der mensen niet aan, maar Gij leert den weg Gods in der waarheid; is het geoorloofd, den keizer schatting te geven, of niet? Zullen wij geven, of niet geven? 15En Hij, wetende hun geveinsdheid, zeide tot hen: Wat verzoekt gij Mij? Brengt Mij een penning, dat Ik hem zie. 16En zij brachten een. En Hij zeide tot hen: Wiens is dit beeld, en het opschrift? En zij zeiden tot Hem: Des keizers. 17En Jezus, antwoordende, zeide tot hen: Geeft dan den keizer, dat des keizers is, en Gode, dat Gods is. Want die zeven hebben haar tot een vrouw gehad. 24En Jezus, antwoordende, zeide tot hen: Dwaalt gij niet, daarom, dat gij de Schriften niet weet, noch de kracht Gods? 25Want als zij uit de doden zullen opgestaan zijn, zo trouwen zij niet, noch worden ten huwelijk gegeven; maar zij zijn gelijk engelen, die in de hemelen zijn. 26Doch aangaande de doden, dat zij opgewekt zullen worden, hebt gij niet gelezen in het boek van Mozes, hoe God in het doornenbos tot hem gesproken heeft, zeggende: Ik ben de God Abrahams, en de God Izaks, en de God Jakobs? 27God is niet een God der doden, maar een God der levenden. Gij dwaalt dan zeer. 28En een der Schriftgeleerden horende, dat zij te zamen in woorden waren, en wetende, dat Hij hun wel geantwoord had, kwam tot Hem, en vraagde Hem: Welk is het eerste gebod van allen? 29En Jezus antwoordde hem: Het eerste van al de geboden is: Hoor, Israel, de Heere, onze God, is een enig Heere. 30En gij zult den Heere, uw God, liefhebben uit geheel uw hart, en uit geheel uw ziel, en uit geheel uw verstand, en uit geheel uw kracht. Dit is het eerste gebod. 31En het tweede aan dit gelijk, is dit: Gij zult uw naaste liefhebben als uzelven. Er is geen ander gebod, groter dan deze. 32En de schriftgeleerde zeide tot Hem: Meester, Gij hebt wel in der waarheid gezegd, dat er een enig God is, en er is geen ander dan Hij; 33En Hem lief te hebben uit geheel het hart, en uit geheel het verstand, en uit geheel de ziel, en uit geheel de kracht; en den naaste lief te hebben als zichzelven, is meer dan al de brandofferen en de slachtofferen. 34En Jezus ziende, dat hij verstandelijk geantwoord had, zeide tot hem: Gij zijt niet verre van het Koninkrijk Gods. En niemand durfde Hem meer vragen. 35En Jezus antwoordde en zeide, lerende in den tempel: Hoe zeggen de Schriftgeleerden, dat de Christus een Zoon van David is? 36Want David zelf heeft door den Heiligen Geest gezegd: De Heere heeft gezegd tot mijn Heere: Zit aan Mijn rechter hand, totdat Ik Uw vijanden zal gezet hebben tot een voetbank Uwer voeten. 37David dan zelf noemt Hem zijn Heere, en hoe is Hij zijn Zoon? En de menigte der schare hoorde Hem gaarne. 38En Hij zeide tot hen in Zijn leer: Wacht u voor de schriftgeleerden, die daar gaarne willen wandelen in lange klederen, en gegroet zijn op de markten; 39En de voorgestoelten hebben in de synagogen, en de vooraanzittingen in de maaltijden; 40Welke de huizen der weduwen opeten, en dat onder den schijn van lang te bidden. Dezen zullen zwaarder oordeel ontvangen. 41En Jezus, gezeten zijnde tegenover de schatkist, zag, hoe de schare geld wierp in de schatkist; en vele rijken wierpen veel daarin. 42En er kwam een arme weduwe, die twee kleine penningen daarin wierp, hetwelk is een oort. 43En Jezus, Zijn discipelen tot Zich geroepen hebbende, zeide tot hen: Voorwaar, Ik zeg u, dat deze arme weduwe meer ingeworpen heeft, dan allen, die in de schatkist geworpen hebben. 44Want zij allen hebben van hun overvloed daarin geworpen; maar deze heeft van haar gebrek, al wat zij had, daarin geworpen, haar ganse leeftocht.
