Ozea 4

1Aŭskultu la vorton de la Eternulo, ho Izraelidoj; ĉar la Eternulo havas juĝan disputon kun la loĝantoj de la tero; ĉar sur la tero ne ekzistas vero, nek amo, nek konado de Dio. 2Malbenado kaj trompado, mortigado, ŝtelado, kaj adultado tre disvastiĝis, kaj sangoverŝo sekvas sangoverŝon. 3Pro tio ekploros la tero, kaj malfeliĉo trafos ĉiujn ĝiajn loĝantojn kaj la bestojn de la kampo kaj la birdojn de la ĉielo; eĉ la fiŝoj de la maro malaperos. 4Sed neniu malpacu, neniu riproĉu; via popolo estas kiel insultantoj de pastro. 5Vi falos meze de la tago, kaj ankaŭ la profeto falos kun vi en la nokto; kaj Mi pereigos vian patrinon. 6Mia popolo pereos pro tio, ke ĝi ne havas scion. Ĉar vi forpuŝis la scion, tial Mi vin forpuŝos, ke vi ne plu estu Mia pastro. Ĉar vi forgesis la instruon de via Dio, tial ankaŭ Mi forgesos viajn infanojn. 7Ju pli ili multiĝas, des pli ili pekas kontraŭ Mi; ilian honoron Mi faros senhonoreco. 8Per la pekoj de Mia popolo ili sin nutras, kaj al ĝia malpieco strebas ilia animo. 9Kaj fariĝos al la popolo tiel same, kiel al la pastroj: Mi punos ĝin pro ĝia konduto, kaj Mi repagos al ĝi pro ĝiaj agoj. 10Ili manĝos kaj ne satiĝos, ili malĉastos kaj ne disvastiĝos; ĉar ili forlasis la Eternulon kaj ne atentas Lin. 11Malĉastado, vino, kaj mosto forprenas la prudenton. 12Mia popolo demandas sian lignon, kaj ĝia bastono donas al ĝi respondon; ĉar la spirito de malĉasteco erarigas ilin, kaj ili malĉastas kontraŭ sia Dio. 13Sur la supro de montoj ili alportas oferojn, kaj sur montetoj ili incensas sub kverko, poplo, kaj terebintarbo, ĉar bona estas ilia ombro. Tial malĉastos viaj filinoj, kaj viaj bofilinoj adultos. 14Ĉu Mi povas ne puni viajn filinojn, se ili malĉastas, kaj viajn bofilinojn, se ili adultas, se ili apartiĝas kune kun la malĉastistinoj kaj alportas oferojn kune kun la publikaj virinoj, kaj la malklera popolo pereas? 15Se malĉastas vi, ho Izrael, tiam almenaŭ Jehuda ne kulpiĝu; ne iru en Gilgalon, ne iru en Bet-Avenon, kaj ne ĵuru: Kiel vivas la Eternulo. 16Ĉar Izrael obstinas, kiel obstina bovino; ĉu nun la Eternulo povas paŝti ilin, kiel ŝafidon sur vasta paŝtejo? 17Efraim aliĝis al idoloj; lasu lin. 18Abomeninda fariĝis ilia drinkado; ili fordonis sin al malĉastado kaj malhonora amo; honto al iliaj protektantoj. 19La vento forportos ilin per siaj flugiloj, kaj ili hontos pri siaj oferoj.

1Hear Yahweh’s word, you children of Israel; for Yahweh has a charge against the inhabitants of the land: “Indeed there is no truth, nor goodness, nor knowledge of God in the land. 2There is cursing, lying, murder, stealing, and committing adultery; they break boundaries, and bloodshed causes bloodshed. 3Therefore the land will mourn, and everyone who dwells therein will waste away. all living things in her, even the animals of the field and the birds of the sky; yes, the fish of the sea also die. 4“Yet let no man bring a charge, neither let any man accuse; For your people are like those who bring charges against a priest. 5You will stumble in the day, and the prophet will also stumble with you in the night; and I will destroy your mother. 6My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I will also reject you, that you may be no priest to me. Because you have forgotten your God’s law, I will also forget your children. 7As they were multiplied, so they sinned against me. I will change their glory into shame. 8They feed on the sin of my people, and set their heart on their iniquity. 9It will be, like people, like priest; and I will punish them for their ways, and will repay them for their deeds. 10They will eat, and not have enough. They will play the prostitute, and will not increase; because they have abandoned giving to Yahweh. 11Prostitution, wine, and new wine take away understanding. 12My people consult with their wooden idol, and answer to a stick of wood. Indeed the spirit of prostitution has led them astray, and they have been unfaithful to their God. 13They sacrifice on the tops of the mountains, and burn incense on the hills, under oaks and poplars and terebinths, because its shade is good. Therefore your daughters play the prostitute, and your brides commit adultery. 14I will not punish your daughters when they play the prostitute, nor your brides when they commit adultery; because the men consort with prostitutes, and they sacrifice with the shrine prostitutes; so the people without understanding will come to ruin. 15“Though you, Israel, play the prostitute, yet don’t let Judah offend; and don’t come to Gilgal, neither go up to Beth Aven, nor swear, ‘As Yahweh lives.’ 16For Israel has behaved extremely stubbornly, like a stubborn heifer. Then how will Yahweh feed them like a lamb in a meadow. 17Ephraim is joined to idols. Leave him alone! 18Their drink has become sour. They play the prostitute continually. Her rulers dearly love their shameful way. 19The wind has wrapped her up in its wings; and they shall be disappointed because of their sacrifices.

1Hoort des HEEREN woord, gij kinderen Israels! want de HEERE heeft een twist met de inwoners des lands, omdat er geen trouw, en geen weldadigheid, en geen kennis van God in het land is; 2Maar vloeken en liegen, en doodslaan, en stelen, en overspel doen; zij breken door, en bloedschulden raken aan bloedschulden. 3Daarom zal het land treuren, en een iegelijk, die daarin woont, kwelen, met het gedierte des velds, en met het gevogelte des hemels; ja, ook de vissen der zee zullen weggeraapt worden. 4Doch niemand twiste noch bestraffe iemand; want uw volk is als die met den priester twisten. 5Daarom zult gij vallen bij dag, ja, zelfs de profeet zal met u vallen bij nacht; en Ik zal uw moeder uitroeien. 6Mijn volk is uitgeroeid, omdat het zonder kennis is; dewijl gij de kennis verworpen hebt, heb Ik u ook verworpen, dat gij Mij het priesterambt niet zult bedienen; dewijl gij de wet uws Gods vergeten hebt, zal Ik ook uw kinderen vergeten. 7Gelijk zij meerder geworden zijn, alzo hebben zij tegen Mij gezondigd; Ik zal hunlieder eer in schande veranderen. 8Zij eten de zonde Mijns volks, en verlangen, een ieder met zijn ziel, naar hun ongerechtigheid. 9Daarom, gelijk het volk, alzo zal de priester zijn; en Ik zal zijn wegen over hem bezoeken, en zijn handelingen hem vergelden. 10En zij zullen eten, maar niet zat worden, zullen hoereren, maar niet uitbreken in menigte; want zij hebben nagelaten den HEERE in acht te nemen. 11Hoererij, en wijn, en most neemt het hart weg. 12Mijn volk vraagt zijn hout, en zijn stok zal het hem bekend maken; want de geest der hoererijen verleidt hen, dat zij van onder hun God weghoereren. 13Op de hoogten der bergen offeren zij, en op de heuvelen roken zij, onder een eik, en populier, en iepeboom, omdat derzelver schaduw goed is; daarom hoereren uw dochteren, en uw bruiden bedrijven overspel. 14Ik zal over uw dochteren geen bezoeking doen, omdat zij hoereren, en over uw bruiden, omdat zij overspel doen; want zij zelven scheiden zich af met de hoeren, en offeren met de snoodste hoeren; het volk dan, dat geen verstand heeft zal omgekeerd worden. 15Zo gij, o Israel! wilt hoereren, dat immers Juda niet schuldig worde; komt gij toch niet te Gilgal, en gaat niet op naar Beth-Aven, en zweert niet: Zo waarachtig als de HEERE leeft. 16Want Israel is onbandig, als een onbandige koe; nu zal hen de HEERE weiden, als een lam in de ruimte. 17Efraim is vergezeld met de afgoden; laat hem varen. 18Hunlieder zuiperij is afvallig; zij doen niet dan hoereren; hun schilden (het is een schande!) beminnen het woord: Geeft. 19Een wind heeft hen gebonden in zijn vleugelen, en zij zullen beschaamd worden vanwege hun offeranden.
