1PEDRO y Juan subían juntos al templo á la hora de oración, la de nona. 2Y un hombre que era cojo desde el vientre de su madre, era traído; al cual ponían cada día á la puerta del templo que se llama la Hermosa, para que pidiese limosna de los que entraban en el templo. 3Este, como vió á Pedro y á Juan que iban á entrar en el templo, rogaba que le diesen limosna. 4Y Pedro, con Juan, fijando los ojos en él, dijo: Mira á nosotros. 5Entonces él estuvo atento á ellos, esperando recibir de ellos algo. 6Y Pedro dijo: Ni tengo plata ni oro; mas lo que tengo te doy: en el nombre de Jesucristo de Nazaret, levántate y anda. 7Y tomándole por la mano derecha le levantó: y luego fueron afirmados sus pies y tobillos; 8Y saltando, se puso en pie, y anduvo; y entró con ellos en el templo, andando, y saltando, y alabando á Dios. 9Y todo el pueblo le vió andar y alabar á Dios. 10Y conocían que él era el que se sentaba á la limosna á la puerta del templo, la Hermosa: y fueron llenos de asombro y de espanto por lo que le había acontecido. 11Y teniendo á Pedro y á Juan el cojo que había sido sanado, todo el pueblo concurrió á ellos al pórtico que se llama de Salomón, atónitos. 12Y viendo esto Pedro, respondió al pueblo: Varones Israelitas, ¿por qué os maravilláis de esto? ó ¿por qué ponéis los ojos en nosotros, como si con nuestra virtud ó piedad hubiésemos hecho andar á éste? 13El Dios de Abraham, y de Isaac, y de Jacob, el Dios de nuestros padres ha glorificado á su Hijo Jesús, al cual vosotros entregasteis, y negasteis delante de Pilato, juzgando él que había de ser suelto. 14Mas vosotros al Santo y al Justo negasteis, y pedisteis que se os diese un homicida; 15Y matasteis al Autor de la vida, al cual Dios ha resucitado de los muertos; de lo que nosotros somos testigos. 16Y en la fe de su nombre, á éste que vosotros veis y conocéis, ha confirmado su nombre: y la fe que por él es, ha dado á éste esta completa sanidad en presencia de todos vosotros. 17Mas ahora, hermanos, sé que por ignorancia lo habéis hecho, como también vuestros príncipes. 18Empero Dios ha cumplido así lo que había antes anunciado por boca de todos sus profetas, que su Cristo había de padecer. 19Así que, arrepentíos y convertíos, para que sean borrados vuestros pecados; pues que vendrán los tiempos del refrigerio de la presencia del Señor, 20Y enviará á Jesucristo, que os fué antes anunciado: 21Al cual de cierto es menester que el cielo tenga hasta los tiempos de la restauración de todas las cosas, que habló Dios por boca de sus santos profetas que han sido desde el siglo. 22Porque Moisés dijo á los padres: El Señor vuestro Dios os levantará profeta de vuestros hermanos, como yo; á él oiréis en todas las cosas que os hablare. 23Y será, que cualquiera alma que no oyere á aquel profeta, será desarraigada del pueblo. 24Y todos los profetas desde Samuel y en adelante, todos los que han hablado, han anunciado estos días. 25Vosotros sois los hijos de los profetas, y del pacto que Dios concertó con nuestros padres, diciendo á Abraham: Y en tu simiente serán benditas todas las familias de la tierra. 26A vosotros primeramente, Dios, habiendo levantado á su Hijo, le envió para que os bendijese, á fin de que cada uno se convierta de su maldad.
1Peter and John were going up into the temple at the hour of prayer, the ninth hour. 2A certain man who was lame from his mother’s womb was being carried, whom they laid daily at the door of the temple which is called Beautiful, to ask gifts for the needy of those who entered into the temple. 3Seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple, he asked to receive gifts for the needy. 4Peter, fastening his eyes on him, with John, said, “Look at us.” 5He listened to them, expecting to receive something from them. 6But Peter said, “Silver and gold have I none, but what I have, that I give you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, get up and walk!” 7He took him by the right hand, and raised him up. Immediately his feet and his ankle bones received strength. 8Leaping up, he stood, and began to walk. He entered with them into the temple, walking, leaping, and praising God. 9All the people saw him walking and praising God. 10They recognized him, that it was he who used to sit begging for gifts for the needy at the Beautiful Gate of the temple. They were filled with wonder and amazement at what had happened to him. 11As the lame man who was healed held on to Peter and John, all the people ran together to them in the porch that is called Solomon’s, greatly wondering. 12When Peter saw it, he responded to the people, “You men of Israel, why do you marvel at this man? Why do you fasten your eyes on us, as though by our own power or godliness we had made him walk? 13The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, the God of our fathers, has glorified his Servant Jesus, whom you delivered up, and denied in the presence of Pilate, when he had determined to release him. 14But you denied the Holy and Righteous One, and asked for a murderer to be granted to you, 15and killed the Prince of life, whom God raised from the dead, to which we are witnesses. 16By faith in his name, his name has made this man strong, whom you see and know. Yes, the faith which is through him has given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all. 17“Now, brothers, I know that you did this in ignorance, as did also your rulers. 18But the things which God announced by the mouth of all his prophets, that Christ should suffer, he thus fulfilled. 19“Repent therefore, and turn again, that your sins may be blotted out, so that there may come times of refreshing from the presence of the Lord, 20and that he may send Christ Jesus, who was ordained for you before, 21whom heaven must receive until the times of restoration of all things, which God spoke long ago by the mouth of his holy prophets. 22For Moses indeed said to the fathers, ‘The Lord God will raise up a prophet for you from among your brothers, like me. You shall listen to him in all things whatever he says to you. 23It will be, that every soul that will not listen to that prophet will be utterly destroyed from among the people.’ 24Yes, and all the prophets from Samuel and those who followed after, as many as have spoken, they also told of these days. 25You are the children of the prophets, and of the covenant which God made with our fathers, saying to Abraham, ‘In your seed will all the families of the earth be blessed.’ 26God, having raised up his servant, Jesus, sent him to you first, to bless you, in turning away everyone of you from your wickedness.”
1Petrus nu en Johannes gingen te zamen op naar den tempel, omtrent de ure des gebeds, zijnde de negende ure; 2En een zeker man, die kreupel was van zijner moeders lijf, werd gedragen, welken zij dagelijks zetten aan de deur des tempels, genaamd de Schone, om een aalmoes te begeren van degenen, die in den tempel gingen; 3Welke, Petrus en Johannes ziende, als zij in den tempel zouden ingaan, bad, dat hij een aalmoes mocht ontvangen. 4En Petrus, sterk op hem ziende, met Johannes, zeide: Zie op ons. 5En hij hield de ogen op hen, verwachtende, dat hij iets van hen zou ontvangen. 6En Petrus zeide: Zilver en goud heb ik niet, maar hetgeen ik heb, dat geve ik u; in den Naam van Jezus Christus, den Nazarener, sta op en wandel! 7En hem grijpende bij de rechterhand richtte hij hem op, en terstond werden zijn voeten en enkelen vast. 8En hij, opspringende, stond en wandelde, en ging met hen in den tempel, wandelende en springende, en lovende God. 9En al het volk zag hem wandelen en God loven. 10En zij kenden hem, dat hij die was, die om een aalmoes gezeten had aan de Schone poort des tempels; en zij werden vervuld met verbaasdheid en ontzetting over hetgeen hem geschied was. 11En als de kreupele, die gezond gemaakt was, aan Petrus en Johannes vasthield, liep al het volk gezamenlijk tot hen in het voorhof, hetwelk Salomo's voorhof genaamd wordt, verbaasd zijnde. 12En Petrus, dat ziende, antwoordde tot het volk: Gij Israelietische mannen, wat verwondert gij u over dit, of wat ziet gij zo sterk op ons, alsof wij door onze eigen kracht of godzaligheid dezen hadden doen wandelen? 13De God Abrahams, en Izaks, en Jakobs, de God onzer vaderen, heeft Zijn Kind Jezus verheerlijkt, Welken gij overgeleverd hebt, en hebt Hem verloochend, voor het aangezicht van Pilatus, als hij oordeelde, dat men Hem zoude loslaten. 14Maar gij hebt den Heilige en Rechtvaardige verloochend, en hebt begeerd, dat u een man, die een doodslager was, zou geschonken worden; 15En den Vorst des levens hebt gij gedood, Welken God opgewekt heeft uit de doden; waarvan wij getuigen zijn. 16En door het geloof in Zijn Naam heeft Zijn Naam dezen gesterkt, dien gij ziet en kent; en het geloof, dat door Hem is, heeft hem deze volmaakte gezondheid gegeven, in uw aller tegenwoordigheid. 17En nu, broeders, ik weet, dat gij het door onwetendheid gedaan hebt, gelijk als ook uw oversten. 18Maar God heeft alzo vervuld, hetgeen Hij door den mond van al Zijn profeten te voren verkondigd had, dat de Christus lijden zou. 19Betert u dan, en bekeert u, opdat uw zonden mogen uitgewist worden; wanneer de tijden der verkoeling zullen gekomen zijn van het aangezicht des Heeren, 20En Hij gezonden zal hebben Jezus Christus, Die u tevoren gepredikt is; 21Welken de hemel moet ontvangen tot de tijden der wederoprichting aller dingen, die God gesproken heeft door den mond van al Zijn heilige profeten van alle eeuw. 22Want Mozes heeft tot de vaderen gezegd: De Heere, uw God, zal u een Profeet verwekken, uit uw broederen, gelijk mij; Dien zult gij horen, in alles, wat Hij tot u spreken zal. 23En het zal geschieden, dat alle ziel, die dezen Profeet niet zal gehoord hebben, uitgeroeid zal worden uit den volke. 24En ook al de profeten, van Samuel aan, en die daarna gevolgd zijn, zovelen als er hebben gesproken, die hebben ook deze dagen te voren verkondigd. 25Gijlieden zijt kinderen der profeten, en des verbonds, hetwelk God met onze vaderen opgericht heeft, zeggende tot Abraham: En in uw zade zullen alle geslachten der aarde gezegend worden. 26God, opgewekt hebbende Zijn Kind Jezus, heeft Denzelven eerst tot u gezonden, dat Hij ulieden zegenen zou, daarin dat Hij een iegelijk van u afkere van uw boosheden.
