2 Mga Corinto 4

1Kaya nga sa pagkakaroon namin ng ministeriong ito, ayon sa aming tinanggap na kaawaan, ay hindi kami nanghihina. 2Bagkus tinanggihan namin ang mga kahiyahiyang bagay na nangatatago, na hindi kami nagsisilakad sa katusuhan, ni nagsisigamit man na may daya ng mga salita ng Dios; kundi sa pagpapahayag ng katotohanan ay ipinagtatagubilin ang aming sarili sa bawa't budhi ng mga tao sa harapan ng Dios. 3At kung ang aming evangelio ay natatalukbungan pa, ay may talukbong sa mga napapahamak: 4Na binulag ng dios ng sanglibutang ito ang mga pagiisip ng mga hindi nagsisisampalataya, upang sa kanila'y huwag sumilang ang kaliwanagan ng evangelio ng kaluwalhatian ni Cristo, na siyang larawan ng Dios. 5Sapagka't hindi namin ipinangangaral ang aming sarili, kundi si Cristo Jesus na Panginoon, at kami ay gaya ng inyong mga alipin dahil kay Cristo. 6Yamang ang Dios, ang nagsabi, Magniningning ang ilaw sa kadiliman, na siyang nagningning sa aming mga puso, upang magbigay ng liwanag ng pagkakilala sa kaluwalhatian ng Dios sa mukha ni Jesucristo. 7Nguni't taglay namin ang kayamanang ito sa mga sisidlang-lupa, upang ang dakilang kalakhan ng kapangyarihan ay maging mula sa Dios, at huwag mula sa aming sarili; 8Sa magkabikabila ay nangagigipit kami, gayon ma'y hindi nangaghihinagpis; nangatitilihan, gayon ma'y hindi nangawawalan ng pagasa; 9Pinaguusig, gayon ma'y hindi pinababayaan; inilulugmok, gayon ma'y hindi nangasisira; 10Laging saan ma'y tinataglay sa katawan ang kamatayan ni Jesus, upang ang buhay ni Jesus ay mahayag naman sa aming katawan. 11Sapagka't kaming nangabubuhay ay laging ibinibigay sa kamatayan dahil kay Jesus, upang ang buhay naman ni Jesus ay mahayag sa aming lamang may kamatayan. 12Kaya nga ang kamatayan ay gumagawa sa amin, datapuwa't ang buhay ay sa inyo. 13Nguni't yamang mayroong gayon ding espiritu ng pananampalataya, na gaya ng nasusulat, Sumampalataya ako, at kaya't nagsalita ako; kami naman ay nagsisisampalataya, at kaya't kami naman ay nangagsasalita; 14Na aming nalalaman na ang bumuhay na maguli sa Panginoong Jesus ay siya ring bubuhay na maguli sa amin na kalakip ni Jesus, at ihaharap kaming kasama ninyo. 15Sapagka't ang lahat ng mga bagay ay dahil sa inyo, upang ang biyaya na pinarami sa pamamagitan ng marami, ay siyang magpasagana ng pagpapasalamat sa ikaluluwalhati ng Dios. 16Kaya nga hindi kami nanghihimagod; bagama't ang aming pagkataong labas ay pahina, nguni't ang aming pagkataong loob ay nababago sa araw-araw. 17Sapagka't ang aming magaang kapighatian, na sa isang sangdali lamang, ay siyang gumagawa sa amin ng lalo't lalong bigat ng kaluwalhatiang walang hanggan; 18Samantalang kami ay nagsisitingin hindi sa mga bagay na nangakikita, kundi sa mga bagay na hindi nangakikita: sapagka't ang mga bagay na nangakikita ay may katapusan; datapuwa't ang mga bagay na hindi nangakikita ay walang hanggan.

1Therefore seeing we have this ministry, even as we obtained mercy, we don’t faint. 2But we have renounced the hidden things of shame, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by the manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man’s conscience in the sight of God. 3Even if our Good News is veiled, it is veiled in those who perish; 4in whom the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving, that the light of the Good News of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should not dawn on them. 5For we don’t preach ourselves, but Christ Jesus as Lord, and ourselves as your servants for Jesus’ sake; 6seeing it is God who said, “Light will shine out of darkness,” who has shone in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. 7But we have this treasure in clay vessels, that the exceeding greatness of the power may be of God, and not from ourselves. 8We are pressed on every side, yet not crushed; perplexed, yet not to despair; 9pursued, yet not forsaken; struck down, yet not destroyed; 10always carrying in the body the putting to death of the Lord Jesus, that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our body. 11For we who live are always delivered to death for Jesus’ sake, that the life also of Jesus may be revealed in our mortal flesh. 12So then death works in us, but life in you. 13But having the same spirit of faith, according to that which is written, “I believed, and therefore I spoke.” We also believe, and therefore also we speak; 14knowing that he who raised the Lord Jesus will raise us also with Jesus, and will present us with you. 15For all things are for your sakes, that the grace, being multiplied through the many, may cause the thanksgiving to abound to the glory of God. 16Therefore we don’t faint, but though our outward man is decaying, yet our inward man is renewed day by day. 17For our light affliction, which is for the moment, works for us more and more exceedingly an eternal weight of glory; 18while we don’t look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporal, but the things which are not seen are eternal.

1Daarom dewijl wij deze bediening hebben, naar de barmhartigheid, die ons geschied is, zo vertragen wij niet; 2Maar wij hebben verworpen de bedekselen der schande, niet wandelende in arglistigheid, noch het Woord Gods vervalsende, maar door openbaring der waarheid onszelven aangenaam makende bij alle gewetens der mensen, in de tegenwoordigheid Gods. 3Doch indien ook ons Evangelie bedekt is, zo is het bedekt in degenen, die verloren gaan; 4In dewelke de god dezer eeuw de zinnen verblind heeft, namelijk der ongelovigen, opdat hen niet bestrale de verlichting van het Evangelie der heerlijkheid van Christus, Die het Beeld Gods is. 5Want wij prediken niet onszelven, maar Christus Jezus, den Heere; en onszelven, dat wij uw dienaars zijn om Jezus' wil. 6Want God, Die gezegd heeft, dat het licht uit de duisternis zou schijnen, is Degene, Die in onze harten geschenen heeft, om te geven verlichting der kennis der heerlijkheid Gods in het aangezicht van Jezus Christus. 7Maar wij hebben dezen schat in aarden vaten, opdat de uitnemendheid der kracht zij van God, en niet uit ons; 8Als die in alles verdrukt worden, doch niet benauwd; twijfelmoedig, doch niet mismoedig; 9Vervolgd, doch niet daarin verlaten; nedergeworpen, doch niet verdorven; 10Altijd de doding van den Heere Jezus in het lichaam omdragende, opdat ook het leven van Jezus in ons lichaam zou geopenbaard worden. 11Want wij, die leven, worden altijd in den dood overgegeven om Jezus' wil; opdat ook het leven van Jezus in ons sterfelijk vlees zou geopenbaard worden. 12Zo dan, de dood werkt wel in ons, maar het leven in ulieden. 13Dewijl wij nu denzelfden Geest des geloofs hebben, gelijk er geschreven is: Ik heb geloofd, daarom heb ik gesproken; zo geloven wij ook, daarom spreken wij ook; 14Wetende, dat Hij, Die den Heere Jezus opgewekt heeft, ook ons door Jezus zal opwekken, en met ulieden daar zal stellen. 15Want al deze dingen zijn om uwentwil, opdat de vermenigvuldigde genade, door de dankzegging van velen, overvloedig worde ter heerlijkheid Gods. 16Daarom vertragen wij niet; maar hoewel onze uitwendige mens verdorven wordt, zo wordt nochtans de inwendige vernieuwd van dag tot dag. 17Want onze lichte verdrukking, die zeer haast voorbij gaat, werkt ons een gans zeer uitnemend eeuwig gewicht der heerlijkheid; 18Dewijl wij niet aanmerken de dingen, die men ziet, maar de dingen, die men niet ziet; want de dingen, die men ziet, zijn tijdelijk, maar de dingen, die men niet ziet, zijn eeuwig.
