Ψαλμοί 89

1«Μασχίλ του Εθάν του Εζραΐτου.» Τα ελέη του Κυρίου εις τον αιώνα θέλω ψάλλει· διά του στόματός μου θέλω αναγγέλλει την αλήθειάν σου εις γενεάν και γενεάν. 2Διότι είπα, το έλεός σου θέλει θεμελιωθή εις τον αιώνα· εν τοις ουρανοίς θέλεις στερεώσει την αλήθειάν σου. 3Έκαμα διαθήκην μετά του εκλεκτού μου· ώμοσα προς Δαβίδ τον δούλον μου· 4Διαπαντός θέλω στερεώσει το σπέρμα σου, και θέλω οικοδομήσει τον θρόνον σου εις γενεάν και γενεάν. Διάψαλμα. 5Και οι ουρανοί θέλουσιν υμνεί τα θαυμάσιά σου, Κύριε· και η αλήθειά σου θέλει εξυμνείσθαι εν τη συνάξει των αγίων. 6Διότι τις εν τω ουρανώ δύναται να εξισωθή με τον Κύριον; Τις μεταξύ των υιών των δυνατών δύναται να ομοιωθή με τον Κύριον; 7Ο Θεός είναι φοβερός σφόδρα εν τη βουλή των αγίων και σεβαστός εν πάσι τοις κύκλω αυτού. 8Κύριε Θεέ των δυνάμεων, τις όμοιός σου; δυνατός είσαι, Κύριε, και η αλήθειά σου είναι κύκλω σου. 9Συ δεσπόζεις την έπαρσιν της θαλάσσης· όταν σηκόνωνται τα κύματα αυτής, συ ταπεινόνεις αυτά. 10Συ συνέτριψας την Ραάβ ως τραυματίαν· διά του βραχίονος της δυνάμεώς σου διεσκόρπισας τους εχθρούς σου. 11Σού είναι οι ουρανοί και σου η γη την οικουμένην και το πλήρωμα αυτής, συ εθεμελίωσας αυτά. 12Τον βορράν και τον νότον, συ έκτισας αυτούς· Θαβώρ και Αερμών εις το όνομά σου θέλουσιν αγάλλεσθαι. 13Έχεις ισχυρόν τον βραχίονα· κραταιά είναι η χειρ σου· υψηλή η δεξιά σου. 14Η δικαιοσύνη και η κρίσις είναι η βάσις του θρόνου σου· το έλεος και η αλήθεια θέλουσι προπορεύεσθαι έμπροσθεν του προσώπου σου. 15Μακάριος ο λαός ο γινώσκων αλαλαγμόν· θέλουσι περιπατεί, Κύριε, εν τω φωτί του προσώπου σου. 16Εις το όνομά σου θέλουσιν αγάλλεσθαι όλην την ημέραν· και εις την δικαιοσύνην σου θέλουσιν υψωθή. 17Διότι συ είσαι το καύχημα της δυνάμεως αυτών· και διά της ευμενείας σου θέλει υψωθή το κέρας ημών. 18Διότι ο Κύριος είναι η ασπίς ημών· και ο Άγιος του Ισραήλ ο βασιλεύς ημών. 19Ελάλησας τότε δι' οράματος προς τον όσιόν σου και είπας· έθεσα βοήθειαν επί τον δυνατόν· ύψωσα εκλεκτόν εκ του λαού· 20Εύρηκα Δαβίδ τον δούλον μου· με το έλαιον το άγιόν μου έχρισα αυτόν· 21η χειρ μου θέλει στερεόνει αυτόν· και ο βραχίων μου θέλει ενδυναμόνει αυτόν. 22δεν θέλει υπερισχύσει εχθρός κατ' αυτού· ουδέ υιός ανομίας θέλει ταλαιπωρήσει αυτόν. 23Και θέλω κατακόψει απ' έμπροσθεν αυτού τους εχθρούς αυτού· και τους μισούντας αυτόν θέλω κατατροπώσει. 24Η δε αλήθειά μου και το έλεός μου θέλουσιν είσθαι μετ' αυτού· και εν τω ονόματί μου θέλει υψωθή το κέρας αυτού. 25Και θέλω θέσει την χείρα αυτού επί την θάλασσαν, και επί τους ποταμούς την δεξιάν αυτού. 26Αυτός θέλει κράξει προς εμέ, Πατήρ μου είσαι, Θεός μου και πέτρα της σωτηρίας μου. 27Εγώ βεβαίως θέλω κάμει αυτόν πρωτότοκόν μου, Ύψιστον επί τους βασιλείς της γης. 28Διαπαντός θέλω φυλάττει εις αυτόν το έλεός μου, και η διαθήκη μου θέλει είσθαι στερεά μετ' αυτού. 29Και θέλω κάμει να διαμένη το σπέρμα αυτού εις τον αιώνα, και ο θρόνος αυτού ως αι ημέραι του ουρανού. 30Εάν εγκαταλίπωσιν οι υιοί αυτού τον νόμον μου και εις τας κρίσεις μου δεν περιπατήσωσιν· 31Εάν παραβώσι τα διατάγματά μου και δεν φυλάξωσι τας εντολάς μου· 32Τότε θέλω επισκεφθή με ράβδον τας παραβάσεις αυτών και με πληγάς τας παρανομίας αυτών. 33Το έλεός μου όμως δεν θέλω αφαιρέσει απ' αυτού, ουδέ θέλω ψευσθή κατά της αληθείας μου. 34Δεν θέλω παραβή την διαθήκην μου, ουδέ θέλω αθετήσει ό,τι εξήλθεν εκ των χειλέων μου. 35Άπαξ ώμοσα εις την αγιότητά μου, ότι δεν θέλω ψευσθή προς τον Δαβίδ. 36Το σπέρμα αυτού θέλει διαμένει εις τον αιώνα και ο θρόνος αυτού ως ο ήλιος, ενώπιόν μου· 37Ως η σελήνη θέλει στερεωθή εις τον αιώνα και μάρτυς πιστός εν τω ουρανώ. Διάψαλμα. 38Αλλά συ απέβαλες και εβδελύχθης, ωργίσθης κατά του χριστού σου· 39ηκύρωσας την διαθήκην του δούλου σου· εβεβήλωσας το διάδημα αυτού έως της γης. 40Κατέβαλες πάντας τους φραγμούς αυτού· ηφάνισας τα οχυρώματα αυτού· 41διαρπάζουσιν αυτόν πάντες οι διαβαίνοντες την οδόν· κατεστάθη όνειδος εις τους γείτονας αυτού. 42Ύψωσας την δεξιάν των εναντίων αυτού· εύφρανας πάντας τους εχθρούς αυτού· 43ήμβλυνας μάλιστα το κοπτερόν της ρομφαίας αυτού και δεν εστερέωσας αυτόν εν τη μάχη· 44Έπαυσας την δόξαν αυτού και τον θρόνον αυτού έρριψας κατά γης. 45Ωλιγόστευσας τας ημέρας της νεότητος αυτού· ενέδυσας αυτόν με αισχύνην. Διάψαλμα. 46Έως πότε, Κύριε; θέλεις κρύπτεσθαι διαπαντός; θέλει καίεσθαι ως πυρ η οργή σου; 47Μνήσθητι πόσον βραχύς είναι ο καιρός μου, εν τίνι ματαιότητι εποίησας πάντας τους υιούς των ανθρώπων. 48Τις άνθρωπος θέλει ζήσει και δεν θέλει ιδεί θάνατον; τις θέλει λυτρώσει την ψυχήν αυτού εκ της χειρός του άδου; Διάψαλμα. 49Που είναι τα ελέη σου τα αρχαία, Κύριε, τα οποία ώμοσας προς τον Δαβίδ εν τη αληθεία σου; 50Μνήσθητι, Κύριε, του ονειδισμού των δούλων σου, τον οποίον φέρω εν τω κόλπω μου υπό τοσούτων πολυαρίθμων λαών· 51με τον οποίον ωνείδισαν οι εχθροί σου, Κύριε· με τον οποίον ωνείδισαν τα ίχνη του χριστού σου. 52Ευλογητός Κύριος εις τον αιώνα. Αμήν, και αμήν.

1I will sing of the loving kindness of Yahweh forever. With my mouth, I will make known your faithfulness to all generations. 2I indeed declare, “Love stands firm forever. You established the heavens. Your faithfulness is in them.” 3“I have made a covenant with my chosen one, I have sworn to David, my servant, 4‘I will establish your seed forever, and build up your throne to all generations.’” Selah. 5The heavens will praise your wonders, Yahweh; your faithfulness also in the assembly of the holy ones. 6For who in the skies can be compared to Yahweh? Who among the sons of the heavenly beings is like Yahweh, 7a very awesome God in the council of the holy ones, to be feared above all those who are around him? 8Yahweh, God of Armies, who is a mighty one, like you? Yah, your faithfulness is around you. 9You rule the pride of the sea. When its waves rise up, you calm them. 10You have broken Rahab in pieces, like one of the slain. You have scattered your enemies with your mighty arm. 11The heavens are yours. The earth also is yours; the world and its fullness. You have founded them. 12The north and the south, you have created them. Tabor and Hermon rejoice in your name. 13You have a mighty arm. Your hand is strong, and your right hand is exalted. 14Righteousness and justice are the foundation of your throne. Loving kindness and truth go before your face. 15Blessed are the people who learn to acclaim you. They walk in the light of your presence, Yahweh. 16In your name they rejoice all day. In your righteousness, they are exalted. 17For you are the glory of their strength. In your favor, our horn will be exalted. 18For our shield belongs to Yahweh; our king to the Holy One of Israel. 19Then you spoke in vision to your saints, and said, “I have bestowed strength on the warrior. I have exalted a young man from the people. 20I have found David, my servant. I have anointed him with my holy oil, 21with whom my hand shall be established. My arm will also strengthen him. 22No enemy will tax him. No wicked man will oppress him. 23I will beat down his adversaries before him, and strike those who hate him. 24But my faithfulness and my loving kindness will be with him. In my name, his horn will be exalted. 25I will set his hand also on the sea, and his right hand on the rivers. 26He will call to me, ‘You are my Father, my God, and the rock of my salvation!’ 27I will also appoint him my firstborn, the highest of the kings of the earth. 28I will keep my loving kindness for him forever more. My covenant will stand firm with him. 29I will also make his seed endure forever, and his throne as the days of heaven. 30If his children forsake my law, and don’t walk in my ordinances; 31if they break my statutes, and don’t keep my commandments; 32then I will punish their sin with the rod, and their iniquity with stripes. 33But I will not completely take my loving kindness from him, nor allow my faithfulness to fail. 34I will not break my covenant, nor alter what my lips have uttered. 35Once have I sworn by my holiness, I will not lie to David. 36His seed will endure forever, his throne like the sun before me. 37It will be established forever like the moon, the faithful witness in the sky.” Selah. 38But you have rejected and spurned. You have been angry with your anointed. 39You have renounced the covenant of your servant. You have defiled his crown in the dust. 40You have broken down all his hedges. You have brought his strongholds to ruin. 41All who pass by the way rob him. He has become a reproach to his neighbors. 42You have exalted the right hand of his adversaries. You have made all of his enemies rejoice. 43Yes, you turn back the edge of his sword, and haven’t supported him in battle. 44You have ended his splendor, and thrown his throne down to the ground. 45You have shortened the days of his youth. You have covered him with shame. Selah. 46How long, Yahweh? Will you hide yourself forever? Will your wrath burn like fire? 47Remember how short my time is! For what vanity have you created all the children of men! 48What man is he who shall live and not see death, who shall deliver his soul from the power of Sheol? Selah. 49Lord, where are your former loving kindnesses, which you swore to David in your faithfulness? 50Remember, Lord, the reproach of your servants, how I bear in my heart the taunts of all the mighty peoples, 51With which your enemies have mocked, Yahweh, with which they have mocked the footsteps of your anointed one. 52Blessed be Yahweh forever more. Amen, and Amen.

1Een onderwijzing van Ethan, den Ezrahiet. 2Ik zal de goedertierenheid des HEEREN eeuwiglijk zingen; ik zal Uw waarheid met mijn mond bekend maken, van geslacht tot geslacht. 3Want ik heb gezegd: Uw goedertierenheid zal eeuwiglijk gebouwd worden; in de hemelen zelve hebt Gij Uw waarheid bevestigd, zeggende: 4Ik heb een verbond gemaakt met Mijn uitverkorene; Ik heb Mijn knecht David gezworen: 5Ik zal uw zaad tot in eeuwigheid bevestigen, en uw troon opbouwen van geslacht tot geslacht. Sela. 6Dies loven de hemelen Uw wonderen, o HEERE! ook is Uw getrouwheid in de gemeente der heiligen. 7Want wie mag in den hemel tegen den HEERE geschat worden? Wie is den HEERE gelijk, onder de kinderen der sterken? 8God is grotelijks geducht in den raad der heiligen, en vreselijk boven allen, die rondom Hem zijn. 9O HEERE, God der heirscharen! wie is als Gij, grootmachtig, o HEERE! en Uw getrouwheid is rondom U. 10Gij heerst over de opgeblazenheid der zee; wanneer haar baren zich verheffen, zo stilt Gij ze. 11Gij hebt Rahab verbrijzeld als een verslagene; Gij hebt Uw vijanden verstrooid met den arm Uwer sterkte. 12De hemel is Uwe, ook is de aarde Uwe; de wereld en haar volheid, die hebt Gij gegrond. 13Het noorden en het zuiden, die hebt Gij geschapen; Thabor en Hermon juichen in Uw Naam. 14Gij hebt een arm met macht; Uw hand is sterk, Uw rechterhand is hoog. 15Gerechtigheid en gericht zijn de vastigheid Uws troons; goedertierenheid en waarheid gaan voor Uw aanschijn henen. 16Welgelukzalig is het volk, hetwelk het geklank kent; o HEERE! zij zullen in het licht Uws aanschijns wandelen. 17Zij zullen zich den gansen dag verheugen in Uw Naam, en door Uw gerechtigheid verhoogd worden. 18Want Gij zijt de heerlijkheid hunner sterkte; en door Uw welbehagen zal onze hoorn verhoogd worden. 19Want ons schild is van den HEERE, en onze koning is van den Heilige Israels. 20Toen hebt Gij in een gezicht gesproken van Uw heilige, en gezegd: Ik heb hulp besteld bij een held; Ik heb een verkorene uit het volk verhoogd. 21Ik heb David, Mijn knecht, gevonden; met Mijn heilige olie heb Ik hem gezalfd; 22Met welken Mijn hand vast blijven zal; ook zal hem Mijn arm versterken. 23De vijand zal hem niet dringen, en de zoon der ongerechtigheid zal hem niet onderdrukken. 24Maar Ik zal zijn wederpartijders verpletteren voor zijn aangezicht, en die hem haten, zal Ik plagen. 25En Mijn getrouwheid en Mijn goedertierenheid zullen met hem zijn; en zijn hoorn zal in Mijn Naam verhoogd worden. 26En Ik zal zijn hand in de zee zetten, en zijn rechterhand in de rivieren. 27Hij zal Mij noemen: Gij zijt mijn Vader! mijn God, en de Rotssteen mijns heils! 28Ook zal Ik hem ten eerstgeborenen zoon stellen, ten hoogste over de koningen der aarde. 29Ik zal hem Mijn goedertierenheid in eeuwigheid houden, en Mijn verbond zal hem vast blijven. 30En Ik zal zijn zaad in eeuwigheid zetten, en zijn troon als de dagen der hemelen. 31Indien zijn kinderen Mijn wet verlaten, en in Mijn rechten niet wandelen; 32Indien zij Mijn inzettingen ontheiligen, en Mijn geboden niet houden; 33Zo zal Ik hun overtreding met de roede bezoeken, en hun ongerechtigheid met plagen. 34Maar Mijn goedertierenheid zal Ik van hem niet wegnemen, en in Mijn getrouwheid niet feilen. 35Ik zal Mijn verbond niet ontheiligen, en hetgeen uit Mijn lippen gegaan is, zal Ik niet veranderen. 36Ik heb eens gezworen bij Mijn heiligheid: Zo Ik aan David liege! 37Zijn zaad zal in der eeuwigheid zijn, en zijn troon zal voor Mij zijn gelijk de zon. 38Hij zal eeuwiglijk bevestigd worden, gelijk de maan; en de Getuige in den hemel is getrouw. Sela. 39Maar Gij hebt hem verstoten en verworpen; Gij zijt verbolgen geworden tegen Uw gezalfde. 40Gij hebt het verbond Uws knechts te niet gedaan; Gij hebt zijn kroon ontheiligd tegen de aarde. 41Gij hebt al zijn muren doorgebroken; Gij hebt zijn vestingen nedergeworpen. 42Allen, die den weg voorbijgingen, hebben hem beroofd; zijn naburen is hij tot een smaad geweest. 43Gij hebt de rechterhand zijner wederpartijders verhoogd; Gij hebt al zijn vijanden verblijd. 44Gij hebt ook de scherpte zijns zwaards omgekeerd, en hebt hem niet staande gehouden in den strijd. 45Gij hebt zijn schoonheid doen ophouden; en Gij hebt zijn troon ter aarde nedergestoten. 46Gij hebt de dagen zijner jeugd verkort; Gij hebt hem met schaamte overdekt. Sela. 47Hoe lang, o HEERE! zult Gij U steeds verbergen, zal Uw grimmigheid branden als een vuur? 48Gedenk van hoedanige eeuw ik ben; waarom zoudt Gij aller mensenkinderen tevergeefs geschapen hebben? 49Wat man leeft er, die den dood niet zien zal, die zijn ziel zal bevrijden van het geweld des grafs? Sela. 50HEERE! waar zijn Uw vorige goedertierenheden, die Gij David gezworen hebt bij Uw trouw? 51Gedenk, HEERE! aan de smaad Uwer knechten, dien ik in mijn boezem draag, van alle grote volken. 52Waarmede, o HEERE! Uw vijanden smaden, waarmede zij de voetstappen Uws gezalfden smaden. Geloofd zij de HEERE in eeuwigheid! Amen, ja, amen.
