1Ða-vít và các quan tướng đội binh cũng để riêng ra mấy con cháu của A-sáp, Hê-man và Giê-đu-thun hầu phục dịch, lấy đờn cầm, đờn sắt, và chập chỏa đặng nói tiên tri; số người phục sự theo chức của họ là như sau nầy: 2Về con trai A-sáp, có Xác-cua, Giô-sép, Nê-tha-nia, và A-sa-rê-la, đều là con trai của A-sáp, ở dưới tay A-sáp cai quản, vâng theo ý chỉ của vua mà ca xướng. 3Về con trai của Giê-đu-thun có Ghê-đa-lia, và Si-mê -i, là sáu người đều ở dưới quyền cai quản của cha chúng, là Giê-đu-thun, dùng đờn cầm mà nói tiên tri, cảm tạ và ngợi khen Ðức Giê-hô-va. 4Về con trai của Hê-man có Búc-ki-gia, Ma-tha-nia, U-xi-ên, Sê-bu-ên, Giê-ri-mốt, Ha-na-nia, Ha-na-ni, Ê-li-a-tha, Ghi-đanh-thi, Rô-mam-ti-Ê-xe, Giốt-bê-ca-sa, Ma-lô-thi, Hô-thia, và Ma-ha-xi-ốt. 5Những người đó đều là con trai của Hê-man, thổi kèn và ngợi khen Ðức Chúa Trời. Hê-man vâng mạng của Ðức Chúa Trời mà làm đấng tiên kiến của vua. Ðức Chúa Trời ban cho Hê-man được mười bốn con trai và ba con gái. 6Các người ấy đều ở dưới quyền cai quản của cha mình là A-sáp, Giê-đu-thun, và Hê-man, để ca-xướng trong đền Ðức Giê-hô-va với chập chỏa, đờn sắt, đờn cầm, và phục sự tại đền của Ðức Chúa Trời, theo mạng lịnh của vua. 7Chúng luôn với anh em mình có học tập trong nghề ca hát cho Ðức Giê-hô-va, tức là những người thông thạo, số được hai trăm tám mươi tám người. 8Chúng đều bắt thăm về ban thứ mình, người lớn như kẻ nhỏ, người thông thạo như kẻ học tập. 9Cái thăm thứ nhứt nhằm cho Giô-sép về dòng A-sáp; cái thăm thứ nhì nhằm Ghê-đa-lia; người anh em và con trai người, cộng được mười hai người; 10cái thăm thứ ba nhằm Xác-cua, các con trai và anh em người, cộng được mười hai người; 11cái thăm thứ tư nhằm Dít-sê-ri, các con trai và anh em người, cộng được mười hai người; 12cái thăm thứ năm nhằm Nê-tha-nia, các con trai và anh em người, cộng được mười hai người; 13cái thăm thứ sáu nhằm Búc-ki-gia, các con trai và anh em người, cộng được mười hai người; 14cái thăm thứ bảy nhằm Giê-sa-rê-la, các con trai và anh em người, cộng được mười hai người; 15cái thăm thứ tám nhằm Ê-sai, các con trai và anh em người, cộng được mười hai người; 16cái thăm thứ chín nhằm Ma-tha-nia, các con trai và anh em người, cộng được mười hai người; 17cái thăm thứ mười nhằm Si-mê -i; các con trai và anh em người, cộng được mười hai người; 18cái thăm thứ mười một nhằm A-xa-rên, các con trai và anh em người, cộng được mười hai người; 19cái thăm thứ mười hai nhằm Ha-sa-bia, các con trai và anh em người, cộng được mười hai người; 20cái thăm thứ mười ba nhằm Su-ba-ên, các con trai và anh em người, cộng được mười hai người; 21cái thăm thứ mười bốn nhằm Ma-ti-thia, các con trai và anh em người, cộng được mười hai người; 22cái thăm thứ mười lăm nhằm Giê-rê-mốt, các con trai và anh em người, cộng được mười hai người; 23cái thăm thừ mười sáu nhằm Ha-na-nia, các con trai và anh em người, cộng được mười hai người; 24cái thăm thứ mười bảy nhằm Giốt-bê-ca-sa, các con trai và anh em người, cộng được mười hai người; 25cái thăm thứ mười tám nhằm Ha-na-ni, các con trai và anh em người, cộng được mười hai người; 26cái thăm thứ mười chín nhằm Ma-lô-thi, các con trai và anh em người, cộng được mười hai người; 27cái thăm thứ hai mươi nhằm Ê-li-gia-ta, các con trai và anh em người, cộng được mười hai người; 28cái thăm thứ hai mươi mốt nhằm Hô-thia, các con trai và anh em người, cộng được mười hai người; 29cái thăm thứ hai mươi hai nhằm Ghi-đanh-thi, các con trai và anh em người, cộng được mười hai người; 30cái thăm thứ hai mươi ba nhằm Ma-ha-xi-ốt, các con trai và anh em người, cộng được mười hai người; 31cái thăm thứ hai mươi bốn nhằm Rô-man-ti-Ê-xe, các con trai và anh em người, cộng được mười hai người.
1Moreover, David and the captains of the army set apart for the service certain of the sons of Asaph, and of Heman, and of Jeduthun, who should prophesy with harps, with stringed instruments, and with cymbals: and the number of those who did the work according to their service was: 2of the sons of Asaph: Zaccur, and Joseph, and Nethaniah, and Asharelah, the sons of Asaph, under the hand of Asaph, who prophesied after the order of the king. 3Of Jeduthun; the sons of Jeduthun: Gedaliah, and Zeri, and Jeshaiah, Hashabiah, and Mattithiah, six, under the hands of their father Jeduthun with the harp, who prophesied in giving thanks and praising Yahweh. 4Of Heman; the sons of Heman: Bukkiah, Mattaniah, Uzziel, Shebuel, and Jerimoth, Hananiah, Hanani, Eliathah, Giddalti, and Romamti-Ezer, Joshbekashah, Mallothi, Hothir, Mahazioth. 5All these were the sons of Heman the king’s seer in the words of God, to lift up the horn. God gave to Heman fourteen sons and three daughters. 6All these were under the hands of their father for song in Yahweh’s house, with cymbals, stringed instruments, and harps, for the service of God’s house; Asaph, Jeduthun, and Heman being under the order of the king. 7The number of them, with their brothers who were instructed in singing to Yahweh, even all who were skillful, was two hundred eighty-eight. 8They cast lots for their offices, all alike, as well the small as the great, the teacher as the scholar. 9Now the first lot came out for Asaph to Joseph: the second to Gedaliah; he and his brothers and sons were twelve: 10the third to Zaccur, his sons and his brothers, twelve: 11the fourth to Izri, his sons and his brothers, twelve: 12the fifth to Nethaniah, his sons and his brothers, twelve: 13the sixth to Bukkiah, his sons and his brothers, twelve: 14the seventh to Jesharelah, his sons and his brothers, twelve: 15the eighth to Jeshaiah, his sons and his brothers, twelve: 16the ninth to Mattaniah, his sons and his brothers, twelve: 17the tenth to Shimei, his sons and his brothers, twelve: 18the eleventh to Azarel, his sons and his brothers, twelve: 19the twelfth to Hashabiah, his sons and his brothers, twelve: 20for the thirteenth, Shubael, his sons and his brothers, twelve: 21for the fourteenth, Mattithiah, his sons and his brothers, twelve: 22for the fifteenth to Jeremoth, his sons and his brothers, twelve: 23for the sixteenth to Hananiah, his sons and his brothers, twelve: 24for the seventeenth to Joshbekashah, his sons and his brothers, twelve: 25for the eighteenth to Hanani, his sons and his brothers, twelve: 26for the nineteenth to Mallothi, his sons and his brothers, twelve: 27for the twentieth to Eliathah, his sons and his brothers, twelve: 28for the one and twentieth to Hothir, his sons and his brothers, twelve: 29for the two and twentieth to Giddalti, his sons and his brothers, twelve: 30for the twenty-third to Mahazioth, his sons and his brothers, twelve: 31for the four and twentieth to Romamti-Ezer, his sons and his brothers, twelve.
1En David, mitsgaders de oversten des heirs, scheidde af tot den dienst, van de kinderen van Asaf, en van Heman, en van Jeduthun, die met harpen, met luiten en met cimbalen profeteren zouden; en die onder hen geteld werden, waren mannen, bekwaam tot het werk van hun dienst. 2Van de kinderen van Asaf waren Zakkur, en Jozef, en Nethanja, en Asarela, kinderen van Asaf; aan de hand van Asaf, die aan des konings handen profeteerde. 3Aangaande Jeduthun: de kinderen van Jeduthun waren Gedalja, en Zeri, en Jesaja, Hasabja en Mattithja, zes; aan de handen van hun vader Jeduthun, op harpen profeterende met den HEERE te danken en te loven. 4Aangaande Heman: de kinderen van Heman waren Bukkia, Mattanja, Uzziel, Sebuel, en Jerimoth, Hananja, Hanani, Eliatha, Giddalti, en Romamthi-Ezer, Josbekasa, Mallothi, Hothir, Mahazioth. 5Deze allen waren kinderen van Heman, den ziener des konings, in de woorden Gods, om den hoorn te verheffen; want God had Heman veertien zonen gegeven, en drie dochters. 6Dezen waren altemaal aan de handen huns vaders gesteld tot het gezang van het huis des HEEREN, op cimbalen, luiten, en harpen, tot den dienst van het huis Gods, aan de handen van den koning, van Asaf, Jeduthun, en van Heman. 7En hun getal met hun broederen, die geleerd waren in het gezang des HEEREN, allen meesters, was tweehonderd acht en tachtig. 8En zij wierpen de loten over de wacht, tegen elkander, zo de kleinen, als de groten, den meester met den leerling. 9Het eerste lot nu ging uit voor Asaf, namelijk voor Jozef.
