1Lại có lời của Ðức Giê-hô-va vạn quân phán cùng ta rằng: 2Ðức Giê-hô-va vạn quân có phán như vầy: Ta đã nổi ghen vì Si-ôn bởi một cơn ghen lớn, ta đã nổi ghen vì nó bởi cơn tức giận lớn. 3Ðức Giê-hô-va phán như vầy: Ta đã xây lại cùng Si-ôn, và ta sẽ ở giữa Giê-ru-sa-lem; Giê-ru-sa-lem sẽ được gọi là thành chơn thật; núi của Ðức Giê-hô-va vạn quân sẽ được gọi là núi thánh. 4Ðức Giê-hô-va vạn quân phán như vầy: Sẽ còn có những ông già, bà già ở trong các đường phố Giê-ru-sa-lem, ai nấy sẽ cầm gậy nơi tay, vì cớ mình cao tuổi. 5Các đường phố trong thành sẽ đầy những con trai con gái vui chơi trong đó. 6Ðức Giê-hô-va vạn quân phán như vầy: Trong những ngày đó, dầu những sự ấy coi như lạ lùng cho mắt ta sao? Ðức Giê-hô-va vạn quân phán vậy. 7Ðức Giê-hô-va vạn quân phán như vầy: Nầy, ta sẽ giải cứu dân ta từ phương đông phương tây, 8và đem chúng nó đến, chúng nó sẽ ở giữa Giê-ru-sa-lem, làm dân của ta, còn ta sẽ làm Ðức Chúa Trời chúng nó trong sự chơn thật và công bình. 9Ðức Giê-hô-va vạn quân phán như vầy: Các ngươi là kẻ, đương những ngày nầy, nghe các lời ấy từ miệng các tiên tri trong ngày mà nhà Ðức Giê-hô-va vạn quân, tức là đền thờ, đã được lập nền để xây lên, thì các ngươi khá làm tay mình nên mạnh. 10Vì chưng trước những ngày đó chẳng có tiền công cho người ta, cũng chẳng có tiền công cho thú vật; và vì cớ kẻ cừu địch, thì chẳng có sự bình an cho kẻ ra người vào; vì ta đã khiến mọi người ai nầy nghịch cùng kẻ lân cận mình. 11Nhưng bây giờ ta sẽ không đãi những kẻ sót lại của dân nầy như trước, Ðức Giê-hô-va vạn quân phán vậy. 12Vì ở đó sẽ có hột giống bình an; cây nho sẽ sanh trái, và đất sẽ sanh hoa lợi, các từng trời sẽ sa móc xuống, ta sẽ làm cho những kẻ sót lại của dân nầy được hưởng mọi sự đó. 13Hỡi nhà Giu-đa và nhà Y-sơ-ra-ên! sẽ xảy ra như các ngươi đã làm sự rủa sả trong các nước thể nào, thì ta sẽ cứu các ngươi, và các ngươi sẽ làm sự chúc phước thể ấy. Các ngươi chớ sợ hãi, song hãy làm cho tay mình nên mạnh! 14Vì Ðức Giê-hô-va vạn quân phán như vầy: Như ta đã toan giáng tai vạ cho các ngươi, khi tổ phụ các ngươi chọc giận ta, và ta không ăn năn, Ðức Giê-hô-va vạn quân phán vậy, 15thì ngày nay cũng vậy, ta lại đã toan làm ơn cho Giê-ru-sa-lem và cho nhà Giu-đa: các ngươi chớ sợ chi! 16Nầy là những sự các ngươi phải làm: Ai nấy khá lấy điều thật nói cùng kẻ lân cận mình; hãy làm sự chơn thật và sự phán xét bình an trong cửa thành các ngươi. 17Chớ toan sự dữ trong lòng nghịch cùng kẻ lân cận; và chớ ưa sự thề dối, vì ấy đó là những điều mà ta ghét, Ðức Giê-hô-va phán vậy. 18Ðoạn, có lời của Ðức Giê-hô-va vạn quân phán cùng ta, mà rằng: 19Ðức Giê-hô-va vạn quân có phán như vầy: Sự kiêng ăn về tháng tư, sự kiêng ăn về tháng năm, sự kiêng ăn về tháng bảy, sự kiêng ăn về tháng mười sẽ làm sự vui mừng hớn hở, và ngày lễ vui chơi cho nhà Giu-đa. Vậy hãy ưa sự chơn thật và bình an. 20Ðức Giê-hô-va vạn quân phán như vầy: Sẽ xảy ra các dân và dân cư nhiều thành đều đến, 21và dân cư thành nầy đi đến thành khác mà nói rằng: Chúng ta hãy đi mau, đặng nài xin ơn Ðức Giê-hô-va, và tìm kiếm Ðức Giê-hô-va vạn quân; ta cũng sẽ đi. 22Như vậy có nhiều dân và nhiều nước mạnh sẽ đến tìm kiếm Ðức Giê-hô-va vạn quân tại Giê-ru-sa-lem, và ở đó nài xin ơn Ðức Giê-hô-va. 23Ðức Giê-hô-va vạn quân phán như vầy: Sẽ xảy ra trong những ngày đó, có mười người từ mọi thứ tiếng trong các nước ra, nắm chặt vạt áo của một người Giu-đa, mà nói rằng: Chúng ta sẽ đi cùng các ngươi, vì chúng ta có nghe rằng Ðức Giê-hô-va ở cùng các ngươi.
1The word of Yahweh of Armies came to me. 2Thus says Yahweh of Armies: “I am jealous for Zion with great jealousy, and I am jealous for her with great wrath.” 3Thus says Yahweh: “I have returned to Zion, and will dwell in the midst of Jerusalem. Jerusalem shall be called ‘The City of Truth;’ and the mountain of Yahweh of Armies, ‘The Holy Mountain.’” 4Thus says Yahweh of Armies: “Old men and old women will again dwell in the streets of Jerusalem, every man with his staff in his hand for very age. 5The streets of the city will be full of boys and girls playing in its streets.” 6Thus says Yahweh of Armies: “If it is marvelous in the eyes of the remnant of this people in those days, should it also be marvelous in my eyes?” says Yahweh of Armies. 7Thus says Yahweh of Armies: “Behold, I will save my people from the east country, and from the west country; 8and I will bring them, and they will dwell in the midst of Jerusalem; and they will be my people, and I will be their God, in truth and in righteousness.” 9Thus says Yahweh of Armies: “Let your hands be strong, you who hear in these days these words from the mouth of the prophets who were in the day that the foundation of the house of Yahweh of Armies was laid, even the temple, that it might be built. 10For before those days there was no wages for man, nor any wages for an animal; neither was there any peace to him who went out or came in, because of the adversary. For I set all men everyone against his neighbor. 11But now I will not be to the remnant of this people as in the former days,” says Yahweh of Armies. 12“For the seed of peace and the vine will yield its fruit, and the ground will give its increase, and the heavens will give their dew; and I will cause the remnant of this people to inherit all these things. 13It shall come to pass that, as you were a curse among the nations, house of Judah and house of Israel, so will I save you, and you shall be a blessing. Don’t be afraid. Let your hands be strong.” 14For thus says Yahweh of Armies: “As I thought to do evil to you, when your fathers provoked me to wrath,” says Yahweh of Armies, “and I didn’t repent; 15so again have I thought in these days to do good to Jerusalem and to the house of Judah. Don’t be afraid. 16These are the things that you shall do: speak every man the truth with his neighbor. Execute the judgment of truth and peace in your gates, 17and let none of you devise evil in your hearts against his neighbor, and love no false oath: for all these are things that I hate,” says Yahweh. 18The word of Yahweh of Armies came to me. 19Thus says Yahweh of Armies: “The fasts of the fourth fifth, seventh, and tenth months shall be for the house of Judah joy and gladness, and cheerful feasts. Therefore love truth and peace.” 20Thus says Yahweh of Armies: “Many peoples, and the inhabitants of many cities will yet come; 21and the inhabitants of one shall go to another, saying, ‘Let us go speedily to entreat the favor of Yahweh, and to seek Yahweh of Armies. I will go also.’ 22Yes, many peoples and strong nations will come to seek Yahweh of Armies in Jerusalem, and to entreat the favor of Yahweh.” 23Thus says Yahweh of Armies: “In those days, ten men will take hold, out of all the languages of the nations, they will take hold of the skirt of him who is a Jew, saying, ‘We will go with you, for we have heard that God is with you.’”
1Daarna geschiedde het woord des HEEREN der heirscharen tot mij, zeggende: 2Alzo zegt de HEERE der heirscharen: Ik heb geijverd over Sion met een groten ijver; ja, met grote grimmigheid heb Ik over haar geijverd. 3Alzo zegt de HEERE: Ik ben wedergekeerd tot Sion, en Ik zal in het midden van Jeruzalem wonen; en Jeruzalem zal geheten worden een stad der waarheid, en de berg des HEEREN der heirscharen, een berg der heiligheid. 4Alzo zegt de HEERE der heirscharen: Er zullen nog oude mannen en oude vrouwen zitten op de straten van Jeruzalem; een ieder zal zijn stok in zijn hand hebben vanwege de veelheid der dagen. 5En de straten dier stad zullen vervuld worden met knechtjes en meisjes, spelende op haar straten. 6Alzo zegt de HEERE der heirscharen: Omdat het wonderlijk is in de ogen van het overblijfsel dezes volks in deze dagen, zou het daarom ook in Mijn ogen wonderlijk zijn? spreekt de HEERE der heirscharen. 7Alzo zegt de HEERE der heirscharen: Ziet, Ik zal Mijn volk verlossen uit het land des opgangs, en uit het land des nedergangs der zon. 8En Ik zal hen herwaarts brengen, dat zij in het midden van Jeruzalem wonen zullen; en zij zullen Mij tot een volk zijn, en Ik zal hun tot een God zijn, in waarheid en in gerechtigheid. 9Alzo zegt de HEERE der heirscharen: Laat uw handen sterk zijn, gijlieden, die in deze dagen deze woorden gehoord hebt uit den mond der profeten, die geweest zijn ten dage, als de grond van het huis des HEEREN der heirscharen gelegd is, dat de tempel gebouwd zou worden. 10Want voor die dagen kwam des mensen loon te niet, en het loon van het vee was geen; en de uitgaande en de inkomende hadden geen vrede vanwege den vijand, want Ik zond alle mensen, een iegelijk tegen zijn naaste. 11Maar nu zal Ik aan het overblijfsel dezes volks niet wezen, gelijk in de vorige dagen, spreekt de HEERE der heirscharen. 12Want het zaad zal voorspoedig zijn, de wijnstok zal zijn vrucht geven, en de aarde zal haar inkomen geven, en de hemelen zullen hun dauw geven; en Ik zal het overblijfsel dezes volks dit alles doen erven. 13En het zal geschieden, gelijk als gij, o huis van Juda! en gij, o huis Israels, geweest zijt een vloek onder de heidenen, alzo zal Ik ulieden behoeden, en gij zult een zegening wezen; vreest niet, laat uw handen sterk zijn. 14Want alzo zegt de HEERE der heirscharen: Gelijk als Ik gedacht heb ulieden kwaad te doen, toen Mij uw vaderen grotelijks vertoornden, zegt de HEERE der heirscharen, en het heeft Mij niet berouwd; 15Alzo denk Ik wederom in deze dagen goed te doen aan Jeruzalem, en aan het huis van Juda; vreest niet! 16Dit zijn de dingen, die gij doen zult: spreekt de waarheid, een iegelijk met zijn naaste; oordeelt de waarheid en een oordeel des vredes in uw poorten. 17En denkt niet de een des anderen kwaad in ulieder hart; en hebt een valsen eed niet lief; want al deze zijn dingen, die Ik haat, spreekt de HEERE. 18Wederom geschiedde het woord des HEEREN der heirscharen tot mij, zeggende: 19Alzo zegt de HEERE der heirscharen: Het vasten der vierde, en het vasten der vijfde, en het vasten der zevende, en het vasten der tiende maand, zal den huize van Juda tot vreugde, en tot blijdschap, en tot vrolijke hoogtijden wezen; hebt dan de waarheid en den vrede lief. 20Alzo zegt de HEERE der heirscharen: Nog zal het geschieden, dat de volken, en de inwoners van vele steden komen zullen; 21En de inwoners der ene stad zullen gaan tot de inwoners der andere, zeggende: Laat ons vlijtig henengaan, om te smeken het aangezicht des HEEREN, en om den HEERE der heirscharen te zoeken; ik zal ook henengaan. 22Alzo zullen vele volken, en machtige heidenen komen, om den HEERE der heirscharen te Jeruzalem te zoeken, en om het aangezicht des HEEREN te smeken. 23Alzo zegt de HEERE der heirscharen: Het zal in die dagen geschieden, dat tien mannen, uit allerlei tongen der heidenen, grijpen zullen, ja, de slip grijpen zullen van een Joodsen man, zeggende: Wij zullen met ulieden gaan, want wij hebben gehoord, dat God met ulieden is.
