Ψαλμοί 33

1Αγάλλεσθε, δίκαιοι, εν Κυρίω· εις τους ευθείς αρμόζει η αίνεσις. 2Υμνείτε τον Κύριον εν κιθάρα· εν ψαλτηρίω δεκαχόρδω ψαλμωδήσατε εις αυτόν. 3Ψάλλετε εις αυτόν άσμα νέον· καλώς σημαίνετε τα όργανά σας εν αλαλαγμώ. 4Διότι ευθύς είναι ο λόγος του Κυρίου, και πάντα τα έργα αυτού μετά αληθείας. 5Αγαπά δικαιοσύνην και κρίσιν· από του ελέους του Κυρίου είναι πλήρης η γη. 6Με τον λόγον του Κυρίου έγειναν οι ουρανοί, και διά της πνοής του στόματος αυτού πάσα η στρατιά αυτών. 7Συνήγαγεν ως σωρόν τα ύδατα της θαλάσσης· έβαλεν εις αποθήκας τας αβύσσους. 8Ας φοβηθή τον Κύριον πάσα η γή· ας τρομάξωσιν απ' αυτού πάντες οι κάτοικοι της οικουμένης. 9Διότι αυτός είπε, και έγεινεν· αυτός προσέταξε, και εστερεώθη. 10Ο Κύριος ματαιόνει την βουλήν των εθνών, ανατρέπει τους διαλογισμούς των λαών. 11Η βουλή του Κυρίου μένει εις τον αιώνα· οι λογισμοί της καρδίας αυτού εις γενεάν και γενεάν. 12Μακάριον το έθνος, του οποίου ο Θεός είναι ο Κύριος. Ο λαός, τον οποίον εξέλεξε διά κληρονομίαν αυτού. 13Ο Κύριος διέκυψεν εξ ουρανού· είδε πάντας τους υιούς των ανθρώπων. 14Εκ του τόπου της κατοικήσεως αυτού θεωρεί πάντας τους κατοίκους της γης. 15Εξ ίσου έπλασε τας καρδίας αυτών· γνωρίζει πάντα τα έργα αυτών. 16Δεν σώζεται βασιλεύς διά πλήθους στρατεύματος· ο δυνατός δεν ελευθερούται διά της μεγάλης αυτού ανδρείας. 17Μάταιος ο ίππος προς σωτηρίαν· και διά της πολλής αυτού δυνάμεως δεν θέλει σώσει. 18Ιδού, ο οφθαλμός του Κυρίου είναι επί τους φοβουμένους αυτόν· επί τους ελπίζοντας επί το έλεος αυτού· 19διά να ελευθερώση εκ θανάτου την ψυχήν αυτών, και εν καιρώ πείνης να διαφυλάξη αυτούς εις ζωήν. 20Η ψυχή ημών προσμένει τον Κύριον· αυτός είναι βοηθός ημών και ασπίς ημών. 21Διότι εις αυτόν θέλει ευφρανθή η καρδία ημών, επειδή επί το όνομα αυτού το άγιον ηλπίσαμεν. 22Γένοιτο, Κύριε, το έλεός σου εφ' ημάς, καθώς ηλπίσαμεν επί σε.

1Rejoice in Yahweh, you righteous! Praise is fitting for the upright. 2Give thanks to Yahweh with the lyre. Sing praises to him with the harp of ten strings. 3Sing to him a new song. Play skillfully with a shout of joy! 4For Yahweh’s word is right. All his work is done in faithfulness. 5He loves righteousness and justice. The earth is full of the loving kindness of Yahweh. 6By Yahweh’s word, the heavens were made; all their army by the breath of his mouth. 7He gathers the waters of the sea together as a heap. He lays up the deeps in storehouses. 8Let all the earth fear Yahweh. Let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of him. 9For he spoke, and it was done. He commanded, and it stood firm. 10Yahweh brings the counsel of the nations to nothing. He makes the thoughts of the peoples to be of no effect. 11The counsel of Yahweh stands fast forever, the thoughts of his heart to all generations. 12Blessed is the nation whose God is Yahweh, the people whom he has chosen for his own inheritance. 13Yahweh looks from heaven. He sees all the sons of men. 14From the place of his habitation he looks out on all the inhabitants of the earth, 15he who fashions all of their hearts; and he considers all of their works. 16There is no king saved by the multitude of an army. A mighty man is not delivered by great strength. 17A horse is a vain thing for safety, neither does he deliver any by his great power. 18Behold, Yahweh’s eye is on those who fear him, on those who hope in his loving kindness; 19to deliver their soul from death, to keep them alive in famine. 20Our soul has waited for Yahweh. He is our help and our shield. 21For our heart rejoices in him, because we have trusted in his holy name. 22Let your loving kindness be on us, Yahweh, since we have hoped in you.

1Gij rechtvaardigen! zingt vrolijk in den HEERE; lof betaamt den oprechten. 2Looft den HEERE met de harp; psalmzingt Hem met de luit, en het tiensnarig instrument. 3Zingt Hem een nieuw lied; speelt wel met vrolijk geschal. 4Want des HEEREN woord is recht, en al Zijn werk getrouw. 5Hij heeft gerechtigheid en gericht lief; de aarde is vol van de goedertierenheid des HEEREN. 6Door het Woord des HEEREN zijn de hemelen gemaakt, en door den Geest Zijns monds al hun heir. 7Hij vergadert de wateren der zee als op een hoop; Hij stelt den afgronden schatkameren. 8Laat de ganse aarde voor den HEERE vrezen; laat alle inwoners van de wereld voor Hem schrikken. 9Want Hij spreekt, en het is er; Hij gebiedt, en het staat er. 10De HEERE vernietigt den raad der heidenen; Hij breekt de gedachten der volken. 11Maar de raad des HEEREN bestaat in eeuwigheid, de gedachten Zijns harten van geslacht tot geslacht. 12Welgelukzalig is het volk, welks God de HEERE is; het volk, dat Hij Zich ten erve verkoren heeft. 13De HEERE schouwt uit den hemel, en ziet alle mensenkinderen. 14Hij ziet uit van Zijn vaste woonplaats op alle inwoners der aarde. 15Hij formeert hun aller hart; Hij let op al hun werken. 16Een koning wordt niet behouden door een groot heir; een held wordt niet gered door grote kracht; 17Het paard feilt ter overwinning, en bevrijdt niet door zijn grote sterkte. 18Ziet, des HEEREN oog is over degenen, die Hem vrezen, op degenen, die op Zijn goedertierenheid hopen. 19Om hun ziel van den dood te redden, en om hen bij het leven te houden in den honger. 20Onze ziel verbeidt den HEERE: Hij is onze Hulp en ons Schild. 21Want ons hart is in Hem verblijd, omdat wij op den Naam Zijner heiligheid vertrouwen. 22Uw goedertierenheid, HEERE! zij over ons; gelijk als wij op U hopen.
