1Ðức Giê-hô-va phán cùng Môi-se rằng: 2Hãy nói cùng cả dân Y-sơ-ra-ên rằng: Nầy là lời Ðức Giê-hô-va phán dặn: 3Nếu một người nam trong nhà Y-sơ-ra-ên giết một con bò, một con chiên con, hoặc một con dê trong trại quân hay là ngoài trại quân, 4chẳng đem đến cửa hội mạc đặng dâng cho Ðức Giê-hô-va, trước đền tạm của Ngài, thì huyết sẽ đổ tội về người; người đã làm đổ huyết ra, nên sẽ bị truất khỏi dân sự mình. 5Ấy hầu cho dân Y-sơ-ra-ên lấy của lễ mình giết ngoài đồng, dẫn đến thầy tế lễ, trước mặt Ðức Giê-hô-va, tại cửa hội mạc, đặng dâng lên làm của lễ thù ân cho Ðức Giê-hô-va. 6Thầy tế lễ sẽ rưới huyết con sinh trên bàn thờ của Ðức Giê-hô-va để tại cửa hội mạc, và xông mỡ có mùi thơm cho Ðức Giê-hô-va. 7Dân Y-sơ-ra-ên cũng chẳng nên dâng của lễ mình cho ma quỉ nữa, mà thông dâm cùng nó. Ðiều nầy sẽ làm một lệ định đời đời cho họ trải qua các thế đại. 8Vậy, ngươi hãy nói cùng dân Y-sơ-ra-ên rằng: Phàm người nào trong vòng dân Y-sơ-ra-ên hay là kẻ khách kiều ngụ giữa họ, dâng một của lễ thiêu hay là một của lễ chi, 9mà chẳng đem đến tại cửa hội mạc đặng dâng cho Ðức Giê-hô-va, thì người đó sẽ bị truất khỏi dân sự mình. 10Phàm người nào của nhà Y-sơ-ra-ên hay là kẻ khách kiều ngụ giữa họ, ăn huyết chi cũng mặc, thì ta sẽ nổi giận cùng kẻ ăn đó, truất nó khỏi dân sự mình; 11vì sanh mạng của xác thịt ở trong huyết; ta đã cho các ngươi huyết rưới trên bàn thờ đặng làm lễ chuộc tội cho linh hồn mình; vì nhờ sanh mạng mà huyết mới chuộc tội được. 12Bởi cớ đó ta đã phán cùng dân Y-sơ-ra-ên rằng: Trong vòng các ngươi không ai nên ăn huyết; kẻ khách kiều ngụ giữa các ngươi cũng không nên ăn huyết. 13Còn nếu ai, hoặc dân Y-sơ-ra-ên. hoặc kẻ khách kiều ngụ giữa họ, đi săn được một con thú hay là con chim ăn thịt được, thì phải đổ huyết nó ra, rồi lấy bụi đất lấp lại; 14vì sanh mạng của mọi xác thịt, ấy là huyết nó, trong huyết có sanh mạng. Bởi cớ ấy, ta đã phán cùng dân Y-sơ-ra-ên rằng: Các ngươi không nên ăn huyết của xác thịt nào; vì sanh mạng của mọi xác thịt, ấy là huyết nó; ai ăn sẽ bị truất diệt. 15Hễ người nào, hoặc sanh đẻ tại xứ, hoặc kẻ khách, ăn thịt của một con thú chết hay là bị xé, phải giặt quần áo mình, tắm trong nước, bị ô uế đến chiều tối, đoạn được tinh sạch lại. 16Còn nếu người không giặt quần áo và không tắm, thì sẽ mang tội mình.
1Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying, 2“Speak to Aaron, and to his sons, and to all the children of Israel, and say to them: ‘This is the thing which Yahweh has commanded, 3Whatever man there is of the house of Israel, who kills a bull, or lamb, or goat, in the camp, or who kills it outside the camp, 4and hasn’t brought it to the door of the Tent of Meeting, to offer it as an offering to Yahweh before Yahweh’s tabernacle: blood shall be imputed to that man. He has shed blood; and that man shall be cut off from among his people. 5This is to the end that the children of Israel may bring their sacrifices, which they sacrifice in the open field, that they may bring them to Yahweh, to the door of the Tent of Meeting, to the priest, and sacrifice them for sacrifices of peace offerings to Yahweh. 6The priest shall sprinkle the blood on the altar of Yahweh at the door of the Tent of Meeting, and burn the fat for a pleasant aroma to Yahweh. 7They shall no more sacrifice their sacrifices to the goat idols, after which they play the prostitute. This shall be a statute forever to them throughout their generations.’ 8“You shall say to them, ‘Any man there is of the house of Israel, or of the strangers who live as foreigners among them, who offers a burnt offering or sacrifice, 9and doesn’t bring it to the door of the Tent of Meeting, to sacrifice it to Yahweh; that man shall be cut off from his people. 10“‘Any man of the house of Israel, or of the strangers who live as foreigners among them, who eats any kind of blood, I will set my face against that soul who eats blood, and will cut him off from among his people. 11For the life of the flesh is in the blood; and I have given it to you on the altar to make atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that makes atonement by reason of the life. 12Therefore I have said to the children of Israel, “No person among you shall eat blood, neither shall any stranger who lives as a foreigner among you eat blood.” 13“‘Whatever man there is of the children of Israel, or of the strangers who live as foreigners among them, who takes in hunting any animal or bird that may be eaten; he shall pour out its blood, and cover it with dust. 14For as to the life of all flesh, its blood is with its life: therefore I said to the children of Israel, “You shall not eat the blood of any kind of flesh; for the life of all flesh is its blood. Whoever eats it shall be cut off.” 15“‘Every person that eats what dies of itself, or that which is torn by animals, whether he is native-born or a foreigner, he shall wash his clothes, and bathe himself in water, and be unclean until the evening: then he shall be clean. 16But if he doesn’t wash them, or bathe his flesh, then he shall bear his iniquity.’”
1Verder sprak de HEERE tot Mozes, zeggende: 2Spreek tot Aaron, en tot zijn zonen, en tot al de kinderen Israels, en zeg tot hen: Dit is het woord, hetwelk de HEERE geboden heeft, zeggende: 3Een ieder van het huis Israels, die een os, of lam, of geit in het leger slachten zal, of die ze slachten zal buiten het leger; 4En dezelve aan de deur van de tent der samenkomst niet brengen zal, om een offerande den HEERE voor den tabernakel des HEEREN te offeren; het bloed zal dienzelven man toegerekend worden, hij heeft bloed vergoten; daarom zal dezelve man uit het midden zijns volks uitgeroeid worden; 5Opdat, wanneer de kinderen Israels hun slachtofferen brengen, welke zij op het veld slachten, dat zij die den HEERE toebrengen, aan de deur van de tent der samenkomst tot den priester, en dezelve tot dankofferen den HEERE slachten. 6En de priester zal het bloed op het altaar des HEEREN, aan de deur van de tent der samenkomst, sprengen; en hij zal het vet aansteken, tot een liefelijken reuk den HEERE. 7En zij zullen ook niet meer hun slachtofferen den duivelen, welke zij nahoereren, offeren; dat zal hun een eeuwige inzetting zijn voor hun geslachten. 8Zeg dan tot hen: Een ieder van het huis Israels, en van de vreemdelingen, die in het midden van hen als vreemdelingen verkeren, die een brandoffer of slachtoffer zal offeren, 9En dat tot de deur van de tent der samenkomst niet zal brengen, om hetzelve den HEERE te bereiden; diezelve man zal uit zijn volken uitgeroeid worden. 10En een ieder uit het huis Israels, en uit de vreemdelingen, die in het midden van hen als vreemdelingen verkeren, die enig bloed zal gegeten hebben, tegen diens ziel, die dat bloed zal gegeten hebben, zal Ik Mijn aangezicht zetten, en zal die uit het midden haars volks uitroeien. 11Want de ziel van het vlees is in het bloed; daarom heb Ik het u op het altaar gegeven, om over uw zielen verzoening te doen; want het is het bloed, dat voor de ziel verzoening zal doen. 12Daarom heb Ik tot de kinderen Israels gezegd: Geen ziel van u zal bloed eten; noch de vreemdeling, die als vreemdeling in het midden van u verkeert, zal bloed eten. 13Een ieder ook van de kinderen Israels en van de vreemdelingen, die als vreemdelingen in het midden van hen verkeren, die enig wild gedierte, of gevogelte, dat gegeten wordt, in de jacht gevangen zal hebben; die zal deszelfs bloed vergieten, en zal dat met stof bedekken. 14Want het is de ziel van alle vlees; zijn bloed is voor zijn ziel; daarom heb Ik tot de kinderen Israels gezegd: Gij zult geens vleses bloed eten; want de ziel van alle vlees, dat is zijn bloed; zo wie dat eet, zal uitgeroeid worden. 15En alle ziel onder de inboorlingen of onder de vreemdelingen, die een dood aas of het verscheurde zal gegeten hebben, die zal zijn klederen wassen, en zich met water baden, en onrein zijn tot aan den avond; daarna zal hij rein zijn. 16Maar indien hij die niet wast, en zijn vlees niet baadt, zo zal hij zijn ongerechtigheid dragen.
