1At pinalapit niya sa kaniya ang kaniyang labingdalawang alagad, at binigyan niya sila ng kapamahalaan laban sa mga karumaldumal na espiritu, upang mapalabas nila, at upang kanilang mapagaling ang lahat ng sarisaring sakit at ang lahat ng sarisaring karamdaman. 2Ang mga pangalan nga ng labingdalawang apostol ay ito: Ang una'y si Simon na tinatawag na Pedro, at si Andres na kaniyang kapatid; si Santiago na anak ni Zebedeo, at ang kaniyang kapatid na si Juan; 3Si Felipe, at si Bartolome; si Tomas, at si Mateo na maniningil ng buwis; si Santiago na anak ni Alfeo at si Tadeo; 4Si Simon na Cananeo, at si Judas Iscariote, na siya ring sa kaniya'y nagkanulo. 5Ang labingdalawang ito'y sinugo ni Jesus, at sila'y pinagbilinan, na sinasabi, Huwag kayong magsitungo sa alin mang daan ng mga Gentil, at huwag kayong magsipasok sa alin mang bayan ng mga taga Samaria: 6Kundi bagkus magsiparoon kayo sa mga tupang nangawaglit sa bahay ni Israel. 7At samantalang kayo'y nangaglalakad, ay magsipangaral kayo, na mangagsabi, Ang kaharian ng langit ay malapit na. 8Mangagpagaling kayo ng mga may sakit, mangagpabangon kayo ng mga patay, mangaglinis kayo ng mga ketong, mangagpalabas kayo ng mga demonio: tinanggap ninyong walang bayad, ay ibigay ninyong walang bayad. 9Huwag kayong mangagbaon ng ginto, kahit pilak, kahit tanso sa inyong mga supot: 10Kahit supot ng pagkain sa paglalakad, kahit dalawang tunika, kahit mga pangyapak, o tungkod: sapagka't ang manggagawa ay karapatdapat sa kaniyang pagkain. 11At sa alin mang bayan o nayon na inyong pasukin, siyasatin ninyo kung sino roon ang karapatdapat; at magsitahan kayo roon hanggang sa kayo'y magsialis. 12At pagpasok ninyo sa bahay, ay batiin ninyo ito. 13At kung karapatdapat ang bahay, ay dumoon ang inyong kapayapaan: datapuwa't kung hindi karapatdapat, ay mabalik sa inyo ang kapayapaan ninyo. 14At sinomang hindi tumanggap sa inyo, ni duminig sa inyong mga pananalita, pagalis ninyo sa bahay o bayang yaon, ay ipagpag ninyo ang alabok ng inyong mga paa. 15Katotohanang sinasabi ko sa inyo, Higit na mapagpapaumanhinan ang lupa ng Sodoma at ng Gomorra sa araw ng paghuhukom, kay sa bayang yaon. 16Narito, sinusugo ko kayong gaya ng mga tupa sa gitna ng mga lobo: mangagpakatalino nga kayong gaya ng mga ahas at mangagpakatimtimang gaya ng mga kalapati. 17Datapuwa't mangagpakaingat kayo sa mga tao: sapagka't kayo'y ibibigay nila sa mga Sanedrin at kayo'y hahampasin sa kanilang mga sinagoga; 18Oo at kayo'y dadalhin sa harap ng mga gobernador at mga hari dahil sa akin, sa pagpapatotoo sa kanila at sa mga Gentil. 19Datapuwa't pagka kayo'y ibinigay nila, huwag ninyong ikabalisa kung paano o kung ano ang inyong sasabihin: sapagka't sa oras na yaon ay ipagkakaloob sa inyo ang inyong sasabihin. 20Sapagka't hindi kayo ang mangagsasalita, kundi ang Espiritu ng inyong Ama ang sa inyo'y magsasalita. 21At ibibigay ng kapatid ang kapatid sa kamatayan, at ng ama ang kaniyang anak: at mangaghihimagsik ang mga anak laban sa kanilang mga magulang, at sila'y ipapapatay. 22At kayo'y kapopootan ng lahat ng mga tao dahil sa aking pangalan: datapuwa't ang magtitiis hanggang sa wakas, ay siyang maliligtas. 23Datapuwa't pagka kayo'y pinagusig nila sa isang bayang ito, ay magsitakas kayo tungo sa kasunod na bayan: sapagka't sa katotohanang sinasabi ko sa inyo, Hindi ninyo matatapos libutin ang mga bayan ng Israel, hanggang sa pumarito ang Anak ng tao. 24Hindi mataas ang alagad sa kaniyang guro, ni hindi rin mataas ang alila sa kaniyang panginoon. 25Sukat na sa alagad ang maging katulad ng kaniyang guro, at sa alila ang maging katulad ng kaniyang panginoon. Kung pinanganlan nilang Beelzebub ang panginoon ng sangbahayan, gaano pa kaya ang mga kasangbahay niya! 26Huwag nga ninyo silang katakutan: sapagka't walang bagay na natatakpan, na hindi mahahayag; at natatago na hindi malalaman. 27Ang sinasabi ko sa inyo sa kadiliman, ay sabihin ninyo sa kaliwanagan; at ang narinig ninyo sa bulong, ay inyong ipagsigawan sa mga bubungan. 28At huwag kayong mangatakot sa mga nagsisipatay ng katawan, datapuwa't hindi nangakakapatay sa kaluluwa: kundi bagkus ang katakutan ninyo'y yaong makapupuksa sa kaluluwa at sa katawan sa impierno. 29Hindi baga ipinagbibili ng isang beles ang dalawang maya? at kahit isa sa kanila'y hindi mahuhulog sa lupa kung hindi pahintulot ng inyong Ama: 30Datapuwa't maging ang mga buhok ng inyong ulo ay pawang bilang na lahat. 31Huwag nga kayong mangatakot: kayo'y lalong mahalaga kay sa maraming maya. 32Kaya't ang bawa't kumikilala sa akin sa harap ng mga tao, ay kikilalanin ko naman siya sa harap ng aking Ama na nasa langit. 33Datapuwa't sinomang sa aki'y magkaila sa harap ng mga tao, ay ikakaila ko naman siya sa harap ng aking Ama na nasa langit. 34Huwag ninyong isiping ako'y naparito upang magdala ng kapayapaan sa lupa: hindi ako naparito upang magdala ng kapayapaan, kundi tabak. 35Sapagka't ako'y naparito upang papagalitin ang lalake laban sa kaniyang ama, at ang anak na babae laban sa kaniyang ina, at ang manugang na babae laban sa kaniyang biyanang babae: 36At ang magiging kaaway ng tao ay ang kaniya ring sariling kasangbahay. 37Ang umiibig sa ama o sa ina ng higit kay sa akin ay hindi karapatdapat sa akin; at ang umiibig sa anak na lalake o anak na babae ng higit kay sa akin ay hindi karapatdapat sa akin. 38At ang hindi nagpapasan ng kaniyang krus at sumusunod sa akin, ay hindi karapatdapat sa akin. 39Ang nakasusumpong ng kaniyang buhay ay mawawalan nito; at ang mawalan ng buhay dahil sa akin ay makasusumpong niyaon. 40Ang tumatanggap sa inyo ay ako ang tinatanggap, at ang tumatanggap sa akin ay tinatanggap ang nagsugo sa akin. 41Ang tumatanggap sa isang propeta dahil sa pangalan ng propeta ay tatanggap ng ganti ng isang propeta: at ang tumatanggap sa isang taong matuwid dahil sa pangalan ng isang taong matuwid ay tatanggap ng ganti ng isang taong matuwid. 42At sinomang magpainom sa isa sa maliliit na ito ng kahit isang sarong tubig na malamig, dahil sa pangalang alagad, katotohanang sinasabi ko sa inyo na hindi mawawala ang ganti sa kaniya.
1He called to himself his twelve disciples, and gave them authority over unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal every disease and every sickness. 2Now the names of the twelve apostles are these. The first, Simon, who is called Peter; Andrew, his brother; James the son of Zebedee; John, his brother; 3Philip; Bartholomew; Thomas; Matthew the tax collector; James the son of Alphaeus; Lebbaeus, who was also called Thaddaeus; 4Simon the Canaanite; and Judas Iscariot, who also betrayed him. 5Jesus sent these twelve out, and commanded them, saying, “Don’t go among the Gentiles, and don’t enter into any city of the Samaritans. 6Rather, go to the lost sheep of the house of Israel. 7As you go, preach, saying, ‘The Kingdom of Heaven is at hand!’ 8Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, and cast out demons. Freely you received, so freely give. 9Don’t take any gold, nor silver, nor brass in your money belts. 10Take no bag for your journey, neither two coats, nor shoes, nor staff: for the laborer is worthy of his food. 11Into whatever city or village you enter, find out who in it is worthy; and stay there until you go on. 12As you enter into the household, greet it. 13If the household is worthy, let your peace come on it, but if it isn’t worthy, let your peace return to you. 14Whoever doesn’t receive you, nor hear your words, as you go out of that house or that city, shake off the dust from your feet. 15Most certainly I tell you, it will be more tolerable for the land of Sodom and Gomorrah in the day of judgment than for that city. 16“Behold, I send you out as sheep in the midst of wolves. Therefore be wise as serpents, and harmless as doves. 17But beware of men: for they will deliver you up to councils, and in their synagogues they will scourge you. 18Yes, and you will be brought before governors and kings for my sake, for a testimony to them and to the nations. 19But when they deliver you up, don’t be anxious how or what you will say, for it will be given you in that hour what you will say. 20For it is not you who speak, but the Spirit of your Father who speaks in you. 21“Brother will deliver up brother to death, and the father his child. Children will rise up against parents, and cause them to be put to death. 22You will be hated by all men for my name’s sake, but he who endures to the end will be saved. 23But when they persecute you in this city, flee into the next, for most certainly I tell you, you will not have gone through the cities of Israel, until the Son of Man has come. 24“A disciple is not above his teacher, nor a servant above his lord. 25It is enough for the disciple that he be like his teacher, and the servant like his lord. If they have called the master of the house Beelzebul, how much more those of his household! 26Therefore don’t be afraid of them, for there is nothing covered that will not be revealed; and hidden that will not be known. 27What I tell you in the darkness, speak in the light; and what you hear whispered in the ear, proclaim on the housetops. 28Don’t be afraid of those who kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul. Rather, fear him who is able to destroy both soul and body in Gehenna. 29“Aren’t two sparrows sold for an assarion coin? Not one of them falls on the ground apart from your Father’s will, 30but the very hairs of your head are all numbered. 31Therefore don’t be afraid. You are of more value than many sparrows. 32Everyone therefore who confesses me before men, him I will also confess before my Father who is in heaven. 33But whoever denies me before men, him I will also deny before my Father who is in heaven. 34“Don’t think that I came to send peace on the earth. I didn’t come to send peace, but a sword. 35For I came to set a man at odds against his father, and a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law. 36A man’s foes will be those of his own household. 37He who loves father or mother more than me is not worthy of me; and he who loves son or daughter more than me isn’t worthy of me. 38He who doesn’t take his cross and follow after me, isn’t worthy of me. 39He who seeks his life will lose it; and he who loses his life for my sake will find it. 40He who receives you receives me, and he who receives me receives him who sent me. 41He who receives a prophet in the name of a prophet will receive a prophet’s reward. He who receives a righteous man in the name of a righteous man will receive a righteous man’s reward. 42Whoever gives one of these little ones just a cup of cold water to drink in the name of a disciple, most certainly I tell you he will in no way lose his reward.”

Gij hebt het om niet ontvangen, geeft het om niet. 9Verkrijgt u noch goud, noch zilver, noch koper geld in uw gordels; 10Noch male tot den weg, noch twee rokken, noch schoenen, noch staf; want de arbeider is zijn voedsel waardig. 11En in wat stad of vlek gij zult inkomen, onderzoekt, wie daarin waardig is; en blijft aldaar, totdat gij daar uitgaat. 12En als gij in het huis gaat, zo groet hetzelve. 13En indien dat huis waardig is, zo kome uw vrede over hetzelve, maar indien het niet waardig is, zo kere uw vrede weder tot u. 14En zo iemand u niet zal ontvangen, noch uw woorden horen, uitgaande uit dat huis of uit dezelve stad, schudt het stof uwer voeten af. 15Voorwaar zeg Ik u: Het zal den lande van Sodom en Gomorra verdragelijker zijn in den dag des oordeels, dan dezelve stad. 16Ziet, Ik zend u als schapen in het midden der wolven; zijt dan voorzichtig gelijk de slangen, en oprecht gelijk de duiven. 17Maar wacht u voor de mensen; want zij zullen u overleveren in de raadsvergaderingen, en in hun synagogen zullen zij u geselen. 18En gij zult ook voor stadhouders en koningen geleid worden, om Mijnentwil, hun en den heidenen tot getuigenis. 19Doch wanneer zij u overleveren, zo zult gij niet bezorgd zijn, hoe of wat gij spreken zult; want het zal u in dezelve ure gegeven worden, wat gij spreken zult. 20Want gij zijt het niet, die spreekt, maar het is de Geest uws Vaders, Die in u spreekt. 21En de ene broeder zal den anderen broeder overleveren tot den dood, en de vader het kind, en de kinderen zullen opstaan tegen de ouders, en zullen hen doden. 22En gij zult van allen gehaat worden om Mijn Naam; maar die volstandig zal blijven tot het einde, die zal zalig worden. 23Wanneer zij u dan in deze stad vervolgen, vliedt in de andere; want voorwaar zeg ik u: Gij zult uw reis door de steden Israels niet geeindigd hebben, of de Zoon des mensen zal gekomen zijn. 24De discipel is niet boven den meester, noch de dienstknecht boven zijn heer. 25Het zij den discipel genoeg, dat hij worde gelijk zijn meester, en de dienstknecht gelijk zijn heer. Indien zij den Heere des huizes Beelzebul hebben geheten, hoeveel te meer Zijn huisgenoten! 26Vreest dan hen niet; want er is niets bedekt, hetwelk niet zal ontdekt worden, en verborgen, hetwelk niet zal geweten worden. 27Hetgeen Ik u zeg in de duisternis, zegt het in het licht; en hetgeen gij hoort in het oor, predikt dat op de daken. 28En vreest niet voor degenen, die het lichaam doden, en de ziel niet kunnen doden; maar vreest veel meer Hem, Die beide ziel en lichaam kan verderven in de hel. 29Worden niet twee musjes om een penningsken verkocht? En niet een van deze zal op de aarde vallen zonder uw Vader. 30En ook uw haren des hoofds zijn alle geteld. 31Vreest dan niet; gij gaat vele musjes te boven. 32Een iegelijk dan, die Mij belijden zal voor de mensen, dien zal Ik ook belijden voor Mijn Vader, Die in de hemelen is. 33Maar zo wie Mij verloochend zal hebben voor de mensen, dien zal Ik ook verloochenen voor Mijn Vader, Die in de hemelen is. 34Meent niet, dat Ik gekomen ben, om vrede te brengen op de aarde; Ik ben niet gekomen om vrede te brengen, maar het zwaard. 35Want Ik ben gekomen, om den mens tweedrachtig te maken tegen zijn vader, en de dochter tegen haar moeder, en de schoondochter tegen haar schoonmoeder. 36En zij zullen des mensen vijanden worden, die zijn huisgenoten zijn. 37Die vader of moeder liefheeft boven Mij, is Mijns niet waardig; en die zoon of dochter liefheeft boven Mij, is Mijns niet waardig. 38En die zijn kruis niet op zich neemt, en Mij navolgt, is Mijns niet waardig. 39Die zijn ziel vindt, zal dezelve verliezen; en die zijn ziel zal verloren hebben om Mijnentwil, zal dezelve vinden. 40Die u ontvangt, ontvangt Mij; en die Mij ontvangt, ontvangt Hem, Die Mij gezonden heeft. 41Die een profeet ontvangt in den naam eens profeten, zal het loon eens profeten ontvangen; en die een rechtvaardige ontvangt in den naam eens rechtvaardigen, zal het loon eens rechtvaardigen ontvangen. 42En zo wie een van deze kleinen te drinken geeft alleenlijk een beker koud water, in den naam eens discipels, voorwaar zeg Ik u, hij zal zijn loon geenszins verliezen.
