1Hỡi con cái Y-sơ-ra-ên, hãy nghe lời nầy, là lời Ðức Giê-hô-va phán nghịch cùng các ngươi, tức là nghịch cùng cả họ hàng mà ta đã đem lên khỏi đất Ê-díp-tô. 2Ta đã biết chỉ một mình các ngươi trong mọi họ hàng trên đất; vậy nên ta sẽ thăm phạt các ngươi vì mọi sự gian ác các ngươi. 3Nếu hai người không đồng ý với nhau, thì há cùng đi chung được sao? 4Nếu sư tử không bắt được mồi, thì há có gầm thét trong rừng sao? Sư tử con nếu không bắt được gì, thì há có làm vang những tiếng kêu từ nơi sâu của hang nó sao? 5Con chim, nếu chẳng có bẫy gài để bắt nó, thì nó há sa vào trong lưới giăng ra trên đất sao? Bằng chẳng bắt được gì thì lưới há có dựt lên khỏi đất? 6Kèn thổi trong thành thì dân sự há chẳng sợ sao? Sự tai vạ há có xảy ra cho một thành kia nếu mà Ðức Giê-hô-va chẳng làm? 7Cũng vậy, Chúa Giê-hô-va chẳng có làm một việc gì mà Ngài chưa tỏ sự kín nhiệm Ngài ra trước cho tôi tớ Ngài, là các Ðấng tiên tri. 8Khi sư tử gầm thét, thì ai mà chẳng sợ? Khi Chúa Giê-hô-va đã phán dạy, thì ai mà chẳng nói tiên tri? 9Hãy rao truyền ra trong các đền đài Ách-đốt và trong các đền đài của đất Ê-díp-tô, và nói rằng: Các ngươi khá nhóm lại trên các núi của Sa-ma-ri; hãy xem nhiều sự rối loạn lớn lao ở đó, và những sự bạo ngược giữa nó. 10Ðức Giê-hô-va phán: Chúng nó không biết làm sự ngay thẳng; chúng nó chất chứa của hung dữ và cướp dựt ở trong các đền đài mình. 11Vậy nên Chúa Giê-hô-va phán như vầy: Nầy, kẻ nghịch sẽ đến vây bọc đất nầy; nó cất mất sức mạnh ngươi, và những đền đài ngươi sẽ bị cướp phá. 12Ðức Giê-hô-va phán như vầy: Như kẻ chăn chiên chỉ gỡ được hai giò hay một tai ra khỏi họng sư tử, thì những con cái Y-sơ-ra-ên, là những kẻ ngồi tại Sa-ma-ri nơi góc giường và trên thảm của Ða-mách, cũng sẽ được cứu cách như vậy. 13Chúa Giê-hô-va, Ðức Chúa Trời vạn quân phán rằng: Hãy nghe, và làm chứng nghịch cùng nhà Gia-cốp. 14Ðến ngày mà ta sẽ thăm phạt Y-sơ-ra-ên về tội lỗi nó, ta cũng sẽ thăm phạt các bàn thờ của Bê-tên; những sừng của bàn thờ sẽ bị chặt và rơi xuống đất. 15Bấy giờ ta sẽ đánh nhà mùa đông và nhà mùa hạ; những nhà bằng ngà voi sẽ bị phá, và những nhà lớn sẽ bị hủy diệt, Ðức Giê-hô-va phán vậy.
1Hear this word that Yahweh has spoken against you, children of Israel, against the whole family which I brought up out of the land of Egypt, saying: 2“You only have I chosen of all the families of the earth. Therefore I will punish you for all of your sins.” 3Do two walk together, unless they have agreed? 4Will a lion roar in the thicket, when he has no prey? Does a young lion cry out of his den, if he has caught nothing? 5Can a bird fall in a trap on the earth, where no snare is set for him? Does a snare spring up from the ground, when there is nothing to catch? 6Does the trumpet alarm sound in a city, without the people being afraid? Does evil happen to a city, and Yahweh hasn’t done it? 7Surely the Lord Yahweh will do nothing, unless he reveals his secret to his servants the prophets. 8The lion has roared. Who will not fear? The Lord Yahweh has spoken. Who can but prophesy? 9Proclaim in the palaces at Ashdod, and in the palaces in the land of Egypt, and say, “Assemble yourselves on the mountains of Samaria, and see what unrest is in her, and what oppression is among them.” 10“Indeed they don’t know to do right,” says Yahweh, “Who hoard plunder and loot in their palaces.” 11Therefore thus says the Lord Yahweh: “An adversary will overrun the land; and he will pull down your strongholds, and your fortresses will be plundered.” 12Thus says Yahweh: “As the shepherd rescues out of the mouth of the lion two legs, or a piece of an ear, so shall the children of Israel be rescued who sit in Samaria on the corner of a couch, and on the silken cushions of a bed.” 13“Listen, and testify against the house of Jacob,” says the Lord Yahweh, the God of Armies. 14“For in the day that I visit the transgressions of Israel on him, I will also visit the altars of Bethel; and the horns of the altar will be cut off, and fall to the ground. 15I will strike the winter house with the summer house; and the houses of ivory will perish, and the great houses will have an end,” says Yahweh.
1Hoort dit woord, dat de HEERE tegen ulieden spreekt, gij kinderen van Israel! namelijk tegen het ganse geslacht, dat Ik uit Egypteland heb opgevoerd, zeggende: 2Uit alle geslachten des aardbodems heb Ik ulieden alleen gekend; daarom zal Ik al uw ongerechtigheden over ulieden bezoeken. 3Zullen twee te zamen wandelen, tenzij dat zij bijeengekomen zijn? 4Zal een leeuw brullen in het woud, als hij geen roof heeft? Zal een jonge leeuw uit zijn hol zijn stem verheffen, tenzij dat hij wat gevangen hebbe? 5Zal een vogel in den strik op de aarde vallen, als er geen strik voor hem is? Zal men den strik van den aardbodem opnemen, als men ganselijk niet heeft gevangen? 6Zal de bazuin in de stad geblazen worden, dat het volk niet siddere? zal er een kwaad in de stad zijn, dat de HEERE niet doet? 7Gewisselijk, de Heere HEERE zal geen ding doen, tenzij Hij Zijn verborgenheid aan Zijn knechten, de profeten, geopenbaard hebbe. 8De leeuw heeft gebruld, wie zou niet vrezen? De Heere HEERE heeft gesproken, wie zou niet profeteren? 9Doet het horen in de paleizen te Asdod, en in de paleizen in Egypteland, en zegt: Verzamelt u op de bergen van Samaria, en ziet de grote beroerten in het midden van haar, en de verdrukten binnen in haar. 10Want zij weten niet te doen, dat recht is, spreekt de HEERE; die in hun paleizen schatten vergaderen door geweld en verstoring. 11Daarom, zo zegt de Heere HEERE: De vijand! en dat rondom het land! die zal uw sterkte van u nederstorten, en uw paleizen zullen uitgeplunderd worden. 12Alzo zegt de HEERE: Gelijk als een herder twee schenkelen, of een stukje van een oor uit des leeuwen muil redt, alzo zullen de kinderen Israels gered worden, die daar zitten te Samaria, in den hoek van het bed, en op de sponde van de koets. 13Hoort en betuigt in het huis Jakobs, spreekt de Heere HEERE, de God der heirscharen; 14Dat Ik, ten dage als Ik Israels overtredingen over hem bezoeken zal, ook bezoeking zal doen over de altaren van Beth-El; en de hoornen des altaars zullen worden afgehouwen, en ter aarde vallen. 15En Ik zal het winterhuis met het zomerhuis slaan; en de elpenbenen huizen zullen vergaan, en de grote huizen een einde nemen, spreekt de HEERE.
