1Gánh nặng lời Ðức Giê-hô-va nghịch cùng đất Ha-đơ-rắc, nó sẽ đỗ trên Ða-mách: vì con mắt loài người và mọi chi phái Y-sơ-ra-ên đều ngó lên Ðức Giê-hô-va. 2Lời ấy cũng phán về Ha-mát, láng giềng của Ða-mách, về Ty-rơ và Si-đôn, vì các thành ấy là rất khôn sáng. 3Vì Ty-rơ đã xây một đồn lũy cho mình, và thâu chứa bạc như bụi đất, vàng ròng như bùn ngoài đường. 4Nầy, Chúa sẽ cất lấy của cải nó, xô quyền thế nó xuống biển, nó sẽ bị lửa thiêu nuốt. 5Ách-ca-lôn sẽ thấy và sợ; Ga-xa cũng thấy và rất đau đớn, Éc-rôn cũng vậy, vì sự nó trông mong sẽ nên xấu hổ; vua Ga-xa sẽ bị diệt và Ách-ca-lôn sẽ không có dân cư. 6Con ngoại tình sẽ làm vua trong Ách-đốt; ta sẽ trừ sự kiêu ngạo của người Phi-li-tin. 7Nhưng ta sẽ cất máu nó khỏi miệng nó, và sự gớm ghiếc nó khỏi giữa răng nó; nó cũng sẽ được sót lại cho Ðức Chúa Trời chúng ta, nó sẽ như tộc trưởng trong Giu-đa, và Éc-rôn sẽ như người Giê-bu-sít. 8Ta sẽ đóng trại chung quanh nhà ta nghịch cùng cơ binh, hầu cho chẳng ai qua lại. 1An oracle. Yahweh’s word is against the land of Hadrach, and will rest upon Damascus; for the eye of man and of all the tribes of Israel is toward Yahweh; 2and Hamath, also, which borders on it; Tyre and Sidon, because they are very wise. 3Tyre built herself a stronghold, and heaped up silver like the dust, and fine gold like the mire of the streets. 4Behold, the Lord will dispossess her, and he will strike her power in the sea; and she will be devoured with fire. 5Ashkelon will see it, and fear; Gaza also, and will writhe in agony; as will Ekron, for her expectation will be disappointed; and the king will perish from Gaza, and Ashkelon will not be inhabited. 6Foreigners will dwell in Ashdod, and I will cut off the pride of the Philistines. 7I will take away his blood out of his mouth, and his abominations from between his teeth; and he also will be a remnant for our God; and he will be as a chieftain in Judah, and Ekron as a Jebusite. 8I will encamp around my house against the army, that no one pass through or return; and no oppressor will pass through them any more: for now I have seen with my eyes. 9Rejoice greatly, daughter of Zion! Shout, daughter of Jerusalem! Behold, your King comes to you! He is righteous, and having salvation; lowly, and riding on a donkey, even on a colt, the foal of a donkey. 10I will cut off the chariot from Ephraim, and the horse from Jerusalem; and the battle bow will be cut off; and he will speak peace to the nations: and his dominion will be from sea to sea, and from the River to the ends of the earth. 11As for you also, because of the blood of your covenant, I have set free your prisoners from the pit in which is no water. 12Turn to the stronghold, you prisoners of hope! Even today I declare that I will restore double to you. 13For indeed I bend Judah as a bow for me. I have filled the bow with Ephraim; and I will stir up your sons, Zion, against your sons, Greece, and will make you like the sword of a mighty man. 14Yahweh will be seen over them; and his arrow will go flash like lightning; and the Lord Yahweh will blow the trumpet, and will go with whirlwinds of the south. 15Yahweh of Armies will defend them; and they will destroy and overcome with sling stones; and they will drink, and roar as through wine; and they will be filled like bowls, like the corners of the altar. 16Yahweh their God will save them in that day as the flock of his people; for they are like the jewels of a crown, lifted on high over his land. 17For how great is his goodness, and how great is his beauty! Grain will make the young men flourish, and new wine the virgins.

Ziet, uw Koning zal u komen, rechtvaardig, en Hij is een Heiland; arm, en rijdende op een ezel, en op een veulen, een jong der ezelinnen. 10En Ik zal de wagens uit Efraim uitroeien, en de paarden uit Jeruzalem; ook zal de strijdboog uitgeroeid worden, en Hij zal den heidenen vrede spreken; en Zijn heerschappij zal zijn van zee tot aan zee, en van de rivier tot aan de einden der aarde. 11U ook aangaande, o Sion! door het bloed uws verbonds, heb Ik uw gebondenen uit den kuil, daar geen water in is, uitgelaten. 12Keert gijlieden weder tot de sterkte, gij gebondenen, die daar hoopt! ook heden verkondig Ik, dat Ik u dubbel zal wedergeven; 13Als Ik Mij Juda zal gespannen, en Ik Efraim den boog zal gevuld hebben; en Ik uw kinderen, o Sion! zal verwekt hebben tegen uw kinderen, o Griekenland! en u gesteld zal hebben als het zwaard van een held. 14En de HEERE zal over henlieden verschijnen, en Zijn pijlen zullen uitvaren als een bliksem; en de Heere HEERE zal met de bazuin blazen, en Hij zal voorttreden met stormen uit het zuiden. 15De HEERE der heirscharen zal hen beschutten, en zij zullen eten, nadat zij de slingerstenen zullen ten ondergebracht hebben; zij zullen ook drinken, en een gedruis maken als de wijn; en zij zullen vervuld worden, gelijk het bekken, gelijk de hoeken des altaars. 16En de HEERE, hun God, zal ze te dien dage behouden, als zijnde de kudde Zijns volks; want gekroonde stenen zullen in Zijn land, als een banier, opgericht worden. 17Want hoe groot zal zijn goed wezen en hoe groot zal zijn schoonheid wezen! Het koren zal de jongelingen, en de most zal de jonkvrouwen sprekende maken.
